Walk in Love 2

“Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.” 1 John 3:13(KJV).

From our opening scripture, the word of God is telling you today not to be surprised if the world hates you. The world hates you because they are in darkness. 1 John 3:14 says, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”

The reason why death has had dominion over a lot of persons is because of hatred and bitterness in their hearts. Living with hatred and bitterness in your heart will open you up to sickness and disease. And also, one of the reasons why sickness has lingered in the bodies of some persons is because of bitterness. If you will forgive today, you will experience genuine health.

1 John 3:15 says, “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” If you continue to walk in hatred, unforgiveness and anger, you will find out that the life of God in you will not dominate your body. So, I encourage you to forgive today.

A Jewish Rabbi told his people that if they can forgive twice that will be great, but Peter asked the Lord in Matthew 18:21, “… Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?” When Peter asked till seven times? Probably he expected commendation from Jesus, but Jesus said unto him in Matthew 18:22, “I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” In other words, you will have to keep on forgiving and forgiving.

If you will deal with unforgiveness and bitterness in your heart, you will not need long prayers and fasting to be free. Just  forgive all those people you are bitter against.

PRAYER
Today, I let go of every person who I have been bitter against in my heart. I choose to forgive them of every wrong which they have done to me. Dear Father, I thank you because your love fills my heart and you teach me how to walk with all men in love and wisdom. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Walk in love 1.

“He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”
1 John 2:10-11(KJV). 

From our opening scripture, we can see that if you as a born again child of God refuses to walk in love with your brother in Christ and you choose to live in unforgiveness and bitterness, you will abide in darkness. So, living in unforgiveness can keep you under the oppression of the devil.

Colossians 1:13 says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” From this scripture, we can see that as a child of God, you are not supposed to experience any oppression of the devil in your life, so why are you experiencing such oppression in your life? The Bible says in our opening scripture that it is because you hate your brother. Your brother in this context can be your neighbor, your boss, your friend, your wife, your husband, etc. So long as you have that hatred, the Bible says that you are in darkness until now.

1 John 2:10 says, “He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.”

From this we can see that if you are walking in love consistently with your brother, you abide, that is, remain in the light. Light is the symbol of God while darkness is the symbol of satan. Therefore, as you keep on walking in love with other people and forgiving them, you remain under the umbrella of God's light. And the bible tells us in John 1:5 that, “the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” In other words, darkness cannot overcome light.

So, if you want to keep on having victory to victory consistently, it is important that you learn to forgive and not hold anger, thereby practicing the Words of Jesus in Matthew 5:43-45.

CONFESSION
The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. I have the love of God increasing and abounding in my heart every day. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of love and of a sound mind. The love of God reigns and rules in my heart above every form of bitterness and ungodliness. Amen.

Guard your heart

 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: …”

The real warfare in spiritual warfare takes place in your mind. And if the devil is going to get access into your home or into your life, he will first of all get access into your mind.

Your mind is the doorway into your life. Your mind is the gatekeeper of your life. To guard your mind is to guard your life. If you are able to guard your mind from the lies and error of satan in our world today, you will reign and win in life.

This is why the accurate teaching of the Word of God is very important so that we can grow up spiritually and be fully perfected in Christ, so that we will “… be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive” (Ephesians 4:11-14).

This is important because if you are not under correct teaching, you are going to be exposed to demonic oppression because you have not been rightly taught to be able to know and accept who you are in Christ. And as long as you do not know who you are in Christ and your authority in Christ, you will continue to suffer the oppression you were suffering before you were saved. The enemy will try to sway you so that you will begin to doubt and question the reality of who you are in Christ and believe a lie, so that he can continue to oppress you. Don't accept his lies, but believe in who you are in Christ Jesus.    

CONFESSION
I am who God says I am. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away and all things are become new in my life. I belong to God, therefore I have overcome satan and all His cohorts because greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. I am strong, the Word of God abides in me and I have overcome the wicked one.

Know your enemy

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”    Ephesians 6:12(KJV)

One of the keys to victory in warfare is to know who your real enemy is. So from our opening scripture, we see that we do not wrestle with flesh and blood.

Most times when people carry out spiritual warfare, their target most of the time is human beings. But the truth is this; if you can fix the devil, you can fix the people who are being used by him against you.

It is important that you know that your real enemy in spiritual warfare is the devil. The human beings that are used by him are only under the influence of satan.

Ephesians 2:2 says, “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

Therefore, that unbelieving man or woman that seem to be working against you is under the influence of satan. So when you bind satan that is at work in these people, you will then be able to handle them because they are working under his influence.  

