Pray with your rhema.

“Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,”
Acts 26:17(KJV)

Our opening scripture is the rhema Word that God gave to Paul when he called him to preach the gospel. But Paul knew that when God gives His Word, we also have a responsibility in prayer to see that Word manifested. This was why when he was going into dangerous territories, he asked the Church to pray for him to be delivered from wicked and unreasonable men.(See 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2)

The Bible lets us know that when Daniel understood by the books of Jeremiah the Prophet the number of years that Israel ought to spend in the captivity, and discovered that they had fulfilled those number of years and yet they were still in captivity, he knew he had to pray in line with God's Word (rhema) concerning their deliverance for them to be set free.(See Daniel 9:2-22)

Daniel did not start complaining or crying helplessly, no. Instead he turned to prayer because he understood the responsibility of prayer in seeing God’s Word come to pass.

So, what would you do with all the glorious words and prophesies that God has given to us this year? Will you just sit there and wait for them to come to pass on their own? No, you have to use them in prayer and make them your confession, till you see everyone of them manifested in your life.

INSTRUCTION
Pray and thank the Lord for 'open doors,'(Revelation 3:7-8) 'open wombs,'(Genesis 21:2, 29:31, 30:22) and 'open hearts'(Acts 16:14).

For further study read:
Matthew 6:10, Acts 11:42, Psalm 110:3, Luke 24:45.

DOING THE WORD
Consistently pray and thank the Lord for these things.

Seize what is yours.

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
Matthew 11:12(KJV)

God's Word translation puts it this way, “From the time of John the Baptizer until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful people have been seizing it.” In other words, what is happening in the kingdom of God, at a particular time reflects the character of the people in authority at that time.

Child of God it is time for you to release your faith and take a hold of all that you know is yours in the kingdom of God. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:21, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;”

God has made all things available to you in Christ, therefore it is your responsibility to take a hold of all that God has already given to you in Christ. 1 Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,” This means that your faith is what helps you to seize and take a hold of all that has already been made yours in Christ.

So whenever you feel your faith going down, that is the time for you to practice what the Word says in Jude 1:20, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,” As you pray in the Holy Ghost that way, use the prophesies or scriptures that substantiates what God says is yours to war a good warfare as you pray and lay claims to all that has been given to you freely in Christ.

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that all things are mine, and I command satan to take his hands off the flow of my provisions towards me right now. I declare that angels are released even now to facilitate the speed of all that God has given to me to come to me now. Amen

For further study read:
1 Timothy 1:18, Hebrews 3:14, Hebrews 6:18,
Colossians 1:23.

DOING THE WORD
Maintain your confession concerning all that is yours in Christ.

Don't limit God.

“And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:” Exodus 13:17(KJV)

Do you know that God's desire was for the children of Israel to enter the promised land in forty days, but they entered after forty years. Why? They limited the Holy One of Israel. This is why you need to get the knowledge of God's Word and build your faith, so that you will not limit God in your life. Then God spoke to me saying, “Son it can take you forty days to get to your promised land or forty years.”

So it is possible for someone to be experiencing at sixty what God wished for him at twenty-five. To him and others around him, they may think it took a long time in coming, but the truth was that his unbelief limited God. But the moment his faith was ready for it, that which God had planned for Him was manifested.

Child of God, I'm just wondering what would have happened in your life that hasn't happened yet. Therefore, I encourage you to release your faith for glorious possibilities in your life. Always remember that it will always be to you according to your faith.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I release my faith for God's best and His perfect will for my life to be manifested and I declare that all things are possible unto me in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Genesis 18:14, Job 42:2, Jeremiah 32:17, Matthew 17:20, Mark 9:23, Luke 18:27.

DOING THE WORD
Meditate on Philippians 1:13.

Teach us to pray.

“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray,…”
Luke 11:1(KJV)

It is very important you are taught about prayer and the right way to pray because there are principles and rules governing prayer. And so long as you do not know some of these principles and rules, you will be limited, because every man is limited by the knowledge which he possesses.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” This shows you that you cannot receive what you don't know, and you cannot receive what you don't understand. So you are limited by the knowledge you have.

In Psalm 78:41, the Bible says, “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” The Bible says they limited the Holy One of Israel. In other words, you can limit God and His power in your life by ignorance and unbelief.

In Matthew 13:54-58, the Bible tells us about Jesus, that when He went to Nazareth, “... he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

Matthew 13:58. This shows us that unbelief would always limit God whenever it is found in your heart.

The Bible says in James 1:6-7(NIV), “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” Therefore, when you pray ensure that you do not doubt in your heart.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you because I believe that you are able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that I am able to ask or think, according to your power that is at work in me. Therefore I believe and I receive every request that I make in faith today in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read
James 4:3, Psalm 66:18-19, Hebrews 3:12.

