Your love walk

Wednesday, November 30th,
Your love walk.

“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”
1 John 3:14

Walking in love will cause you to remain in health. Be quick to forgive others and do not store up bitterness in your heart. Bitterness will produce sickness in your body.

When you got born again, you moved from the realm of death into the realm of life. The realm of love is the realm of life. So live within the confines of love. When you are living in hatred or bitterness that is death at work in you.

John 5:24 says, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” This means that the man that is not born again is in the realm of death; and sickness is incipient death. Sickness is the law of death at work in the human body. Sickness will definitely lead to death if it is not checked. But if you are born again, you have passed from the realm of death into life.

In this realm of life where you dwell, “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.” Therefore, the only way you can open the door to death is by choosing not to walk in love. When you walk in bitterness and unforgiveness, you will begin to experience death in your body. So choose to walk in love and you will sustain yourself in health.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I commit my heart to love like you because Your love has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost who lives in me, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Praise your way out.

Tuesday,  November 29th.
Praise your way out.

“He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalm 113:9

Maintaining an attitude of praise and worship can also sustain you in health. In case you may be wondering how, I will like to share with you the story of a woman who was sixty years old and had never had a child. So she went on a seven days praise, to praise God for seven hours stretch daily.

This woman with that strong passion in her heart kept to that devotion in praise to God daily for seven hours at a stretch. As a result she got pregnant without knowing. She did not know because at her age, she was no longer seeing her period anymore. So there was no way she could have known by missing her period.  Biologically, there was no period anymore, so there was no way for her to have been pregnant because she was in menopause. Yet God has a different report, “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalm 127:3.

Therefore, since she was pregnant, she started adding weight. Her husband not knowing she was pregnant started telling her to consider going to the gym so that she can be doing some exercises to keep fit.

Nine months after she got pregnant, on a certain day, she started feeling like easing herself so she went to the bathroom. As she sat down and pushed thinking she wanted to ease herself, it was the head of a baby that came out, immediately she called out to her husband and she was rushed to the hospital and that sixty year old woman gave birth to her baby. The principle she applied was praise.

Therefore, you can also change that hopeless situation in your life by your praise.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank You for the efficacy of praise, as I give you the sacrifice of praise; giving glory to Your name. May that which has been called impossible happen with ease as a testimony of Your greatness and grace, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Spirit guidance.

Monday, November 28th.
Spirit guidance.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
Romans 8:26-27

What do you do when you are faced with a condition and you do not seem to know what is causing it? Let me give you an instance of what I mean; there was a particular baby cereal that was popular especially among wealthy families. So, when we had our child it was recommended for us to use it for her, and we started feeding her with it. After some time, we discovered that she began to have rashes. We did not know what was causing the rashes so I decided to spend time praying in tongues because of it. While I was praying in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit told me that the reason for the rashes was because of the cereal my daughter was eating. She was reacting to the food.

Since we had found the problem, I went back in prayer again and asked the Father to guide me to know what we should feed our daughter with, and He told me. So, we discontinued the other cereal, bought that which the Lord led us to get for her and there were no more rashes.

So, if you are dealing with a condition you do not understand, spend time praying in other tongues about it and expect the Lord to speak to your heart; letting you know what is causing the condition and what you need to do to completely eliminate it. As you do, your health will be perfectly restored. Praise God.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank You because Your Spirit guides me in the affairs of this life and brings to my knowledge secrets that will help me live my life in comfort and health, both for me and my loved ones, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Life from the Spirit.

Sunday, November 27th.
Life from the Spirit.

“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
Romans 8:10-11

I heard the story of a lady who was paralyzed. So some believers got together and decided to get her filled with the Holy Spirit, the moment she got filled with the Holy Spirit she stood up and walked. Though the reason they got her filled with the Holy Spirit was not for healing but when she God filled with the Holy Spirit she got healed. Why? The answer is found in our opening scripture, the Spirit of God quickens; that is He gives life to your mortal body.

Therefore, if you are filled with the Holy Spirit and you speak in other tongues you can actually keep yourself in health that way. That is one of the ways to maintain your health.

Time spent in prayer especially praying in the Spirit in other tongues will help to vitalize your mortal body. It will repair your tissues and keep you in health. This is because whenever you are praying in tongues you are stirring up the anointing of the Holy Spirit in you and that anointing has the ability to heal the sick and destroy all the works of the devil.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for the benefit You have given to me in praying in tongues. As I speak in tongues today I thank you for the work of Your Spirit perfecting my body in health and wholeness, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Depart from evil.

Saturday,  November 26th.
Depart from evil.

“Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.”
Psalm 107:17

Another important principle for you to be mindful of if you are going to maintain a life of health is for you to avoid sin and walk in the fear of God.

Proverbs 3:7-8 says, “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”

Proverbs 19:23 says, “The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.” Sickness is evil, but when you walk in the fear of the Lord, you will not be visited with any form of evil.

Living in sin will break the hedge around you and make you vulnerable to satanic attacks. This is because you cannot be living in sin and be walking in righteousness at the same time, according to the Bible in Ephesians 6:14; righteousness is your breastplate. Secondly, you cannot be living in sin and be walking by faith at the same time, according to the Bible in Ephesians 6:16; faith is your shield without which you would not be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked. Therefore, when your breastplate is not in place and your shield is not in place, you are unprotected and vulnerable to attacks. So, I encourage you to depart from all evil.

Feed your spirit.

Friday, November 25th.
Feed your spirit.

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”
Psalm 42:11

Your personal devotion can help you to remain in health. Time spent in the Word of God; reading, studying and meditating will make your spirit strong. Having a strong spirit will cause you to be immune to all forms of sicknesses and diseases.

Time spent with God will keep you in health. I heard the story of a minister of the gospel who was sick and he had to take some time to rest. One day as he studied the Bible, by the ministry of the Holy Spirit to him, he discovered that he had not been feeding himself. So, he was only studying to get good messages to preach to others but he was not feeding his own spirit with the nourishment that came from the Word.

Practice Proverbs 4:20-22 because you are as healthy as your study life. “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

Creflo Dollar was diagnosed with prostrate cancer some years back. After he told his wife, he locked himself up for seven days; seven times in a day he will confess the Word of God then he would watch Gloria Copeland's healing school videos and read healing scriptures from the Bible, listen to healing messages and healing scriptures. In seven days maintaining that routine bombarding himself with healing scriptures, confessions, messages, videos, they did not find prostrate cancer in his body anymore. That is what will happen to you when you feed your spirit; every trace of sickness will disappear.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I take personal responsibility today to feed myself with Your Word, as I do, Your Word gives life and health to all my being, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 3:5-8, Proverbs 4:4,10,  Jeremiah 33:6.

Doing the Word.
Give as much attention as you can to feeding your spirit until you get the result you desire.

No more allergies.

Thursday,  November 24th.
No more allergies.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2

The second principle for you to apply to stay in health; is to renew your mind to God's Word. How do you do this? Spend time hearing the Word of God and meditating on the scriptures, this will transform your life and renew your mind and your way of thinking.

Renewing your mind with the Word of God can heal you of allergies. When I was growing up, I use to be allergic to a lot of things. I could not stand seeing a dust bin. If I saw one I would have goose bumps all over my body. Also, I reacted to a lot of things; for instance, if I wear certain materials my body would swell. I continued to live with these allergies and sensitivity until my mind was renewed by the Word of God.

Many years ago, I listened to a message by Kenneth Copeland that completely transformed my thinking. He recommended in that message that if you are having allergies you would have to renew your mind with the Word of God, so that your emotions can be  healed. Therefore, as I practiced renewing my mind with the Word of God I was completely healed from all the allergies I use to have. Now I am no more allergic to anything. That is what renewing your mind with the Word of God can do for you. So, I encourage you to renew your mind by the Word, it will heal your emotions and it will heal your body. Praise God.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare by my faith that I am complete in Christ. I am completely whole in my spirit and my heart. I am completely whole in my soul; my mind, will and emotions. I am completely whole in my body; my immune system, skin, bones, cells, tendons, tissues, nerves and all my internal and external organs. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 1:26-27, Psalm 139:14, Colossians 2:10.

Doing the Word.
Depending on the kind of allergy you had, you will need to renew your mind with certain scriptures; if the allergy was as a result of emotional abuse, pain from past experiences or depression, you will need to renew your mind with the following scriptures preferably read from the Amplified version, Proverbs 12:25, Proverbs 15:13, 15, Proverbs 17:22, Luke 4:18(Jesus heals the brokenhearted). Food allergies renew your mind with 1 Timothy 4:4-5. Fear allergies renew your mind with Psalm 34:4, 2 Timothy 1:7.

Enjoy good health.

Wednesday, November 23rd.
Enjoy good health.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 2

The word translated health in our opening scripture is from the Greek word 'hugiaino.' Hugiaino means to have sound health, to be well in body, to be uncorrupted, to be whole, etc. This means that God wants you to remain in health and also enjoy good health.

Many years ago, God defined disease for me as 'distorted ease'. That means when someone is diseased, their body is not at peace because something had gone wrong in their body and is out of order. That is not God's will for you. Instead, He wants you to prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

So, beginning from today I will be sharing with you some principles you can apply in your life that will keep you in health.