So when next someone declares himself to be your enemy, you don't need to start fighting and quarreling with the person. Just bind satan that is at work in that person and his influence over that persons life against you will cease.

Declaration
Dear Father according to your Word in Matthew 16:19, I bind satan and the works of every unclean spirit assigned against me in anyway or working through anyone around me, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And right now I speak a release in seven fold for all that satan has stolen away from me in Jesus Name.

Renew your Mind

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2(KJV)

Do you know that one of the most important times in a Church  service is the time when the Word of God is being ministered?

This is because the Word of God is what will transform your life because it will renew your thinking. And when you begin to think differently, you will then be able to relate with God rightly.

Prioritize the Word of God in your life and let your thinking be in line with the Word of God because satan will get advantage of you based on the way you think. So your thinking to a large extent will determine your victory.

Feed your mind with the Word of God because if you are ignorant and your mind is not renewed with the Word of God, you are in a dangerous place. Therefore, get word-based messages and books that will help you to renew your thinking so that your mind can be delivered from the operations of the devil.

The Bible says in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge …” So the reason why the enemy is able to cut God's people down is because of The lack of knowledge. The word destroy is also traceable to failure, therefore the reason why God's people fail is not because the witches are powerful. No, it is because they lack knowledge.

I want you to remember what the Bible says in Proverbs 11:9b, “… but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because as your child, I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and I have been translated into the kingdom of God's Dear Son. All devils are my subjects. I have been given power and authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Don't Practice error

“The reply of Jesus was, "You are in error, through ignorance of the Scriptures and of the power of God.” Matthew 22:29(WNT)

The first step toward error is stepping away from the Word of God.

It is important you know this because a lot of Christians are trying to carry out spiritual warfare by using physical weapons because they are ignorant of the Word of God.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”

The devil is a spiritual being, therefore we do not war with human weapons. For instance, you cannot cut the devil who is a spirit with a cutlass. The Bible lets us know in Ephesians 6:17 that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, not your cutlass, or your scissors.

When we try to carry out spiritual warfare with physical weapons, we are going against the Word of God. You cannot flog the devil with a cane, neither can you shoot him with a machine gun nor any other ammunition used in physical military combat.

It is important that as a child of God you ought to be a doer of the Word of God and not the opinions of men or the doctrines of devils. Therefore know that any practice or teaching that cannot be validated or found in the Bible is error. Don't practice it.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that I may walk worthy of you, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Don't give strife room in your heart

“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.”  
James 3:13-15(KJV)

When you have bitterness and envying in your heart, it will open your heart to the wrong kind of wisdom. There are three words used to describe the wrong kind of wisdom in our opening scripture. This wrong kind of wisdom is; earthly, sensual and devilish. So, when you have bitterness, envying and strife in your heart, demonic activity is released into your life.

Therefore, if you don't want to see demonic activity in your life, stay away from strife and do not give it any place in your heart. Strife is satan's bait to get you into bitterness and quarrels.

Don't listen to those voices that tell you to avenge yourself because of what someone has done to you. Wives don't listen to those voices that tell you not to cook for your husband because of something he said or did, and husbands don't listen to those voices that tell you not to give money to your wife so that she can suffer.

Don't do that because that is the bait of satan to bring bitterness and quarrels into your home.

James 3:16 says, “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”  Therefore, if you are having confusion, quarrels and commotion in your home, office, church, etc. It is because there is envying and strife among you, so, if you will deal with envy and strife all these confusions and quarreling will not be there.

Satan has access into any home where there is strife. Therefore, don't give place to strife in your heart because if you do, you are giving the devil access into your life.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray that you remove from my life every one that has been assigned by satan to stir up strife and bring confusion, quarrels and commotion in my home, office, church, and every area of my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

PUT AWAY ENVY AND STRIFE

“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” James 3:16(KJV)

From our opening scripture, the Word of God is letting us know some of the devices of the devil. And He says, “… where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” Therefore, you must get rid of all envy and strife from your life.

A lot of married couples do not know that when they quarrel with each other, that strife between them becomes an open door for satan to enter that home.  This is because, “… where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

The word confusion refers to commotion. When you are in strife as married couples or there is strife in a family, etc. it means that the devil can come in there and do anything. That strife is an open door to the enemy who will bring in commotion and every evil work. All kinds of demonic activities will begin to happen in that home because they are ignorant of the devils devices.

