Do not doubt

Sunday, January  31st
Do not doubt.

“A person who has doubts shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord. A person who has doubts is thinking about two different things at the same time and can't make up his mind about anything.”
James 1:7-8(GW)

So many people find it difficult to receive from God because of unbelief. What is unbelief? Unbelief is having faith in something else other than the Word of God. Unbelief is also having faith in someone or something else more than in God. If you are that way you cannot receive anything from God.

Do not try to work for what God has already given freely as that amounts to unbelief because you are not relying on faith and the grace of God which gives us all things freely (See Romans 8:32). When you come to God, come to Him on the grounds of faith, conscious of His grace. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” What is grace? Grace is the goodness of God to the undeserving. Therefore, when you come to God in faith, be conscious of His grace and His willingness to give you whatsoever you ask.

Do not be like that Christian whose confidence is  more in himself and his works rather than in Jesus and His finished works. Such a Christian does not see the possibility of receiving anything from God by faith alone. Therefore, he always has reservations in his heart that maybe he has not prayed and fasted enough, or he has not sowed enough seeds that will move God to answer him. No matter what you do, when it comes to receiving from God, your faith should not be in your works but primarily in Jesus and His willingness to do you good. When you are that way it will always be easy for you to receive. God bless you. Have a great year.

Instruction
Please take out time throughout your day today to count your blessings. Thank Him for your victories already and the answers you have already received this year. Sing praises to His Name in thanksgiving.

How much can you receive?

Saturday, January  30th
How much can you receive?

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

In the realm of the spirit, whatever you believe for is what you have a right to. For instance, from our opening scripture, we see that we have a right to righteousness because we believed with our heart. In the same way, you have a right to every other good thing revealed in the gospel by believing with your heart.

If you lack anything, ask of God. This is because, in the realm of faith, God is your source and only resource. So, your response to God is based on your revelation of God. A lot of people do not have confidence in asking from God because they do not have the revelation of God as the giving God. When you know Him as the giving God, you will know that He is not the One withholding from you;  rather, it is your faith that determines what you receive from Him.

James 1:5-7(AMP) say, “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind. For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord,”

Instruction
What need do you have in your heart? Ask the Father in faith for it in the Name of Jesus.

From inside out

Friday, January  29th
From inside out.

“Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out…”
Romans 12:2 (MSG)

The change you desire to see in any area of your life this year is going to come from inside out. To better understand how this works, I will like you to know that you have three sets of eyes; first is your spiritual eyes; second, your mind's eye and third, your physical eyes.

Your spiritual eyes help you to see into the realm of the spirit. It is from there that God gives you revelation. You are able to see as God sees.

When it comes to receiving from God, He puts whatever you ask Him for in your spirit. So, you are able to see the reality of what God has given you in the spirit with your spiritual eyes. But until you are able to see what God has given you in the spirit with your mind's eye, you will not be able to deliver it to the realm of the physical where you will be able to see it with your physical eyes.

Everything that God gives you comes through your spirit; your mind gets renewed to it before it is manifested in your life. Until your mind is transformed, what God has lodged in your spirit will not be manifested in the natural. This was why when Paul prayed for the Ephesians in Ephesians 1:18(GNB) he said, “I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people,”

The outcome of your life is determined by what your mind can conceive. Your inner vision is what determines your outward reality.

Prayer
Dear Father, I ask that you grant me spiritual insight and wisdom, so that my mind can be opened to see your light, the hope to which you have called me and how rich the wonderful blessings you have for me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

What do you see?

Thursday, January  28th
What do you see?

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless …”
Genesis 15:1-2

God spoke to Abram prior to this time in Genesis 13:16 that his seed will be as the dust of the earth, yet we see Abram speaking to God in our opening scripture that he is going childless. This means he was not seeing the possibility of having a child.

Therefore I want to use this to teach you that a prolonged condition is based on a mindset or a way of thinking. If a situation continues for a long time, do not blame the situation because the Bible says as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. So, instead of getting angry with God or the situation, change your thinking.

How are you seeing your life, marriage, health, ministry, children, circumstances, etc.? The way you see the various areas of your life to a large extent will determine your expectation. Your expectation reveals your faith and your faith will determine what you get.

So from today, I encourage you to choose to begin to think and see (visualize) the future that is consistent with what God has said to you in His Word. This is important because the future that you see is the future that will be.

Confession
According to the Word of the Lord, I choose to call and see myself and all that concerns me the way God sees me. I refuse to consider all contrary evidence; they are temporary and they are subject to change and align to the Word of God concerning me, in Jesus' Name.

For further study, read:
Genesis 13:14-15, Philippians 4:8, Hebrews 12:1-2.

Doing the Word
Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Give

Wednesday, January  27th
Give

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Luke 6:38

I want to encourage you to put God first in your finances. There is no other way to express your faith in God concerning you finances other than in giving. If you have faith that God will supply, you will give, but if you do not have faith in God's supply, you will not give.

The reason why people do not give is because of fear. Fear is an expression of a lack of trust in God's ability to provide, protect and promote. So when God gives you an instruction to give, it is important you know that it is an invitation for a divine encounter in your finances and in His provisions towards you.

