Frame your year.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
Colossians 1:16(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we understand that God's creative power is in Jesus because according to Matthew 16:16, Jesus is the Christ, and Jesus who is the Christ is the Word of God made flesh. John 1:14 says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”

John 1:1-3 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” So, it is evident that the Word of God has God's creative ability in it.

Therefore as you are about to enter into year 2013, enter the year with this understanding that God's creative ability is in you because Christ is in you. Then, load yourself up with the word of God, until it comes out of your mouth. Then you can with those words frame your year. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:3, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

Therefore, if God framed this world that we see with His word, then you can also frame your year and the circumstances of your life with the word of God. The word framed also means to repair or to mend. In other words, through the word of God in your mouth, you can repair or mend anything; including your body, circumstances or even the year with the word of God.

The word framed in Hebrews 1:3, also means to restore. This means that if you seek any form of restoration in any area of your life, you can call forth that restoration with the word of God. Get the word (scriptures) that deals with that specific situation and speak the word of God to that situation and demand a restoration. And the Lord says to you, “I will give you back what you lost in the years … Now you will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied. You will praise the LORD your God, who has done wonderful things for you. My people will never be despised again.” Joel 2:25,26 (GNB). Amen.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I believe your word to me. Your creative ability is in me because Christ is in me. Therefore, as I speak what I desire to see in the coming year, so shall it be unto me in the Name of Jesus. I bless the year 2013 with your goodness. May the year release favour and prosperity unto me. The year shall bring fruitfulness and productivity. Thank you Father for increased productivity in my spiritual life, in my mind and in my body. It shall be an acceptable year of the Lord, a year of dominion shall it be unto me. Amen.

Christ is in you.

“For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell”
Colossians 1:19(KJV)

In Christ dwells all the deposits and wealth of God's wisdom and knowledge. This means that all fullness is in Christ. In other words, Christ is completely filled with all of God.

This is why the scriptures tells us in Colossians 1:27, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” Colossians 2:3(GW) also says, “God has hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Christ.” So, in Christ dwells all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Also, in Christ dwells all the completeness of the Godhead, nothing is left out, everything in God with all the blessings, gifts and abilities, are all in Christ. The Bible tells us that this Christ is in you.

If Christ is in you, it means that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge dwells in you. Also, all the completeness of the Godhead, with nothing left out, everything in God with all His blessings, gifts and abilities are inside of you. What a blessing we have received. The Bible calls it a mystery. Everybody does not know this. But if you would only come to understand this secret, being aware of it and daily living with this consciousness that Christ is in you, the Bible says, it is the hope of glory.

In other words, living with this consciousness that Christ is in you, will birth in you the completeness and the perfections of the divine nature (that is the doxa of God, which is the glory of God) in you.
With this understanding, you can see that the Christian is complete, you do not lack anything. There is nothing that you need that is not already in you today, because Christ is in you. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption” “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29.
“Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.” 1 Corinthians 3:21-23.

CONFESSION
All fullness is in Christ. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge is in Christ. And all of God's glory is in Christ, and according to the scriptures; Christ is in me and I am complete in Christ. therefore, all the fullness of God is in me, and I am completely filled with God Himself. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are at work in me now. All the blessings, gifts and abilities of God are working in me now. Christ is my wisdom, He is my righteousness, my sanctification and my redemption, and all things are mine because I am Abraham's seed. Glory to God.

DOING THE WORD
“… Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Saturday, 29 December 2012

God is at work in you.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Philippians 2:13(KJV)

You are not alone; God is in you, energizing you and producing in you the desires and the ability to do His good pleasure. God is working in you, talking in you, talking through you and loving through you.
God is at work in you.

You have become God's headquarters on earth today. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:16, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” You have been made God's outreach centre to your world. You are God's point of contact and He wants to reach your world through you. God is within their reach because you are there.

In 2 Corinthians 3:5-6, the Bible says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” In our own selves and ability, we are not able to reach our world with God's power and do His good pleasure, but because He is now

at work in us, we have become qualified and enabled to reach our world with His power and to do His good pleasure. Now, they can find Christ in you because Galatians 3:27(ALT) says, “For as many as were baptized [or, immersed] into Christ put on [or, clothed yourselves with] Christ.”

When Christ was here on earth carrying out His ministry, the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:19 that, “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself …” Today, the Bible says that Christ lives in you (Colossians 1:27). If Christ lives in you, it means that He will continue to carry out His ministry of reconciling the world to God through you, that is why the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:20 says, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

CONFESSION
Christ in me the hope of glory. God was in Christ and Christ is in me. I am not trying to reach God; He is already resident in me. I am His home, His abode, His dwelling place. I cannot leave Him because I carry Him in me wherever I go. The presence and the power of God in me, twenty four hours a day every day of my life. Praise God.