As a man you cannot be praying to make progress in your life and then be beating up your wife, and at the same time you are wondering why your prayer has not been answered. You are the one hindering your own prayers by allowing bitterness and strife into your home by not honoring your wife.

1 Peter 3:7(WNT) says, “Married men, in the same way, live with your wives with a clear recognition of the fact that they are weaker than you. Yet, since you are heirs with them of God's free gift of Life, treat them with honour; so that your prayers may not be hindered.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I choose to accept your Word as final authority in my life. Therefore as I begin to make the necessary adjustment and banish all envy and strife from my life, may I begin to experience victory and the liberty of your Spirit in every area of my life and in my home in Jesus Name. Amen.

Abide in the Truth

“Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the LORD God had made… The snake replied, "That's not true; you will not die. God said that because he knows that when you eat it, you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad." 
Genesis 3:1, 4-5(GNB)

I want you to know that it was satan who spoke through the snake to the woman in our opening scripture. We know this because satan is always rebellious against the word of God. He loves to question the integrity of the word of God, and by so doing, corrupt the heart of his prey with doubt and then lure them with His deceitfulness and their lust.

Satan's primary aim is to see to it that you doubt the Word of God. This is because he knows that when you start doubting the Word of God, you are vulnerable to deception.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12(GW), the Bible says, “He will use everything that God disapproves of to deceive those who are dying, those who refused to love the truth that would save them. That's why God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie. Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned.”

It is important that you know that every step away from the word of God, is a step into deception. So, do not doubt the word of God that you have heard, read and received into your heart.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray that You will cause me to stand firm and hold on to these truths which I am been taught in this devotional. I ask that you strengthen me with Your grace and give me unfailing courage and a firm hope to always abide in the truth, in my thoughts, words and action. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Don't be ignorant

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

The strength of the oppressor is the ignorance of the oppressed. Therefore, since we are not ignorant of satan's devices, he cannot take advantage of us.

So to be ignorant is to be vulnerable. Therefore, you are going to be vulnerable to satan in the area of your life where you are ignorant of the Word of God.

Being vulnerable to satan means that you are without adequate protection to quench all the fiery darts of satan against you because you are ignorant of the Word of God which would have given you faith to quench those fiery darts.

Another reason why you should not be vulnerable is because when you are vulnerable you would easily give in to temptation and be exposed to attack from the enemy. Therefore being ignorant of the Word of God would cost you everything and keep you under the oppression of satan.

Therefore for every area of your life where you notice that you are vulnerable to satan, it means you are ignorant in that area. So come out of such Vulnerability by feeding on the Word of God that will equip and strengthen you in that area of your life.

PRAYER
Dear Father, today I renew my commitment to build my life on the Word of God. I ask that you grant onto me a fresh hunger for your Word. Thank you Father for as I hear your Word, my faith is built up and your grace is released toward me to do the Word in Jesus Name. Amen.

How to war a good warfare

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” 1 Timothy 1:18(KJV)

When we are warring a good warfare, it means that we are able to war effectively and be able to get the victory in our battles. This is important because it is not everyone that is getting victory in their lives, so they need to know how to war a good war.

Therefore, we see Paul instructing Timothy his son in the faith in our opening scripture on how to war a good warfare with the prophecies that have gone ahead of him. In other words, the words and the prophecies that have been spoken concerning your future can be used by you to war a good warfare.

Secondly, he says in 1 Timothy 1:19, “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck” This means that our faith and having a good conscience has a place in spiritual warfare.

If you call yourself a prayer warrior and you are living in sin, you will make shipwreck of your faith and you will be ineffective. Don't put away your good conscience as a Christian, because it will hinder your effectiveness in  spiritual warfare. So if you need to get right with God in any area of your life where you have erred from the faith and a good conscience, be quick to repent today.

Afterwards, revisit the prophecies that God has spoken concerning you and let them stir up faith in your heart, and by them you can war a good warfare.


PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for the glorious things that has been spoken concerning me in your Word and in prophecies, today as I align myself with them and begin to declare them, may they produce a force field around me that will repel every attack of the enemy and stir up and attract all grace and the favors for their fulfilment in my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

Receive Salvation

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:9-10(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us how to get saved. To become born again, you must confess with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, when you do, you shall be saved.

Someone may read this and say, “Is that all I need to do to be saved? No, it is too simple.” But that is a lie of the devil that has been sown into that person's heart. The devil is trying to deceive you by corrupting your mind because of the simplicity that is in Christ.