Every instruction you receive from God is access to provision, protection and promotion. When God instructed the widow woman to give all she had left to the Prophet Elijah she thought she was going to die, but when she obeyed, she accessed divine provision. The Bible shows us this in 1 Kings 17:12-16(MSG), She said, “I swear, as surely as your GOD lives, I don't have so much as a biscuit. I have a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a bottle; you found me scratching together just enough firewood to make a last meal for my son and me. After we eat it, we'll die." “Elijah said to her, "Don't worry about a thing. Go ahead and do what you've said. But first make a small biscuit for me and bring it back here. Then go ahead and make a meal from what's left for you and your son. This is the word of the GOD of Israel: 'The jar of flour will not run out and the bottle of oil will not become empty before GOD sends rain on the land and ends this drought.'" And she went right off and did it, did just as Elijah asked. And it turned out as he said--daily food for her and her family. The jar of meal didn't run out and the bottle of oil didn't become empty: GOD's promise fulfilled to the letter, exactly as Elijah had delivered it!”

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you that as I give in obedience to your Word to me in this season, it shall be given unto me; in good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into my bosom, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read: Proverbs 3:9-10, Ecclesiastes 11:1-2(MSG), 2 Corinthians 9:6-8.

Doing the Word:
Whatever God demands that you give in this season, give it mindful of the harvest He has already prepared for you.

Be willing and obedient

Tuesday, January  26th
Be willing and obedient.

“Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.”
1 Kings 17:3-4

Yesterday, we learnt that if you are where God wants you to be, you will always have provision. Today, I want you to learn something more on the way God makes his provision available to you gleaning from the experience Elijah had.

God told Elijah that He had commanded the ravens to feed him. The ravens are very selfish and greedy birds yet God told Elijah that He has commanded a very selfish and greedy bird to feed him. If you were Elijah, will you believe such a Word from God? But the Prophet Elijah believed because he trusted in God's integrity and ability, not in the character of the ravens.

Therefore, if you are going to experience such supernatural provisions, your trust must be completely in God's integrity and ability, knowing that He is able to use anyone, including the most stingy, to bring provisions to you.

Stop determining your prosperity according to what the financial experts have said. Your prosperity is not dependent on their speculations and postulations. No matter what the experts may be saying, the Bible says in Isaiah 1:19, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” No matter how difficult things look to the natural man, God has shown you that there is always good in the land for those who willingly obey Him to eat. Your case is different. Praise God.

Prayer
Dear Father, I rest in your care for me. I believe in your integrity and ability to supply all my needs according to your riches in glory. I pledge to be willing and obedient; therefore I eat the good of the land, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 103:1-5, Isaiah 3:10, Joel 2:23-27.

Doing the Word

The drought is not for you

Monday, January  25th
The drought is not for you.

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.”
1 Kings 17:1-4

Our opening scripture tells us about the day in Israel when the Prophet Elijah declared judgment on the nation because of the sins of Ahab, the king of Israel, at that time. I also want you to notice that as God was judging Israel with drought, He ensured that his servant Elijah was well taken care of. God arranged for his provisions. I want you to know that if you are serving God faithfully, no matter the challenges of the economy of the nation in which you live, God has arranged already supernaturally for your provisions. The drought is not for your sake; you are exempted.

What you need at this time is to listen and follow the instructions that God gives you. God instructed Elijah to go to the brook Cherith because that was where his provision was. He obeyed and went because if he is where God wants him to be, he will have provision.

Are you where God wants you to be? If you are, then you need not worry about anything because you will surely have provision.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for your guidance and leadership in my life. Thank you for your faithfulness to your Word concerning my provisions; it has given me an advantage in the midst of difficult circumstances, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Job 5:19-27, Psalm 33:18-19, Psalm 37:19.

Let God guide you

Sunday, January  24th
Let God guide you.

“But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.”
Genesis 24:24

Today, I will like to speak to all my single brothers and sisters, especially those of you who are planning to get married. I will like to start by asking you this question: “Who determines your choice of a spouse?” Your sincere answer to this question reveals the anchor from where you make your decisions.

In case you have decided to get married this year, if you are a lady, “Is it really God or the material possessions of the man: his cars and houses that determine your decision?” If you are a man, “Is it really God or the outward beauty of the woman: her face, hips and fingertips that determine your decision?”

Do not be deceived by outward things; let God guide you. The package may attract you, but it is only the content that will keep you. There are many who have anchored their decision to marry an individual because of the packaging. After the marriage, they opened the package and discovered that it was not what they wanted, but it was too late because they were already married.

There is the story of a lady who was deceived by a guy who always bragged about what he had; meanwhile he actually had nothing. The lady finally married him because of his illusionary wealth, and found out he had nothing. It was too late for her to turn back because she was already married to him.

The bottom line is this: let God guide you, not money, possessions, beauty, lust for pleasure, greed, etc. Be sure of one thing, when God guides you, every other good thing that you desire will be added to it. Trust his judgment.

Instruction
Pray for all unmarried singles today, that God will guide them to the right man or woman who is His perfect will for their lives.

For further study, read:
Genesis 24:1-67.

Doing the Word:
If you are a single, I encourage you to recommit yourself, spirit, soul and body to God. Trust God's judgment for you and do not compromise your chastity.

Keep out of debt

Saturday, January  23rd
Keep out of debt.

“Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, …”
Romans 13:8(AMP)

One thing you must do for yourself this year is to keep out of debt and do not owe any man anything.

Learn the discipline of not living above your means but relying on the sufficiency of Christ even in difficult circumstances. Apostle Paul expresses this discipline to us in Philippians 4:11-13(AMP) saying, “… for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am. I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].”

This year do not acquire debts: do not buy clothes and shoes on credit. Do not spend your money before it comes. This is because whenever you buy anything on credit you have spent the money in your future. Clothes and shoes do not have second hand value, so do not invest in them.

Prayer
Dear Father, I ask that in this season, may the work of my hands, my ideas and my business be anointed with grace to produce wealth and increase, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Activate divine supply

Friday, January  22nd
Activate divine supply.

“So do not start worrying: 'Where will my food come from? or my drink? or my clothes?'”
 Matthew 6:31(GNB)

God tells us not to worry because those who  worry or complain have their faith in their ability. If you find a person that complains and says things like, “How am I going to survive now that they have not paid us?”, such a person believes that he will not be able to survive unless his salary is paid. It shows that his faith is in his ability or the money he worked for. He forgets that God has not called us to depend on our salary but in His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

The man who depends on his salary can still be in lack because his salary was never intended to meet all his needs. All your needs can only be met by God. This is why you must be connected financially to God. Partner with the kingdom of God in giving because that is one sure way of activating divine supply.

Philippians 4:15-20(CEV) say, “My friends at Philippi, you remember what it was like when I started preaching the good news in Macedonia.

After I left there, you were the only church that became my partner by giving blessings and by receiving them in return. Even when I was in Thessalonica, you helped me more than once. I am not trying to get something from you, but I want you to receive the blessings that come from giving. I have been paid back everything, and with interest. I am completely satisfied with the gifts that you had Epaphroditus bring me. They are like a sweet-smelling offering or like the right kind of sacrifice that pleases God. I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus! May God our Father be praised forever and ever. Amen.”

Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to Philippians 4:19 that my God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Amen.

Divine instruction

Thursday, January  21st
Divine instruction.

“There was a famine in the land, as bad as the famine during the time of Abraham. And Isaac went down to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerar. GOD appeared to him and said, "Don't go down to Egypt; stay where I tell you. Stay here in this land and I'll be with you and bless you. I'm giving you and your children all these lands, fulfilling the oath that I swore to your father Abraham. So Isaac stayed put in Gerar.”
Genesis 26:1-3,6(MSG)

Notice the obedience of Isaac to God's instruction to him to remain in Gerar as opposed to his previous decision to go down to Egypt because of the unfavourable conditions in Gerar. Isaac's decision to stay put in Gerar proves that he recognizes God as his source not the economic condition of the nation where he lived. This should serve as an example to you in your decision making this year.

A dear minster told a story of a man who wanted to relocate to a foreign country. He went to his Pastor for counsel and his Pastor told him plainly not to go, but his wife insisted that he must go. Finally, he agreed to go. After he got established there and his wife was expecting to be called to come over, the man sent a message to her telling her to continue with her life with their children because he has decided to start a new life abroad. How sad. The Pastor saw it and counseled him not to go but because the wife did not see God as her source, she convinced her husband who was not also convinced that God was his source, and they disobeyed divine instruction and destroyed their lives in the process.

It pays to follow divine instructions. Do not trivialize any instruction that God gives to you this year.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you because my ears are anointed to hear your instructions and my eyes are anointed to see my opportunities this year even as I follow your guidance and leading, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 26:12-14, Psalm 37:1-6, Psalm 32:8.

Doing the Word

Do you tithe?

Wednesday, January  20th
Do you tithe?

“But Melchisedech, the king of Salem, bringing forth bread and wine, for he was the priest of the most high God, Blessed him, and said: Blessed be Abram by the most high God, who created heaven and earth. And blessed be the most high God, by whose protection, the enemies are in thy hands. And he gave him the tithes of all.”
Genesis 14:18-20(DRB)

Today I want you to know that you do not need to experience the ordeals others have experienced because of failure on their part in following the principles of the kingdom of God. Now that you are a Christian, you cannot continue to live your life by the values and principles of the world. There are principles of the kingdom to live by. Learn them and follow them strictly with convictions.

One of such principles is tithing. Do you tithe? Your tithe is ten percent of your income; it belongs to God not to you. Choosing to give your tithe is putting God first in your finances. I know what it means to experience an ordeal because of failure to follow the principle of tithing.

There is an experience of life called 'the college of hard knocks. You do not have to go through it before you learn to begin to do the right things. I recommend that you go through 'the college of information.’

Matthew 6:24 says, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Do not serve greed, but instead, let mammon bow to God by your choosing to tithe.

Confession
I am a believer and not a doubter; therefore, as I practice the principles of the kingdom especially in tithing, I declare according to the Word of the Lord in Malachi 3:11-12, the devourer is rebuked for my sake, he shall not destroy the fruits of my ground; neither shall my vine cast her fruit before the time in the field. All nations shall call me blessed: for I shall be a delightsome land. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 28:22, Malachi 3:8-12, Hebrews 7:4-8, Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42.

Doing the Word

Put God first

Tuesday, January  19th
Put God first.