First of these principles is for you to maintain a healthy mind. This is important because toxic thoughts will produce toxic conditions in your body. What are toxic thoughts? These are thoughts of unbelief, fear, worry, bitterness, revenge, etc.

Therefore, keep your mind free from these toxic thoughts and you will enjoy good health because most sicknesses begin with wrong thinking. Therefore, the condition of your mind will affect your body and your health.

Prayer.
Dear Father, in obedience to Your Word to me today, I lay aside every weight of negativity, anxiety, fear and all depressing thoughts, I cast them all upon you, and I receive by faith Your peace to guard my heart and mind, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Romans 8:6, Colossians 3:1-2, Colossians 3:15-17.

Doing the Word.
Stop thinking thoughts of fear, worry and unbelief.

Tuesday 22 November 2016

Have a definite expectation.

Tuesday, November 22nd.
Have a definite expectation.

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”
Mark 10:51-52

If you believe God for healing it is important for you to have definite expectations. Having a definite expectation makes your healing spontaneous.

For instance, in the case of the man that was impotent in his feet in Acts 14:7-10, the Bible lets us know that he heard Paul speak and Paul steadfastly beholding him perceived that he had faith to be healed said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.” Notice the point of contact, when Paul knew the man had faith to be healed and commanded him to stand upright, the man did not say, “I am paralyzed.” No he leaped and walked. His healing was spontaneous because he had a definite expectation.

Therefore if you want to be healed, have a definite expectation and release your faith for that healing. How do you release your faith? By your action; do what you could not do because you believe you have been healed.

Jesus saw a man that was born with a withered hand (deformed hand) in Luke 6:6-10 and He said to him, “Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.” Notice the man did not say, “My hand is deformed.” No, he stretched forth his hand as he was commanded and he was healed spontaneously.

Prayer for healing.
Right now on account of the authority of the Name of Jesus, I break satan's power over your spirit, your mind and your body. I curse every affliction of the devil over your life no matter the name to which it is called and I command that spirit of infirmity to come out of your body right now, in the Name of Jesus. I declare you cleansed and whole through all your being right now. Be healed in your body, in your skin, in your blood, in your organs, in your mind, and I command every oppression to cease right now. In Jesus Name. Amen. Now go ahead and do what you could not do before.

For further study, read:
Mark 5:27-34, Luke 17:12-19, Luke 18:35-43.

Doing the Word.
Keep thanking God for your healing and wholeness.

Healing is God's will.

Monday, November 21st.
Healing is God's will.

“When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
Matthew 8:1-3

From our opening scripture we see from the response of Jesus to the leper that came to Him for healing that healing is God's will. The leper said, “Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean.”

You do not need to suffer anymore in your pain or sickness because Jesus is willing to heal you. The Bible says in Matthew 14:14, “And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”

No matter how hopeless the situation may be it is not impossible for Jesus to change. The Bible shows us this in Luke 7:12-16, “Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.”

That same Jesus is visiting you today because, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8. It is still His will to heal you today, therefore, release your faith for your healing and receive his healing touch right now wherever you are and be made whole in Jesus Name. Amen.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed and I remain in divine health. Amen.

For further study, read:
Matthew 11:4-5, Matthew 12:15, Luke 7:21-22.

Doing the Word.
Stop complaining, start praising God concerning your healing and health.

The healing ministry.

Sunday, November 20th.
The healing ministry.

“And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.”
Matthew 4:24

In the ministry of Jesus which we have been called to perpetuate today, sickness and demonic oppression are all grouped under the healing ministry. This means that the same anointing that heals the sick is the same anointing that drives out devils.

A young man was brought to our healing school one time that had insanity issues. I laid hands on him; casting out that unclean devil and he was cured. He came to church afterwards and testified on a Sunday service concerning his healing. Praise God.

Therefore, I want you to know that the same anointing that drives out the pain will also drive out the spiritual husband because the healing anointing also brings deliverance to the oppressed.

The healing anointing does not only heal the sick, it cast out devils as well.

This was also evident in the lives of the Apostles as seen in Acts 5:16, “There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”

Confession.
By my faith in the Name of Jesus and who I am in Christ, I declare that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Amen.

For further study, read:
Luke 4:18-19, Acts 10:38, Acts 19:11-12.

Doing the Word.
You can bring deliverance to the oppressed in the same way you pray for the sick to be healed.

Faith and healing.

Saturday, November 19th.
Faith and healing.

“And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;”        Luke 6:17

Our opening scripture shows us that Jesus always puts the Word first before ministering to the sick. This is the same principle we follow when we have our healing school or healing meetings; we put the Word of God first so that the faith of the people can be built up for them to be able to receive.