We have delegated authority.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Mark 16:17-18(KJV)

We have divine immunity in the Name of Jesus. The authority of Jesus has been delegated to us in His Name. For He said in our opening scripture, “… In my name shall they cast out devils …”

Through the authority that we have in the Name of Jesus, we have become a victorious and a triumphant Church. For the word of God declares in Luke 10:17, “… even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” We are not afraid of devils because they are our subjects. They are slaves unto us in the Name of Jesus, therefore they obey every command from us.

The greater One is inside of you. You are not a weakling, you are a victor because the Christ who whipped the devil, sin, sickness, disease and poverty is in us today. This means that we are more than a match for any devil.

The Bible says in 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” In Romans 8:37, the Bible says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Therefore we are more than conquerors because the all conquering One is in us today.

CONFESSION
I am more than a conqueror because the victorious Christ who conquered death, the devil, sin, sickness, disease, poverty, fear, and all the power of the enemy lives in me today, and He has given me the legal right to use His all conquering Name on earth. In that name, I have authority to command obedience of things in heaven, of things on the earth and of things under the earth, because Jesus is Lord.

DOING THE WORD
Exercise your authority in the Name of Jesus.

Jesus is Lord.

“And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:”
 Romans 1:4 (KJV)

The divinity of Jesus Christ was fully demonstrated by His resurrection from the dead. God has declared Him to be His Son with power, that all men may know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in truth.

All other false Prophets who have laid claims to divinity are all dead, but Jesus Christ is the Lord of hell and death. Jesus said in Matthew 28:18 after He rose from death, He said, “All
power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

Jesus has risen from the dead and destroyed (made ineffective), him that had the power of death, that is the devil according to Hebrews 2:14-15 which says, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

The Lord Jesus Christ totally defeated and paralyzed the devil. He not only defeated the devil but He also delivered us from the fear of death. 2 Timothy 1:9-10 says, “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”

Colossians 2:15 talking about Jesus says, “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” The forces of hell are powerless against us. They have been made ineffective, and they have been rendered completely helpless and useless. The authority is now in the hands of the church because He has sent us as His legal representatives backed up by resurrection power (Matthew 28:18-20)

CONFESSION
I have power and authority from Christ over all the power and ability of the enemy because I am in Christ and Christ is in me. I am His legal representative on the earth therefore, nothing shall be impossible unto me, and I can do all things through the power of the resurrected Christ in me.

We have received of His fullness.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
  Acts 10:38(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. By so doing, He was manifesting the goodness of God. He went about doing good; demonstrating the virtues and perfections of God.

Jesus Christ was the glory of God personified according to Hebrews 1:1-3, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”

Jesus is the glory of God personified, and all of us who have received of His life, have received of His fullness. The Bible says in John 1:16, “And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” This means that God's glory is in us today. Therefore, we have received grace and the ability to do good works and also to demonstrate the virtues and the perfections of God.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Therefore, Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Titus 2:13-14 says, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

CONFESSION
For I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar person, to show forth the excellence and the virtues of Him who has called me out of darkness into His marvelous life.

1 Peter 2:12, 1 Corinthians 1:5, Ephesians 4:7, Colossians 2:9-10.

DOING THE WORD

He gave us His son.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that the birth of Jesus Christ was foretold by the Prophet Isaiah many years before He was born as a child into this world.

The Bible says in Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Immanuel means; God with us. This means that Jesus brought the presence and the revelation of the Father to us.

In Luke 1:35, the Bible says, “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Jesus is the son of God in truth. He was sent by God into this world to save sinners. Jesus said in His own words in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus came to save sinners and to give eternal life to as many that will believe on Him. John 10:10-11 says, “… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” Jesus manifested the greatest love to us when he gave His life for us as the sacrifice for our sins. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13. 1 John 2:2(ALT) says, “And _He_ is [the] propitiation [or, appeasing sacrifice] concerning our sins, but not concerning ours only, _but_ also concerning the whole world's!” Jesus died for the whole world.

John 3:25(GNB) says, “God offered him, so that by his blood he should become the means by which people's sins are forgiven through their faith in him. God did this in order to demonstrate that he is righteous. In the past he was patient and overlooked people's sins; but in the present time he deals with their sins, in order to demonstrate his righteousness. In this way God shows that he himself is righteous and that he puts right everyone who believes in Jesus.”