“Put yourself now in a right relation with him and be at peace: so will you do well in your undertakings.” Job 22:21(BBE)

This year I want to encourage you to put God first in every area of your life. Do not put money, business or any other pursuit first. Let God come first. Always ask yourself, “This project that I want to pursue: is it in line with the Word of God and will it benefit the kingdom of God?”

When you put the concerns of your life before God and you let them drive you instead of the Word of God, it will lead to unfruitfulness. The Bible says in Matthew 13:22, “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”

What is the basis of your decisions in life? Is it money or the Word of God? Do you prioritize the principles of the kingdom of God as against the principles of the world in your decision making? For instance, let us assume that you were given an offer for a job, but they demanded that you will need to work every day from Sunday to Sunday including Sunday mornings. Will you choose to accept the job and lose the commanded blessing because of the salary?

When your decisions are determined by how much you are going to make at the expense of the commanded blessing, you are making wrong choices. Such decisions are what brings unexplained losses.  Many lives are victims of such wrong choices as they seem prosperous but with many sorrows. Learn to take these things seriously. Put God first in everything you do and shut the door to the adversary.

Prayer
Dear Father, I ask that you grant unto me a perfect heart that is focused on doing your Word and following your direction and counsel even in my decisions and choices daily, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
1 Chronicles 28:9, 1 Kings 8:61, Job 36:11.

Doing the Word
Reorder your values and consciously put God first in everything you do.

IMPACT WEEKLY (A Weekly publication of Charismatic Renaissance International Church Inc.)

FIRST ARTICLE:
A KING’S INVITATION
(2016, THE YEAR OF THE SON)

The Lord spoke to me and impressed on my heart to have a meeting called ‘A King’s Invitation’ and He gave me a scripture for it.

I want you to know that the Word you are about to read today will change your life forever. I see you getting bigger, greater, your marriage better, your children more obedient and submissive to your authority, your wife more loving and you will be more caring in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You have entered your best year yet.  By the end of this year, your life will be a thousand times better.

If you come to our church and you see what the Lord has done, the tiling, and the roof and the excellence, God did it cheaply. He was reminding me when today of the big things He has done for me so far. And He has done them with ease and without fanfare that grace is upon us. What God will do in your life in 2016, it will be obvious it is God that did it.

First of all, why the King’s Invitation? What do we mean when we say A King’s Invitation?
We’ll begin by defining the word invitation. An invitation is a written or spoken request for someone to go somewhere else or to do something. Secondly, an invitation is a formal request to be present or participate. Now we all know that God is A King. In fact, He is the King of kings. So, let’s explain the King’s Invitation and take you into the Big Picture of 2016.

In Matthew 22:1-4 the bible says; “And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and [my] fatlings [are] killed, and all things [are] ready….”

From the above scripture, you will notice that the King was inviting them to come for a wedding and He said to tell them that they should come that he has killed his oxen, he has killed his fatted calf and they should come to the dinner for all things are ready. We have entered a year that God is setting you up for a blessing, because all things are ready. That means in 2016, the things you were looking for, searching for, working hard for, you will find them placed in your hands by God. He has made all things ready’.

You have to understand that Christianity is an invitation to participate in divinity. Becoming a Christian is an invitation into the God-kind of life. It is an induction into royalty. It is also an adoption into a family. It is becoming a member of a royal family. Becoming a Christian is a complete change of status. As a Christian reading this, you are now a member of God’s household. Notice from the scripture that the king never forced them to come. It was an invitation. He said tell them that all things are now ready. As Christians, the Bible tells us we have been invited to marry the lamb.

2 Corinthians 11:1-2 says; “Would to God ye could bear with me a little in [my] folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ.”
We’ve been invited to a wedding.

According to Matthew 22:5-10; “But they made light of [it], and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated [them] spitefully, and slew [them]. But when the king heard [thereof], he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.”

Christianity is an open invitation. Jesus says ‘come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest’. (Matthew 11:28). So it is an invitation to rest. It is not an invitation to struggle but to rest.

It continues in Verse 11 saying: “And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:”

Now you also have to understand that when you get born again, there is a change of garment, God takes away the cloak of sin and gives you the garment of righteousness. That is why Paul said I want to present you a chaste virgin to Christ. It is a wedding and if so, then there is a wedding garment, but from where we read, this man was there, he wasn’t wearing the wedding garment.

Verse  22:12-14 says; “And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast [him] into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few [are] chosen.”

This guy was in the wedding ceremony, but wasn’t wearing the wedding garment, in other words, he was among Christians but he wasn’t saved. There are many people who are amongst us, ready to participate in the royal bounty and they are not born again, and the way you are going to be able to participate in it is to be born again. Because that is the only way you are going to get your garment.

What I am sharing is for believers, 2016 is going to be a difficult year for unbelievers. The handwriting is on the wall all over the world. Look at the floods in the U.K , the floods in the United States. The fire burning in Dubai, it is going to be a difficult year for unbelievers. But for those of us who are saved we are spared.

To be born again is to be exempted. You have to know it. I just want to remind you that when the children of Israel were in Egypt, God made a distinction. Whatever problem was happening to the children of Egypt did not happen to the children of Israel. Those of us who have come to the Lord, who have been brought near to Him are exempted.
Galatians 1:3-4 says; “Grace [be] to you and peace from God the Father, and [from] our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:”

You have to know that the way out of the troubles coming is to be saved. That is the only way out.

