IMPACT WEEKLY

Impact Weekly— 22nd – 28th April.
Message for the weekNext Level Christianity- by Pastor David Wale Feso.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt”? Matt 14:28-31 (KJV).

Peter was not walking on the water because there was no wind; neither was he walking on the water because there were no waves. He was walking on the water by faith. The bible says; and beginning to sink. So why did he sink? The bible says he was afraid. Take note of this, that when Peter was beginning to sink, Jesus did not stretch out His hand to save him. Until he said; “Lord, save me”. In saying that, he accepted deliverance from Jesus, otherwise Peter would have sunk there.
Someone may say; “God told me to go into the ministry, I went there, I suffered and I angrily left. Now he left the ministry because he did not accept deliverance. Peter when he was beginning to sink, would have died there if all he was saying was; “Jesus am dying, Jesus am going”, but no. He cried out; “Lord, save me” and Jesus stretched out His hand quickly and saved him.
That is the same way life is, instead of you to ask for deliverance and reach out with your faith for deliverance, you see some persons saying words like; “I am closer to where I am going than where I am coming from”.
Then things gets worse, still when they would have reached out in faith, they continue to confess that things are getting worse. In that process, they just keep on sinking because they did not accept deliverance. Accept deliverance by crying out: “Lord, save me”. And just as Jesus responded to Peter, He would also deliver you from that challenge.
This is why many sad things happen to some Christians because they did not accept deliverance. When they are in a car and the driver suddenly steps on the brakes their first response is for them to shout out that they are dying, then an accident takes place and they die. Why? They said it and they had what they said. But someone else says; “Jesus, save me” and they found themselves outside the car. Why? They accepted deliverance.
One of my friends had such an experience sometime ago on his way to Calabar. On those high parts of the road, their vehicle had an accident, their driver could not be found, and some other people could not find their ears, others had all kinds of injuries, but my friend was found outside the car with his bag. When he was found, he was asked if he came with the other people. He said yes. Then they asked how he came out of the car unharmed with his bag, he said he did not know. Now the greatest miracle was not that my friend was saved but that the angel of the Lord remembered his bag. Think about that. The angel carried him out to stand by the side of the road with his bag so that if he wants, he can easily enter into a vehicle and keep on going.
This is to show you how God loves His own and He is willing to protect us if only we believe for it. In the book of Joshua, Rahab and her household was spared from the collapse of the wall of Jericho which the bible says fell down flat. There was a greater miracle there because her house was on the wall and the whole wall fell down flat, yet Rahab and all her household was spared including all their property. Now this beats my mind because he not only saved them, He also saved their property: their cups, spoons and all that they had. See Joshua 6:22-25.
Having this understanding, you will know that it is impossible for you house to burn. Why? Because you are kept safe by the Lord. Think about this, one of our members was coming from one of the riverine villages and her boat capsized, but guess what; she found herself floating on the
water. She didn’t know how to swim but yet she was floating. Why? There is a God in this commission who keeps His own.  For this cause I make this declaration over your life that; you won’t lose your phone any more, you won’t lose your things anymore; no thief would come to your house any more in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Have you heard some preachers who say things like; “you see God can give you a child that is an imbecile or maybe a child that the leg is broken. No that message is not for you. Your children shall be born sound; they shall be whole without any deformity in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is an evil world and that is why such children are born. I am not against those who have such children; I believe that they can be healed, but for us we accept deliverance because Jesus died to deliver us from this present evil world.
The world is evil, but Jesus died to make it possible for you to be safe. I heard the story about how some assassins went to a man’s house to kill him, and they entered his bedroom and told his wife to get up. She got up. Then they asked; where is your husband? Her husband was there yet they could not see him. They carried the foam and turned it upside down with the man on it, yet they could not see him. Know this that you are hidden from evil eyes in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Learn to accept deliverance. The bible says they took Jesus to go and throw Him down the cliff, but He walked pass the midst of them unharmed. I chose to accept deliverance. That is what Jesus died for. He died to deliver us from this present evil world. See Luke 4:29-30.
“Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.” Romans 4:23-24 (KJV).

Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead? If you do, then righteousness has been imputed unto you. That means in the sight of God you are righteous. Live with this understanding and you will lose all your fears. See Isaiah 54:14; Proverbs 12:28.

