Power in the Word

“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Matthew 8:8(KJV)

In our opening scripture, we see the Roman centurion telling Jesus to speak the word only, and his servant shall be healed. In other words, he was telling Jesus that he believes that His Words will accomplish the same thing His presence will accomplish. That means that, God's Word carries the same power as when He is present because God and His Word are one.

In John 1:1 the Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This means whatever God can do, His word can do. When the Word of God is spoken, it carries the same power that God has.

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke said, God said to him, “My Words are as powerful in your mouth as though I am the one saying it, so whenever you speak my Word it is as powerful as though I said it myself.” This is because God and His Word are one and the same.

When Jesus saw the faith of the centurion, He said to Him in Matthew 8:13, “Go thy way; and as thou hast Believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.”

So, if you start believing the Word of God, it will start manifesting in your life. In Romans 1:16 the Bible says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” The word 'power' in the verse we just read means 'dunamis.' Dunamis means, the dynamic ability to cause changes.

Therefore, when you believe the Word of God, the power in the Word is released to produce whatever change you desire. Faith in the Word of God releases the power in it. In other words, faith is the key to activating the power in the Word of God.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for your Word is alive and active and it will not return to you void but it will prosper in whatever it has been sent to do. The power in your Word is producing the desired change in every situation I direct it to today in Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Address your challenges with the Word of God and then go to rest knowing that it shall be just as you have spoken.

Word Based Confidence

“Now faith is [the] assurance [or, substance] of [things] being hoped for [or, being confidently expected], [the] confident assurance [or, proof] of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1(ALT)

In your life of faith, your confidence should always come from the word of God. Be confident knowing that, whatever God has said is certain to come to pass in your life.

Why do we expect the sick to get well when we pray for them? The Bible says in Mark 16:16-17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Therefore, because of your faith in that word, you are confident when you pray for the sick knowing that they are going to get well.

So, your faith is an offspring of the word of God. In other words, no word, no faith, because faith originates from the word of God.

Therefore, if you are truly standing in faith concerning any area of your life, you must have a scripture in the word of God that you are exercising your faith on. For instance, if someone says, “I have faith I will be healed.” If asked why he so believes he will be healed, and he has no scripture backing his expectation, that is not faith, that is hope.

This is why some people still die even when they kept on saying they believe God can heal them. Why? They were only expressing their hope not faith.

If it is faith, then it must be based on the word of God. In other words, there must be a scripture you are holding on to in the word of God.

For it to be faith, you must be operating from the word of God.

PRAYER
Dear Father your word says in 1 Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” On account of that word, I declare that I am the healed of Christ and I declare wholeness in every part of my being in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Psalm 147:3, Isaiah 53:4-6, Matthew 8:17.

DOING THE WORD
Declare your wholeness in your spirit, soul and body.

Pray in line with the word of God

“Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.” Hosea 14:2(KJV)

Our opening scripture is showing you how to pray effectively. It lets you know that when you pray to the Father, you ought to take with you words. In other words, when you approach the Father in prayer, you approach Him based on His Word.

This means that before you pray about any issue, make sure you get scriptures concerning that particular situation, if you want to get results.

Isaiah 41:21 says, “Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.” This shows you that when you pray, you've got to have strong reasons. These reasons that you bring are His Words from the Bible. You bring those Words that He has already spoken concerning that situation for which you are praying about, back to Him.

Isaiah 43:26 says, “Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.” The Lord is telling you here that when you pray, you have to use His Words to put Him in remembrance.

Remind Him of what He has said in His Word. Declare that Word back to Him in prayer. That is the way to get results when you pray.

You can be healed, you can get the money that you expect, only stand on the revealed word of God in the scriptures when you pray and you will see the manifestation in your life.

CONFESSION
The Word of God says in 1 Peter 3:9 that I have been called to inherit a blessing. Therefore, I declare that I am blessed in my body, I am blessed in my mind, every member of my family is blessed, I am blessed in my job and all that concerns me is blessed according to the Word of God. Amen.

For further study read
Psalm 33:9, Psalm 107:20, Mark 1:25-27, Luke 7:7.

DOING THE WORD
Read and declare the blessings in Deuteronomy 28:1-13 over your life.

Wednesday 27 November 2013

Don't oppose yourself.

“A fool hath no delight in understanding, …” Proverbs 18:2(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that a fool is anyone who rejects knowledge. In other words, a fool is not necessarily someone who is mad, but it refers to someone who has consciously, or unconsciously rejected the knowledge of God's Word.

