Take the limits off

Tuesday, May 31st
Take the limits off.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20

Now when the Bible says God is able to do exceeding abundantly, the word abundantly means a superabundance or an overflow. So when you receive a vision from God it is going to blow off the limits of your thinking.

Just like I shared with you yesterday, God told me to “Take His healing power to the nations.” Notice that the word nation is in plural. This means He was not just referring to African nations but to all the nations of the world. That indicates a superabundance.

What is the size of the dream you have come up with? I sincerely believe that it is still less than God's vision for your life. God came to a bricklayer in Australia and gave him a vision that will affect the history of the world for the next three hundred years. He is one of the richest men in Australia right now. He got saved when he was about twenty six years old after he was said to be mentally retarded. He learnt to read by buying a dictionary and he had about three dictionaries which he read consistently; one was in his bathroom, one in the house and one to go everywhere with him. When he came across an unfamiliar word, it was through the help of others he learnt to pronounce those new words. But right now, the same man is said to have one of the most phenomenal minds in the world.

Believe in God's vision for your life. Choose to see yourself and call yourself what God has called you and be willing to develop your innate potentials until you become a wonder to your world.

Prayer.
In the Name of Jesus, according to my faith in Matthew 17:20, I declare that nothing shall be impossible unto me. God is at work in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure until I become a praise on the earth for His glory. Amen.

For further study, read:
Luke 18:27, Hebrews 11:6, Hebrews 11:11.

Doing the Word
No matter the contrary evidence you see around you, continue to meditate on the visions God has shown you and continue to develop and improve on yourself until you become a wonder to your world.

To go beyond

Monday, May 30th
To go beyond.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20

When the Bible says in our opening scripture that God is able to do exceeding it means that God is able to 'go beyond', 'throw beyond the usual mark', 'to go beyond all presupposed limit', 'to go beyond all boundaries', etc.

Now with the understanding of the word exceeding, think of a boy living in a one room apartment with his family in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. Imagine God coming to him and telling him to, “Take my healing power to the nations.” That was me. Most of the ministries I knew in our nation at that time did not have influence far beyond the shores of our nation. Therefore that rhema word from God to me at that time was telling me to go beyond all presupposed limits.

God's dreams and His vision for your life will always take you beyond all boundaries. I want you to know that for the believer, influencing and affecting the world is not optional, it is mandatory. He calls you the light of the world. Therefore you cannot afford to think small and work with God. Open your mind to divine possibilities in your walk with God and watch Him take you beyond all presupposed limits.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you anoint my mind to conceive your dreams and visions concerning your plan for my life. I rest in your ability to throw me beyond the usual mark, including all presupposed limits and boundaries, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Matthew 19:26,  Mark 10:27, Luke 1:37.

Doing the Word
Please meditate on Philippians 4:13.

Live for vision

Sunday, May 29th
Live for vision.

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, ...”
Habakkuk 2:2

What is a vision? A vision is a revelation of God's plan and purpose for your life. A vision can also be defined as insight into the reason why you were born.

I went to a website that trains people in becoming a success in business and I noticed that the man's driving force is to see to it that business people carry out their business in line with their purpose. I also discovered that there were people who were doing well in the job they were doing initially but they were not fulfilled. But after they aligned themselves with the purpose for which they were born they finally found fulfillment in life.

There is a true life story of a very wealthy man who was loved by his nation but he committed suicide by jumping off from his building. He collapsed on the floor and died. He was liked by everyone and he was wealthy too, yet he lacked fulfillment. He got to the highest point in his chosen career and discovered that money and the praise of men is not what gives fulfillment. This frustration has caused many to commit suicide even in the midst of fame and fortune.

Chasing after fame and fortune without making the fulfillment of your God given vision your primary objective is chasing after the wind. That is what the preacher calls, “… vanity of vanities; all is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 1:2

Instruction.
Appraise your life honestly by God's purpose or vision for your life and get back in track in areas where you have compromised.

For further study, read:
Habakkuk 2:1-3, Hebrews 10:36, Proverbs 1:10.

Doing the Word
Identify the things that are distracting you from God's vision for your life and eliminate them.

Live for your purpose

Saturday, May 28th
Live for your purpose.

“GOD made everything with a place and purpose …” Proverbs 16:4(MSG)

To become a true success in life, you must learn to guide your life by the purpose for which you were born and not by selfish ambition. I did a research on businesses and I discovered that most of the thriving businesses were businesses that were run based on a God's given vision or the individual believes that the business they are doing is the purpose for which they were born.

Live for your purpose because God brought you into this world to make a remarkable difference in your generation. Therefore, I want you to know if you are reading this today that you were not born to pass through time without making a remarkable difference. You were born to make a remarkable difference.

