Your primary mission.

“You are the salt of the world…” 
Matthew 5:13(ISV)

As a child of God be conscious knowing that you are the salt of the earth. One of the characteristics of salt is to preserve. This means that God has raised you to preserve this world from decadence. In other words, the Church is the only hope of the world.

We must not forget the primary responsibility and mission we have as the salt of the world, it is to save the world and to preserve them from destroying themselves. If we turn away from that responsibility and mission, we would lose our influence. So if the Church is going to remain relevant in our world today, then soul winning must be our priority collectively and as individuals.

The Message Bible puts Matthew 5:13 this way, “Let me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You've lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.”