Therefore, whenever you want to pray for the sick, bring them the Word of God first, especially if you want them to have permanent healing. As they receive the Word of God and faith is cultivated in their hearts, they will be able to receive their healing by their faith. Why is this important? It is important because if they receive their healing by faith, they will be able to keep it by faith.

When you receive your miracle or healing by your faith, you cannot lose it. When you receive your healing by corporate faith, then you must build your faith afterwards with the Word of God to be able to keep or sustain your healing. You keep whatever God gives you by your faith. Therefore if you have no faith, it becomes difficult to sustain or keep whatever you received from God. This is why some people loose their healing; it is because they did not build their faith after they got healed.

Confession.
By my faith in the finished works of Jesus Christ, I declare that all that Jesus accomplished for me in His death, burial and resurrection is mine, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Matthew 9:28-30, Matthew 15:25-28, Mark 10:46-52.

Doing the Word.
Always learn to exercise your faith in what you believe in the Word of God.

Friday 18 November 2016

Act on your faith.

Friday, November 18th.
Act on your faith.

“And there they preached the gospel. And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.”
Acts 14:7-10

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. That is what we see in our opening scripture. The crippled man heard the gospel and faith was stirred in his heart for his healing. When Paul saw that the man had faith to be healed he commanded him to stand up and he leaped and walked. This shows us that when you have faith, you act on what you believe.

Therefore, if you say you have faith to be healed and hands are laid on you or someone prays for you, what you need to do at that point is to begin to act out your faith and immediately begin to do what you could not do before.

“And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.” Mark 2:2-5, 11-12.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I believe in the infallibility of the Word of God. Therefore I confess that God is who He says He is and He can do what He says He can do. I am what God says I am, I have what God says I have and I can do what God says I can do. By the stripes of Jesus I am healed. Amen.

Speak the Word of God.

Thursday, November 17th.
Speak the Word of God.

“A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:20-21

To maintain a healthy lifestyle, you must learn to speak the Word of God constantly to yourself and your body. Do not wait until you are sick before you begin to confess the Word of God concerning your health and well being. Speaking the Word of God concerning your health should be a habitual practice to you. This would also help to sustain you in health.

I want you to notice from our opening scripture that death and life are in the power of the tongue and sickness is incipient death. So, if you are always speaking negatively concerning your body or your health that is what you will get.

When you study the book of Job, you will notice that even though he was living morally upright, he was always making the wrong confession and that was what opened the door for satan to afflict him. He said, “What I fear most overtakes me. What I dread happens to me. I have no peace! I have no quiet! I have no rest! And trouble keeps coming!"” Job 3:25-26(GW) Like Job, stop confessing your fears because it is what you are confessing you are creating for yourself.

Make your tongue and your words a healing instrument; you do that by speaking the Word of God to your body and any unpleasant situation because the Word of God in your mouth has the capacity to deal with any unfavorable situation or circumstance from the root. Therefore let your tongue speak life not death.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I speak life over my life; I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. I live my days in prosperity and health. Goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. Blessings overtake me. All my days are days of peace. In my path there is no death. The number of my days I will fulfill and be continually fruitful all my days. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 15:4, Proverbs 12:18, Proverbs 16:24.

Doing the Word.
Anything you do not want to see established in your life, stop confessing it about you. Use your words to bless yourself and all that concerns you.

Do not lie.

Wednesday, November 16th.
Do not lie.

“A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue breaks the spirit.”
Proverbs 15:4(GW)

I discovered from observation and from the scriptures that those who lie a lot, would always be sick. Lying will weaken your spirit and make you susceptible to sickness.

I use to know a guy during my days in the university though he is late now. While we were in school he was always telling lies and he was known to be a liar. Also, I observed that he was always sick. We prayed for him many times yet he was still very sickly. One day, after I discovered Proverbs 15:4 I spoke to him and told him that the reason why he was always sick was because of his constant lying. Lying breaks the spirit.

What is a lie? A lie is the distortion and perverseness of truth. A lie is half truth and half truth is a whole lie. Speak the truth; as a worker, do not lie to your boss. As a child do not lie to your parents. As a husband or a wife do not lie to your spouse. It will affect your health negatively.
Proverbs 11:3 says, “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I commit to a life of integrity; I receive grace to live a life of truth; speaking truth, living truly and dealing truly in all my dealings to the glory of God, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 28:18, Colossians 3:9-10,

Personal hygiene.

Tuesday, November 15th.
Personal hygiene.