DOING THE WORD
Go ahead and make your request in faith.

Prayer aids ministry success.

“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
1 John 2:6(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us that we ought to follow the example of Jesus Christ. When He walked this earth, He lived as a man of prayer, and He also fasted. Therefore, if we abide in Him, we ought to be men and women of prayer, and we ought to fast too. (Matthew 4:1-2)

I remember the story of a man of God, who got to the first phase of his ministry almost after thirty years or more in ministry. As I wondered why, I noticed that his ministry doesn't really emphasize prayer.

Prayer is an important principle that increases the speed of our work in the ministry. This was why Paul the Apostle told the Thessalonian Church in 2 Thessalonian 3:1(ESV), “Finally brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, …”

This shows us that the speed of our work is determined by the quality of our prayer for the work. This is why when you read throughout the epistles, you will notice that the Apostle Paul always solicited for the prayers of the Church for the work, because he knew that prayer gives speed to the work of the ministry.

At the same time we see that Paul the Apostle was also a man of prayer because he said in 1 Corinthians 14:18, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:” This tells us why he became one of the most successful Apostles that ever lived. It is obvious that one of his secrets was prayer.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you pour upon me the Spirit of prayer and supplication, and I ask that may the compassion of Christ flow through me today and always, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
1 Thessalonians 5:25, Romans 15:30, Philemon 1:22

DOING THE WORD
Pray for increased impact in the work of the ministry and the gospel today.

Prayer leads to an outpouring.

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Luke 24:49(KJV)

Before the outpouring of the Spirit in 1901 in Topeka Kansas, there was a man called Charles Parham who was hungry for more of God, so God sent him to Topeka that He will meet him there.

When Charles Parham got to Topeka Kansas he saw a huge building called Stones Folly, it was a castle with two towers that had been built and then abandoned. While he was looking at the building, he recognized that it was the same building he saw in the vision he had, so he spoke out loud, “This is the place.” While he was still speaking, a man walked out of the building and asked him why he was saying this is the place. Then he answered saying, “God showed me in a vision that this is the place He is going to meet with me.” The man answered and said, “the building has not been in use, so you can go in and have it.” So, he went in expecting to have a divine appointment with God.

While he was there praying, another lady called Agnes Ozman, who was the first to speak in other tongues on January 1st 1901, also came to the door of the same building where Charles Parham was and knocked,

because God had also told her, “I will meet you in Topeka.” So when she got there, she saw that it was the same building that God had showed her in a vision.

When Charles Parham came to answer the door and saw her, he asked her, “what are you doing here?” and she said, “God told me He will meet me here.” And he let her in. That was how people kept on coming into the building, till they started a Bible school and started praying everyday till the first of January 1901.

On January 1st 1901, there was an outpouring of the Spirit upon them and they began to speak in other tongues even as the Spirit gave them utterance. But I want you to notice that they had to spend time praying before this happened.

INSTRUCTION
Pray and ask the Father for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit upon His Church.

For further study read:
Joel 2:28-29, John 14:16, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-21.

DOING THE WORD
Spend time to pray in the Spirit, and if you are not filled with the Holy Spirit freely ask the Father to fill you with the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13).

Prayer eliminates opposition.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;” Romans 15:30-31(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see the Apostle Paul asking the Church to strive in their prayers to God for him because his deliverance from the opposition and the acceptance of the message of the gospel was dependent on prayer.

It is important that you are also aware that prayer is what will break down every form of opposition to the gospel. The Church corporately as a body and each of us as individuals have a responsibility to pray.

In Acts 12 we see how that Herod rose up against the Church and he killed James the brother of John with the sword. When he saw that it pleased the Jews, he decided to take Peter also, then the Bible says in Acts 12:5, “Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” As a result of their prayer, they were able to preserve Peter's life and God sent an angel to deliver Peter from death(See Acts 12:1-17).

The Apostle Paul knowing the possibilities we have in prayer, sent a letter to the Philippian Church encouraging them to pray for him when he was locked up in prison, he wrote to them saying, “… I know that I will be set free through your prayers and through the help that comes from the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” (See Philippians 1:19(GW))

Therefore, be conscious knowing that whenever you pray, you can silence every opposition and release the help that comes from the Holy Spirit to change any situation.

INSTRUCTION
Pray today that as the gospel is preached in this nation and around the world, believers and minsters of the gospel are delivered from all evil and from wicked and unreasonable men
(2 Thessalonians 3:2).

For further study read:
Luke 18:1, 2 Corinthians 1:8-10, 2 Timothy 4:16-18.

DOING THE WORD
Whenever you hear of any opposition to the gospel, pray.

Your prayer responsibility 3.

