Go For Knowledge

“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness …”
Psalm 82:5

Satan's greatest threat is your knowledge of the Word of God. To be ignorant is to be vulnerable. Ignorance is darkness and knowledge is light. If satan is the prince of darkness and ignorance is darkness, it means satan rules over the ignorant.

Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee …” This means that satan's greatest weapon over you is your ignorance.

According to Hosea 4:6 people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. The word ‘destroyed’ in the Greek as used in that verse means to fail. This means that every failure is traceable to a lack of knowledge.
Until you understand your redemption and victory in Christ Jesus over satan, you will suffer under the whiplash of satan. Jesus said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 17:17 reveals that the Word of God is truth, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
Therefore, according to John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Understanding your liberty in Christ is what guarantees your liberty in life. Galatians 5:1(MSG) says, “Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you grant to me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Greater Glory

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.”
 2 Corinthians 3:7-9

According to our opening scripture, if the ministration of death in the Old Testament was glorious, how much more shall the ministration of the Spirit in the New Testament exceed in glory. This means that every good thing or the manifestation of glory manifested and experienced by anyone in the Old Testament is the least we should have.

This means, the experience of glory that Moses had in the Old Testament is the least we should have in the New Testament. The Bible says concerning Moses in Deuteronomy 34:7, “And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.” The Message Bible puts it this way, “Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eyesight was sharp; he still walked with a spring in his step.” If Moses’ eye sight was perfect and he could still walk with a spring in his steps, it means he was not feeble at 120. This reveals the least you should enjoy in the New Testament.

When I discovered this many years ago, I made up my mind that, as a child of God, I will never need to use glasses at anytime of my life even though my parents were already using glasses at that time. Therefore, if you live to be 120, expect that your eyesight would still be sharp and you will still be very strong physically because you are under a more glorious testament.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that, as I excel in years, so shall I excel in strength. My strength is daily renewed like the eagles. My eyes shall not dim and my physical strength shall never be feeble all my days. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 103:5, Isaiah 40:30-31, Job 33:24-25.

Doing the Word
Expect your strength to be renewed daily.

The Rebirth

“Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; the old [things] passed away, look!, all [things] have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17(ALT)

Our opening scripture shows us the revelation of the New Birth. It is the actual rebirth of the human spirit. We become new creatures without a past, because the old has passed away and all things have become new.

1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” So, being born again is being born of God by the action of the word upon man's spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit. A born again person is truly of divine origin. He is an offspring of God. The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: …”

Just as Jesus Christ was a child of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18), we also are born of the Spirit. John 3:5-7 say, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
If you are not born again, you can get born again right now and become a new creation in Christ, free from all your past sins and the sin nature. All you need to do is to receive the salvation gift which Jesus Christ offers to you today. The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you believe in your heart the Lord Jesus and you want to make Him your Lord and personal Saviour today, please pray the prayer below;

Prayer of Salvation.
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal saviour. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. Amen.”

Doing the Word
Now that you are born again, you are a child of God and the ability of God is in you to live the Christian life.

Abide in the truth

“Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the LORD God had made… The snake replied, "That's not true; you will not die. God said that because he knows that when you eat it, you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad." Genesis 3:1, 4-5(GNB)

I want you to know that it was satan who spoke through the snake to the woman in our opening scripture. We know this because satan is always rebellious against the Word of God. He loves to question the integrity of the Word of God, and by so doing, corrupt the heart of his prey with doubt and then lure them with his deceitfulness and their lust.

Satan's primary aim is to see to it that you doubt the Word of God. This is because he knows that when you start doubting the Word of God, you will become vulnerable to deception.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12(GW), the Bible says, “He will use everything that God disapproves of to deceive those who are dying, those who refused to love the truth that would save them. That's why God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie. Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned.”

It is important you know that every step away from the Word of God is a step into deception. So, do not doubt the Word of God you have heard, read and received into your heart.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you will cause me to stand firm and hold on to the truths which I have been taught in this devotional. May I be strengthened with your grace with unfailing courage and a firm hope. May I be enabled by You to always abide in the truth in thoughts, words and deeds, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Grow up spiritually.

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;”
Galatians 4:1

From today's opening scripture, we see that if the heir to an inheritance is a child, he is not different from a servant. The word 'child' is from the Greek word 'nepios.' This implies; “one that is an infant or an immature Christian who is untaught in the Word of God.” So, as long as you remain a spiritual infant who is untaught in the Word of God, you are not different from a servant.