A lot of people expect to work so hard before they are saved. Some others expect to fast ten days before they are saved. No. All that is not required to receive the gift of salvation. It is a gift that is been made available to you through your faith in Jesus.

Jesus Christ has already done all the work required for your salvation. All you need to do right now is to reach  out to Him with your faith by believing with all your heart that He already paid for all your sins in His death, and that He rose again on the third day for your justification (so that you can be made righteous, just as if you never sinned). And then if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of your life, you shall be saved.So, if you take the word of God as your final authority, and start living in line with the word of God, you have reduced your spiritual warfare by 99.9%. Welcome into the liberty we have in Christ. God bless you.

PRAYER OF SALVATION
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. Amen.”

Get right with God.

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” 
Ephesians 6:11(KJV)

As a child of God, you must not continue to participate in the unfruitful works of darkness because every time you step away from the truth of God's word, you enter into satan's realm. So if the concept you are holding about life is not consistent with the Word of God, you are actually dealing with the concept of satan.

For instance, a Christian may be praying for success or breakthrough, but yet his lifestyle or character contradicts the Word of God. You cannot mix the two together. It will not work that way. Another Christian may be praying to have a great marriage but he is living in sin. He has already aligned himself with satan. At that point, because he is not abiding in the truth, he is exposed to demonic influence by refusing to comply with God's Word.

This explains why a lot of Christians are oppressed in their lives because they have yanked off the influence of God's Word. They may be praying and fasting, but as long as they are in disobedience, they will remain under satan's influence.

Every thought, idea and concept inconsistent with the Word of God is from satan. So a lot of Christians are already under the influence of satan without knowing. You will actually be opposing yourself and your own progress if you continue living your life based on any thought inconsistent with the Word of God.

2 Timothy 2:25-26 says, “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

PRAYER
Heavenly Father I repent from any way in which I have been going my own way that is inconsistent with your Word. I ask that by your Spirit and your Word, expose every seed of falsehood that has entered into my belief system in Jesus Name. Amen.

Resist satan's wiles.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that the armour that we are to put on when engaging in spiritual warfare is God's armour. The word 'wiles' is from the Greek word 'methodeia.' This means travesty or trickery.

The Bible also lets us know that when we put on God's armour, then we will be able to stand against all the wiles(methods, trickery, strategies, lies, deceit) of the devil.

This shows you that satan's weapon is deceit. 2 Corinthians 11:3(ALT) says, “But I am afraid, lest perhaps, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your* minds shall be corrupted from the sincerity [or, single-hearted devotion], the [one] in [or, to] Christ.”

Satan deceives through his craftiness. Understand that satan has no power over you as a child of God, he has been defeated and rendered powerless according to the Bible in Hebrews 2:14-15(ALT), which says; “Therefore, since the young children have shared of flesh and blood, He Himself also likewise shared in the same, so that through death He should destroy [or, render powerless] the one having the power of death, that is, the Devil, and release those, as many as [due to] a fear of death, throughout all their life, were subjects of slavery.”

Therefore since you know that satan is powerless over you, give no place in your heart to his deceits and lies and he will not be able to lure you away from the truth by his tricks.

CONFESSION
Jesus has completely delivered me from the power and influence of satan over my life. I declare that I died with Christ. Therefore as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, I also walk in the newness of life. I have been released into a life of victory where I am victorious above all the methods, trickery, strategies, lies, deceit of the devil. In Jesus Name.

God cares for you 2

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:6-7(KJV)

A lot of people are not humble because they do not believe that God cares about them. Some of them believe that God takes time, so they manipulate their own way in other for them to get where they want to get to or whatever they want quicker.

I want you to know today that you don't have to compromise your faith in your heavenly Father's love and commitment to you. Know that when you are going through challenges satan will come to you and tell you that God doesn't care about you because of the challenges that you are going through. Or he may ask you, “If God cares about you then why are you going through this?” When you believe that lie, you will stay longer in that difficult place.

1 Peter 5:9 says, “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” You must believe in the love of God if you are going to make progress, because the Bible says that faith worketh by love (Galatians 5:6). Therefore, when you know that God loves you inspite of what you may be going through,your faith becomes spontaneous.

In 1 Peter 5:10, the Bible says, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” I want you to know that no matter what you are going through, you must be confident of one thing in your heart, that God is perfecting, establishing, strengthening, and will surely settle you. CONFESSION
I declare that all things are working together for my good. Because I love God and I am the called according to His purpose. I am a victor and not a victim. I refuse to consider the negative things that I see. But, I look at the things which are revealed to me in the word of God. For the negative things which I see are changing to correspond to the things which are revealed to me in the word of God in Jesus Name.