CONFESSION
Father I thank you for loving me and sending Jesus my Lord, to die and save me. Today, I acknowledge what He did for me over two thousand years ago, and I am forever greatful that He died for me, He was buried for me and he was raised again on the third day for my justification. Today I live as a child of God and as a new creature because of Him. I love you Jesus.

Do you believe?

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life …”      John 3:36(KJV)

From our opening scripture, it is evident to us that believing is the key to receiving from God.

Romans 10:11-14 says, “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

This is why this devotional has come to you with God's 'Now Word' for your salvation, and if you will would only believe you will be able to receive and take a hold of all that God has in store for you in Christ Jesus.

Believing in Christ Jesus sets you free from all condemnation (John 3:18, John 5:24). The blessing of believing in Jesus is enormous. In Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Your believing is what determines if you will get answers to your prayers or not. Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” So, the man who does not believe would not receive.

If you believe, you will do the works that Jesus did and even greater. Jesus said in John 14:12, “Verily ,verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
We receive remission of our sins because we believe. Acts 10:43 says, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” We are justified by believing in Jesus. Romans 3:26 says, “To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

Therefore from the above, we see that believing is required to receive from God. In view of this, we ought to maintain our believing in Christ. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

CONFESSION
I am a believer and not a doubter. I believe that God is who He says He is, I believe that God can do what He says He can do and I believe that God will do what He says He will do. I am what God says I am, I have what God says I have and I can do what God says I can do.

The Rebirth.

“Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; the old [things] passed away, look!, all [things] have become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17(ALT)

Our opening scripture shows us the revelation of the New Birth. It is the actual rebirth of the human spirit. We become new creatures without a past, because the old has passed away and all things have become new.

1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” So, being born again is being born of God by the action of the word upon the man's spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit. A born again person is truly of divine origin. He is an offspring of God. The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: …”

Just as Jesus Christ was a child of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18), we also are born of the Spirit. John 3:5-7 says, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

If you are not born again, you can get born again right now and become a new creation in Christ free from all your past sins and the sin nature. All you need to do is to receive the salvation gift which Jesus Christ offers to you today.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

If you believe in your heart the Lord Jesus and you want to make Him your Lord and personal Saviour today please pray this prayer, “O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. Amen.”

DOING THE WORD
Now that you are born again, you are a child of God and the ability of God is in you to live the Christian life.

Go for the word.

“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”
Acts 20:32(KJV)

Having an accurate, precise and concise knowledge of the word of God is the key to enjoying our inheritance in Christ. As we receive knowledge of the word of God, we are continuously been built by the word which delivers our inheritance in Christ to us..

The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:4, “… he has given us his precious and wonderful promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature …” This lets us know that through the knowledge of His wonderful promises which are revealed to us in the word of God, we are able to actively share and have fellowship in divinity.

In other words, we are able to participate in divinity through clear knowledge of the word of God. For instance, it is from the word of God that we are able to know that when we believed in Jesus Christ, we became sons of God (John 1:12-13). If we are sons of God it therefore means that His nature is in us. That means at the new birth, we became partakers of the divine nature because we were born of God.

I John 3:1-3 says to us, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God,and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”

Therefore, go for the word of God because it is Biblical, scriptural, word-based revelation that will usher us into the fullness of what God has for us.

CONFESSION
Father, I rejoice over your word because your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. By acting on your word, I have escaped the corruption that is in this world by been a partaker of the divine nature. The word is building me up and delivering my inheritance to me.

Knowing Truth.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32(KJV)

You cannot receive from God without revealed knowledge. It is only what is revealed to you that you can receive.

I Corinthians 2:9-12 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”

God reveals things to us by His Spirit so that we can partake of them. He wants us to become aware and understand the good things He has made available to us in Christ, for as we do, we will be liberated from all that binds and from all weaknesses. Knowing the truth will cause us to experience and to maintain our deliverance in Christ. Knowing the truth will also help us to know about our inheritance in Christ and how to take advantage of it.

2 Peter 2:2-3 says, “May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the full [or, true] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, [fig., seeing that] His divine power has given to us all the [things] pertaining to life and godliness through the full [or, true] knowledge of the One having called us by glory and moral excellence,”

Therefore, we can have in our lives a multiplied measure of grace and peace, and the power of God functioning on our behalf for the supply of all things that pertains to life and godliness through the full, precise, and accurate knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER
Father, I thank you for your grace and peace is multiplied unto me as I increase in the precise and accurate knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You have life and light in Christ 2.