“Set up a place outside the camp to be used as a toilet area. And make sure that you have a small shovel in your equipment. When you go out to the toilet area, use the shovel to dig a hole. Then, after you relieve yourself, bury the waste in the hole. You must keep your camp clean of filthy and disgusting things. The LORD is always present in your camp, ready to rescue you and give you victory over your enemies. But if he sees something disgusting in your camp, he may turn around and leave.”
Deuteronomy 23:12-14(CEV)

In maintaining a healthy lifestyle, your personal hygiene must become important to you. You are a steward of your body. Your body is an instrument in the earth. So, you have to care for it so it can function properly and effectively for a long time.

Personal hygiene is much more than wearing a deodorant. You must also learn to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing properly because the freshness of your breath is the ambassador of your words.

Also, bathe properly, preferably twice a day because of the heat and the sweat that may have accumulated on your skin throughout the day, this will prevent skin diseases and body odour.

Wash your clothes. Do not continue wearing your clothes over and over again without laundering them. Preferably wear your clothing once before washing them. These personal hygiene habits would help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle, ward off illness and help you feel good about yourself.

It is also important to wash your hands often especially before and while preparing food, before eating, after using the bathroom, after handling garbage, etc. as this will help keep your hands free from bacteria and germs.

Confession.
Dear Father, I choose to commit to taking proper care of the body you gave me and to present my body to You as a living sacrifice pure and holy as my reasonable service. Amen.

Watch your diet.

Monday, November 14th.
Watch your diet.

“Don't associate with people who drink too much wine or stuff themselves with food.”
Proverbs 23:20(GNB)

Many people do not know that their diet can affect their health positively or negatively. What you eat can make you sick or keep you in health. Do not feed yourself with junk food. Isaiah 55:2(MSG) says, “Why do you spend your money on junk food, your hard-earned cash on cotton candy? Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best, fill yourself with only the finest.”

If you want to stay healthy, you must maintain a healthy diet. Minimize your intake of foods and drinks that contain caffeine; apart from it been used as a stimulant, it provides no nutritional value. The side effects of caffeine can lead to heartburn, increased blood pressure, headaches, etc.

Also, minimize your intake of junk food otherwise known as fast foods and processed foods; such foods can lead to obesity in children and adults, including heart diseases and diabetes. These chronic diseases can be averted in our lives if we choose to eat healthy.

Are you aware that Quaker oats is good for your brain to enhance memory? It can also help to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart diseases. Do not fall for the temptation to neglect your diet because you are young, paying attention to your diet now will cause you to be smarter, healthier and sound mentally even as you advance in age.

Instruction.
Exercise moderation and self control in matters pertaining to food and drink.

For further study, read:
Genesis 9:3, Daniel 1:11-16, Luke 21:34,
1 Timothy 4:8.

Doing the Word.
Cut down on junk food and then discontinue from your diet whatever may be detrimental to your health both food and drink.

Psychosoma.

Sunday, November 13th.
Psychosoma.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 2

The way you think; that is your thoughts will affect your health. In science it is called psychosoma. Psyche referring to the soul or mind and soma referring to the body. Therefore, psychosoma is referring to the influence of the mind on the body. So your current way of thinking (mental condition) is affecting your body (your health).

Unhealthy mental conditions such as stress and anxiety can affect your health and your body leading to stomach ulcers, high blood pressure and heart diseases. These physical illnesses are psychosomatic disorders and you can deal with them from the root by practicing what the Word of God says in Philippians 4:6(ALT), “Stop being anxious about anything, …”

As you stop the anxiety, your health will improve. Practice the act of meditating on the Word of God. It has been proven that meditation which is a mental activity will lower your blood pressure. Meditation will also reduce the possibility of having heart attacks, strokes and deaths from all causes.

People who habitually meditate are never going to suffer from high blood pressure. They are less likely to be affected by stress and anger. Therefore meditating on the Word of God habitually will help keep you healthy.

Instruction.
Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 23:7, Joshua 1:8, Proverbs 4:20-22.

Doing the Word.
Choose to meditate on the Word of God instead of your problems and challenges.

Do not worry.

Saturday, November 12th.
Do not worry.

“Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.”
Philippians 4:6-8(MSG)

Do you know that there are people who took drugs till they died and still did not get any better? It is because the real cause of their sickness was not dealt with. This is because for the most part, what doctors treat are symptoms they do not treat the root causes. Most of the root causes of sickness are not physical so drugs can not deal with them.

For instance, worry is one of the root causes of some sicknesses. There are people who get tooth decay from worry. Worry can eat your teeth. Some people have holes in their teeth, not from sugar but from worry. Worry can also cause ulcers. Proverbs 12:25(MSG) says, “Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up.”