God cares about you 1.

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
2 Corinthians 11:3(KJV)

It is clear to us from our opening scripture that those who are being deceived by satan have their minds corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

So, when you are ignorant of satan's devices according to the word of God, you become susceptible to your mind being corrupted by the craftiness of satan from the simplicity that is in Christ.  

The word simplicity from our opening scripture means generosity and liberality. In other words, the word of God is letting you know that when satan comes to deceive you in his craftiness, he always wants to make you feel that God is not as generous and liberal as you think. He wants you to believe that God is not really concerned about you. And when you begin to believe that God is not really concerned about you, you come under pressure to perform.

This is why some begin to compromise their faith and may even begin to steal, and do all kinds of wrong things because they have become desperate and their trust is not in God. Please don't lose faith but rather do what the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”  Therefore, don't buy into the lies and deceit of the enemy against your life, but instead cast all your cares on the Lord because He cares about you affectionately.

In Romans 5:8, the Bible says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Therefore, let your mind and your heart be confident in the truth that God loves you unconditionally. He is concerned about all your needs, concerns, problems, challenges and even about your sins, and He wants to help you live right.

PRAYER
I believe and I confess that God has loved me with an everlasting love. He has drawn me to Himself with His loving kindness towards me. I am the apple of His eyes. He cares about me and He has freely given me all things to enjoy. He will never leave me, nor forsake me. So that I may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Empowered for all things

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13(KJV) 

From our opening scripture, the Bible is telling us that we can do all things through Christ which empowers us. This means you should live your life every day conscious of the reality that you have been empowered by Christ for all things.

Philippians 4:13 in the Amplified translation reads thus, “I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me [I am ready for anything, and equal to anything, through Him who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ sufficiency.]” In other words, there is nothing you cannot handle.

I want you to make this confession, say: “I am self sufficient in Christ sufficiency.” So no matter what you are faced with, I want you to know that you can handle it by the sufficiency of Christ in you.

Philippians 4:13 in the Message translation reads thus; “Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.” I want you to know that no matter what comes against you, you can make it through Christ who makes you who you are.

2 Corinthians 3:5 says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” Praise God.

CONFESSION

Give no place to the devil.

“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.”
Ephesians 4:26-27(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we can see that through anger, the devil can gain influence over the life of a Christian because anger can give place to the devil in our lives. The word place in this verse is from the Greek word 'topos' meaning, 'license' or 'opportunity'. So, don't give the enemy license into your life by keeping anger.

If you are angry with others and you remain angry for months, that anger will develop into bitterness which will give satan an opportunity into your life. Satan will use that as a bait to ruin your life.

In Hebrews 12:15 the Bible shows us the consequences of bitterness in a man's life. He says, “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;” 'Grace' in this verse we just read is from the Greek word 'charis' meaning favour. This means that when you are angry with someone who did something against you and you keep on holding that offence in your heart, the bible says it will trouble you and you will fall from favour with God.

In Matthew 18:23-35 where the Bible talks about forgiveness, one servant refused to forgive the other, and as a result of his unforgiveness, his lord cast him to the tormentors.  If you are reading this devotional today and you are experiencing a lot of hardship, and difficulty, and it is as though you are cursed. I want you to get right with God and forgive the people who have wronged you, I assure you that you will begin to see changes and experience the liberty of the Spirit of God in your life.

PRAYER
Dear Father, today in obedience to your word to me, I lay aside my own ways and I cast all my cares and burdens on you because I know that you care for me. I let go of all bitterness and anger that I have held against all those who have wronged me. I choose to bless and not curse in Jesus Name. Amen.

Be strong in the Lord

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Ephesians 6:10(KJV)  

The word 'strong' in our opening scripture is from the Greek word, 'endunamoo;' it means to be empowered, to be enabled or to be strengthened. In other words, the Bible is saying to us, be empowered, enabled and strengthened in the Lord.

The Word 'power' in our opening scripture is from the Greek word 'kratos' which means,  vigor, dominion and force of His might.

I want you to know that the strength that gives us victory in spiritual warfare does not come from you. You have to be empowered in the Lord and in the dominion of His might. This means that we receive our ability from Christ.