In 1 Peter 2:9, scripture says; “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:”

So, if you are born again you are no longer in darkness.

There is a fascinating scripture that says; ‘arise and shine for thy light is come, for the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee’ and forget to pay attention to verse 2 which say ‘For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee’ Isaiah 60:1,

We are in a season where darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the people. People are afraid everywhere. But the Bible says ‘but the Lord shall arise upon thee and his glory shall be seen upon thee’. I want to let you know that it is important you start your year right, get born again and get your garment. We are talking about salvation.

Luke 14:15-17 says; “And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed [is] he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God. Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.”

No wonder the Bible tells us ‘Blessed be the Father and God of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places’ (Ephesians 1:3). We are in the season where all things are now ready. You don’t struggle for things. You don’t beg for things.

Luke 14:17-18
“And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one [consent] began to make excuse. …”

Some of you might want to make an excuse for salvation today, saying ‘I will get born again tomorrow’. I remember Mike Murdock shared a story why he always makes an altar call before he preaches. He said he was in a meeting one day, he didn’t make an altar call then a twelve-year-old girl left the meeting and was hit by a car outside the service and she died. He said he had to fast for 14 days because he felt so guilty and since then whenever he preaches, he makes an altar call first, because he doesn’t know when someone will just get up and says the message is long and leave. People make excuses and say ‘I will get born again tomorrow’.

When I was seventeen years old, there was this young man named Ezikpe, he was about 15 or 16 years old, we use to call him Ezikes, and before then, I will tell them it’s as though God wants me to be saved, it’s as though God wants me to be born again and they will say you go and answer God’s call, go and get born again, but he will say that they will get born again later in their lives, they want to groove, they want to enjoy, when they are old, they will come to God. The sad thing is that about two years later, Ezeikpe was involved in a car-crash and he died. We went to school together, it still hurts me today, and I wish I could turn back the hands of time and tell him that there was no promise of tomorrow to the unbeliever. The only person that has the promise of tomorrow is the believer. The Bible says ‘the path of the just is like a shining light that shines more and more unto a perfect day’. But it says ‘the path of the wicked is darkness’.

Luke 14:18-21
“And they all with one [consent] began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.”

It is my prayer for you that what God ordained for you in 2016 will not go into the hands of another, it is my prayer for you that in 2016, your destiny will not be aborted. They were invited according to the Bible but they made an excuse.

Luke 14:22-24
“And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel [them] to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.”

Matthew 16:13
“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?”

Religion is the worship of God based on human opinion. He says ‘whom do men say that I the Son of Man am’. A lot of times we worship God based on someone’s opinion of God.  You don’t judge God or deal with Him by people’s opinion or by your experience, you judge God by who He is. And the Bible says ‘in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God’ (John 1:1). So, the Word of God is the accurate picture of who God is. Don’t let anyone tell you who God is. Let the Word of God speak for itself.

He says ‘whom do men say I the Son of man am?’ Every religion has an opinion of Jesus. The Muslims have an opinion of Jesus. They call Him ‘Isa’, and they believe that when their ‘mahdi’ who is their messiah will come, he will convert Christians to Islam. That is not our Jesus.

SECOND ARTICLE:
NEW THINKING FOR A NEW YEAR(continued from last week)
You are cut off from the life of God and that is why you don’t see divine supply. You don’t see all the supernatural things you want to see. You can’t see them because you are cut off. You are thinking like an unbeliever. You used to travel every week but this week you just decided not to travel, so that demons will not know the time to attack you. When you are like that something is wrong.

Do you think you are safe because you didn’t travel? Some people were sleeping in their houses when a trailer went off the road and drove into their bedroom. What of the incidence of the plane where it flew right on top of a house to meet the people inside? People are safe because they are covered by His grace. Don’t talk like an unbeliever, don’t talk like one that does not have a covering. You have a covering. The Bible says ‘my life is hidden in Christ’. You are covered, you cannot die. Your going out is blessed and your coming in is blessed. Don’t be carnally minded.

If you want to see different results, you have to think differently. When last year started, people said a lot of prayers, binding all the spirits responsible for what has been happening to them yet they still have the same thinking. This can only produce the same results in your life.

Job 1:8-10 says; “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”

That means there is even a protection on your shoes.

The Living bible puts verse 10 this way “You have always protected him and his home, and his property from all harm, you have prospered all he does, look how rich he is…”

In the Message Translation, it says “Why, no one ever had it so good! You pamper him like a pet, make sure nothing bad ever happens to him or his family or his possessions, bless everything he does--he can't lose!”

He says he will pamper him like a pet. Have you seen a mother fond of her child? That is the way God treats you, but God says if the suckling mother forgets her nursing child, He will not forget you. He says you are in the palm of His hands, then He also says you are the pupil of my eye.

The devil speaking about Job said God blesses everything Job does—he can’t lose! Therefore, you can’t lose as well. Have a New thinking. Start thinking differently from this year, 2016.

Romans 8:6 says; “For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.”

Don’t say things like ‘only God knows what is going to happen this year, money will not reach some of us at all’. If you accept it in your thinking then that is what it will be for you but not for the next person. The Bible says if you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land.