So how are you going to make this difference that God has ordained for you? You cannot succeed in becoming all that God has ordained for you outside of His will for your life. Secondly, you cannot know His will for your life unless you let Him guide you into His will.

The Bible says in Isaiah 30:21, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”

Entering into God's will for your life begins with having a vital relationship with God by being born again. Therefore, if you are reading this devotional today and you are not born again, I will like to give you the opportunity to get born again and begin a fresh start in your walk with your heavenly Father by praying the prayer of salvation below;

Prayer of Salvation.
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that you raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit and I ask that you fill my heart with the knowledge of your plan and purpose for my life even now. Amen.”

For further study, read:
Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 19:21,
Colossians 1:16(MSG)

Doing the Word
Do not compromise living for your purpose for any human ambition or gain.

Embrace God's plan

Friday, May 27th
Embrace God's plan.

“…I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way that you should go.”
Isaiah 48:17(AMP)

It has been said that man's plans has no guarantee of success but God's plans has no possibility of failure. Therefore for you to succeed you must submit to God's plans. God wants to do business with you and through you.

God's ideas are always big ideas. It may start small but its latter end would greatly increase. God thinks big. For instance, he looked at the small group of people in a tiny piece of land called Israel and said to them, “Ye are the light of the world.” He looked at the man Abram who had no child and said to him, “A father of many nations have I made thee.” God thinks big, therefore to succeed with God; you must also learn to think like Him.

Ephesians 3:20 reveals to us the ability of God as our partner. The Bible says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” God always takes you beyond every presupposed limit because He specializes in doing exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or  think. So no matter how big you think the dream you have is, it is smaller compared to what your partner (God) can deliver. Praise God.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you teach me to profit, make progress and abound in my business and all that you have called me to do, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 25:12-13, Genesis 39:3, Daniel 6:1-3.

Doing the Word
Do not take your decisions in business without consulting God and putting Him first.

Connect your business

Thursday, May 26th
Connect your business.

“Jacob vowed a vow: "If God stands by me and protects me on this journey on which I'm setting out, keeps me in food and clothing, and brings me back in one piece to my father's house, this GOD will be my God. This stone that I have set up as a memorial pillar will mark this as a place where God lives. And everything you give me, I'll return a tenth to you."”                      Genesis 28:20-22(MSG)

Today, I want to teach you to partner with God for business exploits. In order for you to do this effectively, not only should you tithe as an individual, your business should also tithe. If you are a Christian business man, you cannot have a business that tithes and sinks. Tithing is what connects your business to God and God's economy. If you are not a tither you will limit the ideas and innovations that come to you as a Christian business man.

Why should you partner with God in business? To understand why, you must first of all understand that partnership is a shared responsibility. Therefore a partner is someone with a shared responsibility in a business venture or enterprise. In this context, when you are partnering with God, it means that you are relying on God for the supply of the insights and ideas your business should operate with.

Why is this important, the Bible says in 1 John 5:4, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” This means that any idea that comes from God is an inevitable success.

God is not a failure and He has never failed, therefore partnering with God in business puts you on the path of sure success in your business endeavors. Therefore every idea you get from God is a failure proof idea. Jacob was able to succeed in his business and was able to outsmart his boss Laban who tried to cheat him several times because he got his ideas from God, therefore he was able to produce business exploits inspite of the challenges he faced in his day. (See Genesis 31:7). You also can do the same even as you learn to partner with God.

Prayer.
Dear Father in the Name of Jesus, I realize that tithing is partnering with You. I choose to be a partner with You even in my business to experience business exploits in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Deuteronomy 14:22-23, Job 1:10, Genesis 30:25- 43.

Doing the Word
As you vow to tithe, ask the Lord to give you ideas for business exploits.

Righteous prosperity

Wednesday, May 25th
Righteous prosperity.

“May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you! The land has produced its harvest; God, our God, has blessed us. God has blessed us; may all people everywhere honor him ...” Psalm 67:5-7(GNB)

God prospers you to humble the world for His glory so that He can show off with your life. Your prosperity as a Christian makes God look good and gives good publicity for the kingdom of God.

I remember the story of a Muslim landlord whose house was close to a church. Anytime any of his tenants was having financial problems he always directed them to the church close to his house because he had noticed that everyone that goes to the church prospers. As he saw the prosperity in the lives of his tenants after they started attending the church, this Muslim Alhaji finally decided one Sunday to visit the church; when he did, he got born again and his life became a testimony of God's saving grace.

What evidence of the gospel led to the conversion of this Muslim to Christ? The visible prosperity in the lives of Christians. Their prosperity drew him to Christ and he became blessed as well. God will also do the same for you, if you believe and start applying the principles of prosperity you have learnt from this month's devotional faithfully.