Notice the clause in our opening scripture, “… as long as he is a child …” This means that you can remain a child as long as you want. As long as you are not feeding on the Word of God, you will remain a child spiritually, notwithstanding how long you have been born again. This is why I encourage you today to begin to take your spiritual growth seriously because if you do not grow spiritually, you will be unable to enjoy your inheritance.

Secondly, the word 'lord' in Galatians 4:19, refers to a sovereign; one that is supreme in authority. In other words, the baby Christian is an heir to all the authority that God has, but he is still like a servant because he is still a child (an infant), one that is untaught in the Word of God.

This explains why some Christians pray sometimes and do not see results. It is because they are untaught in the Word of God. They are unlearned and unskilled in the knowledge and the usage of the Word of righteousness to get results. This is why Ephesians 4:14-15(WNT) admonish us saying, “So we shall no longer be babes nor shall we resemble mariners tossed on the waves and carried about with every changing wind of doctrine according to men's cleverness and unscrupulous cunning, making use of every shifting device to mislead. But we shall lovingly hold to the truth, and shall in all respects grow up into union with Him who is our Head, even Christ.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, today I recommit my heart to your Word. As I feed on Your Word daily, may my heart be good ground for Your Word and let the Word produce in my life what it talks about always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Get Your Heart Right

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh."
Proverbs 4:20-22

Speaking the right words will cause God's life to dominate you, and keep you in health. This is why God shows us how to maintain such quality of life in Proverbs 4:23 which says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." The Good News Bible renders it this way, "Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts." This shows that the way you are thinking decides what you believe, and what you believe is what you will say, and what you say, decides what happens to you.

This is why it is important for you to get the Word of God into your heart until it influences your thinking. This is the first thing you must do. If you are going to change what you say, you must change what is in your heart. Therefore, I encourage you to habitually study the Bible and listen to messages over and over again until your heart is flooded with the Word. As you do, you are working on your heart, and if your heart is right, your life would also be alright but if your heart is defiled and evil, your life would also go in that direction.

Mark 7:21-23 say, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murder, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” So, what defiles a man comes from his heart. Therefore, lay up the Word of God in your heart and let it become your meditation. When that happens, your life would only reflect the Word because your life reflects your heart.

For instance, if you think that life is difficult, that will, of necessity, be your experience, but when you begin to think the way of prosperity and abundance as revealed to us in the Bible, your life will begin to go in that direction. Therefore, when I look at your life I can immediately tell the way you think.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank You for a release of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You even as I submit my heart to the influence of Your Word and the Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Born For Excellence

“The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor …” Proverbs 12:26

In view of our opening scripture, as a child of God, you must understand that when you got born again, you received an excellent mind because of the life of God which you received.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Becoming a Christian enlightens your mind. It makes you sound. As a result, every seed that comes out of your union with your wife is blessed and empowered to be excellent. The Bible says, “His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed”- Psalms 112:2.

For example, before Kenneth E. Hagin got born again, he was doing poorly academically. When he got saved, something amazing happened: he suddenly became an 'A' student. He started getting Straight 'A's. Why? His mind became sound because he was now born again. The same thing happened to me, when I was restored to Christ: my ability to comprehend increased.
You've got to understand what happened to you when you got born again, and what you have received in Christ. You have received enlightenment, excellence and a sound mind. Live with this understanding, and your developments and creativity will amaze this world.

Confessions.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare, according to the Word of God in 2 Timothy 1:7, that God has not given me the spirit of fear. I have the spirit of power, love and a sound mind. I am super-intelligent and excellent. Amen.

Enlightenment For Creativity

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” John 1:4

Without the life that comes from Christ, men have no light. So true enlightenment comes when an individual receives the life of God.

I remember a study done many years ago, in the early 1930's and 1940's,. The study spanned all the way to the 1800's, and discovered that development and creativity have always followed a revival.

For instance, when Europe was the center of Christianity, it became the center of creativity. When Christians who wanted their freedom traveled from Europe to America, the pilgrims planted a cross and vowed that, from America the gospel will go to the whole world. Do you know what happened afterwards? They started producing and that brought about development and creativity.

Also, for Japan, China and the nations of Asia to become anything, they had to go to America and Europe to study. So what they have came from Europe and America.

Europe and America were able to bless the world because of their connection to Christianity, but today, they are going down because they've left their roots. They are no longer committed to Christianity as they use to be.