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
Mark 1:35(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us that Jesus had to pray everyday when He walked this earth. He rose up very early in the morning to go and spend time praying because the success of His ministry on earth depended on it. If Jesus needed to pray, it means it is essential and required that we should also spend quality time to pray to succeed in the assignment God has given us to carry out on earth.

The Bible tells us again about Jesus prayer culture in Luke 6:12, “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” Jesus was a man of prayer. He so needed to pray that He spent the whole night in prayer to God. Why? It is because God's work on earth requires prayer.

Therefore it is important you know that the speed of any ministry on earth is tied to certain things. Firstly, there should be a divine vision, secondly there should be prayer, thirdly there should be giving, fourthly there should be training for the people in the ministry. But one of the most essentials is prayer.

For instance, I know of a ministry that spent two whole years fasting and praying for the future of the ministry before they started formally, so the success and the influence which that particular ministry is having today, is based on the foundation of prayer and fasting.

INSTRUCTION
Pray that the message that the Father has given to us would have free course and spread rapidly through every available means we are reaching out (radio, televison, A Word in Due Season. Etc.,)

For further study read:
Psalm 5:3, Psalm 109:4, Mark 6:46, Luke 6:12.

DOING THE WORD
Pray that the Lord would pour upon His Church the spirit of grace and supplications (Zechariah 12:10)

Sunday, 23 March 2014

Your prayer responsibility 2.

“… Through your faithful prayers and the generous response of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, everything he wants to do in and through me will be done.” Philippians 1:19(MSG)

Our opening scripture shows us that our prayers have a vital role in ensuring that the will of God is done on the earth, or even in the lives of others. This is why much of God's work has been delayed because of lack of prayer.

For instance, before the healing revival came in 1947, in 1942 and 1943, the Spirit of God began to stir the heart of Kenneth E. Hagin the desire to pray, and he will wake up everyday at 3am or 4am and pray for two hours or more. Then, one day he prayed for five hours and forty-five minutes and God spoke to him that there is coming a healing revival to America after the second world war, and it did come.

Therefore, in my study of the healing move of the Spirit in America, I noticed that many people were in prayer. God will wake them up in the night to pray. Why? It is because God's work on earth requires human collaboration.

Revival doesn't come just by you saying, “O Lord send revival.” You would have to take out time to pray by the help of the Holy Spirit for it. This is why the Bible tells us in Zechariah 10:1, “Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” The rain of God's Spirit is what will bring about the revival we desire.

INSTRUCTION
Please I will encourage you to pray the prayer in Zechariah 10:1; today, for an outpouring of the Spirit upon our nation, our states and our cities.

For further study read:
Ephesians 6:18, Romans 12:12, 2 Timothy 1:3, Hosea 6:3, Joel 2:23-24, James 5:7.

DOING THE WORD
Pray for the rain of God's Spirit in our church services today, leading to the salvation of souls and healings.

Saturday, 22 March 2014

Your prayer responsibility 1.

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:37-38(KJV)

Jesus stresses the importance of our prayer life in our opening scripture because our prayer is vital for us to reap the harvest. John Wesley said, “It seems God is limited by our prayer life, that He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him.” This means that God's work on earth is limited by the prayer life of His people.

The Lord Jesus required us to pray the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into His harvest. Notice that it is God's harvest, yet He requires us to pray concerning the harvest. Why? It is important you understand that this is a  to flow through a human person.

Psalm 115:16 says, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.” We see that God has delegated authority on earth to the children of men. Therefore, child of God, know that our prayer life is responsible for the spread of the gospel in our nation, our states and even in our cities. So, pray passionately today with 2 Thessalonians 3:1(GNB), “Finally, our friends, pray for us that the Lord's message may continue to spread rapidly and be received with honor, just as it was among you.”

INSTRUCTION
Today, please pray: That the Lord of the harvest would send labourers into His harvest, secondly, pray that the gospel of Jesus would spread unhindered in this nation, in your state and in your city.

For further study read:
Luke 10:2, Romans 15:30, 2 Corinthians 1:11, Colossians 4:3, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 25,
1 Timothy 2:1-4.

DOING THE WORD
Pray always for the spread of the gospel.

Friday, 21 March 2014

I will answer you

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3(KJV)

The words in our opening scripture are sure words spoken by the Lord Himself, He says, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee,…” This means that God puts prayer in a positive note. He didn't say call unto me and you will get a yes or a no. That's not what He said, He said, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee,…”
We

This is why the Bible says to us in James 1:5, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” God is a generous God and He is willing to answer your prayer and give to you without finding fault.

Therefore, I encourage you today to ask in faith according to James 1:6-7, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for giving me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, I thank you because the eyes of my understanding is enlightened to know the hope of your calling, and the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Romans 10:12, Isaiah 45:3, Isaiah 48:6.

DOING THE WORD
Ask the Lord to grant you revelation into hidden truths and secrets today.