Friends, it is not necessarily how hard you work that determines success. But it is hard work with the right knowledge that produces the success you desire in every area of your life. (See Ecclesiastes 10:15)

Know that you will continue to oppose your own progress no matter how much you pray, as long as you continue to do things that are against the principles of God's Word.
I knew a lady who was trying to have a breakthrough, she was a member of a particular church where they have been praying for her to have her breakthrough. When I met her, I asked her a simple question, “Are you born again?” And she said, “no.”

Then I went on to let her know that unless she is born
again, she remains the property of satan. No matter how such an individual prays, they will only continue to oppose themselves if their lives is not in line with the Word of God. What such an individual needs to do is to get saved, because when you are saved, the Bible says you are delivered from the power, control and the Lordship of darkness and you are translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son.(Colossians 1:13)

Therefore, the first way out of any problem you have found yourself today is for you to be saved. So, if you are not born again, I will like you to pray the prayer of salvation below:

PRAYER OF SALVATION
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. I am free from the law of sin and death and every sickness and disease. In Jesus Name. Amen.”

For further study read:
2 Corinthians 5:17, 1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:4-5.

DOING THE WORD
Get right with God. Don't oppose yourself.

Hold on to your faith

“The lame will leap and dance, and those who cannot speak will shout for joy. Streams of water will flow through the desert;” Isaiah 35:6(KJV)

I heard the story of a boy who had no hip joint, which means that he is supposed to be paralyzed forever. His mother brought him to a Man of God for Him to pray, so that he will be healed.

When the Man of God saw the boy, and he was told the condition the boy was brought, he said, he couldn't believe for the boy to be healed, and so he hesitated from praying for the boy. But the mother of the boy said to him, “you pray, and I will do the believing.”

After the Man of God prayed over the boy, they carried the boy with his flabby legs away. By the next day, that same boy was completely healed and he was running on the stage to the glory of God.

I want you to notice that, even though the Man of God did not believe the boy could be healed, his mother's faith put a demand on God's ability.

Therefore, I want you to recognize today that every sickness can be healed, and that problem can be solved. That hopeless situation that you may have found yourself is subject to change. Be confident in God knowing that things will surely get better for you inspite of what you see today.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Therefore, refuse to give up because of the challenges surrounding you, know that according to the Word of God, they are temporal (in other words, they are subject to change), but instead, set your focus on the eternal Word of God because it is able to produce in you what it talks about.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I believe in the power and efficiency of your Word to produce in my life what it talks about in Jesus Name.

For further study read:
Psalm 12:6, Psalm 18:30, 1 Peter 1:7, Romans 10:11.

DOING THE WORD
Don't give up on the Word of God.

Monday 25 November 2013

All things are possible.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23(KJV)

This is the same Word that Jesus is saying to you today, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

You must believe that Jesus is able to heal you. Don't make statements like, “I wish God can just heal me.” No, don't wish. Know that He can heal you, and He wants to heal you. You have to recognize that He has the power to heal you. This is important because, for the power to work, you have to believe in God's ability to heal you.

You must have faith in God's ability to do what He says. It does not matter the area of your life where you want to see a change, you must have faith in what God has said in His Word for you to see the results in your life.

In Genesis 18:14 the Bible says, “Is any thing too hard for the LORD? …” Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:”

Again in Jeremiah 32:27, the Bible says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” You have to be fully convinced about this child of God. Nothing is too hard for the Lord to do for you.

Remember that He is the One that raises the dead. He is the One that causes light to shine out of darkness. He is the light that shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend Him. That is our God. The Bible says in Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” And then when you believe in Him with all your heart, the Bible says, “… and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Praise God.

INSTRUCTION
On account of the Word of God you have received today, put your faith to work and lay hold of that which you have believed for.

Mark 11:23-24, Matthew 21:22, John 4:48-50.

Faith to be healed

“And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.” Acts 14:8-10(KJV)

Reading from our opening scripture, you will notice that there is a need for faith for people to receive their healing. In Mark 5:25, the Bible tells us about the woman with the issue of blood who had suffered many things from many physicians, but rather grew worse. The Bible says in Mark 5:27 that when she heard about Jesus, she came and touched His garment, and was healed. She acted on her faith and she received her healing.

The Bible tells us how faith comes in Romans 10:17, the Bible says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” The woman with the issue of blood heard about Jesus and faith came to her. In the same way, whenever you hear the Word of God, faith comes to you.

When faith comes to you, go ahead and exercise your faith just like the woman with the issue of blood. She first expressed her faith by her declaration. The Bible says in Mark 5:28, “For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” What are you confessing with your mouth? Your confession matters, because your confession is a reflection of your faith.