The Bible says ‘as he thinketh in his heart…’, it did not say as the witches allow him, rather it says as he thinketh in his heart so is he. God cannot help you if your thinking is not positive. A lot of times we feel God can just do anything, yes He can, but why is everybody not saved? God wants everybody on earth to go to heaven but you know some people are planning to go to hell. It is a choice. It is their thinking.

One time Kenneth E. Hagin was ministering to a minister of God who had not been able to walk, and while he was praying with the minister, the minister said ‘I just know God doesn’t want to heal me, I just know it, he won’t heal me’ and Kenneth E. Hagin being a prophet said God opened his eyes and he saw Jesus and He had something like a bowl in His hand and He said‘see? he won’t let me’.

THIRD ARTICLE:
AN INTRODUCTION TO CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP 2
(continued from last-week)

We have previously looked at the Concept of Leadership and the next thing we will look at here is “content”. When we are dealing with content, we are looking at what you contain and in this context, we are looking at the content of your character.

 WHAT IS CHARACTER?
Your character can be defined as the sum-total of your personality; that is, the way you talk, think and behave. We need to understand that in many ways, life is about leadership. In the family, a father is the leader because he leads his wife.

Ephesians 5:23-24(MSG) says; “The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing.  So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.”

The bible tells husbands that their leadership should not be a domineering leadership, but loving leadership; husbands should lead by love. As a father, you are also a leader in your home.
In Ephesians 6:4(MSG), the scripture says; “Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.”

Fatherhood is leadership. Therefore, any man that wants to succeed in leadership and in family as well as in marriage must understand the principles and the parameters that God approves.  And it is important to know that as a man, before you bring a child into the world, you should know that you are going to lead that child.  Similarly, if you are in business, you are also a leader. You are leading an organization. So, you have to understand leadership if you are going to excel in business. Many businesses will not go beyond average because the individual heading them did not develop or cultivate leadership skills for their businesses. If you are in politics, you are also a leader.

“Samuel gave solid leadership to Israel his entire life. Every year he went on a circuit from Bethel to Gilgal to Mizpah. He gave leadership to Israel in each of these places”, 1 Samuel 7:15-16(MSG).
Everything we do is about leadership, even our relationship with others require leadership skills because you have to develop your people skills in your relationship with others.  So we began by looking at the concept of leadership. How does God want us to lead and what are those things that He requires of us in leadership, then the content, which deals with our character. We are looking at the foundations of Christian leadership. What are those things that God requires of us?

Proverbs 16:12 [KJV] posits; “[It is] an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.”

SHOUTS OF VICTORY! (Testimonies from Charismatic Renaissance International Church Inc.)

Favor in Marriage
I also want to thank God for my marriage which took place in November 2015. Prior to that time, people advised me not to go on with the plan at that period because things looked difficult. But I believed what the Bible says about marriage that he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtains favor from God, so I went ahead with my plans to get married. In a few weeks before the wedding, God made everything so easy that we had five persons offering to give my wife the wedding gown for the day, some others offered to make the cake free of charge and I was very happy and grateful to God because I knew it was the favor of God that was working. PRAISE GOD!

Favor with Baby things
I and my wife have been believing God for the provision of baby things because she and we received a knockout miracle on the 1st of January 2016. A friend of mine called from London and was asking after my family and everything else. I told him we were fine, and he asked if I had gotten the things I needed for my baby, I told I hadn’t and he said he was going to send me those things from London and right now they are already on their way to us. GLORY TO GOD!

The commanded blessing

Monday, January 18th
The commanded blessing.

“They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.”
Psalm 84:7

A dear Man of God spoke about a time he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. While he laid down feeling weak, he remembered that there was going to be a service that day. He got up and went to the service in spite of the pain he was feeling. He left the service that day completely healed and healthy. Praise God!

What made that possible? Our opening scripture shows us, “They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.” In this year, make a decision that nothing will be able to stop you from appearing before God in the congregation of the saints.

This is important because every time you miss a service, you missed a blessing. The Bible lets us know that there is a commanded blessing released upon us every time we gather together for a service before God.

Psalm 133:1-3 say, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”

Confession
Read Numbers 6:24-26 and declare the blessing over you and your household.

For further study, read:
Matthew 18:20, Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25.

Doing the Word
Plan not to miss services and times of fellowship with other believers.

The Blessing

Sunday, January  17th
The blessing.

“The blessing of the Lord--it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].” Proverbs 10:22(AMP)

The blessing of the Lord is the source of true riches. When the blessing of the Lord is upon you and what you do, you will be exempted from sorrow and toiling.

Some people have sweated so hard with all their might to be, do and have all they have today. The blessing is not evident in their lives since all they have got was by their own effort and sweat. Their lives are void of favour and there is nothing great that have ever come to them for free. God does not want your life to be that way.

The blessing of the Lord on you would amplify every effort you put into what you do. It will empower you to prosper and give you favour with men. It is okay to work hard knowing that God will reward your efforts but do not see hard work as your source. The blessing is your source.

Psalm 127:2(MSG) says, “It's useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don't you know he enjoys giving rest to those he loves?” Some people work so hard and they cannot even rest. They do not know that God loves giving rest to those He loves. See Mark 6:31. Do not be so busy that you cannot even attend church. If you have been that way in the past, I encourage you to recognize God as your source this year and He will remove the toiling from your life.

