The Consciousness Of God In You

“For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves” Romans 2:14
From the above scripture we see that even though God did not give the Gentiles the law, they knew what was right and what was wrong and they could differentiate between both. Why? The
consciousness of God is in every man.
Now someone may come to ask and say; “Pastor since you know you are going to get married to the person you are dating, is it a sin if you begin to sleep with yourselves?” Now, for you to ask that question it means you already know that it is wrong, but you want to suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
Someone else may ask; “Pastor is it right for a man to marry two wives? You know the Bible talks about David marrying many wives and Solomon married many wives”. The Bible says from the beginning, it was not so. When God made Adam, it was not Adam and Eves. It was Adam and Eve. (See Genesis 2:21-24)
The Bible says in our opening scripture that the Gentiles did by nature the things contained in the law. That tells us there is a message in nature. Everyone knows what is wrong within them. They know that stealing is wrong without the law telling them that it is wrong. This lets us know that the law has been written in our hearts. (See Romans 2:15) That is why your conscience convicts you when you do wrong. When you stole, your conscience
convicted you because the law is written in your heart.
If we will become sincere with ourselves, living right will become easy. Stop making an excuse for not living right. If you are struggling, examine yourself; what kind of books do you read, what kind of movies do you watch, and what kind of people do you hang around with? If you would make the necessary adjustments, you will see the changes. “… evil communications corrupt good manners.” I Corinthians 15: 33. So read the right books, be careful about the movies you watch; because those movies are your teachers; they are trying to communicate an ideology to you. You also have to listen to godly music because listening to worldly music would stir up the wrong passions inside you.
Guard your heart, because what goes into your heart is what you will think about, and what you think about is what you will desire.
Confession.
Dear Father, I ask that my love will abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; that I may approve things that are excellent; that I may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
For further study, read:
Jeremiah 31:33-34, Ezekiel 11:19-20, Ezekiel 36:26-27.
Doing the Word
Guard your heart. Get rid of the wrong books, movies and music that you have, and replace them with Christian books, movies and music that will build you up in Christ.

You Are A New Creation.

“So then, from now on we do not think of anyone from a human point of view. Even if we did think of Christ from a human point of view, we don't think of him that way any more.”
2 Corinthians 5:16(ISV)
Brothers and sisters in Christ, it is high time we stop judging ourselves according to our natural birth or surrounding circumstances. Jesus said in John15:19, “… ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world…” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18a (ALT) say,
“Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; the old [things] passed away, look!, all [things] have become new. And all these [things are] of God,”
We are new creations now, and because we are new creations in Christ, we do not judge ourselves by our natural birth anymore being new creatures. All things, including our spiritual and moral condition, have become new. We are new on the inside, having a new heart and a new spirit.
The Bible says that all these things are of God. Thus all these new things are of God, who has brought divinity into us today. Everything inside of us now is of divine origin. The Bible lets us know in John 1:13 that as new creatures, who are sons of God, he says we “… were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Now that we have been born of God, it therefore means that the life of God is in us. 1 John 5: 11-13 say, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
Therefore, we have become more than mere human beings because, the ability as well as the nature of God is inside of us today as a result of the new birth in Christ. So, do not judge yourself by natural circumstances anymore. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:18(BBE), “While our minds are not on the things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are for a time; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” You may not see it with your physical eyes, but God is in you. Become God-inside-minded. So, judge yourself by what the Word of God says and not by what the world sees.
Confession.
I am what God says I am. I choose to see myself the way God sees me. I am more than a man because the nature and the ability of God are at work in me and through me. I declare that the life as well as the ability of God in me is subduing my human nature and desires even as I learn to live with the consciousness of who I am in Christ.
For further study, read:
2 Corinthians 3:4-6, Titus 3:3-7, 1 Peter 2:9-10.

Know God As Father

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3
In the heart of everyone, there is the search for a Father. This is because, in the heart of every man or woman, there is the desire for affirmation.
You cannot get this affirmation from anywhere else other than your heavenly Father. This is why you need to know God as Father.
Knowing God as Father will put an end to your search for affirmation. Therefore, nobody will be able to intimidate you or make you compromise your faith. This is because, your allegiance would be to your Father from whom you get your affirmation. When your life is lived in this way, obeying God becomes easy. Living right also becomes easy. Why? You have met your Father.
I John 2:24(GW) says, “Make sure that the message you heard from the beginning lives in you. If that message lives in you, you will also live in the Son and in the Father.” Therefore, if the Word of God abides in you it will be impossible for you to backslide from the faith. So, if you don't want to fall away from the faith, continue in the knowledge of the Father and Jesus Christ.
Some other benefits of continuing in the Word of God are as follows: It will cause the Zoe life of God to inundate your entire being. It will keep you in health, such that you will not need to pray for healing. You will live in perpetual wholeness in your spirit, soul and body. This is because knowing God and Jesus Christ is life eternal. (See John 17:3)
Prayer.
Dear Father, as I set my heart to know You, may
my spirit, soul and body be inundated with Your life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Proverbs 4:20-22, 1 John 1:1-4, I John 5:20

Your True Identity.