Prayer.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to my faith in Galatians 3:13-14, that Christ hath redeemed me from the curse of the law, being made a curse for me: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come upon me through Jesus Christ; I declare that the blessing of Abraham is mine. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 12:2-3, Galatians 3:8-9, Galatians 3:13-14.

Doing the Word

Give to those in need

Tuesday, May 24th
Give to those in need.

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
Galatians 6:10

I will like to share with you what I found out from a study I did concerning giving to the poor from the Bible; I found out that caring for those in need especially for those who are Christians secures your life from ever been in need.

Proverbs 28:27(GNB) says, “Give to the poor and you will never be in need. If you close your eyes to the poor, many people will curse you.” This clearly shows us that giving to the needy among us and also the poor of this world is one sure way for us to maintain our wealthy place. You can also break out of poverty by learning to give to those in need. As long as you think you are the poor and want to be stingy, you will never come out of lack. You break out of lack by your giving. Proverbs 28:27(CEV) says, “Giving to the poor will keep you from poverty, …” The Apostle Paul quoted the words of Jesus in Acts 20:35(BBE) saying, “…There is a greater blessing in giving than in getting.”

The Macedonian Church broke out of poverty and lack by giving to the needs of others. 2 Corinthians 8:1-4(CEV) says, “My friends, we want you to know that the churches in Macedonia have shown others how kind God is. Although they were going through hard times and were very poor, they were glad to give generously. They gave as much as they could afford and even more, simply because they wanted to. They even asked and begged us to let them have the joy of giving their money for God's people.” If the description of the Macedonian Church describes your present circumstances, I encourage you to give your way out of poverty.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for blessing me to be a blessing, until all the families of the earth have been blessed, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
2 Corinthians 9:10-12, Deuteronomy 15:5-8,
Hebrews 6:10.

Doing the Word
Remember the poor especially those who are Christians.

Prosperity with a Purpose

Monday, May 23rd
Prosperity with a purpose.

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”
1 Timothy 5:8

One of the reasons God prospers you is for your needs to be met and for you to be able to take good care of your family. As God prospers you, He expects you to care for your family and those in your house. Proverbs 13:22 says, “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children …”

God also prospers you so that you can help the poor. Therefore whatever you give to the kingdom or to the poor goes into your future.1 Timothy 6:17-19(CEV) says, “Warn the rich people of this world not to be proud or to trust in wealth that is easily lost. Tell them to have faith in God, who is rich and blesses us with everything we need to enjoy life. Instruct them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind the rich to be generous and share what they have. This will lay a solid foundation for the future, so that they will know what true life is like.”

2 Corinthians 9:8-9(AMP) says, “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!”

Confession.
Dear Father, I declare according to your Word in 2 Corinthians 9:8 that you will cause all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) to come to me in abundance, so that I may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 11:25, Proverbs 19:17, Proverbs 22:9.

Doing the Word
Be generous.

Prioritize the kingdom

Sunday, May 22nd
Prioritize the kingdom.

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18

The number one purpose of prosperity is to finance the kingdom of God. When you do not prioritize the kingdom of God as God prospers you, you will set yourself up for a downfall.

This was the mistake the children of Israel made during the days of Haggai the Prophet; they left God's house to lie waste and they were going about their own business. Here is what the Bible said to them through Prophet Haggai, “How is it that it's the 'right time' for you to live in your fine new homes while the Home, GOD's Temple, is in ruins?"   And then a little later, GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies spoke out again: "Take a good, hard look at your life. Think it over. You have spent a lot of money, but you haven't much to show for it. You keep filling your plates, but you never get filled up. You keep drinking and drinking and drinking, but you're always thirsty. You put on layer after layer of  clothes, but you can't get warm. And the people who work for you, what are they getting out of it? Not much-- a leaky, rusted-out bucket, that's what. That's why GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies said: "Take a good, hard look at your life. Think it over." Then GOD said: "Here's what I want you to do: Climb into the hills and cut some timber. Bring it down and rebuild the Temple. Do it just for me. Honor me.” Haggai 1:4-8(MSG) Prioritizing the kingdom of God is honouring God and that is the number one purpose for your prosperity.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the power to get wealth. As I prosper more and more by your blessing, I vow to prioritize the kingdom and give you the honour that is due you always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Matthew 6:24-34, 1 Timothy 6:10, 1 Timothy 6:17.

Biblical prosperity

Saturday, May 21st
Biblical prosperity.

“Remember, I will be with you and protect you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done all that I have promised you."”
Genesis 28:15(GNB)

Biblical prosperity is a result of supernatural influence. You must realize that God is enough; He is all you need, with Him you can have all your dreams come through. What He said to Jacob in our opening scripture is what He says to you today, “I will not leave you until I have done all that I have promised you.” Amen.