Being a Christian gives you access to the blessing on Abraham. This is why the Jews are very blessed. Are you aware that most of the developments in the world like mobile phones, cameras, etc came from the Jews? Most of these gadgets are done by Jews. Why? Because they have a covenant linked to Abraham. You are also linked to Abraham by your union with Christ. Therefore, receive the grace for innovations and creative ingenuity.

Confessions.
Dear Father, I thank You for Your life is working mightily in me. That life brings  enlightenment to my mind, knowledge of witty inventions that will amaze this world and causes me to be a difference maker everywhere I go, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Christianos-One that is Joined to the Anointing

“But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit”. 1Corinthians 6:17

The word Christian is from the Greek word 'christianos'. It means one that is joined to the anointing. That means the day you became a Christian, you were plugged into the anointing. You live in that anointing now. Know that you are not going to be anointed; you are already anointed by God's spirit which resides in you.

The Bible says he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit (1Corinthians 6:17). 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is that Spirit: …” That means, when you are born again you were joined with Christ (the anointed one and His anointing,) so  you have been completely mingled with Christ and the anointing.

You are not ordinary any more; you are a carrier of the same anointing Jesus had when He walked this earth. It means you have the same ability and, therefore, can produce the same results.

So, to be a Christian is not just a religious talk. It means you have been plugged into the flow of the anointing. Live your life everyday, conscious of that anointing that you carry and you will do exploits. For you were born to do exploits by that anointing. Praise God!

Confessions.
I have been born to do exploits. My life is not ordinary because I have been mingled with the anointing of God's Spirit for supernatural exploits in this life and I can do all things by the anointing which resides in me. Amen.

Stop The Fear

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job 3:25

Fear is simply false evidence appearing real. You attract what you fear. Job said what he greatly feared and what he was afraid
of is come upon him. So, stop the fear. Also, stop thinking and talking negatively.

What you are confessing is what will happen in your life, whether good or bad. Proverbs 18:20-21(AMP) say, “A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].” The Good News Bible puts it this way, “You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say. What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.” The Message Bible says, “Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit--you choose.”

It is only the death you speak forth that will manifest in your life. Therefore, stop speaking and confessing your fear; rather start speaking and confessing your faith in the Word of God. Your present condition is an outward description of your thoughts and your words.

Confessions.
In the name of Jesus, I declare according to the Word of God, that I shall not die but live to declare forth the works of the Lord. The number of my days I will fulfill. With long life will I be satisfied and I will show forth His salvation. Amen.

For further study, read:
Matthew 12:35-37, Psalm 118:17, Psalm 91:14-16.

Doing the Word

Guard Your Heart

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10

The thief being referred to in our opening scripture is satan. One of the reasons he comes is to steal. So, what does he steal? In the parable of the sower told by Jesus in Mark 4, it is revealed to us that the primary thing that satan comes after to steal from you is the seed of the Word of God sown in your heart.

The Bible says in Mark 4:14-15, “The sower soweth the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.” Satan cannot steal your joy or any other good thing you have in Christ until he steals the Word of God in your heart.

Satan steals the Word in your heart because he knows that the Word of God is the source of your joy and every other good thing you have in Christ. In John 15:11 Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” The Word in you is what sustains your joy.

Also, John 1:1-3 let us know that the Word of God created all things; therefore it is the source of all things. Thus, if satan cannot steal the Word of God in your heart, he would not be able to steal your joy or any other thing you have in Christ. “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life”- Proverbs 4:23 (AMP).

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause my heart to be good ground for Your Word always. I ask that Your Word will always produce abiding fruit in me whenever I hear it even as I continually make progress and prosper by the Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Eternal Life

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
Romans 5:12

When did sin enter into the world? Our opening scripture shows us that sin entered into the world by one man. That man is Adam. So, what did he do? The Bible says in Romans 5:19, “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, …” Adam's disobedience to God's word brought sin into the world and many were made sinners.

As a result, death also entered the world. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death …” Sin brought death. So, what is the remedy that delivers us from sin and death? The Bible says in Romans 8:1-2, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

Receiving eternal life into your spirit deals with the sin nature. Sin is spiritual death revealed in conduct. Therefore, when an individual is not born again, he has spiritual death in his spirit because he is separated from God; so he sins. Sickness is also spiritual death revealed in the physical body. So, when Adam was separated from God, sickness became possible. It is said that sickness is incipient death, but the moment you receive eternal life, it stops the death processes. In other words, it would stop you from perishing. Eternal life fortifies you with righteousness in conduct and health in your body.