Confession
In the Name of Jesus I declare according to the Word of God in Ephesians 1:3, that my heavenly Father has blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. The blessing is upon me and all that I lay my hands to do. The blessing of the Lord has made me rich and removes all toiling from my life. Amen.

Doing the Word

Abundantly supplied

Saturday, January  16th

Abundantly supplied.

“And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19(AMP)

Today, I want you to know that God gives liberally. God loves to supply. Our opening scripture says, “…God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” This means that it is God's will for you to be needs-free. He will so supply your needs to the point that you have no needs.

There is no need that God cannot meet because His supply is not according to the riches of your job, business or the economy of the nation. His supply is according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

The word 'supply' in our opening scripture can be described using the net of a fisherman when it is crammed with fish to the point that there is no more space left. This means that God wants every area of your life to be filled to superfluity. This is God's will for you; therefore open your mind to abundance, plenty, surplus, over and above. Why should you believe in supply like this? God wants to supply to you in this way so that you can be a blessing to your world and establish His will upon the earth.

Confession
Dear Father, I acknowledge you as my source and the One who has given me the power to get wealth so that I may establish Your covenant which You swore unto the Fathers as it is this day.

For further study, read:
Psalm 36:7-9, Psalm 23:1-6, Psalm 34:10.

Doing the Word
Be supply conscious.

God is your source

Friday January  15th

God is your source.

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;”
1 Timothy 6:17

I believe you have great plans and goals already written down. For every one of these great plans to be fulfilled and for you to prosper God's way, you must recognize God as your source.

Put your hope and trust in God alone because He is your source. Our opening scripture shows us that God is the One that gives us riches. This means that God wants you to be rich and He wants you to enjoy. This should put your heart to rest because you know that God wants the very best for you.

Therefore, do not look to your job, man, money, the economy of this nation or any other thing as your source; they are only channels God uses to supply.

God has not chosen some people to be poor and some people to be rich. According to the scriptures everyone who believes in Jesus Christ has been made rich. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 8:9(AMP), “For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).” Today I want you to liberate your mind from the stronghold of lack by this truth. He became poor so that you might be made rich. It is time for you to enter into your wealthy place and it begins with your thinking.

Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to the Word of God in 2 Corinthians 8:9, my Lord Jesus Christ, though He was rich, yet for my sake He became poor, that I through His poverty might be made rich. Therefore I declare that I am rich by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:32, 1 Corinthians 3:21-23, 3 John 2

Doing the Word

New Thinking For A New Life 3

New Thinking For A New Life 1

Make the right choices

Thursday, January 14th

Make the right choices.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: …” Deuteronomy 30:19-20

God may have a great destiny for you, but getting there is totally your responsibility. He has chosen you and decided a destiny for you, but He does not make the choices for you. So, it is the choices you make that determine if you will fulfill the destiny that God has decided for you or not.

Your decision is what eventually determines your destiny and your decision is the product of the information that you have. So, if you start getting the Word of God into your heart and mind, you will eventually begin to make the right decisions.

It has been said that the quality of a man's life is the product of the decisions that he makes. Your destiny is the sum total of all your decisions. Solomon was exposed to quality information by his father David so when he had an encounter with God and was given the opportunity to ask for whatever he wanted, he made the right choice and asked for wisdom. See what God said to him in 2 Chronicles 1:11-12(GNB), “You have made the right choice. Instead of asking for wealth or treasure or fame or the death of your enemies or even for long life for yourself, you have asked for wisdom and knowledge so that you can rule my people, over whom I have made you king. I will give you wisdom and knowledge. And in addition, I will give you more wealth, treasure, and fame than any king has ever had before or will ever have again.” One right decision he made brought with it every other good thing.

Instruction.
Please read Ephesians 1:17 and pray that prayer for yourself today.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 2:1-6, Proverbs 3:13-18, Proverbs 4:3-9.

Doing the Word.
Prioritize the Word of God because the Word of God is the wisdom of God.

Wednesday 13 January 2016

Take responsibility

Wednesday, January 13th

Take responsibility.

“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
Proverbs 10:4

You are responsible for where you are today in your finances. Take responsibility because you are not going to succeed with God unless you have a sense of responsibility.

Zig Ziglar said that a man is no failure unless he begins blaming others. Failures blame others for the outcome of their lives. Are you a failure or a success? Successful people have a sense of responsibility. So when things go wrong, they ask for direction from God to know what they need to do to go forward.

If you are a doer of the Word of God, you will prosper wherever you are because the Word of God is the gateway to unending prosperity. The world's way may lead to financial increase, but the only sure way to prosperity is God's way.

The children of this world are fraudulent to get financial increase but we follow the principles of God's Word to birth a life of prosperity.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you because my path is the path of the righteous and it is shining more and more unto the perfect day, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 12:24, Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 20:13.

Doing the Word.
Do your work with diligence; give it a hundred and ten percent.

Tuesday 12 January 2016

Be consistent

Tuesday, January  12th
Be consistent.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Psalm 1:1-3

Our opening scripture shows us that when we follow the principles of God's Word consistently, it will lead to a life of prosperity wherever we are and in whatever we do. This shows us that prosperity is not a function of your location; it is a function of your convictions and your practices.