You are not disadvantaged. You can prosper anywhere you are for God is with you. Remember that He will be with you and protect you wherever you go. Therefore you can prosper under any circumstances. Nothing and no one can stop your success. Isaiah 54:15 says, “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.”

You can prosper inspite of the world's system. Do not copy them. Prosperity requires divine partnership. So recognize that everything you do can be done in partnership with God. You are not alone; expect to prosper in all that you do. You can prosper wherever you are irrespective of negative conditions. Biblical prosperity is not limited by negative circumstances, it triumphs over negative circumstances.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because you are with me therefore I am prosperous. According to your Word, You will be with me and protect me wherever I go. You will not leave me until every good word you have spoken to me has been brought to fruition in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 26:1-3, 6, 12-14, Genesis 31:6-9, Deuteronomy 31:6.

Doing the Word
Be conscious of God's divine backing in all you do.

Friday 20 May 2016

Increase your knowledge base

Friday, May 20th
Increase your knowledge base.

“Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”
Proverbs 24:3-4

One of the reasons why people are poor is because of a lack of productivity. One of the things you need to do in other for you to increase your level of productivity is to increase your knowledge base. You may need to get new skills. If need be you may need to go back to school or complete your education if you have not. You may also need to acquire computer education as it is required to be effective in most professions today; so you may need to learn new programs and software's that will increase your efficiency and productivity in what you do.

Always remember that with productivity comes increase. Therefore if you are praying for promotion then you must be willing to apply yourself to a greater level of productivity. Joseph was productive and as a result he was promoted. The Bible says, “And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand. So Joseph pleased [Potiphar] and found favor in his sight, and he served him. And [his master] made him supervisor over his house and he put all that he had in his charge. From the time that he made him supervisor in his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the Lord's blessing was on all that he had in the house and in the field. And [Potiphar] left all that he had in Joseph's charge and paid no attention to anything he had except the food he ate.” Genesis 39:3-6 (AMP)

Joseph started as a slave and grew to become a supervisor in the house of his master Potiphar the Egyptian because he was productive. I encourage you today to step up your level of productivity in what you do knowing that the blessing is also upon your life for an increased level of productivity even as you increase your knowledge base.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding concerning my business and every area of my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 10:4, Proverbs 24:5, Colossians 1:9-11.

Doing the Word
Research and find out ways you can be more productive in what you do. Be diligent enough to apply your findings.

The right mindset

Thursday, May 19th
The right mindset.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: …”
Proverbs 23:7

Your greatest limitation in your journey of advancement and prosperity is in your mind. This is why the Bible says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: …” So, how do you think concerning your provision? Do you see God as your source? Is that your mindset? This is important because your mindset decides from the outset the outcome of your life.

When you observe the life of Joseph in the scriptures, you will notice that he never complained when he was brought down to Egypt because he had the right mindset. He had an understanding of divine prosperity. That is the understanding you need to excel wherever you are. This understanding will give you a mindset that gives you such confidence that wherever you are if God is there, you will prosper.

See how the Bible describes the life of Joseph even when it looked as though he was in a disadvantaged circumstance, divine prosperity was still at work. The Bible says, “And Joseph was brought down to  Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites, which had brought him down thither. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.” Genesis 39:1-3. This does not describe prosperity by your effort. This is prosperity by God's involvement in your life.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I choose to maintain the right attitude irrespective of my circumstances. I believe I receive grace to excel, to make progress and to prosper wherever I am and in whatever I lay my hands to do. Thank you Father for divine prosperity is at work in me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 21:22, Genesis 39:20-23, Acts 7:9-10.

Doing the Word

Money matters

Wednesday, May 18th
Money matters.

“Why spend money on what does not satisfy? Why spend your wages and still be hungry? Listen to me and do what I say, and you will enjoy the best food of all.”
Isaiah 55:2(GNB)

All true prosperity begins in the mind. The difference between the poor and the rich is their way of thinking or their mentality. When you put money in the hands of a poor man, all he thinks about is his needs and how to spend that money to meet his immediate needs. The mentality of the rich is different. When you put money in the hands of the rich he thinks of how to multiply it (he invests it). The poor man spends all his money but the rich man invests most of his money.

To be a truly rich man God's way, you will have to reorder your priorities. What is the first thing you do when money comes into your hands? As a steward over God's resources, the first thing to do is for you to remove God's portion which is your tithe (10 percent) it belongs to God. Do not use your tithe to do business and neither should you spend your tithe to meet your needs. Tithing is kingdom investment which guarantees supernatural prosperity. Your tithing will save you from all kinds of loses, it guarantees an abundance of good things and God's partnership with you in your business and finances. It guarantees a steady growth in your income until there is no more need in your life and it insures your business against failure. There is so much benefits that tithing will bring to you that is why it should be your number one priority in your finances.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you grant me wisdom in financial management and how to multiply wealth, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Jeremiah 2:13, Haggai 1:5-6, Malachi 3:6-12.