When most Christians want to engage in spiritual warfare, they look at how strong they are in themselves. Not so, the Bible instructs you to be strong in the Lord.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Bible says, “… My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…” The word 'sufficient' in the verse we just read suggests the idea of 'raising a barrier'. In other words, God's grace 'wards off' for you. That means that God's grace is a defense for you. Therefore I want you to know today that God's grace would raise a barrier against every messenger of satan that comes against you in Jesus Name.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because your grace is sufficient for me and your strength is made perfect in me over every weakness. I thank you because I am empowered and strengthened with all might according to the riches of your glory by your Spirit in my inward man in Jesus Name. Amen.

Give no place to deception.

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”
 James 1:14(KJV)

Satan's strength is in deception. When satan came to Eve in the garden of Eden, he did not force her to eat the fruit which God forbade them to eat. He deceived her by seducing her and luring her to eat the fruit.

Eve fell to satan's deception because, the deception sown into her heart made her doubt the sincerity of God's Word. And whenever you doubt the sincerity of the Word of God, you become vulnerable to temptation.      

For instance, satan can sow thoughts of deceit into your heart and make you reason that you need more than just believing in the blood of Jesus and making  Him the Lord of your life for your sins to be forgiven. Anyone who falls for such deception, will continue to live in condemnation and guilt and remain in bondage to satan because his mind has been corrupted.

Don't yield your mind to the error of satan. The Bible says in Hebrews 8:12, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” The Bible says that God will not remember your sins and iniquity any more after you are born again. Praise God.

So, don't try to reason in your mind or question the possibility of God forgiving all your sins because of how bad you've been before you were saved. Rather you must learn to do as the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

PRAYER
Thank you Dear Father for sending Jesus to die for me. I believe and I accept that His death paid for all my sins. I receive forgiveness and remission of sins in the blood of Jesus that cleanses me and makes me as white as snow. Therefore, I live free from all guilt and condemnation in Jesus Name. Amen.

Are you saved

 “For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 5:5-6(KJV)

If you are not born again and you are reading this devotional right now, you need to receive Christ today, because you are not fully protected if you are not in Christ. You are open to satan, and satan can ruin your life and diminish you.

It has been said that, “If you are not saved, you are not safe.” Until you receive Jesus Christ, you are not safe. This is because the word 'safe' is from the Greek word 'sozo,' which means to be rescued; it means to be brought to safety. It also means to be delivered, protected, healed, preserved, to do well and to make whole.

So, the man that is not born again has not been brought to safety. If you really want to experience genuine spiritual freedom, the first thing is to be born again, which is to receive Jesus Christ into your life.

So, if you are not born again, please pray this prayer right now, Say out loud: “O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that.  He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal Savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

You need to know that now that you are born again, satan has no claim over your life. You are no longer under the oppression and control of satan. The Bible says in Colossians 1:13-14, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

You are immune from evil

“Blessed art thou in thy coming in, and blessed art thou in thy going out.” Deuteronomy 28:6(YLT)

From our opening scripture, it is clear to us that every child of God has been immune from evil. No evil is supposed to happen to you, be it in your coming in or when you are going out. You have been totally excluded from all evil.

Therefore, make up your mind that your path is free from all accidents. If you've had accidents in the past, make up your mind that it will not happen anymore. That will no more be your experience because the Bible says, “Blessed art thou in thy coming in, and blessed art thou in thy going out.”

One day the Lord asked me, “Have you ever had an accident?” And I answered, no. Then He asked again, “When my disciples were faced with the storm, did they come out alive?” I answered, “yes.” Then He said to me, “Don't ever think of having an accident.”

You may want to argue and say that the disciples of Jesus were spared from the storm in their own time because Jesus was there with them.

But Jesus said to you in Matthew 28:20, “… and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

This means that Jesus is also with you always. Therefore, do not ever expect to have an accident. Use this consciousness to cast down every error in your thinking that has made you a victim of negative circumstances which could have been avoided if only you have girded your mind with the truth of the gospel.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because your Word is my light and my shield against all the wiles of the enemy. I declare that I am the blessed of the Lord both when I am going out and when I am coming in. I am completely immune from all evil in Jesus Name. Amen.

DONT BELIEVE A LIE

“Destruction has overtaken my people because they have no knowledge …” Hosea 4:6(BBE)

Demonic oppression begins with error in reasoning. Before an individual is oppressed by demons, he or she must have believed the wrong doctrine.

For instance, I want you to think back, when you were a little child, when you were told frightening stories, you began to have fears in that area because you believed the stories that you were told. So when you went to sleep, you began to have nightmares because of the horrible stories that have been sown into your heart.