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preach unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain” 1 Corinthians 15:1.
Notice from the above scripture that you ought to keep in memory the things which you have heard. That is one of the reasons why we buy messages; so we can remind ourselves of what we’ve learnt and keep the word in memory.
In Hebrews 2:1; the bible reminds us to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. We have to keep these things in memory, the things which we have heard.
“Grace be to you, and peace, from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father”. Galatians 1:3-4.
There are a lot of folks who feel that Father God is wicked, but the bible says; that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. The Father gave His Son because He loves you. So you are loved by God. You are the reason He gave His Son.
In Romans 5:8; the bible says; “God commended His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. In other words the death of Jesus Christ was God’s way of showing you that He loves you. So if you ever doubts whether God loves you, the question I want to ask you is; did He die for you? Yes, He died for you. That means He loves you.

Paul said Christ Jesus came to save sinners of whom I am chief. He personalized it. You too must personalize the death of Christ and say Jesus died for me, He was buried and He rose again for my justification.
He gave Himself for our sins that he might deliver us from this present evil world. The world is evil that is why the bible says the whole world lies in darkness. So how can I be spared from all the evil happening in the world? How can I be safe from accidents you may want to ask? This is the answer; the bible says He gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world. His death was God’s way of telling you that your deliverance in all kinds of mishaps has been paid for. So the next time you travel, know that there is no armed robber waiting for you because He gave Himself to deliver us from this present evil world.
This world is evil. I heard a story of someone that was bathing his child and he said he heard a voice telling him to drown his child in the bath tub, and he drowned his own child. What about the woman who gets pregnant, and then goes to get an abortion; and kills her baby. Or the girl who gets pregnant and the boy that have been telling her he loves her begin to threaten her to get her to abort the baby. No he didn’t love her. The proof of love is evident when it is challenging, difficult and displeasing. So if you claim to love someone, you must be willing to bear the shame with that person.
Jesus claimed to love you, and in your state of sin; which brings shame, He became sin for you on the cross where He bore your shame because He loves you. So if you love someone, you will stick with them when it is challenging, difficult and displeasing.
The bible lets us know from our opening scripture in Galatians 1:3; that Christ died for us in order to deliver us from this present evil world. But what about persecution you may want to ask? Persecution is different, in persecution you offer your life to die. Go and read Foxes Book of Marty or Hebrews 11:33 you will see this clearly.
“Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fights, turned to flight the armies of the aliens, women received their dead raised back to life again and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection”. Hebrews 11:33-35.

Those that were tortured were tortured not because God did not want to save them, but they wanted to offer their lives so they did not accept deliverance. They had faith wanting to go through the torture and to be killed for the gospel sake. This is what you need to understand about the persecution of the apostles, they offered their lives. Not because God could not save them, but they chose to offer their lives. Paul said it is time for me to be poured out as a drink offering; Peter said it is time for me to shed off this tabernacle; this shows that they were ready to die.
The bible says; Jesus gave Himself for us, to deliver us from this present evil world according to the will of God our Father. God wants you to be delivered. Someone may ask saying; where was God when so and so was killed in an accident? No, he did not accept deliverance. I have never had an accident; I will never have an accident. I’ve been saying it. The devil knows that I should not have an accident.
You may want to know why I said that. Now I want you to answer this; did you hear that Jesus boat capsized and Peter was asking; Master is this how you will die? Instead you hear Jesus rebuke the wind saying; Peace be still, wind be calm, hush, and then He turned to them and asked; where is your faith? He accepted deliverance. When Jesus was coming in the fourth watch of the night walking on the water, the disciples were been faced with a storm. He saw them and would have passed by, for out of fear they said it’s a ghost, but Peter said if it is thou bid me come to you on the water. Jesus did not say Peter, this thing is risky, have you written your will? He just said come. (Matthew 14:24-32). Don’t forget that there was a storm. Know this that things are not a smooth ride for us because there is no trouble, the presence of the trouble lets us know that it is God that is letting us have a smooth ride. Someone may say the reason why things are difficult is because they have not paid us for a while. No you should be walking on water.

Devotional  Articles.  April 21th

Spiritual growth is multi- dimensional.