The Bible says in Romans 8:10-11, “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Confession.
There is therefore now no condemnation to me because I am in Christ Jesus. I walk after the Spirit; therefore the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Amen.

Quest For Immortality

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:”
Ephesians 4:17-18

The man that is not born again is carrying death because he is cut off from the life of God. He is dead spiritually. The Bible says in 1 John 5:12, “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Therefore, if you are born again, you have zoe (the life of Christ) in you. Amen!

All through human history, men had sought to receive the ability to overcome death. Why? It is because death is an enemy. Yet, in ignorance, many have resorted to the devil instead of to God in their search for immortality.

This is why I am bringing you the truth through this devotional to let you know that immortality and complete victory over death and all that is associated with it - sickness, disease and all other weaknesses -  can only be attained in Christ.

Therefore when you come into Christ, your search for immortality is over. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:9-11, “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.”

Confession.

Greater Love

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:12-13

The greatest proof of love is self-sacrifice. You do not truly love anyone until you get to the point where you are willing to die for them. It could be the love of a husband for his wife or the love of a wife for her husband; what determines the depth of their love is how far they are willing to go in sacrificing themselves for each other.

You may have felt worthless because of all the evil you did and all the mistakes you made in the past. I want you to know that Jesus died for every one of us and paid for all our sins as a proof of God's great love for us. That means, in the presence of God we all have equal value because the same price was paid for us all.

Do not think of God's love like the love of a man. Human love is limited and God does not love like men. There are certain things you could do to a human being and they could get to a point where they become fed up with you and may not be able to tolerate you anymore; but God is not that way. He never gets tired of loving you and He keeps giving you an open door to come back into His embrace.

God Himself gives you an invitation to come to Him in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” That's how much He loves you.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank You with all my heart, truly appreciating Your everlasting love for me. In spite of all my mistakes and wrong doing, You sent Jesus to die for me and to pay for all my sins. You gave me a new life and a new identity in You. You made me accepted in the Beloved and made me the object of Your love, always forgiving me from all my short comings. Thank You Father for loving me so dearly. I receive grace to live above all weaknesses, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Message Of Life

“And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say."”
 John 12:50 (NLT)

Jesus brought a message of life.

In John 10:10 the Bible says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Notice that Jesus said He came that they might have life. If He came so that we might have life, it means  we did not have the life He brought. In other words, He was not talking about our natural human life. He was referring to the divine life called zoe in the Greek.

John 1:4 says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” John 3:15-16 says, “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus brought eternal life. That means, without believing in Jesus you cannot have eternal life.

Jesus said, “… I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”-      John 14:6. 1 John 5:20 says, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. Know God's Love

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”
John 3:16(AMP)

Without love, life does not make sense. That is why God wants you to know, from our opening scripture, that He loves you with great love and prizes you dearly. When you know that God loves you with great love, you will never feel inferior anywhere, anytime and before anyone.

I have been privileged to have grown up in an exposed environment. While growing up, I noticed that, many of the children of the rich I met, had insecurities. At that time, one of the boys in my class from a wealthy home committed suicide. To know how rich they were, everything he wore on the day he killed himself was all new. He went shopping, bought new clothes and then went home to kill himself. He had everything a young child would want physically, but he never knew love.

Until you find out how much God loves you, you will feel worthless. Knowing that God loves you and accepting His love, adds value to your life. When you do not know God's love, you will attach your value to material things and positions but God's love shows you that your value is Christ.

Ephesians 3:19(AMP) says, “That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!”

Prayer.
Dear Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask that You grant unto me according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might by Your Spirit in my inner man; That Christ may dwell in my heart by faith; so that I may be rooted and grounded in love, and to know the experiential love of Christ which passes mere human knowledge, and to be filled with all the fullness of God.

Spirit Of Life 2

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
Romans 8:11

There was a man by the name John G. Lake from America who went to South Africa as a missionary. While he was there pastoring, the bubonic plague broke out in that country and people were dying everywhere. When this was happening, John G. Lake and his workers went out without gloves or protective covering over their bodies and helped buried many of the people who had died from the plague which was supposed to be a communicable disease, yet John G. Lake and his workers never caught the disease nor became sick.