Tolerating worry and anxiety in your life will open you up to the devil. Instead do what the Bible say in 1 Peter 5:7-8(AMP) and you will shut the door to all demonic attacks, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.”

Instruction.
Based on what you have learnt today, if there is anything that you have been really worried about, talk to Your loving Father about it today once and for all and stop the worry.

For further study, read:
Matthew 6:25-34, Hebrews 13:5-6, Proverbs 15:13.

Doing the Word.
Choose to be happy, thankful and praiseful instead of worrying.

Your spiritual condition.

Friday, November 11th.
Your spiritual condition.

“The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”
Proverbs 18:14

Sickness is a manifestation of the effects of a dysfunctional soul or spirit. Your spiritual condition will affect your body. So if you take care of your spirit, you will be in health. The reason why some people easily fall sick is because of their spiritual condition.

Proverbs 15:13 says, “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” Depression is a spiritual condition and it can lead to sickness. This is why there are some people who get healed after been prayed for but because they fall back into depression again, it leads to sickness again. Sorrow of the heart will rob you of your health.

Proverbs 18:14(AMP) says, “The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up or bear?” Do you know that there is a relationship between cancerous growth and bitterness? Holding unforgiveness and bitterness in your heart can open you up to cancer. That is the root that has defiled the spiritual condition of many and has made them susceptible to all kinds of sicknesses and afflictions of the devil.

Therefore I encourage you to keep your heart free from depression, unforgiveness and bitterness, but fill your heart with the Word of God.

Prayer.
Dear Father, in obedience to your Word, I let go of all bitterness and unforgiveness held against all who have wronged me, I choose to respond in love towards them according to the love of Christ that has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 12:25, Proverbs 17:22, 2 Corinthians 7:10.

Doing the Word.
Keep your heart in the love of God.

Immorality can cause sickness.

Thursday,  November 10th.
Immorality can cause sickness.

“Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it). For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one, And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burning out, consumed) with lust for one another--men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong-doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution.”
Romans 1:25-27(AMP)

Sickness is the law of sin at work in the human body. Sickness is the effect of sin manifested in the human body. You will notice in our opening scripture that because of the sins men committed, they suffered in their bodies the consequences and penalties of their wrong doing.

When you do your research on HIV, you will discover that HIV was first found among homosexuals.

So HIV came in as a result of sin and a judgment for sexual perversion. For instance, there is a rise right now in America of HIV amongst black women, this concern caused a research to be carried out which revealed that most of those women were having relations with men that have been involved in homosexual relationships. So they contracted HIV from those men.

Sin; especially sexual sins and perversion produces negative consequences. Therefore, I encourage you to keep yourself pure and free from these diseases.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you cause your love to abound in my heart more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; that I may approve things that are excellent; so that I may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Dear Father, I ask that you cause your love to abound in my heart more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; that I may approve things that are excellent; so that I may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Doing the Word.
Repent and turn away from all immoral acts.

Sin can cause sickness.

Wednesday, November 9th.
Sin can cause sickness.

“Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”
John 5:14

One of the causes of sickness is sin. Judging from the beginning, before Adam sinned there was no sickness. So sin brought in sickness. This is why in our opening scripture, Jesus admonishes the man that had been healed to sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto him. Why? Sin opens the door to sickness.

In Deuteronomy 28 from verse 15, we see that when people do not obey God's commandments there are certain curses that will come upon them. These curses come on them because they sinned by not obeying the Lord's commands. I want us to look at some of these curses that sin brings in Deuteronomy 28:22, “The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, (tuberculosis) and with a fever, and with an inflammation, (swellings, growth) and with an extreme burning, (internal heat) …” (Emphasis added in bracket is mine.)

There are more sicknesses that sin can open you to found in Deuteronomy 28:27-28, “The LORD will smite thee with the botch (boils) of Egypt, and with the emerods, (tumors) and with the scab, (scurvy) and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:” (Emphasis added in bracket is mine.)

Therefore I encourage you to sin no more if you want to live in health. The remedy for sin is in  Christ Jesus. So, if you are not born again, or you are a backslider, I encourage you to pray the prayer of salvation below:

Prayer of Salvation.
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe He is the Son of God. I believe with all my heart that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I believe that You raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. With my mouth I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord, I take Him as my personal Saviour. By my faith in the blood of Jesus, I believe I receive the washing away of all my sins. By my faith in the Name of Jesus, I believe I receive eternal life into my spirit. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person from this day forward. Amen.”

Psalm 119:67, Hosea 6:1, John 5:1-14.

Doing the Word.
Choose to turn away from all wrong doings.

How to minister to the sick?

Tuesday,  November 8th.
How to minister to the sick?