“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
Acts 26:18(KJV)

At the new birth; when a person gets born again, that is when your spiritual eyes are open. That is when the life of God that enlightens a man's spirit comes in. The Lord Jesus said in John 9:39, “…For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see …”

When you begin to see as God wants you to see, in line with His word, the mundane things of this world that use to be important to you now becomes absolute nonsense.

Paul the Apostle in Philippians 3:7-9 says, “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Any man that has not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is still in darkness whether He knows it or not. He may even be educated or may even be zealous and religious like Saul before he received salvation (Galatians 1:13-16). Until you receive Christ as Lord and Saviour, you are not saved neither are you enlightened as far as God is concerned. Such a person is still in darkness until now.

The Bible testifying about Jesus in John 1:9-12 says, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”

Jesus Christ is the only true light. Every other lights, christs or religion outside of Jesus Christ is false. 1 John 4:1-3 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”

PRAYER
I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, and I believe that He is the true Light and that He came in the flesh to save me by His life. Now, I have the light of life because I have received the life of God into my spirit. That life has brought enlightenment to my mind and vitality to my mortal body by His Spirit that lives in me. Amen.

You have life and light in Christ.1

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
John 1:1, 4(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we can see that God and His Word are one. Secondly, in the Word, is life and the life is the light of men.

Then the Bible goes on to tell us in John 1:14 that, “… the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us …” The Word was what became the man, Jesus Christ. That is why the Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

It is important for you to understand that until a man receives eternal life, he is spiritually blind. He cannot receive insight into spiritual things. The natural unregenerate man is in the dark as far as God is concerned. God cannot reveal His knowledge to him because the revelation of God is supernaturally communicated.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” This is so because 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Therefore, receiving the gospel is therefore receiving light. This is why 2 Corinthians 4:6 says, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” When a man has received eternal life by confessing the Lordship of Jesus Christ over His life, that is when the man can truly see.

PRAYER
Father, I thank you for your word which I have received into my spirit. You word have brought life and light to me. May the eyes of my spiritual understanding be flooded with the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus. In Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
Once you lived in the dark, but now the Lord has filled you with light. Live as children who have light. Ephesians 5:8 (GW).

You are a new creation.

“So then, from now on we do not think of anyone from a human point of view. Even if we did think of Christ from a human point of view, we don't think of him that way any more.”
2 Corinthians 5:16(ISV)

Brothers and sisters in Christ, it is high time we stop judging ourselves according to our natural birth or surrounding circumstances. Jesus said in John 15:19, “… ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world…” 2 Corinthians 5:17,18a (ALT) says, “Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; the old [things] passed away, look!, all [things] have become new. And all these [things are] of God,”

We are new creations now, and because we are new creations in Christ, we do not judge ourselves by our natural birth anymore because we are new creatures. All things: including our spiritual and moral condition has become new. We are new on the inside; having a new heart and a new spirit.

The Bible says that all these things are of God. Thus all these new things are of God, who has brought divinity into us today. Everything inside of us now is of divine origin. The Bible lets us know in John 1:13 that as new creatures, who are sons of God, he says that we “… were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Now that we have been born of God, it therefore means that the life of God is in us. 1 John 5: 11-13 says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Therefore, we have become more than mere human beings because the ability and the nature of God is inside of us today as a result of the new birth in Christ. So, do not judge yourself by natural circumstances anymore. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:18(BBE), “While our minds are not on the things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are for a time; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” You may not see it with your physical eyes, but God is in you. Become God-inside-minded. So, judge yourself by what the word says and not by what the world sees.

CONFESSION
I am what God says I am. I choose to see myself the way God sees me. I am more than a man because the nature and the ability of God are at work in me and through me. I declare that the life and ability of God in me is subduing by human nature and desires even as I learn to live with the consciousness of who I am in Christ.

Be Conscious of Your Sonship. 2

“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.” 1 John 5:1 (KJV).

You can only discover who you truly are by divine revelation. When you really have a revelation of who you are in Christ, with an inward certainty of the Biblical fact that God is working in you, you will never be afraid.

Most Christians are not looking within to the word of God to know who they are in Christ. We are sons of God now (1 john 3:2). 1 John 4:4 (ISV) says, “Little children, you belong to God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

In John 5:4, the Bible lets us know that everyone who is born of God has overcome the world and our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Our faith is what God has revealed in His word about who we are. That is what makes us overcomers. We will not overcome until we believe and act in line with our redemptive privileges.

Faith is an inward conviction of the certainty of the written word. Therefore faith is a product of revelation: accurate knowledge. This is because, “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Therefore, the Bible says in Romans 1:17, “…the just shall live by faith.”