For example, a little child born in Europe that does not know what is called juju, and has no idea about it. If you go to him and try to frighten him by telling him, “juju will catch you.” Instead of responding with fear and dread, the little child will laugh and play with it. But you will certainly not get the same response from a local boy from a traditional village in Africa whose reasoning has been corrupted with erroneous teachings about such things.

So do not allow satan to corrupt your mind and make you believe a lie concerning who you are in Christ.

For instance, the Bible says in Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”          

Every Christian can cast out devils in the Name of Jesus. Every Christian can speak with new tongues. As a Christian if it ever happened that you drank any deadly thing, it should not hurt you. Every Christian can lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

Let this be your reality because it is your heritage in Christ.

 Dear Father, I choose to pattern my life according to the truth of your Word revealed to me today. I declare that I am who God says I am, I can do what He says I can do and I have what He says I have. Amen.

YOU HAVE BEEN DELIVERED

“And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”
Hebrews 2:15(KJV). 

From our opening scripture, we understand that when Jesus Christ died on the cross, He broke the power of satan over your life and delivered you from the fear of death and bondage. Therefore, you need to become aware of your deliverance, and know that satan has no claim over your soul because the blood of Jesus has been shed.

You need to understand that the blood of Jesus has claimed your soul from satan. That is why the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price …” If you have been bought with a price, it means that you are not your own but God's. So, you belong to God right now and satan has no legal claims on your life.

In Colossians 1:12-13 the Bible says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”

This means that the day you got born again, you were removed from the power of darkness. The word 'power' in this context means authority and control. This means that satan has no right to control your life as a child of God because you have been removed from his authority and control from the day you got born again.

Everyone that is not born again is in the kingdom of darkness, whether they like it or not, they are under the power of satan. This is according to Ephesians 2:2 which says, “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” This clearly shows us that the unbeliever is under the influence of an evil spirit, but the man in Christ has been totally delivered from the power and control of darkness.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for you have qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. I have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's Dear Son. Amen.

GET THE WORD

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.” Acts 19:20(KJV)

Do you know that now in America, it has been said that there is an increase in violence among the youths because of the violence in the music and the movies that they listen to and watch.

 This is why we need to take over the air waves and get the message of the gospel on radio, on television, on the internet, and the print media so that we can influence the minds of people with the gospel. By so doing we will be able to change our world by changing how they think.

Do you know that as we get the Word out in this way, we are engaging in spiritual warfare? But when most people think about spiritual warfare, all they think about is binding the devil. No, there is more to spiritual warfare than that.

When the Colorado shooting took place in America, one of the Ministers of the gospel who lived in that city said that when the case was investigated, and they went to the young man's house, they found out that what he had been watching was violent video games. That was all he was watching and he turned out to become violent to the extent of committing such a violent crime.

This is why it is important we dominate the air waves with the gospel, because people will do what they see, they will also desire and emulate what they see or what they hear.

So now you know that getting on radio and television with the message of the gospel is part of spiritual warfare. It is not a popularity issue, it is focused on bringing truth to the Body of Christ and the world at large because we are battling for the hearts and minds of men.  

PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray that the Word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified wherever, and by every available means by which it is preached today. May the truth of the Word dominate the hearts of all those that will come in contact with the gospel leading to the salvation of their souls in Jesus Name. Amen.

Go for knowledge.

“Now concerning spiritual things, my brethren, I would not have you ignorant.” 
I Corinthians 12:1(DRB)

Ignorance is terrible. This is why Paul says in our opening scripture, that he does not want us to be ignorant concerning spiritual things. In other words, he wants us to become aware of the realm of the spirit.

It is important for you to know that the realm of the spirit is real. God is a Spirit, and He created physical things. So it becomes evident that if God who is a Spirit created physical things, it means that the realm of the spirit is superior to the natural realm.

Therefore, having an understanding of these things and the knowledge of how to function in the realm of the spirit will cause you to be effective in life. It is also important for you to guard your heart against all deception because that is one of satan's weapons against you because there is a warfare going on for the minds of men.
In 2 Corinthians 11:3 the Bible says, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

This means that satan can corrupt your mind through deception. Therefore, it is important that you guard your heart today from all forms of deceits and seductions from the mass media, the internet and publications that presents information, ideas and concepts that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ Jesus.

Dear Father I ask that you expose by your truth every seed of falsehood that have entered into my belief system in Jesus Name, Amen.

A very present help in trouble.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1(KJV).

Our opening scripture lets us know that there is a day of trouble, and it comes to everybody. It comes to the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak, the educated and the illiterate. So it is important for you to know what to do in the evil day.