The father answers prayer

““That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”
1 John 1:3(KJV)

Do you know that you have been called into a relationship, a united fellowship, and communion with the Father? As a child of God, you are not a stranger to the Father or to Jesus. Are you conscious that you have such a close relationship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ? If you are, your prayer life will be different. You will not need to ask other people to pray for you and help you to beg God because you know you have direct access to the Father.

The word 'Father' means 'source.' Therefore, you ought to see the Father as your source for everything and then relate with Him in that understanding.

In Psalm 65:2(CEV), the Bible says, “Everyone will come to you because you answer prayer.” This is why I tell people to be careful what they pray for, because it will be answered. When you function with this understanding, your prayer life will no longer be a gamble, you will be certain that when you ask the Father for anything, He will answer you.

This was the kind of understanding that Jesus had when He walked this earth as a man, He knew that He was in a vital fellowship, partnership and communion with the Father who answers prayer, this is why He said in John 11:41-42(CEV), “Jesus looked up toward heaven and prayed, "Father, I thank you for answering my prayer. I know that you always answer my prayers. But I said this, so that the people here would believe that you sent me."”

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for answering my prayer. I know that you always answer my prayers. Therefore, I rest from all my worries knowing that I am living in the finished works of Christ where all things are ready unto me. All my needs are met because the Father is my source in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Psalm 66:19, Psalm 91:15, Psalm 102:17, Isaiah 65:24,
Acts 10:31.

DOING THE WORD
Take some time today to worship the Father and thank Him for His answers.

Pray to the father 2

“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father,…” John 17:1(KJV)

Our opening scripture is the beginning of the most detailed prayer of Jesus recorded in the Bible, and you will observe that He followed the protocols He taught His disciples in prayer. He began by saying, Father,… This shows us that Jesus was always conscious of His relationship with His Father.

In Matthew 26:39, the Bible shows us that Jesus directed His prayer to the Father, “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father,…” Again in Mark 14:35-36, the Bible says, “And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father,…”

When Jesus stood before the tomb of Lazarus, at the time when there was such a great demand on Him, the Bible records in John 11:41, “…And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.” He always called God, Father when He prayed because He was conscious of His relationship with His Father.

Personally, I have noticed that men who relate to God as Father, or Daddy, are men who walk in great power. So when I listen to you pray as a Christian, I will like to hear how you address God, because it reveals the quality of your relationship with Him. So do you say “O God” when you pray, or you call Him “Father.” It all depends on the quality of your relationship with Him. Jesus teaches us to address God as 'Father' when we pray. (See Luke 11:2) Always see prayer as a conversation between a loving Father and His child.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for revealing these truths to me. I ask that as I practice these teachings, may I experience a visible increase in the manifestation of your power and love in my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Psalm 89:26, Romans 8:15, John 20:17, John 17:5,11,25,
2 Corinthians 6:18, Galatians 4:6.

DOING THE WORD
Always call God Father.

Pray to the father 1

“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father …” Luke 11:2(KJV)

Jesus is showing us from our opening scripture that prayer is based on a relationship, letting us know that every child of God has equal rights before the Father in prayer.

This shows you that if Jesus could get results in prayer, you also can get results in prayer, and I can also get results when I pray, because we are praying to “Our Father.” Therefore, be confident whenever you want to pray. Know that God wants to hear you and He wants to answer your prayer because He is your Father.

As a child of God, you do not need anybody to act as an intermediary to pray for you so God will answer your prayer. No, you can pray for yourself, by yourself and expect to get the same results that Jesus got, because you are praying to your Father. He loves you just as He loves Jesus. Do you believe that? (See John 16:26-27)

This is why Jesus said in John 16:23-24, “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

INSTRUCTION
Could you please talk to your Father for just five minutes right now.

For further study read:
Ephesians 1:16-17, Ephesians 3:14-16.

DOING THE WORD
Be conscious of the presence of your Father with you throughout your day.

How to pray

“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, …” Luke 11:2(KJV)

From our opening scripture, Jesus in teaching the principles of prayer to His disciples said to them, “When ye pray, say, …” This means that if you are not speaking or talking when it is time to pray, it simply means that you are not praying.

There are some Christians who practice what they call, silent prayer. The Bible doesn't teach us to pray silent prayers. If you are not talking, you are not praying as far as God is concerned. Jesus is showing us how to pray to the Father the Biblical way.

This means that when we pray we ought to utter words, in other words you must be talking. As long as your mouth is shut during the time of prayer, you are not praying. It does not matter how long you have been practicing such, it is time for you to begin to pray rightly.

Every time Jesus prayed, He spoke words. He never prayed in His mind, His words were so clear that those around Him when He prayed heard the words that He spoke. The most detailed prayer of Jesus documented in the Bible is found in the book of John 17:1-26, and in John 17:1, the Bible says, “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, …” Showing us that Jesus practiced what He was teaching His disciples to do, He always spoke words when He prayed. Therefore, do likewise.