Therefore, live according to your faith based on what God has revealed in His word concerning you, understanding all the rights and authority you now possess in HIM today.

CONFESSION
Dear Father I thank you because I have overcome this world because I am born of God. I declare that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Therefore greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

Be conscious of your Sonship. 1

“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.”
John 5:18(KJV).

Jesus had no identity crisis, he knew who He was. He knew that God Himself was His Father. This is one of the reasons for the extraordinary feats accomplished through His life. He was always conscious of the Fatherhood of God and He was always conscious of His Sonship.

He didn't look to outward manifestations to convince Him that He was the Son of God. This was why when He was been tempted by the devil who said to Him in Luke 4:3, “If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.” But Jesus knew better. He knew that changing stones into bread will not convince Him that He was the Son of God, any more than my blinking would convince me that I am human.

Jesus knew who He was, because He had a revelation of Himself.  The reason for the weaknesses in the lives of some Christians today, is because they lack a revelation of who God has made them in Christ.

The Bible says to us in 1 John 3:1-2, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

We are sons of God now; presently, not in the future. The Bible says in John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” Since we are His sons, God also have become a Father unto us just as He was to Jesus. 2 Corinthians 6:18 says, “And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

CONFESSION
God is my Father and I am His son. He has made me His own because I have believed in Jesus. Therefore, I have received the right and ability to become the son of God because I believe in His Name.

For further study read:
Galatians 3:26, Galatians 4:5-7, Ephesians 1:5.

DOING THE WORD
Live your life conscious of your identity in Christ. You are the son of God.

Christ the Lord.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:11(KJV)

The angel called Jesus a Saviour, Christ the Lord. there was no guesses about it that Jesus is the Lord Himself. The Lord is Jehovah. And the angel that announced the birth of Jesus called Him, “… Christ the Lord.”

All through the prophetic writings of Isaiah, it is made clear to the earnest seeker of Biblical truth that Jehovah the Lord, continually calls Himself Israel's Saviour. In Isaiah 43:3,11 Jehovah Himself said, “For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: … I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”

John 1:1,14 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us …” Now that the Word (God) has become flesh, the message of the promised redemption has become man – the redeemer Himself. God Himself became our redeemer.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
Elizabeth called Mary in Luke 1:43, “… the mother of my Lord …” This tells us that Jesus Christ is Jehovah revealed to the senses. Also, comparing Elizabeth's testimony concerning Jesus with the Angel's proclamation in our opening scripture, we see that Jesus is both Lord and Christ.

The Name Jesus means Jehovah is the Saviour or simply Jehovah saves. In Luke 2:26, Jesus is referred to as the Lord's Christ. That is the Lord's Anointed one. Jesus Christ is salvation revealed. He is redemption fulfilled.

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I believe with all my heart that Jesus is Jehovah. He is the Word of God made flesh. He is the only true God and eternal life.

DOING THE WORD
All men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. John 5:23.

True Revelation.

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”
Matthew 16:17(KJV)

You cannot know Jesus without a revelation from the Father Himself. This is why when Peter declared in Matthew 16:16, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered in our opening scripture saying, “flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” Thus, revelation is imparted to your spirit by the Father. A true revelation is divine in origin; it is not of human origin. It is not a child of reason.

Revelation bypasses your brain. It is a result of the work of the Holy Spirit upon a man's spirit to shine the light of understanding in him. We have so much knowledge today, so we need revelation in the knowledge of what we know. When we have that insight or revelation into these divine truths, it is then we can fully take advantage of these knowledge.

Jesus can only be known by revelation. This is the reason why even after all the miracles He did before the Jews, the Jewish people of His day could still crucify Him because they did not have a precise revelation of who He was. This was why Jesus said on the cross, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34) Therefore, true authentic and divine revelation is the cure of all erroneous misconceptions.

PRAYER
I ask that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full [or, true and accurate] knowledge of Him. In Jesus Name. Amen.

The Word of Truth.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15(KJV)

The Bible here is called the word of truth. This means that any doctrine that is been preached that cannot be found or does not have its origin in the scriptures is blatant error.

In our opening scripture, the Bible tells us that the workman who studies will rightly divide the word of truth. That means he will teach and interpret accurately the word of truth. Therefore, an unstudious workman will wrongly divide the word of truth. This means that being studious in the word of God would make you skillful in Biblical interpretation.