Therefore, you must begin to use your mouth to declare the Word of God concerning your health everyday. Please declare out loud the confession below.

CONFESSION
“I am strong, the Word of God abides in me, and I have overcome the wicked one.” “By the stripes of Jesus I have been healed.” “My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.” “The Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwells in me and vitalizes my body.”

For further study read:
Matthew 9:28-29, Matthew 13:58, Mark 10:46-52,
Mark 9:23.

DOING THE WORD
Go ahead and exercise your faith and declare what you want to see manifested concerning your health and total well being as a child of God.

God is Compassionate

“And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.” Mark 1:40-41(KJV)

Our opening scripture lets us know that when the leper came to Jesus begging and kneeling down asking to be healed, the Bible says that Jesus was moved with compassion and touched him, and healed him by His Word.

I want you to notice that Jesus was moved with compassion. That means that, Jesus is passionate about healing you, and He desires to heal you.(See Matthew 14:14)

It is important you understand that, God heals because He loves. (See 1John 4:8)God doesn't heal because men are good. No, he heals because He is love. There was a time Jesus healed a man in John 5:8-9, knowing that this man has been in that condition for 38 long years, He had compassion on him and said, “…Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: …” Finding that same man later in the temple in John 5:14, Jesus said to him, “… Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”

This meant that the man's sickness was caused by sin, yet Jesus had compassion on him, and was willing to heal him. Therefore, we see that the motivation of Jesus to heal this man was love.

That same love is what He expresses to you today, His motivation for wanting to heal you is His love, it is not because you qualified for it in yourself, it is because He loves you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for loving me and for always been compassionate towards me. Your love has given me confidence in your presence. May your love always constrain my heart to always do your will in Jesus Name. Amen.

Mark 9:21-27, Hebrews 4:14-16.

DOING THE WORD
Think about God's love and let His love fill your heart and influence your decisions and confidence before God.

Receive your soundness

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. I want to remind you of what you learnt yesterday, that the word salvation means soundness. This means that we can say that the gospel is the power of God unto soundness to every one that believes.

Therefore, if you are born again, you ought to experience this soundness in your spirit, soul and body. This salvation(soundness) manifested in your body is what brings about healing. In other words, healing is salvation for your body.

If you read through the Bible, you will discover that most times when people are healed, Jesus always said “…thy faith hath made thee whole; …” (Mark 5:34). The word 'whole' there is from the Greek word 'sozo' which means 'save, deliver, heal, preserve, etc'. In other words, Jesus was saying to them, your faith has saved your body.

God wants you to be healed in your body if you are born again. God does not want you to carry that high blood pressure, or that HIV virus in your blood anymore because you are now born again.

INSTRUCTION
Today, I want you to confidently ask God for your forgiveness, healing, wisdom or whatever you demand from Him knowing that God our Father gives to all who asks Him without reproach or fault finding according to James 1:5.

For further study read:
James 1:5-8, John 14:13, John 15:7, John 16:23-24.

DOING THE WORD
Today, ask the Father for whatever you desire without doubting.

The Man in Christ

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17(KJV)

I heard the story of a man who was suffering with HIV, it was said that when he got born again, he was taught the Word of God in our opening scripture that, “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” As well as other teachings from the Word of God about divine healing.

After some time of consistently feeding on the truth of God's Word concerning His health and well being, he decided to go again for a medical test in a church hospital, and the test result showed that he was healed. Being that the test was carried out in a church hospital, he didn't really believe that he was healed. So he decided to go and carry out a repeat of the same medical test in a hospital operated by unbelievers.

When he went for the next HIV test, he found out again that he was HIV negative. That was when he truly believed that he was healed, and the Word in 2 Corinthians 5:17 which states that, “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Friends, to be born again means to be born from above. This means that the life of God has come into your spirit and you have received salvation. Salvation is from the Greek word, 'soteria' meaning, 'soundness'.

Therefore, if you are born again, I want you to know that you have been made sound in your spirit, soul and body. Amen.

CONFESSION
As a child of God, I declare that I am in Christ, therefore, old things are passed away and all things have become new in my life. I have been born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the Word of God which liveth and abides forever. Therefore, my blood and every part of my being is purified by the Word of God in Jesus Name.

For further study read:
John 1:12-13, 1 Peter 1:23, James 1:18.

DOING THE WORD
Make your confessions daily and keep on meditating on the Word of God. That's where your life is sustained.