You may be going through an evil day right now, not knowing what you are supposed to do. But 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” So, if that evil comes to you in form of a temptation, challenge or a problem, know that it is not peculiar to you, it is common to man. It comes to everybody.

Psalm 91:15 says, “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” Now the Bible tells you to call on the Lord and He will answer. He is right there with you and He will deliver you and honour you in Jesus Name. Amen.

Isaiah 43:1 says, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Notice from the above scripture that the bible repeatedly says, “when thou passest through”. He used the word 'when', He did not use the word 'if' which is conditional. So, there is a day that trouble is going to come, but God is saying, He will be with you to deliver you, for He is a very present help in trouble. So, be rest assured knowing that whatever comes against you cannot destroy you because God is with you.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you because I cannot be defeated because greater is He that is in  me than He that is in the world. Father I thank you because I know that your presence with me has made me indestructible no matter what comes against me. In Jesus Name.

Choose to forgive

“So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.” Matthew 18:35(KJV) 

In Matthew 18 from verse 23-35, Jesus spoke about a certain King who forgave the debt of his servant who owed him ten thousand talents. That same servant who was forgiven went out from before the King and found his fellow servant who owed him a hundred pence and refused to forgive him his debt. Inspite of how he was begged by this servant, and considering how the King also forgave him he chose not to forgive.

But instead this servant threw the servant who owed him into prison till he paid up the debt. When their Lord the King discovered how this servant who he just forgave treated his fellow servant, he became angry with him, and he delivered him to the tormentors till he should pay all that he owed the King.

So what does that teach you? This teaches you that bitterness would open you up to demonic oppression.

This lets you see that spiritual warfare goes beyond just binding and casting. You may be binding, but you will remain ineffective if you have bitterness in your heart. So, before you start binding, get rid of every form of bitterness from your heart.

2 Corinthians 10:6 says, “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”  

INSTRUCTION
Go and physically reconcile with those who you are holding offence against, if they are far away look for a way to get in contact with them like calling them. Please ensure that you pursue peace with all men(especially those who are believers in Christ).

Build your life by truth

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”                                                                                           Ephesians 4:14-15(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that if you want to grow in Christ and be fully mature in Him, you must build your life on the truth of the Word of God.

This is important because dealing with spiritual warfare and standing in your victory in Christ goes beyond fighting devils. You must grow in the truth in Christ so that you will not be tossed to and fro by workings of those who teach false doctrine.

So teaching the truth of the Word of God is also a part of spiritual warfare. This is why the Bible speaks about  your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace in Ephesians 6:15 when talking about putting on the whole amour of God.

In 2 Corinthians 2:11, the Bible says, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” So the first thing we notice from this verse in learning about spiritual warfare is that, 'satan takes advantage of the ignorant'.

When you read 2 Corinthians 2:5-11 from your Bible, you will discover that the temptation to retain offence in your heart is a trap of the enemy that can be used against you in spiritual warfare.

Therefore, do not be like those who love to hold offence against others in their heart. If you live your life that way, the Bible says that satan will gain advantage of you. This is why a lot of Christians have become ineffective because of holding unforgiveness in their hearts.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you beause the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I forgive willingly from my heart everyone who has wronged me and I let go of the offence and chose not to hold it against them in any way in Jesus Name. Amen.

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:” Galatians 1:3-4(KJV).  

Notice from our opening scripture, that Jesus gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world. So, this lets us know that this present world is evil, but the truth is that Jesus Christ has died on the cross to deliver us from this present evil world. That means that the death of Jesus Christ broke the power of satan over your life.

Right now, on account of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross for you, satan has no legal right over your life. A lot of Christians are not aware of this, so they are still  oppressed and tormented by satan because they do not know the truth.

The Bible tells you here from our opening scripture that the Lord Jesus, “… gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:” Hebrews 2:14 says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”

Notice that the scripture says that through death, He might destroy him that has the power of death, that is, the devil. That means when Jesus Christ died on the cross, He broke the power of satan over your life.

Therefore live your life with the understanding of this truth, that through the death of Jesus on the cross, He destroyed him that has the power of death, that is the devil. The word destroy here is from the Greek word 'katargeo' it means to paralyze, to make of none effect, to bring to nothing or to reduce to zero. This means that the death of Christ has diminished the power of satan over your life. Now, satan has no power over your life.

CONFESSION
I believe and therefore have I spoken: satan has no power over me because the death of Jesus has diminished satan's power. I have victory over satan, sickness, weakness, disease, fear, death and hell. I am a joint heir with Jesus seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Praise God.