Doing the Word
Do an honest assessment of your income and ascertain for yourself how much of your income you invest every month. (Your tithe, seeds, offerings, seeds to other believers, gifts to the poor, other business investments)

Prosper in all realms

Tuesday, May 17th
Prosper in all realms.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 1:2

Prosperity means more than money, but to most people prosperity is all about amassing money. Prosperity to them for the most part means financial prosperity alone but that is just one kind of prosperity because there are others.

While the natural man focuses mainly on financial prosperity, it is important that we as believers excel in all the different kinds of prosperity which includes spiritual, mental and physical prosperity. Spiritual prosperity refers to the prosperity of your soul; this includes making spiritual advancement or spiritual growth.

Mental prosperity refers to the renewal of the mind; this enhances the ability for you to make progress in your thinking to conceive productive ideas, etc. Physical prosperity includes prosperity in your body. Prosperity in your body is health.

So prosperity is beyond money. God wants you to   prosper in all realms of life. The man or woman who is growing spiritually is prospering spiritually. If your mind is being renewed you are prospering mentally. If you are living in health you are prospering physically. Therefore, God's will is for you to prosper spiritually, mentally, physically and financially.

Instruction.
Write down each kind of prosperity and write goals underneath each one that will enable you to effectively maximize all the kinds of prosperity.

For further study, read:
Philemon 1:6, 2 Peter 1:3-9, Romans 12:2,
Acts 27:33-36.

Doing the Word
Prioritize all kinds of prosperity in a balanced way.

Take a real rest

Monday, May 16th
Take a real rest.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest.” Matthew 11:28(MSG)

A lot of people complain about been stressed, and I know what it means to be there. Anytime I am stressed the Lord always makes me know that I am not leaning on Him. If you want to take a real rest, then lean on the Lord. Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Matthew 11:28(AMP) says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” In Matthew 11:29 the Lord says, “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, …” This shows that if you are stressed on the road to success, there is something you do not know. The Lord tells you to take His yoke upon you; in other words, He wants you to partner with Him. When you are in partnership with the Lord, your life will be free from painful toiling.

God wants you to prosper

Sunday, May  15th
God wants you to prosper.

“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”
Isaiah 48:17

Our opening scripture shows us that God teaches us to profit and He leads us in the way that we should go. This means that when we are following the leadership of God's Spirit in our lives we will never fail. This is because God is interested in our success. There are lots of people who do not know that God is interested in their success so they find it difficult to trust God.

3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” God desires your prosperity.
Jeremiah 29:11(NIV) says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God wants you to prosper. He has plans to prosper you. His plans for you include giving you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:11(MSG) says, “I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out--plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” The Contemporary English Version puts it this way, “I will bless you with a future filled with hope--a future of success, not of suffering.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I believe in your plans for me. I ask that your plan for prosperity, care and success is brought to fruition in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Stop complaining...

Saturday, May  14th
Stop complaining …

“These people complain, find fault, follow their own desires, say arrogant things, and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.”
Jude 1:16(GW)

If any of the character mentioned in our opening scripture describes you it means you do not know God as your source, therefore you need to repent.

The Bible admonishes us in Philippians 2:14(GW) “Do everything without complaining or arguing.” Why does God want us to do everything without complaining? It is because through complaining many have cursed their blessings without knowing.

The children of Israel never saw God as their source so they were always complaining about their needs. In Exodus 16:4-5(GW) the Bible says, “In the desert the whole community complained about Moses and Aaron. The Israelites said to them, "If only the LORD had let us die in Egypt! There we sat by our pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted! You brought us out into this desert to let us all starve to death!"”

Do you see God as your source? Then stop the complains about your needs. Do not act like the children of Israel. God already knows your needs before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8). When you ask the Lord for anything, receive it and then begin to thank Him for His answers instead of complaining, as you do you will get everything you have asked for (Mark 11:24).

Instruction.
What is that need that makes you complain? Ask the Lord to meet that need today and begin to thank Him for His answers.

John 16:23-27, 1 Corinthians 10:10,
Philippians 4:6-7.

Doing the Word.
Whenever you are tempted to complain remember that God is already aware of your needs and the supply has already been released towards you.

God's prescriptions

Friday, May  13th
God's prescriptions.