“But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.”
Matthew 12:28-29

When someone is sick and oppressed, the devil is reigning over that person, whether in the leg, eyes, wherever there is an affliction, it is not an expression of the kingdom of God. That is why I hate sickness because I know its origin.

The strong man in the context of our opening scripture is satan. His goods are those under satan's authority. This is why when you want to minister to the sick, the first thing for you to do is to break satan's power over the person; For instance you will hear me say, “Satan I break your power over this person.” This is because all demons get their authority from satan. Then you have to address the devil causing the sickness and cast it out. For instance, you could hear me say, “Thou devil of infirmity in the Name of Jesus, come out of him.” This is what you have done; firstly, you have  cut off its link with its head by dealing with satan first. Then you have also dealt with the spirit or devil of infirmity by casting it out. It has to obey you because the authority of satan (his head) has been broken over that person.

It is after you have completely dealt with the spiritual condition, you can now declare healing over the person by saying, “In the Name of Jesus, be healed in your body.” It is important you do this because when the devil leaves, there could be a part of the body of the person that may have been destroyed by that oppression of the devil (sickness). So when you say for instance, “Be healed in your kidneys or in your heart.” At that point you are restoring health and wholeness to that person's body. Because to heal is to restore to normalcy what was destroyed. Therefore, whenever you want to pray for the sick, take note of these things.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for empowering me by Your Spirit to bring deliverance and healing to the hurting within my sphere of contact, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Luke 4:18-19, Luke 9:1-2, Luke 10:1-9.

Doing the Word.
Do not be afraid to pray for the sick. With confidence do as you have learnt today.

Cast out the devil.

Monday,  November 7th
Cast out the devil.

“And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.”
Luke 11:14

Our opening scripture shows us that there is a dumb and deaf devil. These are the devils responsible for dumbness and deafness. That is why whenever I am ministering to people with such conditions you will hear me say, “You devils of dumbness and deafness come out” and immediately their speech and hearing is restored.

It is this understanding that produces faith which in turn produces the results. Understand that according to the Word of God all devils are your subject so when you command them in the Name of Jesus, expect them to obey you and leave even as they obeyed Jesus.

“And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis. And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he  spit, and touched his tongue; And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;  And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.”  Mark 7:31-37.

Instruction.
Use the Name of Jesus and deal with anything that looks like an oppression of the devil around you today.

For further study, read:
Mark 16:17, Luke 10:17, Acts 16:16-18.

Doing the Word.
As you cast out devils in Jesus Name, expect them to obey you as they obeyed Jesus.

What is sickness?

Sunday, November 6th
What is sickness?

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
Acts 10:38

Sickness is an oppression of the devil. This is why you should never tolerate sickness in your body if you are a Christian because it is an oppression of the devil. Whenever you tolerate sickness and deal with it as though it is not an oppression of the devil, you open the door for the devil to afflict you.

Jesus never tolerated sickness; He always dealt with it as oppression from the devil. “And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” Luke 13:11-13, 16.

From the above, we can see that sickness, disease or infirmity is satanic bondage.

Therefore, in the Name of Jesus, I declare that you are loosed from all infirmity and oppression of the devil in your body, mind and spirit right now. Be completely made free and whole from all satanic bondage, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Instruction.
Give the Lord thanks for your healing.

For further study, read:
Matthew 8:14-17, Mark 1:34, Mark 9:25-27.

Doing the Word.
Never tolerate sickness in your body, whenever you feel any symptom of sickness no matter how small it seems, cast it out in Jesus Name. Give no place to the devil in your body.

Go for understanding.

Saturday, November 5th.
Go for understanding.

“For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”
Matthew 13:15

Jesus did more teaching than anything else. Teaching is explanation. Explanation is what leads to understanding, understanding is what produces convictions. Convictions produce faith and faith is what produces results.

Therefore, Jesus taught the people because if they are going to receive healing they must have understanding because without understanding there can be no faith and without faith you cannot receive anything from God. Whatever you do not understand you will lose. The Bible says in Matthew 13:19, “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”
You can only receive what you understand because you can only have faith for what you understand. Matthew 13:23 says, “But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Your level of understanding is what determines the measure of fruit you bear by the Word.

Instruction.
Read Ephesians 1:17 and pray the prayer for yourself, it will help to enhance your understanding of the Word of God.

For further study, read:
Psalm 119:104, Proverbs 4:5-7, Proverbs 16:16.

Word attention 2.

Friday, November 4th
Word attention 2.