INSTRUCTION
Today pray Ephesians 1:17, Ephesians 3:16, Philippians 1:9 and Colossians 1:9 for yourself.

For further study read:
1 Samuel 2:1, 2 Kings 20:2, Matthew 26:39,42,44,
Acts 16:25.

DOING THE WORD
Practice the Bible way to pray.

Pray rightly

“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1(KJV)

From our opening scripture, the disciples of Jesus came and asked Him to teach them to pray. This shows us that prayer is a science. When we say that prayer is a science, we mean that prayer is governed by principles.

Therefore, there are certain principles you have to know to get results in prayer. This is important because many people pray, but they do not get results when they pray. This was why the disciples of Jesus wanted Him to teach them to pray even though they were Jews. Jews are a praying people, yet they wanted Jesus to teach them to pray. Why? They noticed that Jesus was always getting results whenever He prayed. Therefore, they wanted to know how to pray to get results always.

Child of God it is important you know today that God wants you to always get the right results every time you pray.

Therefore, whenever you want to pray, you have to forgive, because holding offence can hinder your prayer(See Mark 11:25). Also, when you pray, pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus(See John 16:23).

It is also important for you to be specific when praying(See James 1:5). Always pray in faith without doubting(James 1:6). Always pray in line with the Word of God(See Hosea 14:2). It is also important you know that you receive the answer to your prayer when you pray(See Mark 11:24).

INSTRUCTION
Practice the word you have learnt today and ask for what you desire.

For further study read:
Psalm 66:18-19, Psalm 145:18-19, Proverbs 15:8,29, 1 Peter 3:12, 1 John 5:14-15.

DOING THE WORD
Be confident in God's love for you, knowing He has heard your prayer.

Speak the logos

“All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3(KJV)

The Bible says in our opening scripture that nothing was made without the Word. The word 'made' is from the Greek word 'ginomai' which means 'to be brought to pass'. How are things made? They are made by the Word of God. The Greek word interpreted 'Word' in our opening scripture is the word, 'logos' meaning God's thoughts.

Where can you find God's thoughts? God's thoughts are found in the Word of God. How can you find God's Word? You find God's Word in the Bible. Therefore, when I find what is written about me or my circumstances in the Bible and I speak it, it will surely comes to pass.

This is why I am bold to say that I will never lack money, why? The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Therefore, I am rich.

This is why I can boldly say that I will live my days in health because the Bible says in 1 Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Therefore, I encourage you to search the scriptures and consistently declare the Word of God concerning who God has made you and as you do, it will surely be brought to pass in your life as it is written.

CONFESSION
The Lord has said that He will never leave me nor forsake me, so that I may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” By the grace of God I am what I am, therefore, I declare that I am strong, the Word of God abides in me, I have overcome the wicked one.

DOING THE WORD
If it is written in the Word, then declare it about you. That's how God sees you.

Speak faith-filled words 3

“Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”
Mark 11:23(ESV)

The Bible says that there is power in words. Words have creative ability. Words can restructure the earth, and even remove mountains.

God is the one who created the earth and the mountains(Psalm 90:2), yet He says when faith-filled words are released, it can even move mountains(Mark 11:23). That is how powerful words are if there is faith in them.

Remember what happened during the days of Joshua. The Bible says in Joshua 10:12-14, “Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.”

God listened to the words of Joshua because He was on their side. The Bible says in Romans 8:31, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” This means that because God is on your side, nothing shall be impossible to you, neither can anyone be against you. Therefore say what you want to see with confidence and it shall be manifested.

PRAYER
I believe and therefore have I spoken that this is my year of heaven on earth. I have unopposed victory in Christ. God is causing all that has been denied me to be given to me by free course. I am experiencing abundance and my life is free from all struggle in Jesus Name.

Keep speaking faith-filled words.

Speak faith-filled words 2

“They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.”
Isaiah 42:17(KJV)

Have you noticed that when an evil man that works with evil spirits wants to speak, they speak with confidence in the power of the evil spirit of which they are talking about. Yet those spirits are powerless compared to the authority that has been vested on us in the name of Jesus. This is why the Bible says that they shall be greatly ashamed.

Seeing that evil men speak believing and expecting those things they say to happen because of their faith in the devil. What about you a child of God, do you have faith that when you speak God will bring those words to pass?

I will like to share with you a story about Archbishop Benson Idahosa, when he was still a young man, he found a calabash in front of his house one morning when he opened his door. On seeing the calabash, he took it up in his hands and smashed it to the floor, saying, “as this calabash is broken, so shall the heart of the person that did this be ripped in two.”