He completely paid

“When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
Matthew 8:16-17(KJV)

Our opening scripture lets us know that in the body of Jesus, all your sicknesses and infirmities; including your weakness and moral frailty was judged.

Therefore, know that no sickness, disease, weakness or any bad habit has any power over you or any right to keep you in bondage. This is because Jesus took them all.

When Jesus Christ completely paid for your sin over two thousand years ago, satan lost the right to make you sick or afflict you with any disease. The grips of sin and every other weakness was completely broken from your life. Believe this truth with all your heart today and start commanding satan to take his hands off your body, your mind, and every area of your life in the Name of Jesus.

Jesus has already dealt with the sin problem, therefore, satan has no right to make you sick. So, child of God, you can walk out of every sickness, and every weakness. The Bible says in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Therefore, accept this truth today and enter into your liberty in Christ Jesus. The Bible says in Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

CONFESSION
I believe, and I accept the truth that Christ Jesus has totally delivered me from every oppression of the devil. Therefore, I command satan right now to stop all his maneuvers against me and all that has to do with me in Jesus Name.

For further study read:

Matthew 20:28, John 19:30, Philippians 2:8,

DOING THE WORD

You have a right to health 2

“He was wounded for our rebellious acts. He was crushed for our sins. He was punished so that we could have peace, and we received healing from his wounds.” Isaiah 53:5(GW)

I want you to notice from our opening scripture, that the same sacrifice Jesus paid for your sins is the same sacrifice that paid for your healing. In other words, both our forgiveness and our healing, was accomplished by the same sacrifice.

So, you need to understand that, the same day that Jesus Christ paid for your sins, was the same day He paid for your healing. That is why in Matthew 9:1-8, Jesus told the Pharisees that they may know He had power on earth to forgive sins, He told the man that was paralyzed to rise up and walk.

This means that Jesus healed the man because He had forgiven him. So, if we believe that God forgives sins today, it means that God still heals today.

When you read through the curses in Deuteronomy 28:58-61, you will discover that sickness and disease is under the curse of the law. But the Bible says to us in Galatians 3:13, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:”

Therefore, since Jesus Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by His death on the cross for us and with His blood, we know for certain that sickness is no longer our portion. Praise God.

CONFESSION
I live free from sickness and disease because the Bible says in Galatians 3:13 that “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,” Therefore no enchantment or divination shall prosper against me because I am the blessed of the Lord. The blood line is drawn over my house and all that concerns me in Jesus Name.

DOING THE WORD

You have a right to health 1

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5(KJV)

Do you know that Jesus Christ has fully paid for your healing and health? As a child of God, I want you to know that healing is your right in Christ Jesus.

I want you to know that, Jesus has borne your griefs, He has carried away your sorrows, His wounds paid for your transgressions, His bruises paid for your iniquities, His chastisement was so that you may have peace, and His stripes completely paid for your healing.

It’s important you know that satan has no right to keep you sick. Your right to health has been made available to you by the stripes of Jesus.

The Bible says in Isaiah 53:10(GNB), “The LORD says, "It was my will that he should suffer; his death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness. And so he will see his descendants; he will live a long life, and through him my purpose will succeed.” So, what was God's purpose? Jesus said in John 10:10(AMP), “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” I want you to notice that, God wants you to have and enjoy life.

Therefore, since you cannot enjoy life living in sickness and disease, poverty, defeat and lack, I want you to reject them, but rather, lay hold of your inheritance in Christ, which includes; righteousness, peace, divine health, healing and prosperity, etc.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for sending Jesus so that I might have and enjoy life. Therefore, I lay hold of my inheritance in Christ, choosing to walk in righteousness, peace, divine health, and prosperity always, in Jesus Name.

For further study read:
Hebrews 7:25.

DOING THE WORD
Keep renewing your mind to the truth of your abundant life in Christ.

Not every sickness is caused by sin

“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” John 9:1-3(KJV)

Do you know that every sickness is not caused by sin? This is because some people believe that every sickness is caused by sin. They are just like the disciples of Jesus who believed that the blind man in our opening scripture was born blind because of sin. But Jesus corrected them saying, “Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” This proves that not all sicknesses are caused by sin.

Therefore, whether the particular challenge in your health was caused by sin or not, it is not God's will for you to continue suffering in any form of sickness or disease. I want you to know that Jesus came so that the works of God should be made manifest in you today.

Jesus has not changed. He is still healing the sick today. The Bible says in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” So just as Jesus went ahead to heal that man, He can heal you today.

This is because God takes advantage of people's problems to manifest His glory. So when someone is sick, He heals them to manifest His goodness. When someone is oppressed, God delivers them to manifest His power.