The Lord speaking about the Apostle Paul in Acts 9:15 to Ananias says, “he is a special vessel for me, to give to the Gentiles and kings and to the children of Israel the knowledge of my name:” Paul the Apostle speaking Himself in Romans 11:13(GW) says, “Now, I speak to you who are not Jewish. As long as I am an apostle sent to people who are not Jewish, I bring honor to my ministry.”

In 1 Timothy 2:7(GW), Paul says, “I was appointed to spread this Good News and to be an apostle to teach people who are not Jewish about faith and truth. I'm telling you the truth. I'm  not lying.” This means that Paul the Apostle has been sent and authorized by God to teach the truth of the gospel to the Gentiles or non-Jews, which includes us today.

Therefore, if we are going to know the truth concerning the gospel of Christ, we ought to study diligently the epistles of the Apostle Paul. This is not to say that we cannot be edified by reading the other epistles, but it is to remind us that as Christians, our emphasis should be in the New Testament.

PRAYER
Father I ask that whenever I study your word, you would grant unto me insight and revelation by your Spirit who will guide me into all truth in Jesus Name. Amen.

Go for knowledge.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge …”
Hosea 4:6(KJV)

Ignorance is weakness. Knowledge is strength. The Bible also says in Proverbs 24:5, “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” There is a strength that is imparted into you when you have knowledge. That strength is called confidence – this confidence produces in you a firm assurance or conviction in these truths that have been revealed to you in the word of God.

This is important because we can only enjoy our God-given authority over the cohorts of hell when we have a revelation of who Jesus really is. When we now Him, then we will
understand the power we have in His Name.

Paul the Apostle praying for the Ephesian Church in Ephesians 1:17(GW) prayed, “I pray that the glorious Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Christ better.” Why did Paul pray for them in this way? He lets us know what the spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowing Christ better will do for them and every child of God from Ephesians 1:18-23(GW), “Then you will have deeper insight. You will know the confidence that he calls you to have and the glorious wealth that God's people will inherit. You will also know the unlimited greatness of his power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers. He worked with that same power in Christ when he brought him back to life and gave him the highest position in heaven. He is far above all rulers ,authorities, powers, lords, and all other names that can be named, not only in this present world but also in the world to come. God has put everything under the control of Christ. He has made Christ the head of everything for the good of the church. The church is Christ's body and completes him as he fills everything in every way.”

Therefore, pray this prayer for yourself everyday because as you do, you would have the revelation of Christ. In other words, you would have an accurate, full, specific and precise knowledge of Christ.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I ask for a release of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, so that the eyes of my understanding may be enlightened, that I may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Access into grace.

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Romans 5:1-2(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that through our Lord Jesus Christ, we have access by faith into the grace of God. Therefore, as a result of our faith in Jesus Christ, we have found favour with God. We are accepted by the Father because of our faith in Jesus. We now have a right to all the blessings in the New Testament because we have come to know Christ. What an amazing grace, it reaches beyond the limits of human kindness.

Christianity is the unfolding of how much love the Father has demonstrated to mankind through the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the proclamation of how much love the Father has lavished on us. It is being welcomed into the Father's presence as though you have never sinned. That is love at its limits. This is extravagant grace.

When we come to the full understanding of the riches of grace the Father has lavished on us at the new birth, we will be full of thanks. Our eyes will be flooded with the tears of joy. Our lips will be filled with singing and our hearts thrilled with gladness. We will never know one down day when we taste the reality of God's extravagant grace.

What an amazing grace. Knowing that I have been made righteous (justified) because of my faith in Jesus Christ. Now, God calls me righteous because His righteousness has been lavished on me through faith in Christ. Romans 3:22 says, “Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”

CONFESSION
Faith in God's grace has made me the righteousness of God in Christ. I have been justified freely by the grace which is in Christ Jesus. Thank you Father for your extravagant grace and your limitless love towards me by the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, I am free from the law of sin and death. Amen.

The Better Testament.

“Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.”
Hebrews 8:6(ESV)

The New Testament is called the better testament based on better promises as we see in our opening scripture, and Jesus is the surety or the guarantee of the New Testament according to Hebrews 7:22. This means that the study of the New Testament will bring to us a better understanding of the better provisions that are available to us today.

Therefore, if we truly want to walk in the fullness of the blessings that Jesus brought, we must give more time and study to the New Testament. The New Testament will reveal to us our new identity in Christ, and let us know what God expects of us today.

So, until the Church (Christians), clinically investigates the New Testament constitution for Christian godly living, we will live below our inheritance. Therefore, let's find out what His will is for us today, by paying attention to the will he has written for us today in the word of God (The New Testament).