Why was he confident without been afraid to destroy that charm placed in front of his house, and then utter those words against the one who did it, even though he knew they were evil men? It is because he had faith in his words, and he was confident in the power of God.

As a result of the power of those words that the Archbishop uttered, the native doctor whose brother brought the charm to the house of the Archbishop, ran to his office at about 9am and confessed that he was the one who made the charm for his younger brother who was presently dying of a ruptured heart that same morning.

As a result of the power of God manifested, the native doctor got converted, gave his heart to Christ and joined Church of God Mission.

CONFESSION
I declare that no weapon formed against me or any member of my family shall prosper. I declare that we are immune from all evil and the negative devices of satan against us. Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world.

DOING THE WORD
Fear no evil.

Speak faith-filled words 1

“I create the fruit of the lips; …”
Isaiah 57:19a(KJV)

In our opening scripture, God tells us that He creates the fruit of the lips. This means that God can create out of nothing whatsoever I desire with my words. So if all you have is words, God can make something with your words.

No matter the situation you are in, you may not know anyone, or you may not have anyone to help you, it doesn't matter. Begin to create what you want to see with your mouth. Begin to declare that you have favour wherever you go with everyone you meet and expect it to be so, because faith-filled words have creative ability.

Therefore, when you speak what you mean, and mean what you speak, creative power is released. If this is your mind set and attitude when you pray, you would not be shocked when you get an answer to your prayer, because you expected it to happen.

When you pray with a believing heart, know that every word you speak, can change anything. So when you pray be conscious that God is listening to act, He is ready to create what you say. Having this understanding lets you see the importance of every time of prayer you have. Your prayer time becomes an opportunity for God to create something new for you. Prayer for you with this knowledge is serious business.

INSTRUCTION
With the understanding that you have received declare what you want to see knowing you are releasing creative power.

DOING THE WORD
Always speak faith-filled words to contrary situation and circumstances when they arise.

Do not doubt

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us the importance of being specific when we pray. I will like to share with you the story of the woman that had a mountain behind her house. When she saw Mark 11:23 in her Bible, she went and spoke to the mountain at the back of her house, commanding it to be removed and to be cast into the sea. When she woke up the next day and saw the mountain still there behind her house, she said, “you are there as I have expected.” In other words, even though she had commanded the mountain to be removed, she did not expect it to happen as she has commanded.

The same principle applies to every one of us. Do not pray with your mouth, and then be unexpectant with your heart. But rather, when you pray, be specific on what you desire without doubting, believe that what you've asked for will come to pass, and you shall have whatsoever you say. So be expectant.

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that if God said it, I believe it and that settles it. I declare that nothing shall be impossible unto me because I am a believer and not a doubter.

Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Luke 17:6.

DOING THE WORD
Thank the Father for all His answers to all you have demanded.

The father backs you up

“And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.”
Mark 11:12-14(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us an event that took place in the life of Jesus. Jesus was hungry on His way from Bethany, because He found no figs in a fig tree He saw along the road, He cursed it saying, “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.”

In Mark 11:20-22, the Bible tells us what happened the next morning after Jesus cursed the fig tree, “And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.”

From the above, we can observe that Jesus got the kind of result He got as He walked this earth because He had faith in God. In other words, He spoke and prayed the way He did, and got the results He got because He had confidence in God. Do you have such confidence in God that He will always back you up and do whatsoever you ask in His name? This is why 1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because according to your Word, whatsoever I bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatsoever I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Therefore, I agree with your Word and I curse every tree that you have not planted in my life, and I speak a release to all the bounties you have for me in this season to come to me by free course in Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Be confident in your confessions, they will come to pass.

Pray believing and acting accordingly

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Mark 11:24(KJV)

A woman was praying for her husband to be saved, and her whole church was praying with her too. This continued for some time, and every time they had a prayer meeting in church, this woman will stand up and tell them to pray for her husband because he is a very terrible man. She continued talking in this way every time they met in their prayer meeting, until one day, the Pastor of the church asked her to stop saying that request over and over again, and she should also stop calling her husband a terrible man. He made her know that the confession she was making concerning her husband was actually cancelling all their prayer for her husband. So the Pastor said they were not going to pray for her husband anymore because God had already heard them, not long afterwards, her husband was saved.

This explains why someone can be praying for a long time concerning an issue, yet there is no change. Why? Most of the time there is no believing in their prayer. This is because if they believed in their prayer, they would have behaved like it.

Therefore, if you believe in your prayer, after you pray, let your confessions after prayer, be in agreement with your faith that God has heard you. In other words, act like it, talk like it, think like it, and begin to praise God for it because you know that He has already heard you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you because I know you have heard me, therefore I declare that the world is mine, life is mine, things present, and things to come are all mine, and I belong to Christ therefore all things are ready unto me in Jesus Name. Amen.