“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.” 1 John 5:1
You can only discover who you truly are by divine revelation. When you really have a revelation of who you are in Christ, with an inward certainty of the Biblical fact that God is working in you, you will never be afraid.
Most Christians are not looking within to the Word of God to know who they are in Christ. According to the scriptures, we are sons of God now (See 1 John 3:2). 1 John 4:4(ISV) says, “Little children, you belong to God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” Therefore, in Christ, you have overcome the world.
In 1 John 5:4, the Bible lets us know that everyone who is born of God has overcome the world and our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Our faith in what God has revealed in His Word about who we are is what makes us overcomers. We will not overcome until we believe and act in line with our redemptive privileges.
Romans 1:17 says, “… The just shall live by faith.” How does faith come? Romans 10:17 says, “… faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Faith is an inward conviction of the certainty of the written Word. Therefore, faith is a product of revelation or accurate knowledge from the Word of God.
So, I encourage you to live your life based on what God has revealed in His Word concerning you, understanding all your rights and authority you now possess in Him today.
Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I have overcome this world because I am born of God. I declare that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Therefore, greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Amen.

Jesus Is The Way

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
From our opening scripture, we see the Lord Jesus saying to us that He is the way. He did not say, I am a way. No, He used a definite article saying, “I am the way”. He was certain of the truth of what He was saying. That means if you want to get to the Father, there is no other way outside of Jesus.
I remember someone said to me many years ago that it is either Jesus is really the Son of God or He was insane. Then he said he would rather believe that Jesus is the Son God, having observed the character and the fruit of His life.
Jesus also said He is the truth and the life. You would agree with me that such statements cannot be said by an ordinary human being about himself. When Jesus says He is the life, He is saying that He is the essence of all creation. He is saying that without Him, there is no life. He also said, “No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” So, without Jesus, you cannot know the Father.
“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” 1 John 2:22-23
Magnify the Name and the Person of Jesus wherever you go. He is the way, the truth and the life. If you refuse to acknowledge Jesus, you do not have the Father, but if you acknowledge Jesus, you have the Father also.
Confession.
Dear Father, I acknowledge Jesus as the only Way, the Truth and the Life. I will boldly declare at all times that He is Lord. I will always acknowledge and magnify His Name and His Person everywhere I go in honour of You.

Luke 10:16, John 5:23, John 15:23.

“For this cause the Jews had an even greater desire to put Jesus to death, because not only did he not keep the Sabbath but he said God was his Father, so making himself equal with God.”
John 5:18(BBE)
Jesus had no identity crisis because He knew who He was. He knew that God was His Father. This is one of the reasons for the extraordinary feats accomplished through His life. He was always conscious of the Fatherhood of God and was always conscious of His Sonship.
He did not look to outward manifestations to convince Himself that He was the Son of God. This was why when the devil said to Him in Luke 4:3(CEV), “…. If you are God's Son, tell this stone to turn into bread,” Jesus knew better. He knew that changing stones into bread will not convince Him that He was the Son of God, any more than my blinking would convince me that I am human.
Jesus knew who He was, because He had a revelation of Himself. The reason for the weaknesses in the lives of some Christians today, is because they lack a revelation of who God has made them in Christ.
The Bible says to us in 1 John 3:1-2, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
We are sons of God now; presently, not in the future.
The Bible says in John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
Since we are His sons, God also has become a Father unto us just as He was to Jesus. 2 Corinthians 6:18(NIV) says, “"I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."”

Knowing The Father
07:23

“And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, The one and only true God, And Jesus Christ, whom you sent.”
John 17:3(MSG)
A lot of people do not know who the Father is because they do not know Jesus. As a result, most times they are scared whenever they want to ask the Father for anything.
There are lots of sinners who would have been born again today, but they are scared to come to the Father because nobody showed them Jesus. Jesus came to show us the Father.
“Jesus said, "I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You've even seen him!"” John 14:6-7(MSG) So, if you get to know Jesus you will come to know the Father.
There are people who have erroneously believed that God cannot use them because of the terrible sins they committed in their past. As a result such people continue to live in self-condemnation and guilt. But as they get to know Jesus from the Bible and see how He forgave a woman that was caught in the very act of adultery, their faith would be stirred and their confidence in God's love would be increased. (See John 8:10-11)
Jesus said, “I have not spoken on my own. Instead, the Father who sent me told me what I should say and how I should say it. I know that what he commands is eternal life. Whatever I say is what the Father told me to say."
John 12:49-50(GWT) Therefore, if Jesus forgave the woman caught in the very act of adultery and told her to go and sin no more without condemning her, it means that God is not the one condemning you if you feel condemned. John 3:17(TLB) says, “God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.” The Father wants to save, not condemn, you. Get ready to learn more about your heavenly Father and His love for you in this month's devotional. God bless you.
Prayer.
Dear Father, from this day forward, I choose to accept Your everlasting love for me. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ to die for me, to save and to purchase me with His blood. I ask that you grant unto me a revelation of Your everlasting love for me even as I desire to know You more in this month, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer.

I ask that you grant unto me a revelation of Your everlasting love for me even as I desire to know You more in this month, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