Romans 15:4 says, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” The Old Testament that is been referred to here was written for our learning, but God's will for us and what He expects from us today is revealed to us in the New Testament.
The New Testament with all the better promises that it has for us was ratified in the blood of Jesus. Luke 22:20(BBE) says, “And in the same way, after the meal, he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new testament, made with my blood which is given for you.” In other words, the New Testament is what is legally operative today and has been sealed by the blood of Jesus.

Knowing this, when you stand on any of the promises in the New Testament, know for sure that it is sure to come to pass because Jesus died and sealed this new covenant with His own blood, then He came back to life again to ensure that every good thing or promise in the New Testament is enjoyed by you today. Amen.

CONFESSION
Thank you Father for the better promises which you have made available to me in the New Testament. I lay hold on my salvation, my deliverance from satan, sin and every oppression of the devil, I lay hold of my healing and divine health. I lay hold on my prosperity and the victorious life in Christ who rose again from the dead to ensure that I enjoy all the good promises and blessings in the New Testament.

The Bible is infallible.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
2 Timothy 3:16(KJV)

The scriptures which are compiled in the Bible are the conclusive revelation of God. The Bible is revelation truth. It is God's revelation to us about who we are, who He is and what life is all about.

Therefore as a child of God, the Bible should be the yardstick for judging every revelation that is being presented today as truth. Any revelation, opinion, or concept that does not fall in line with God's written word concerning who God is, who Jesus is, or your identity as a child of God is nothing but error.

In our world today, there are books, tapes and magazines being sold which have no scriptural backing. Those who have not been taught the truth would definitely be deceived by them. But I want you to know that any doctrine or teaching, which does not agree with or meet the Biblical standard of judgment, is fallacious and heretic.

Due to the absence and search of accurate, precise, concise and specific knowledge in the wrong places today, some have departed from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1). Jesus said in Matthew 22:29(WNT), "You are in error, through ignorance of the Scriptures and of the power of God.”

Therefore, whenever you hear or read any teaching or preaching, judge it with the scriptures. But for you to do that effectively 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” In 2 Timothy 3:15, the bible says that the scriptures are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

So, give your heart to the knowledge of the Word of Truth, and as you do, you will become complete, trained and made ready for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (BBE).

PRAYER
Father, I do believe your written word in the Bible. I take it as the conclusive revelation of who you are, who Jesus is and my identity in Christ. I thank you for as I give my heart to the knowledge of the word of truth in the Bible, I am made complete, trained and ready for every good work in Jesus Name. Amen.

DOING THE WORD

Your new identity in Christ 2.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

When you got born again and you came into Christ, and you got a totally new identity. God does no longer see you based on how sinful you've been before. Neither is He going to see you based on the family line from which you came from. But instead, He sees you based on what Christ has already accomplished for you, and what Christ is doing in you.

As a born again child of God, live with the understanding that old things are passed away. That means every form of generational curse in the old you and from your old origin, is passed away. This is because the old you that had the old nature of sin and that was under the authority and influence of satan is passed away. But see, now, all things have become new the Bible says. So, the man in Christ is a new man. A new creation in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, Colossians 3:8-11 says, “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.”

As a born again child of God, you have a new nature, the nature of righteousness. So, live your life with that understanding and produce fruits of righteousness. You can live in righteousness everyday because you have the life of God in you; you have a new heart and a new spirit with new and right desires. Live in line with your new identity in Christ.

CONFESSION
I have a new identity in Christ. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I have put off the old man with his deeds, and I have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Christ. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and I produce fruits of righteousness every day of my life in Jesus Name.

Your new identity in Christ 1.

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.”
2 Corinthians 5:15-16(KJV)

From our opening scripture, you can see that identifying with Christ brings you to a newness of life, where we live not for ourselves any more, but for Him who died and rose again for us. For that reason, we do not just see ourselves from a human point of view, but we now see and judge ourselves based on our new identity in Christ.

In the same way, we do not see Jesus from a human point of view anymore, as someone that was just born from a physical decent, no. We see Him for who He really is, as Lord and Christ. The Bible speaking about Jesus in Luke 2:11 says, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” This lets us know that Jesus is the Saviour, Christ the Lord. That means that Jesus is not an angel, He is the Son of God in truth.

Now, in view of the above truth of our new identity and also knowing Christ for who He really is, 2 Corinthians 5:17, says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” So, if you are going to really experience the reality of the new creation life in your conduct and behavior, you must know Christ by His divine origin and not just from a human point of view.