Therefore, I want you to remember this, no matter how difficult that challenge may be, it becomes a divine opportunity for God to show Himself strong on your behalf as a proof of His love.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the grace of the Lord Jesus extended towards me today, bringing about the manifested goodness of God in my health, and in every area of my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

God loves you unconditionally

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16(KJV)

Do you know that some people believe that, they are suffering today in sickness as payment for the sins that they committed in the past?

They have come to believe such because, they have not come to believe, and accept that, God loves them unconditionally. Therefore, they justify their sickness and pain because, they are still carrying the guilt of all the wrong things they have done. They find it difficult to demand for their healing because, they have not known and understood the gospel of salvation in Christ Jesus.

No matter who you are, or whatever sin you have committed in your past, I want you to know today, that God loves you. No, He does not love your sins and all the wrong doings of your past, but He loves you the individual, because you were made in the image and likeness of God.

God does not want you to perish, or to continue suffering under the oppression of the devil. That is why He sent Jesus. The Bible says in John 3:17, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
1 John 3:8 says, “... For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Therefore, if you will believe in Jesus and come to Him in faith and surrender to His love for you. You will receive eternal life into your spirit. That life in you will destroy the power of sin and every work of the devil including sickness and disease from your life.

If you are not born again, or you are a backslider, I encourage you to pray the prayer of salvation below:

PRAYER OF SALVATION
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. I am free from the law of sin and death and every sickness and disease. In Jesus Name. Amen.”

“I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.”
John 5:30(KJV)

Reading from the words of Jesus above, we see that He came not to do His own will, but the will of the Father who sent Him. This means that, whatever Jesus did was the will of the Father.

When you read through the scriptures, you will discover that Jesus was always healing the sick. This testifies that healing is always God's will. So never be afraid to pray for the sick or to demand for your healing because, healing is God's will.

In John 8:29, Jesus said, “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” Notice what Jesus said, He said, He does always those things that please the Father. That means, healing the sick, which is one of the things that Jesus did, always pleases the Father.

Be conscious of this truth; God is always pleased to heal you. God takes pleasure in healing. God does not want you to be sick. He does not take pleasure in your pain, but instead He is delighted to heal you. This is why the Bible says in 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Therefore, I want you to know that God does not want you to be sick, but His deepest desire and delight is for you to prosper and be in health. This is why He already made provisions for our health and well being in Christ.

Confession.
According to Colossians 2:10, I declare that I am complete in Christ, therefore whatever is not in Christ in not in me. Therefore whatever the Father has not planted in me is uprooted right now in Jesus Name. I am complete and whole in Christ to the glory of God the Father.

Stop waiting.

“Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.” John 5:2-3(KJV)

From our opening scripture, you will notice that the great multitude of sick people were waiting for the moving of the water to receive their healing.

In the same way today, a lot of sick people are also waiting for the moving of the water to be healed. In other words, they are waiting for the gifts of the Spirit to be in demonstration, while some are waiting for a miracle crusade before they can receive their healing, etc.

I want you to know that there is nothing wrong with waiting for the moving of the water, but I want you to learn something more today.

In John 5:5-6, the Bible says, “And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?” This was a sick man, but before he asked Jesus to heal him, Jesus asked him, “Wilt thou be made whole?”

That is the same question Jesus is asking every sick person today. This is because Jesus is always willing to heal, because God is always willing to heal. But in John 5:7 the man didn't say yes, but instead started complaining saying, “…Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”

Jesus so full of compassion, ignored His complains and said to the paralyzed man in John 5:8-9, “… Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked:…”

Therefore, I want you to know that you do not have to wait for a miracle crusade to receive your healing, but if you would only take God at His Word today, you shall be made completely whole in Jesus Name.

Instruction.
Please pray for all those who are sick in their bodies, especially those reading this devotional. Pray that faith will be stirred up in their hearts to receive their healing today in Jesus Name.

Speak the Word only.

“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Matthew 8:8(KJV)

Today, I want you to notice what was said by the centurion to Jesus. He said, “…speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” This shows you that God's healing Power is vested in His Word. In other words, the Word of God has enough Power to heal your body from all sickness and disease.

The Bible says in Psalm 107:20, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” If you will believe this today, that just as Jesus spoke the Word, and the centurion's servant was healed, you also can be healed by declaring the Word of God in 1 Peter 2:24 over your life.

Please make this declaration: “I declare that Christ Himself carried my sins in His body to the cross, so that I might die to sin and live for righteousness. I declare that by His wounds I have been healed. I declare that the Power of the Word brings healing and wholeness to every part of my being right now. In Jesus Name.”