“If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.” Mark 4:23-25

I was watching Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on November 22nd 2002 and I was giving my attention. As I did, the Holy Spirit spoke to me; “Take my healing power to the nations.” Though I was not the only one watching that day. There was someone by my side watching as well, but the Holy Spirit did not tell him. He was watching but at intervals he would get up to go into the kitchen because he was preparing lunch that we were to eat that afternoon. So that distraction made him give a divided attention to the ministry of the Word and the Spirit that was coming to us at that moment, but as I gave my full attention I received my healing commission that day from the Lord.

Make up your mind to give the Word of God your undivided attention. That is where encounters and impartation come from. What if I did not give the Word undivided attention that day? But thank God I did, and today many are able to glorify God because of the manifestations and demonstration of God's healing power.

Therefore your undivided attention to the Word of God today may determine the transformation in many lives tomorrow.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Job 33:14, Psalm 62:11, Matthew 13:14-15.

Word attention 1.

Thursday, November 3rd.
Word attention 1.

"My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.”
Proverbs 4:20(NIV)

Instead of giving attention to your problems and your challenges, give attention to the Word of God. See what paying attention to the Word of God will do for you in Proverbs 4:21-22(NIV), "Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one's whole body."

When you give the Word of God your whole attention, you would always get more than your expectation. Maybe you came for a meeting expecting healing for your leg, as you listen and give attention to the Word of God, your back or other parts of your body where you are sick will also be ministered to by the Word of God and be healed.

The teaching of the Word of God stirs up the healing power of God. Luke 5:17 says, "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. " Therefore when the Word of God is been taught and you give it your attention, the power of God will minister healing and complete wholeness to your whole being from the Word.

Matthew 4:23 says, "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”

Therefore as you keep giving attention to the Word of God not only will it heal you, it would also keep you in perfect health.

Lord was present to heal them.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you that as I receive your Word, it ministers healing and health to every part of my being right now, in Jesus Name. Amen.

How to receive?

Wednesday, November 2nd
How to receive?

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Hebrews 11:6

When it comes to receiving from God, faith is very vital. Faith is not negotiable when it comes to receiving from God. Therefore if you are coming to God to receive, our opening scripture tells you the condition; faith. No matter your good works and your giving, without faith it is impossible to please God or to receive anything from Him. So, the only condition required to guarantee receiving from God is faith. Therefore, your good works and your giving must be done in faith for it to please God.

You must believe that He is; He is who He says He is, and He can do what He says He can do. You must also believe that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. So you must give diligence (attentiveness) to the Word of God you hear.

Mark 4:24 says, "And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given." Therefore, you have to be careful how you hear, pay attention to what you hear. It is when you give attention and diligence to what you hear that you are able to receive much more from the Word of God.

Mark 4:24(AMP) says, "And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you--and more [besides] will be given to you who hear." So as you receive the Word of God through this month's devotional give it thought and study. Do not let anything distract you. Give the Word of God all your attention as you read it. That is what will determine the measure of power that will be manifested in your life.

This explains how two people can attend a service together and one of them would receive more than the other person. It is as a result of the measure of thought and study each individual gives to the Word.

Instruction.
Please write down your spiritual goals for this month.

For further study, read:
Psalm 119:10, Jeremiah 29:13, Matthew 6:33.

Doing the Word.
In your life, give the Word of God the attention it deserves.

He sent His Word

Tuesday, November 1st.
He sent His Word.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
Romans 10:17

In 2002 when I received my healing commission, God spoke to me letting me know that when it comes to praying for the sick the Word of God must come first.

Therefore, when I was in my final year in the university, a Pastor came to see me and began telling me of one of his members who had been sick for a long time and hospitalized. Her condition was so severe that she would pass out and come back to life again over and over again. It was a life or death issue.

At this time I had been reading and studying for my final year exams in the university and had not had enough time to pray and study the Bible as long as I wanted to. But in faith I went with him to pray for the woman who has now been taken home to die.

When we got to the house, we were ushered in to where the woman was lying down. She was so weak that she could only speak in a whisper that she had no strength. I told her not to worry that I would just teach her the Word of God and as faith comes to her from the Word I will pray and she would receive her miracle.

As I shared the Word of God with her, it got to a point; I perceived she had faith to be healed which was immediately confirmed by a Word from God that she was going to be healed from my younger brother who was with me. So, I turned to the woman lying down there looking so weak, and said, "In the Name of Jesus rise up!" Immediately she was able to sit up, she stood up and began walking, lifting up her hands and praising God. Everyone in the house that day praised God together with her.

Notice that this woman was healed by faith and faith came to her because the Word of God came first. You can change any hopeless situation you may be experiencing right now if only you learn to put the Word of God first.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I open my heart to receive the word of faith that is coming to me in this month's devotional. May Your Word bring me healing and wholeness even as I act on the Word, in Jesus Name. Amen.