Spiritual growth been multi-dimensional means that there are many things you need to do to grow. “
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers”. Acts 2:42 (KJV)
To grow spiritually, you have to be involved in fellowship with other believers.
You grow warmer through your fellowship with other believers. What that means is; you become more friendly, passionate and enthusiastic by fellowshipping with others. Secondly, you grow deeper through teaching. Jesus speaking in Matthew 28:20, said; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20 (KJV). Thirdly as you practice the love walk the more perfected in character you become. For love is the bound of perfectness (Col. 3:14). Read: Acts 1:14,Rom.12:12,
Rom.10: 15-17,Col. 1:23,Eph.3:16-19.

Your Inheritance...

Message for the week-
by Pastor David Wale Feso.

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all. Gal 4:1

An heir is one who has the right to the inheritance. The bible lets us know that you have an inheritance.
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:12.
So we are supposed to be partakers of the inheritance. There is an inheritance for you in Christ.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Eph 1:3
The believer is already blessed with all spiritual blessings. That means you’ve got the blessings for finances, you’ve got the blessing for a great marriage, you’ve got the blessing to never see accidents, you’ve got the blessing to always experience promotions, etc. You have all spiritual blessings. But when you look at your life do you see all these blessings? If not, so what is the issue? That is what we are looking at:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Eph 1:7-8
He is saying we have grace lavished on us; but are you seeing the grace work?
You are blessed but you are broke. You are blessed but you are sick. You are blessed but you had an accident. So why are all these things happening? Some will say; “when I got born again, they told me that I am going to be free from bad habits, and I’ve tried to be free but I am still bound to it”. So what is the cause of the discouragement? They were not rightly taught.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts 20:32

He says the word of His grace would build you up and deliver your inheritance into your hands. So as a child of God you need to be aware of this, that the fact that God said something and you are not seeing that thing happen in your life now, God is not to blame. The issue is my relationship with His word. So your inheritance would not be given to you unless you are built up.
To illustrate this; imagine a king who died and his first son was just one year old, that son can’t rule. Even though that child is the king, he is just one year old so he cannot rule. That is how many of God’s people are; they are children of God, blessed with all spiritual blessings but they cannot enjoy it. Why? Because they have refused to grow. So if you would not grow, there are a lot of things which God has loaded for you but you would not enjoy. This is not because God hates you, but because you are a child (babe).

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 2 Peter 1:2
The word ‘grace’ is from the Greek word ‘Charis’; it refers to favour. That scripture can be read as favour and peace be multiplied unto you. This means that there are levels of favour and there are levels of peace. So the level of favour you are enjoying is traceable to your knowledge.
The word knowledge is the word ‘Epignosis’ in the Greek. This is knowledge with recognition. Its knowledge that gives you an awareness of the reality of what you know. For instance there are people who don’t know why we do not fall over? It’s the law of gravity. Gravity attracts everything to the centre. As you grow, you get to learn about gravity in school and you get to know all the facts, this make you are aware of the reality of the force called gravity.
Now the little boy knows that he is not going to topple over even as he is walking, but he doesn’t know what gravity is; he doesn’t recognize gravity. But for you, you have the epignosis of gravity. You are not only aware of gravity you know how gravity works. That if I throw something up, it is going to come down. This is the kind of knowledge Paul the apostle was talking about in 2 Peter 1:2.
So in your life, the level of peace you enjoy in your heart and in your life is dependent on the level of knowledge of God’s word that you have. The level of favour you enjoy is also dependent on your level of knowledge of God’s word that you posses.
When Jesus was in the boat with His disciples and water began to come into the boat because of the storm that was against them, when they woke Him, Jesus asked them where is your faith? Why are you so fearful? So the issue of fear has nothing to do with prayer, it is knowledge. So grace and peace is multiplied through knowledge.
A gun was pointed at one of our brothers, and he told the guy who pointed the gun at him that; “you can’t shoot me”, he answered and said; “I will shoot you”, and he replied and said; “it won’t work”. The guy shot, and it didn’t work. Why? He knew. He had been taught the word of God. Some other Christian would have died that night.
Your deliverance in the day of trouble is what you know. The bible says in Psalm 91:4 that; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. So the ignorant man is not safe. You need to be aware of God’s commitment to protect you and to keep you safe. Get a hold of that word and let it sink into your spirit.