Numbers 14:2,28, Isaiah 57:19.

DOING THE WORD
Always be mindful of your confessions after praying, let it always be in agreement with your prayer.

Consider it done

“Ask, and it shall be given you; …”
Matthew 7:7(KJV)

Our opening scripture is a more sure Word from Jesus. He totally meant what He said. When He said, “Ask, and it shall be given you;” He meant it. Therefore, this understanding should give you rest whenever you pray.

When you pray to the Father concerning anything, consider it done because Jesus said in John 14:13-14, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” Meditate on these things and it will give you a new attitude when you pray.

I will like to share a story with you about two men who were American missionaries who wanted to go to South Africa for missions. They prayed asking God to finance their missions trip, as they knelt down to pray, one of them stopped and slapped the other missionary on the back, and said, “God has answered.” And surely, He answered, because they got the money they asked for. The Bible says in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Therefore, whatsoever you desire from the Lord today, as you ask, believe that it is yours, then start thanking Him for it because it shall be manifested. Know that it is not when you see it, that you received it, you actually received it when you asked. The duration between when you see it and when you asked, is determined by your faith.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because according to your Word, he that believeth hath, therefore I declare that whatsoever I ask in the Name of Jesus today, I believe that it is done, and I rest from all my worries in Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Ask and it shall be given you that your joy may be full.

Pray the will of God

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”1 John 5:14(KJV)

In learning about prayer, we see that our confidence in prayer comes from knowing that whatsoever we ask the Father according to His will, He hears us. The question you may want to ask is, “how do I know the will of God?” The will of God is revealed to us in the Word of God. In the Bible, the will of God concerning everything is revealed to us.

In John 15:7, Jesus said, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” This means that if you abide in the Word, by filling your mind with the Word of God, then you shall ask what you will or desire, and it shall be done for you.

Effective prayer is a product of knowledge of the will of God as revealed in the Word of God. For instance, as you study the Word of God, you will understand that it is God's will for people to be healed(see 1 Peter 2:24), it is God's will that people be saved(see 1 Timothy 2:4), it is God's will that people be delivered(see Isaiah 49:25), it is God's will for you to have all your needs met(see Philippians 4:19), it is God's will for you to be delivered from all evil(see 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3), it is God's will for you to be able to fulfil His calling for your life(see 1 Thessaloinans 1:11), etc.

I encourage you to get into the Word for yourself so that you can know God's will, so that when you pray you are confident knowing that He hears you, and if He hears you, “… we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” 1 John 5:15. Praise God.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for I am filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Pray in line with the will of God revealed in the Word of God always.

No distance in the Spirit

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:23-24(KJV)

Today from our opening scripture we see from the words of the Lord Jesus that we are living in a day where God is seeking true worshipers who will worship Him in spirit and in truth because God is a Spirit.

Therefore, if God is a Spirit, it means that He is not limited by distance, He is everywhere at the same time. So, you can have fellowship with God at anytime and everywhere. It is not only when you pray in a Church building that God hears you. God is everywhere, and He hears you no matter where you are when you pray in the Name of Jesus.

For instance, I remember praying for someone in a studio and right there in the studio the presence of the Lord was so strong that the young man went under the power as I laid hands on him. Why do I get such results? It is because, if I have to pray, no matter where I am, it must come from my spirit, so I am confident the power of God is going to work right there. By the grace of God, at one time I prayed for two deaf and dumb ladies begging in front of an eatery in Yenagoa and both of them were healed instantly, they heard and spoke right there.

Child of God, the power of God is not limited or restricted to the Church building, you carry the power of God in you, and you can see the power of God manifested wherever you are when you pray in the Name of Jesus.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because I am strengthened with miracle working ability by the Holy Spirit in my inner man, and I desire that my whole being be filled and flooded with divinity in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Do not hesitate to pray for the sick or to put a demand on the anointing for miracles wherever you find yourself today.

Pray in the Spirit

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” Ephesians 6:18(KJV)

As a child of God, it is important you recognize that there is a required way to pray. Our prayer should come from the spirit. God does not expect us to offer our prayers in the flesh. This is why the Bible admonishes us to pray always with every kind of prayer and request in the Spirit.

Therefore, not only should we pray from our spirit, we ought also to pray in the power of the Holy Spirit. You have to recognize that God has given us the Holy Spirit as our Helper. The Bible says in Romans 8:26-27, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

This shows you that when you yield to the power of the Holy Spirit in you to help you pray; especially as you pray in tongues as the Spirit gives you utterance, you will be able to effectively pray in line with the will of God concerning every request and with every kind of prayer. So one of the sure ways to effectively pray according to the will of God, is to pray in the Spirit.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I yield today to the power of the Holy Spirit to help me pray effectively according to the will of God concerning every request and with every prayer. May my prayers today ascend to You as incense sanctified of the Spirit, in Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Schedule a time today, either in the morning, at noon or in the evening to build up yourself on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

Pray with a specific desire

“Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.”
Romans 10:1(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that Paul the Apostle prayed from his heart. He declared what his heart desire was as he prayed. What about you, is that how you pray? Is your heart in your prayer? Before you start praying, what is your expectation? Have you already decided what you wanted?