“Moses asked the LORD for help, and the LORD told him to throw a piece of wood into the water. Moses did so, and the water became fit to drink.”
Exodus 15:25(CEV)

Who do you ask for help when you have challenges? Who is the first person you speak with when there is an emergency? In Exodus chapter 15 Moses had an emergency situation; the water that was available for the congregation of the children of Israel to drink was bitter, and they came to him complaining, demanding that he provide water for them to drink. Moses turned to no one else but the Lord, he asked the Lord for help and the Lord told him what he needed to do. This was a man that knew God as his source.

When Moses asked the Lord for help, God answered by giving him an instruction to throw a piece of wood into the water and the water became fit to drink. No matter the challenge you may be having today, go to  God and he will show you what you need to do.

Kenneth Copeland Ministry owed about six million dollars at a particular time, so he went to the Lord in prayer, and the Lord told him to start tithing 10 percent of their ministry income and as they did they prospered and came out of debt. This meant that they were in lack because they were not tithing. Are you tithing? God may have told you and showed you visions of the great things He will do with your life but if you are not meeting His requirements for you, you will still be stranded. You have to follow God's principles for prosperity for you to experience His full blessings in your finances.

Prayer.
Dear Father, show me what I need to stop doing that is sabotaging my progress and show me what I need to start doing to amplify the manifestation of your blessings in my life and all that has to do with me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Who is your source?

Who is your source?
Thursday, May  12th

“His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the full knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.”
2 Peter 1:3(ISV)

For you to put your trust in any man to meet your needs, your heart has already departed from the Lord. There is no man who has the capacity to meet all your needs, demands and requirements. Only God has the capacity to supply all your needs, demands and all that you require for life and godliness. When you have such knowledge of God, you will not look to man or consider any man as your source.

The children of Israel lacked such knowledge of God when they were in the wilderness so they murmured against Moses because they thought he was their source. The Bible says in Exodus 15:24, “And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?” This is the reason many are in shortage today because they are seeing a man or the government as their source.

How do you know you are beginning to see someone as your source? You will get offended when they do not meet your needs. Your father is not your source neither is the government your source. God never intended for your father or the government to be your source. They can only do the best that they can, so settle this in your heart today that it is only God that can meet all your needs when you do, you will always have your needs meet.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I am confident that all my needs, demands and all I require for life and godliness have already been supplied by your divine power, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Do not trust money

Wednesday, May 11th
Do not trust money.

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;”
1 Timothy 6:17

Today, I want to charge you according to the Word of God not to put your hope and trust in money which is referred to in our opening scripture as uncertain riches. When you put your trust in money, you are putting confidence in an unstable foundation.

Your faith should not be in the value of the currency of your nation in the international market. No matter the value of the naira as against the dollar, I will still live life at God's level because my faith is not in money but in the living God, who gives me freely all things to enjoy.

I heard of a church in Zimbabwe who inspite of the economic downturn in that nation was able to build one of the finest churches in the world, and they are also on television in many nations. How were they able to do that in the midst of the recession they were having in that nation? That is what I am teaching you today; their hope and confidence was not in money. Today that church is so prosperous that Americans listen to that dear minster because of the results the Word of God has produced in his ministry.

The question I will like to ask you in the midst of the economic challenges in our day is this, “who is your God?” For me, my God is not a Nigerian. The Bible says that God is a Spirit (John 4:24) therefore the economic challenges in the world does not affect the economy of my God, therefore since I am hooked to God's economy I will continue to prosper and do well no matter what is happening around me. My path is the path of the righteous and it shines more and more unto the perfect day. Praise God.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to my faith in Proverbs 4:18 that my path is the path of the just and it shines more and more unto the perfect day. I am making unhindered progress by the power of God's Spirit. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 23:4-5, Proverbs 11:28, Jeremiah 9:23-24.

Doing the Word

Where is your trust?

Tuesday, May  10th
Where is your trust?

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; …”
Jeremiah 17:5-6

If you do not make God your source, you will miss your opportunities. Our opening scripture shows us that the man who does not make God is source will not see when good comes. Therefore, the day you begin to put your trust in any man for your well being, that is the day you began to empower yourself to fail. You will be empowered to prosper no matter the economic situation when all your trust is in God as your source and only resource.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 say, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” The Bible shows us that when God is your source, you will not experience financial heat. So the reason many are experiencing financial heat is because their salary is their source. Now that the salary has not been paid they are now stranded.

Do not depend on your salary or the government as your source. Make God your source because when God is your source, He will meet your needs and keep you financially buoyant even in the year of drought. This is what God wants to do for you so I encourage you to release your faith for this, stop complaining, turn your trust away from every man and rely solely on God. Put His Word in your mouth and let Him guide you into a life of abundance.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I turn away from trusting man and the arm of the flesh. I put my trust and faith in you as my source and only resource. Teach me how to profit in these days and give me ideas that will fetch me an income for a lifetime, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 34:8-10, Psalm 118:8-9.