Jesus said to the centurion in Matthew 8:13, “Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.”

The word 'done' is from the Greek word 'ginomai' it means 'to make happen.' This means that it is what you believe, that will happen to you.

Therefore, if you believe, then pray this prayer of faith below:

Prayer.
Father in the Name of Jesus, I bind every foul spirit of sickness and infirmity, I declare that their power is broken over my body, right now. I receive my healing right now in Jesus Name. Amen.

God is good.

“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.”
Matthew 8:5-7(KJV)

Our opening scripture is a manifestation of the goodness of God to the needs of man. It tells us about a centurion who came to Jesus telling Him his servant is sick at home. But Jesus showing His concern, cuts in and said, “I will come and heal him.” Showing us that Jesus was willing to go to the man's house to heal his servant.

Jesus did not consider the stress, or how long it will take Him to walk to the man's house. He didn't say to the centurion, “Do I have to come to your house? Why don't you just believe?” No. Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” I want you to understand that Jesus is showing us God's attitude to our needs.

God is concerned about you. God is a good God, and He is always willing to heal you and do you good. You have to know that we are in God's now season. In other words, whatever was a promise in the Old Testament, is now a reality in the New Testament because of what Jesus has accomplished for us.

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” The Contemporary English Version(CEV) puts it this way, “Christ says "Yes" to all of God's promises. That's why we have Christ to say "Amen" for us to the glory of God.”

Therefore, because Jesus Christ has died and rose again from the dead, all the promises of the Old Testament are now for your benefit and you can receive them right now including your healing. Praise God.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for your goodness and loving-kindness towards me. Am daily working in the blessing, and in the finished works of Christ in Jesus Name. Amen.

Doing the Word

Be sickness free.

“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”
Exodus 23:25(KJV)

Today, our opening scripture lets us know that the sickness free life is possible. This is  because, as you serve the Lord, He will not only bless your bread and your water, He will take sickness away from the midst of you.

In other words, serving the Lord should make you sickness proof. Exodus 15:26 says, “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 7:15, “And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.”

Isaiah 33:24 says, “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.” Notice that because the peoples iniquity are forgiven, there shall be no sickness among them. In other words, their sickness free life is a proof that their iniquities are forgiven.

Therefore, as a child of God, reject every form of sickness and disease, knowing that Jesus has forgiven you your sins. Even if that disease was caused by sin, know that because Jesus has forgiven you your sins and cleansed you with His blood, you should be free from that disease. So put your faith to work and lay claims on your healing and divine health in Christ.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because, it is your will that I prosper and be in health, free from all sickness and disease, may the life of God in me inundate every part of my being making me immune to every sickness and disease in Jesus Name. Amen.

Doing the Word
Refuse to accommodate any sickness in your body. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

All sicknesses can be healed.

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” Matthew 4:23(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that all kinds of sickness and disease can be healed by Jesus. So even if you were told that you have HIV or cancer in your body, fear not! You can be healed by Jesus today.

In Matthew 4:24, the Bible says, “And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.”

From the verse we just read, the Bible says that Jesus healed all those that were brought to Him. Notice, He didn't just heal some of them, He healed all of them. This means that, Jesus Christ is willing to heal everyone that comes to Him  in faith today.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 14:14, “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”

Sickness is a work of the devil, that is why God wants to heal you. The Bible tells us in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Prayer.
Dear Father I command every oppression of the devil in my life: in my body, in my blood, in my bones, in my mind, in my academics, in my family, in my business, in my home to be destroyed right now in Jesus Name. Amen.

Do you have faith?

“And when Jesus went on from there, two blind men came after him, crying out, Have mercy on us, you Son of David. And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, Have you faith that I am able to do this? They said to him, Yes, Lord.”
Matthew 9:27-28(BBE)

From our opening scripture, we see two blind men crying out to Jesus to have mercy on them. Notice what Jesus said in answer to their request. Jesus asked them a question, “… Have you faith that I am able to do this?”

What is faith? Faith is the visible expression of confidence in God and His Word. Faith is also the present tense expression of confidence in God and His Word. From this two definitions, we can further define faith as the visible expression of present tense confidence in God and His Word.

So if you have faith in your heart that God wants to heal you now, you must be expectant. In other words, you must be ready to receive your healing now. Jesus already made it known in His Word that, He wants to heal you in Matthew 8:3(CEV).