During that great plague, one of the doctors that was sent by the government to combat the epidemic sent for John G. Lake to find out from him the secret that kept him immune from being infected by the plague even though he came in close contact with those who had died from it without using any known protection or preventive. John G. Lake answered and said, “Brother, that is the 'law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.' I believe that just as long as I keep my soul in contact with the living God so that His Spirit is flowing into my soul and body, that no germ will ever attach itself to me, for the Spirit of God will kill it.” In case they were in doubt he asked them to carry out an experiment for them to see for themselves the power of the Spirit of life. When they took some of those living bacteria from someone who had just died and filled his bare hands with them, and as they watched with a microscope, those masses of bacteria died instantly as soon as they came in contact with his hand. That is what the Spirit of life can do in your body right now if you are a child of God.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that is at work in me has made me free from the law of sin and death. I am immune to all sicknesses, diseases and infections. Amen.

Spirit Of Life 1

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:1-2

When you are born again, the Bible says, the spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes you free from the law of sin and death.

The Bible also says in Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” This shows that the Spirit of life in you slows down the ageing process. When the natural man grows older, he gets weaker because he does not have the life of God (zoe). That should not be the case for the man in whom the Spirit of life dwells. When the Spirit of life dwells in you, He gives zoe to your body.

When you understand the power of zoe, sickness will become a strange thing to you. You will become immune to sickness and disease because your mortal body will be quickened by zoe. Sickness is spiritual death at work in the human body, but when you are inundated by the spirit of life, no longer will death work in your body. Hallelujah.

Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to Romans 8:11, that the Spirit that raised up Christ from the dead dwells in me. Therefore, my physical body is vitalized by the Spirit of life that dwells in me. Amen.

You Are Light

“Ye are the light of the world… ”
Matthew 5:14

What you are conscious of is what dominates you. That is why I am bringing the truths of the gospel of life to you so that you will make these truths your meditation and allow them to dominate your life.

Firstly, I will like you to see, as stated in our opening scripture, that “Ye are the light of the world… ” If you are the light of the world, how can darkness have power over you? The light which you are in Christ cannot be overpowered by darkness. This light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome it (See John 1:5). This means that, no matter how powerful a demon is, when it enters your environment, it is paralyzed. This is the consciousness that you must have as a Christian:  the consciousness that you are absolute light in this world.

Therefore, as light, when you get into any environment, satan is paralyzed. This also means that your inclusion in your family means that satan's power is paralyzed in that family because you are there.

1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am the light of the world. I shine in my world; the brightness of my shining eliminates all darkness because greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Amen.

You Are More Than A Body

“Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.”
Job 10:11-12

Our opening scripture today clearly shows us that the body and the spirit are separate. So, it is important you understand that you are more than flesh and blood. You are a spirit being.

James 2:26 says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” The Amplified Bible puts it this way, “For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead.” The Message Bible says, “The very moment you separate body and spirit, you end up with a corpse.…”

The scripture above makes it evident that the spirit animates the body. In other words, the spirit gives life to the body. When an individual dies, it is said that he gave up the ghost; that means, he allowed the spirit go. The spirit without the body is a ghost and the body without the spirit is a corpse.

In Luke 24:39(MSG) when Jesus was trying to convince his disciples that it was really Him they were seeing after His resurrection and not a ghost, He said to them, “Look at my hands; look at my feet--it's really me. Touch me. Look me over from head to toe. A ghost doesn't have muscle and bone like this."”

It is important you have an understanding of these things so you would have the consciousness that you are a spirit being living in a body. This consciousness is what will begin to help you understand how to live life in the spirit. Romans 8:8-9 say, “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I am the temple of the Holy Ghost who lives in me. I have been bought with a price; therefore I glorify God in my body and spirit, which are God's.

The Christian

“This Christian life is a great mystery, far exceeding our understanding, but some things are clear enough …”
1 Timothy 3:16 (MSG)

The word Christian is from the Greek word 'Christianos' which refers to one that is like the Anointed one. It also refers to one joined to the Anointed one and His anointing. Therefore, the Christian is that man or woman that is a joint heir together with Christ. The Christian is linked to the anointing that is on Jesus.

Galatians 3:26-27 says, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” The shows us that, God's perspective of who a Christian is, is the man or woman who has put on Christ. The word 'put on' in the verse above is from the Greek word 'enduo' which means to be clothed, to sink into, etc. Therefore, to put on Christ means that you have sunk into Christ, so you are completely clothed and wrapped with the same anointing that is on Jesus.