Doing the Word

Righteous heritage

Righteous heritage.
Monday, May  9th

“For to the person who pleases Him God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and heaping up, that he may give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after the wind and a feeding on it.” Ecclesiastes 2:26(AMP)

Our opening scripture shows us the reality of the wealth transfer that we should expect to come to us who are serving God in truth. Poverty is not a reflection of holiness. That is why when you study the Bible, you will discover that all those who walked closely with God in righteousness were not poor, but their association with God made them rich and very prosperous. For example the father of faith, Abraham (See Genesis 13:2), secondly, Job (See Job 1:1-3), thirdly Isaac (See Genesis 26:12-14), fourthly Jacob (See Genesis 31:1-9) the list goes on and on.

Therefore, if you are serving the Lord righteously open your heart for abundance. God rewards your service to Him with abundance because He takes pleasure in your prosperity. According to the scriptures, the wealth most of these unbelievers are gathering today will be given to you.

Proverbs 13:22(GNB) says, “Good people will have wealth to leave to their grandchildren, but the wealth of sinners will go to the righteous.” For you to have wealth that will get to your grand children it means you are going to have abundance. The Bible also shows in this verse that wealth transference is coming to you. Amen.

Confession.
Father in the Name of Jesus I declare by faith according to your word in Proverbs 13:22, that I will leave an inheritance to my grand children and the wealth of sinners will come to me. By this blessing I declare that properties are going to be delivered to me for free and when I have to buy anything, I will get it cheaper than the price people pay for them. Amen.

Giving and receiving 2

Giving and receiving 2.
Sunday, May 8th
“I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Acts 20:35

Our Lord Jesus said that, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The Contemporary English Version puts it this way, “… "More blessings come from giving than from receiving."” So the person who is more blessed is the giver. So, the giver will always be more blessed than those who do not give.

The level at which you give today is a prediction of where you will be placed tomorrow. The earlier you learn these principles and begin to practice them the more blessings you will experience in your future. In 2007, I met an old friend who grew up in the same church with me. When we were younger, we made vows for our church building but he gave more than most of us at that time. When I met him in 2007, it was eleven years after we gave for our church building and he was obviously prosperous, then God reminded me of his giving in his younger days. His giving as a young man strategically positioned

him in life. That inspired me to become a more radical giver at that time because I saw that it was actually my responsibility to create a more prosperous future for myself by my giving. I encourage you to do the same because more blessings come from giving than from receiving.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you teach me to number my days that I might apply my heart unto wisdom, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Giving and Receiving 1

Saturday,  May 7th
Giving and receiving 1.

“Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:15-19

The Apostle Paul declared “… my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Why did he make this declaration and to whom? He made that declaration over the Macedonian Church in response to the seed they sowed into his life. This teaches us a principle of scripture that the way out of your need is a seed. The blessing of the Lord is a harvest, and every harvest is preceded by a seed.

The Macedonian church did not give just because they had so much they could part with; they gave because they had come to know God as their source. Giving was their lifestyle even when they were in need. The Bible shows us this in 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, “Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because I am excelling also in this grace that was upon the Macedonian Church. I have received grace to be a cheerful, joyous and prompt to do it giver, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word

You and your prosperity

Friday, May 6th
You and your prosperity.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Mathew 6:33

To walk in financial abundance, you will have to rearrange your priorities. Your priorities determine your prosperity and your possessions. Therefore, if you are not prospering and living in abundance, it is important you ask yourself this question, “Is God truly first in my life?”

2 Chronicles 26:5 says, “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.” Prosperity is a personal matter. You determine your prosperity as you choose to prioritize the kingdom of God in your life.

Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” This shows you again that your prosperity is your responsibility, so if you are not prospering, it is your fault. So if you prioritize the Word of God by keeping it in your mouth and doing it every day, you will prosper. This principle is as sure as the law of gravity.

James 1:25(CEV) says, “But you must never stop looking at the perfect law that sets you free. God will bless you in everything you do, if you listen and obey, and don't just hear and forget.”

Why should you tithe?

Thursday, May  5th
Why should you tithe?

“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”
Malachi 3:8-10

One practical way which shows that you truly recognize God as your source is tithing. Do you tithe? If you do not tithe the Bible says you are robbing God. Your tithe is ten percent of every increase that you receive financially. We give it to the Lord as an act of worship and honour to Him as the source of the increase we received in the first place.