This means that you must be confident that God wants to heal you now, because faith is always now. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

When the two blind men we read about in our opening scripture declared their faith in Jesus to heal them, the Bible says in Matthew 9:29-30, “… According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; …” I declare that this shall be your experience today. According to your faith be it unto you. Be healed right now in Jesus Name. Amen.

Instruction.
If you are sick in your body today, I want you to put your hand where you hurt and pray this prayer. Say, “Devil I break your power over my body and my mind right now in the Name of Jesus. And I speak healing to every part of my being right now and I confess that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed right now, in Jesus Name. Amen.”

Jesus wants to heal you

“And behold, a leper came and worshipped Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."” Matthew 8:2(EMTV)

From our opening scripture, you will notice from the words of the leper, that he knew that Jesus could heal him, but he was not convinced or sure, that Jesus would be willing to heal him at that time.

It is sad to say that there are a lot of Christians today who believe that Jesus has the ability to heal them, but they doubt His willingness to heal them. The Contemporary English Version(CEV) puts it this way, “Suddenly a man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus. He said, "Lord, you have the power to make me well, if only you wanted to."”

So the question I will like to ask you today is this; “Do you believe Jesus is willing to heal you now?” I want you to read what Jesus said in answer to that in Matthew 8:3(EMTV), “And reaching out His hand, Jesus touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” The Contemporary English Version(CEV) renders it this way, “Jesus put his hand on the man and said, "I want to! Now you are well." At once the man's leprosy disappeared.”

Therefore, I want you to know that Jesus is willing to heal you today. Jesus has not changed. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Put your faith in His Word to work today, and His power will be released towards you for your healing in Jesus Name. Amen.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you because the Power of your Word is released towards me right now, bringing wholeness into my whole being in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

God's still heals

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24(KJV)

Do you know that there are some people who believe that God doesn't heal anymore? But that is not true because, God still heals today.

The Bible says in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” According to the Word of God, Jesus never changes. So, if Jesus healed yesterday, or in Bible days, it means He is still able to heal today, tomorrow and forever.

Secondly, I want you to know that, all sicknesses can be healed. This is because, the Bible says in Psalm 103:3, “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;” This means that you can live in a state of health as a child of God, because, it is one of God's deepest desires for you as seen in 3 John 1:2 where the Bible says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Therefore, if you are sick today, no matter what kind of sickness you are afflicted with, you can be healed. In Matthew 4:23, the Bible says, “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” The Bible tells us that, Jesus healed all manner of sickness and disease among the people.

From the above, I want you to know that, no matter what the sickness or disease is called, it can be healed. The Bible says in Malachi 3:6, “For I am the LORD, I change not;” Therefore, you can be healed today, if you believe with all your heart His Word to you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I believe your Word to me today. Therefore, I declare that by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed, and I live my days in divine health in Jesus Name. Amen.

If God forgives, then He still heals.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;”
Psalm 103:2-3(KJV)

From our opening scripture, the Bible reaffirms our conviction in the truth that God forgives all our iniquities, and heals all our diseases.

It is important you know and understand why the Bible talks about God forgiving us, before He heals us. It is because, when you feel condemned, you cannot receive from God. This is why some Christians find it difficult to receive these benefits from God. It is because, the consciousness of sin, and the condemnation of satan, has corrupted their minds from the generosity in Christ.

In 1 John 3:20-21, the Bible says, “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.” So you see that when our hearts does not condemn us, it is then we have confidence towards God. So it is obvious why God deals with the issue of forgiveness first, before healing.

When you study your Bible from Matthew 9:1-8, Mark 2:1-12 and Luke 5:18-25, you will see the story of the man that was paralyzed. You will notice, that the first thing Jesus said to Him was, “… Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.” (Luke 5:20) This shows you that Jesus is more willing to forgive you, than you are willing to receive your forgiveness.

When you study the references given above of the paralyzed man, you will observe that Jesus healed the man to show that He had forgiven the man. Therefore, I want you to know that, so long as God still forgives sins, He still heals today.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your faithfulness and loving kindness towards me. I live my life conscious of the truth in 1 John 1:9 that if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Therefore I lay claim on my forgiveness, healing and well being for my body in Jesus Name. Amen.

Your benefits in Christ

“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” Psalm 68:19(KJV)

I want you to know, and be conscious of this reality that, you are daily loaded with benefits as a child of God. It is important you know that you are daily loaded with benefits like; forgiveness, healing, deliverance, soundness in your mind, in your spirit and in your body, preservation, safety, prosperity, etc. with a fresh newness everyday.

Notice what the Prophet Jeremiah says in Lamentations 3:21-23(ESV), “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” God's benefits to us are new every morning, so great is His faithfulness to us.