You are no longer ordinary anymore. You carry in you and on you the same anointing that Jesus carried. The Bible says, “… as he is, so are we in this world” - 1 John 4:17. Whatever cannot stop Christ cannot stop you. Whatever bows to Christ bows to you because you carry the fullness of Christ in you.
Praise God!

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am unstoppable because I carry in me and on me, the same anointing that Jesus carried. Nothing shall be impossible unto me even as I make unhindered progress in all that God has called me to do. Amen.

The Gospel

“But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”
2 Timothy 1:10

What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news of what Jesus accomplished for us in His death, burial and resurrection. Therefore, as you get to study the gospel of Christ, you will discover that death has been abolished. Thus, the gospel is a gospel of life which teaches us how to live in dominion over death.

Secondly, you will learn that the demands of God in the gospel are always equal to His provisions. 2 Timothy 1:8 says, “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” The Good News Bible puts it this way, “Do not be ashamed, then, of witnessing for our Lord; neither be ashamed of me, a prisoner for Christ's sake. Instead, take your part in suffering for the Good News, as God gives you the strength for it.” This shows that, whatever God demands from you is what He equips you to do.

Thirdly, you will discover that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to all people. Paul said in Romans 1:14-17(GNB), “For I have an obligation to all peoples, to the civilized and to the savage, to the educated and to the ignorant. So then, I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who live in Rome. I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God's power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles. For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, "The person who is put right with God through faith shall live."” The gospel is God's power to save all who believe because the gospel gives life (Zoe).

Confession.
I declare according to my faith in the gospel, that Christ is at work in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Your Heritage

“Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the Light. [The Father] has delivered and  drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,”
Colossians 1:12-13 (AMP)

If you are born again, you must live with the consciousness that satan does not have control and dominion over you anymore. Satan's right to rule and control you was broken the day you made Jesus the Lord of your life. Right now, if you are a child of God, darkness has no power over you. That means, whatever evil spirit operating in your family history has lost his control over your life.

This is why, as you learn to have this understanding of who you are as a Christian, you will know you are not supposed to judge yourself by what happens in your natural family. This is because, from the day you got born again, you were grafted into the family of God. From then on, any curse or oppression that existed in your natural family ceased to have any control over you. You have now become a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. Therefore, the blessing of Abraham as well as every blessing in Christ has become your portion and your right. Praise God!

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I have been called to inherit a blessing. Therefore, the blessing of the Lord upon me empowers me to be, do and have all that God has ordained for me to be, do and have. Amen.

Access To The Kingdom

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
 John 3:5-7

Being born again or the new birth is what gives you access into the kingdom of God. Until a man or woman is born again he or she is in the kingdom of darkness. Therefore the new birth is your entry into the kingdom of God.

What is a kingdom? A kingdom is a realm, an environment or a sphere where the authority of a king is recognized. So, being born into the kingdom of God by means of the new birth is being born into the realm where God reigns supreme and His dominion is recognized. When you are in the kingdom of God you receive the ability to exercise the power and authority of God over all the power of the enemy – satan.

Also, when you are a citizen of the kingdom of God, you have the legal right and authority to cast out satan and to bind all his works wherever you are and wherever you go. Jesus said in the constitution of our kingdom (The Bible) in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Praise God!

Be Born Again

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
1 Peter 1:23

Being born again is more than a conversion. It is the actual rebirth of the human spirit. This means that the day an individual gets born again, his or her spirit is infused with the divine life of God. He or she becomes a partaker of the divine nature, having the same quality of life in the same way God has it.

In this month's devotional, we are going to be studying this eternal life we received into our spirit at the new birth. Why is this important? It is important because, until you understand what happened to you in your spirit the day you got born again, you will live like an ordinary person.

Jesus said in John 3:3, “… Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Therefore, if you are not born again, I encourage you to harken to the command of the Lord Jesus today to be born again. This is important because being born again is not referring to your natural birth, neither do you need to enter a second time into your mother's womb like Nicodemus thought (See John 3:4). To be born again, you must consciously believe with your heart and confess the Lordship of Jesus with your mouth; then you shall be saved (See Romans 10:9-10). I encourage you to do same today by praying the prayer of salvation below:

Prayer of salvation.
O God, I come to you today. I admit I am a sinner and have committed sins, but I believe with all my heart that you sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that His death paid for all my sins. I believe He was buried for me and He was raised from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess that Jesus is Lord over my life and I take Him as my Lord and personal Saviour. I declare that I am saved. I am born again from this day forward. I have received eternal life into my spirit.
Amen.