Inconsistency and instability in your character as a Christian can minimize your effectiveness in life. Reuben became ineffective in his life because of instability in character. When it was time for him to enter into the fullness of the blessing for his life, he was disqualified because of instability in character. Genesis 49:4 says, “Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's  bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.”

James 1:25(GW) says, “However, the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget; they actually do what God's teachings say.” This should be your life this year. Consistency is the key to prosperity and success.

Prayer
Dear Father, I repent from every area of compromise and I receive grace for every area of weakness even as I commit to doing your will with integrity and sincerity, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 39:1-12, Psalm 112:1-10, Psalm 119:1-16.

Doing the Word.
Walk before God in integrity.

Upgrade your thinking 2

Monday, January  11th

Upgrade your thinking 2.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but continually be transformed by the renewing of your minds …” Romans 12:2(ISV)

You can never permanently help a man until you can change his thinking. So if I am going to help you change permanently, then I must change your thinking first. Your prosperity starts in you. Stop blaming others for where you are. Take responsibility for where you are and begin to renew your thinking to the life of success that God has called you to live.

Your life will rise or fall to the level of your thinking. Your destiny will not be fulfilled until you renew your mind to the level of God's thinking. God wanted the children of Israel to possess the Promised Land, but the first generation of the children of Israel did not make it. They all died in the wilderness because of the quality of their thoughts. They could not see themselves killing giants; they saw themselves as grasshoppers, so they died in the wilderness even though God's will for them was to possess the land of Canaan. See Numbers 13:25-33.

Therefore, for you to be able to experience steady progress and prosperity this year, I recommend for you what God recommended for Joshua in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Prayer
Dear Father, I ask that you grant unto me an understanding of the times that I may know precisely what you require of me in this season, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

For further study, read:
Job 22:21-30, Job 23:12, Psalm 16:5-6.

Doing the Word:
Do not be afraid to start small the dream that you have in your heart. If you will be faithful God will increase you.

Sunday 10 January 2016

Upgrading your thinking 1

Sunday, January  10th

Upgrade your thinking 1.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: …” Proverbs 23:7

Your present condition or your present circumstance is a result of your current level of thinking. The way you think will affect the quality of your life.

Dr. Tom Anderson said, “Until people think differently they will continue to be poor and they will continue to be sick.” Your thoughts affect the quality of your life. This is why you must continue to renew your mind with the Word of God.

Keep hearing the Word of God because God uses His Word to align your thinking with His thoughts. To the measure you align to divine thinking to that measure you will enjoy divine provision.

A research was done by Dr. John Avanzini and his team and they found out that if they gave everybody in the world one million dollars there will still be enough money to go round. Bill Gates alone is worth about sixty billion dollars or more. If  there are over seven billion people in the world, it is obvious that there is a lot of money in the world for everybody if only one man can have that much.

So, the reason people are poor is not because of a lack of money. It is said that poverty is not a condition of being without money; it is a belief of the heart. Therefore, it is what you believe that determines the condition and the circumstances of your life.  Poverty is first of all a mental condition before it becomes a physical condition. See 3 John 2.

Prayer
Dear Father, according to your Word to me today, I reject poverty and lack; I choose to accept the life of abundance and plenty because, according to your Word in 2 Corinthians 8:9, Jesus became poor so that I, through His poverty, might become rich. I am rich, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

For further study, read:
2 Corinthians 8:9, Proverbs 24:30-34, Proverbs 28:19.

Doing the Word:
Do not be slothful and lazy. Do not live in idleness; you can create a job for yourself.

You and your marriage

Saturday, January  9th
You and your marriage.

“Marriage is honorable in every way, so husbands and wives should be faithful to each other. God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery.”
Hebrews 13:4(GW)

A lady came to Andrew Womack and asked him to pray for her for God will fix her marriage. He replied with a question, “Are you born again?” She said, no, but went on to say that the most important  thing to her at that time was her marriage. Andrew Womack said, “Really! Do you know that if you die right now you will go to hell?” She replied saying that she knows. He then asked her again, “When you are burning for eternity in hell, will marriage matter to you then?” She said, no. Then he encouraged her to get saved first and after she got saved, he prayed for her marriage, and it was restored.

From the story above, you will observe that the lady never thought of her salvation or the consequence of not getting saved. All she was concerned about was her marriage. She did not put the first thing first, so the problem continued in her marriage.

Today I want you to know, especially those of you having challenges in your marriage, “Your marriage is a reflection of your relationship with God.” The Bible says

in Ephesians 5:22, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” So, if the wife does not know what it means to be submitted to the Lord, how can she submit to her husband?  A woman that is fully submitted to the Lord will submit to her husband. The same thing applies to the husband: if he has not received the love of God, he cannot love his wife as Christ loved the Church according to Ephesians 5:25.

The success of your marriage as a Christian is hinged on your relationship with God. As a wife, learn what it means to be submitted to the Lord and express the same to your husband. As a husband, understand the depth of Christ’s love towards you and the Church and express the same to your wife.

Instruction
Please pray for married couples around the world today; that those who are not saved will come to know the Lord, break the power of darkness causing strife and division among couples and ask the Lord to establish their hearts in His love.