For instance, lets look at the benefit of forgiveness we have from God. Do you know that when God forgives, He forgives eternally? He does not remember all those sins anymore because of the blood of Jesus. The Bible says in Colossians 1:14, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

Hebrews 9:12 says, Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. This is why the Bible says in Psalm 86:5, “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.”

Therefore, knowing that God is ready to forgive you of your sins, because of the sacrifice of Jesus, I want you to act on what 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

INSTRUCTION
If you are living in unconfessed sin in any area of your life, today, I encourage you to let it go by confessing it, let go of your guilt, and receive forgiveness from God.

Don't judge yourself by your past anymore, because the blood of Jesus has cleansed you from all sin.

WALK in your inheritance 2

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:12(KJV)

From our opening scripture today, I want you to notice that your divine inheritance which includes: forgiveness, healing, deliverance, soundness in your mind, in your spirit and in your body, preservation, safety, prosperity, etc. has all been freely given to you of God.

In other words, you do not need to pay for any of these things that are your inheritance as a child of God because someone has already paid the price for these things. That person is Jesus Christ.

I want you to know today, that Jesus’ death, paid for it all. It paid for your forgiveness, healing, deliverance, soundness in your mind, in your spirit and in your body, preservation, safety, prosperity, etc. Praise God.

Therefore, as a child of God, do not let the devil rob you of any of these things that has been freely given to you. The Bible says in Romans 8:32, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

Then Paul the Apostle, speaking by the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 says, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the Power to become a child of God. I receive forgiveness for every short coming, thank you for healing, and health for my body, thank you for I have been delivered from the power of darkness, and every oppression of the devil. I am sound in my mind, in my spirit and in my body. I am preserved from all evil. I dwell safely in my going out, and in my coming in, and I live my days in prosperity in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Psalm 84:11, Psalm 91:1-16.

DOING THE WORD
Meditate on these truths, and think in line with the Word of God.

walk in your inheritance 1

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us that there are things that God has prepared for those who love Him. In other words, God has made ready some good things for you if you love God. It is important you know, that when you got born again, you were born into a divine inheritance.

Some of these divine inheritance you have a right to now as a born again child of God are forgiveness, healing, deliverance, soundness in your mind, in your spirit and in your body, preservation, safety, prosperity, etc. These are some of the benefits of salvation which the Bible tells us has been revealed by God to us by His Spirit.

This means that without the Holy Spirit, we will not know what God has revealed. And the Holy Spirit is the One that reveals the Word of God to us. This shows us that the Bible is the Holy Spirit talking to us. Also in 1 Corinthians 2:10-12, the Bible says, “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”

Therefore, give attention to the Word of God because it is the voice of the Spirit revealing to you, your divine inheritance in Christ.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for my eyes are anointed to see, my ears are anointed to hear, my heart is anointed to receive and to understand your Word. I believe I receive supernatural insight and revelation from your Word, by Your Spirit, on how to lay hold of my inheritance in Christ everyday in Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
From today's devotional, make a list of some of your inheritance. Know that each one is your right in Christ. Declare that they are yours if you have not started enjoying them. Don't let satan rob you of them.

Jesus is willing to heal you

“And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.”
Matthew 8:7(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we can see that Jesus is always willing to heal all those who come to Him in faith.

In Matthew 8:1-3(GNB) the Bible says, “When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

In Luke 5:17-25(GNB) the Bible says, “One day when Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of the Law were sitting there who had come from every town in Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was present for Jesus to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a bed, and they tried to carry him into the house and put him in front of Jesus. Because of the crowd, however, they could find no way to take him in. So they carried him up on the roof, made an opening in the tiles, and let him down on his bed into the middle of the group in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the man, "Your sins are forgiven, my friend." The teachers of the Law and
the Pharisees began to say to themselves, "Who is this man who speaks such blasphemy! God is the only one who can forgive sins!" Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Why do you think such things? Is it easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? I will prove to you, then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "I tell you, get up, pick up your bed, and go home!" At once the man got up in front of them all, took the bed he had been lying on, and went home, praising God.”
I want you to know that your healing is never an inconvenience to God, it does not matter the sickness that is on your body, or how it came; if you will only recognize Jesus as Lord, He will become a healer to you today.

CONFESSION
I declare, that by His wounds I am healed of every sickness, pain, or any form of oppression of the devil against me because Christ has redeemed me from the curse of sickness and disease, and he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Therefore, I believe and I declare that I am free from sickness and disease in Jesus Name.