Do not pray with a heart that is undecided. You ought to pray with a specific desire in your heart. Decide on what you expect to see manifested before you start praying.

Jesus teaching us how to pray in Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Therefore, from the above scripture, we see that if your desire is not stated or clear when you pray, your faith will not be activated to receive anything, and if you have not believed you received anything, you cannot have anything. In other words, praying without an expectation or a specific desire in faith from your heart will not produce any result. So with this principle you have learnt today, pray the right way.

PRAYER
Dear Father, my heart desire and prayer for every member of my family and believers everywhere is for them to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for their lives today and always in Jesus Name. Amen.

John 15:7, Colossians 4:12, James 1:5.

DOING THE WORD
If you have any other specific desire in your heart, pray about it right now and receive it by faith.

Pray earnestly

“… The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”
James 5:16(AMP)

Today, I encourage you to always pray from your heart, that is from your spirit, because your heart is the center of life. It is the life center. Therefore, whenever you pray from your heart, you are releasing life from your spirit into your body and to all that your prayer is directed towards.

This is what happens especially when you pray in the Spirit in other tongues. As you spend time praying in other tongues, you will feel power flowing in you. Remember, that the Bible says in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: …” So as you pray concerning any issue in the Holy Ghost, you are stirring up that power that is already inside of you and directing it to produce results on your behalf concerning what you are praying about. The Bible says in our opening scripture that such praying makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

Therefore, if you want your prayers to be effectual and fervent, you must learn to always pray the will of God with your heart. The Bible says in James 5:17, “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.”

We can produce the same results today, if we follow the same principle and pray earnestly from our hearts.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for giving me the gift of the Holy Spirit who enables me to pray the will of God at all times, thank you Father, for I am filled with power right now by the Spirit of God to effect changes in every area of my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Romans 8:26-28, Ephesians 6:18.

DOING THE WORD
Take some time to pray in the Spirit and direct the power of God to any area of your life where you want to see a change.

Pray with all your heart

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13(KJV)

Our opening scripture is showing us a principle in the Word of God that will always produce results. The question I will like to ask you right now is this, “Do you pray with all your heart?” A lot of people pray everyday and in different places, but they do not pray from their hearts. They just pray as a religious activity.

If you want your prayer to always produce results, you must learn to always pray from your heart. It is important you know that if your prayer doesn't come from your heart it is only an exercise in futility.

For instance, some people religiously pray in the morning before they leave their house that God's presence should go with them, but if in the course of their day, it happened that they heard a gun shot, immediately they hear it, fear grips their hearts, forgetting that God is with them to shield them from all evil, so they begin to make the wrong confessions based on their fear which negates all the prayer they had prayed earlier.

Therefore when you pray today, asking the Lord to take charge of your day and for His presence to go everywhere with you, don't lose that consciousness. Keep your heart rested in that assurance that God is with you, therefore, you should be confident knowing that no evil shall befall you and no plague shall come near you because all His enemies fall back at His presence. (See Psalm 9:3)

PRAYER
Precious Father I thank you because I dwell safely all my days, no evil shall befall me or any member of my family, and no plague shall come near our dwelling, we are protected from the arrows that flies by day and the destruction that wasteth at noonday it shall not come near us because we are blessed in our going out and coming in, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Psalm 91:1-16.

DOING THE WORD
Be conscious of God's presence with you 24hours a day everyday of your life.

Pray with Confidence

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”
1 John 5:14(KJV)

Our opening scripture lets us know that we should pray with confidence because we know we are dealing with God; He is the all powerful One(Ephesians 6:10). Therefore, when you pray, your prayer doesn't work because of how powerful your prayer is, your prayer works because of how powerful your God is. This is because, the reason why it worked is because it touched God.

So, whenever you pray don't pray like the heathen the Bible talks about in Matthew 6:7 who think that they shall be heard because of their much speaking. No, when you pray, pray to your Father knowing that He wants to hear and answer your prayer.

The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11-12, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.”

The Lord Jesus functioned with this understanding and confidence when He prayed on earth. When He stood before the grave of Lazarus in John 11:41-42, He said, “…Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: …” That is the same understanding and confidence we ought to exude when we pray to the Father.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for I know that you have heard me because you hear me always, therefore in the name of Jesus, I thank you for you give unto me wisdom and an understanding heart to do your will, working in me that which is well pleasing in your sight in Jesus Name. Amen.