When you give your tithe, you activate financial abundance and the rest of what you have left will be preserved from loss. Malachi 3:11-12 says, “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Tithing is not an Old Testament practice because it existed before the Old Testament began. Abraham the Father of faith tithed; therefore we who are children of Abraham ought to tithe because it activates financial abundance and it is a physical demonstration of our faith in God as our source. See Genesis 14:19-20.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I choose to recognize you and you alone as my source and only resource. Therefore, I choose to be a doer of your Word by committing to tithing faithfully from this day forward. As I do, may all the blessings of a tither become evident in my life and in all I lay my hands to do, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

The Blessing

Wednesday, May  4th
The blessing.

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 10:22

To access financial abundance, you must recognize God as your source and only resource. According to Deuteronomy 8:18, He is the One that gives you the power to get wealth. If you look to a man as your source you are limited. It becomes worse for you if the man dies. Never look to any man as your source in your heart because the resource of man is not constant.

The only constant source for your financial abundance is God. That constant source is the blessing of the Lord. The blessing of the Lord on your life is a force. It is the supernatural empowerment to get wealth. There are people who always prosper in whatever they lay their hands to do, what makes it so for them? It is the blessing of the Lord. Those who do not have the blessing of the Lord upon them, no matter how hard they try, they always fail because they are operating under the curse.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no  sorrow or painful toil with it. When the blessing is on your life, it will make you to succeed without stress. The blessing will empower you to do big things in such a way that others will be able to recognize that it is God that is doing it. In other words, the blessing will cause you to do things that are beyond your natural ability. That is what will be evident in your life when the blessing is at work.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, by my faith in the Word of God, I declare according to Galatians 3:13-14, that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, being made a curse for me: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come upon me. Therefore, I declare that I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Amen.

Galatians 3:6-9, Isaiah 51:1-2, Acts 3:26.

Doing the Word

God wants you to prosper

Tuesday, May  3rd
God wants you to prosper.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
Psalm 35:27

God is happy when you prosper. Therefore, you must realize that God wants you to prosper. It is not His will for you to keep on struggling to make ends meet for the rest of your life. So, for you to access financial abundance, you must change your thinking. Say aloud to yourself, “God wants me to prosper.”

There are people who believe God hates them because of the bad things they have done in the past. Not so, the Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” This means that God loves you and sent Jesus to pay for all the bad things you did. Now, if you believe in Jesus you would have everlasting life and will not come to condemnation, but anyone who refuses to accept Christ will perish.

Jesus Christ is God's remedy to all human problems. He will take your sin and give you righteousness. He will take your poverty and give you riches. He will take your worry and fear and give you peace. Whatever the problem may be, Jesus has the answer. Therefore, renew your mind today that God wants you to prosper. Praise God.

Life in Abundance

Monday, May 2nd
Life in abundance.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10

According to our opening scripture, God wants us to have life more abundantly. The word abundantly in the Greek means, to overflow, superfluous, etc. Therefore, when we are talking about abundance we are talking about having more than enough.

John 10:10 in the Amplified Bible says, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” God does not steal from you, neither does He kill or destroy, instead He wants you to have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

The Bible lets you know who kills; he is the thief, satan, the devil. Therefore, it is when God withdraws His grace from a person that the devil can destroy that life. The Bible lets us know in Exodus 12:23 that the Lord stopped the destroyer from slaying the children of Israel, but He did not prevent the destroyer from slaying the Egyptians.

God's grace preserved the children of Israel from the destroyer. That same grace is upon you today if you are born again and it will preserve both you and your household from the destroyer and every financial drought in the land. According to the Word of God in Luke 10:19, nothing shall by any means hurt you. Amen.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me zoe; your very life and nature. By Your life in me, I am preserved from the destroyer, and nothing shall by any means hurt me all my days; in my going out and coming in, in the city or in the field, in my laying down and rising up. I live life in abundance; to the full, till it overflows, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Financial Abundance

Sunday, May 1st
Financial abundance.

“And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:17-18

In this month's devotional you will be learning about financial abundance and how to access it according to the Word of God. What is finance? Finance is the art and science of making money, spending, monitoring, saving and managing it. Finance also means money available or belonging to a government, business, group or person. What is abundance? Abundance can be referred to as more than enough. Therefore, we will be focusing on how to have more than enough in our finances.

Why does God want you to have more than enough? God wants you to have more than enough in your finance as a Christian because He wants you to be able to help the poor. This is important because one way you can help the poor is by not becoming one of them.

Therefore, if you are a child of God reading this today I want you to know that it is God's will for you to prosper even in your finances. Stop seeing  yourself as the poor. You are not the poor. You have already been made rich and abundantly supplied in Christ. That should be your mentality and the way you see yourself because that is your true identity in Christ according to the scriptures. See 3 John 1:2, 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I choose to see myself as you have made me in Christ. I declare according to the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, for though He was rich, yet for my sake He became poor, that I through His poverty might be rich. I declare that I am rich and I daily abound in all good things, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