This is because having a true understanding of who Christ really is, will help you to understand and better appreciate who you have become (your new identity) in Christ.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray that you will help me to live and express my new identity in Christ. I receive grace to live my life according to the truth of your word in Galatians 2:20, which says that, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” In Jesus Name. Amen.

Benefits of knowing Jesus as Christ 2.

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18 (KJV).).

We see from our opening scripture, that knowing Jesus as the Christ would give you a new identity. We see Peter, who was otherwise known as Simon, was renamed Peter (a living stone or a stone founded on a larger rock). His identity changed because of his revelation of Jesus as the Christ.

I want you to know that when you come into Christ, you receive a new identity. 2 Corinthians 5:14 says, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:” In other words, when Jesus died, we died in Him, just like when Adam sinned, we sinned in him. We see this in Romans 5:12 where the Bible says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” Also, Romans 5:19 says, “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” So, we see that just as through Adam's disobedience, we were made sinners, by Christ's obedience, we are made righteous.

Therefore, when you know Christ, your identity changes from that of a sinner to the righteousness of God in Christ. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 1 Peter 3:18 says, “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”

When you get to know Christ and come into Him your identity completely changes. The Bible says to us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Now, this new identity that we have in Christ as His righteousness, frees us from all condemnation. Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

CONFESSION
I have been made free from every form of condemnation of the devil because I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I declare that I have a new identity in Christ; I am a new creature. I have been justified; made just as if I never sinned, because all my sins have been remitted and washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. Sin has no power over me anymore. Amen

Benefits of knowing Jesus as Christ 1

“Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
Acts 3:26(KJV)

One of the benefits we have for knowing Jesus as the Christ is the Blessing. We see this in Matthew 16:16-17. Immediately Peter by revelation, confessed Jesus to be the Christ, Jesus answered and said unto Him, “…Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

The Bible says in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” This means that knowing Christ, gives us access to all spiritual blessings. Therefore, the man in Christ is blessed with all spiritual blessings.

I want you to know that all blessings are in Christ. So, the man who lives in Christ and Christ lives in him has all blessings. Therefore, knowing Christ is the end of all search for the blessing. When you come to know Christ, then you will come to know that you have been called to inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9).

This is because the promise of the blessing was made to Abraham and his seed, and that seed according to the Bible is Christ. Galatians 3:16 says, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Therefore, we can say that Christ is the seed of Abraham, and if we are Christ's, that is, if we belong to Christ, “… then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29.

Now you have become an heir of God through Christ according to Galatians 4:7. Therefore, now that you know  you are an heir of the blessing through Christ, it therefore means that you have been brought to a place of abundance where all things are yours according to 1 Corinthians 3:21-23, “…For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.”

CONFESSION
Father, I thank you for I am blessed. I have been called to inherit a blessing in Christ by whom I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. I now live a life of abundance and plenty by my union with Christ, for in Him; the blessings of Abraham and all things are mine.

Knowing Jesus as the Messiah or Saviour.

Simon Peter spoke up, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Matthew 16:16(CEV)

The word 'Christ' also means Messiah. This is why our opening scripture from the contemporary English version reads, "You are the Messiah.” Jesus is the Messiah. The life and times of Jesus as the Messiah has been prophesied long ago by the prophets.

In Acts 26:22-23(GNB), Paul speaking said, “What I say is the very same thing which the prophets and Moses said was going to happen: that the Messiah must suffer and be the first one to rise from death, to announce the light of salvation to the Jews and to the Gentiles.”

From the scripture above, we see that Jesus came into the world as the Savior of the world. Jesus came to announce the light of salvation to the Jews and the Gentiles alike. Therefore, I will like to ask you as you read this devotional today, “Have you accepted Jesus as your Redeemer; the one who died for all your sins?” The Bible says to us in 1 Corinthians 15:3  “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;” Jesus the Messiah already died for all your sins, as payment for all your sins. This is because Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Messiah and Redeemer, all you need to do to accept Him and be saved is found in Romans 10:9-10, which says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

PRAYER
Thank you Father for sending Jesus to die for my sins and to save me from this present evil world. I believe and I have taken Him as my Lord and Saviour. I have eternal life in my spirit in Jesus Name. Amen.

Knowing Jesus as the Son of God.

“And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
Luke 1:35(KJV)

Jesus was born without the involvement of a man. Jesus is the result of the seed of God's word acting upon Mary's womb. Mary's womb was fertilized by the power of the Holy Spirit acting on the word of God which was spoken to her. This is why Jesus is called the child of the Holy Spirit in Matthew 1:18.

In 2 Peter 1:17, the Bible says, “For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Jesus Himself called Himself the Son of God in John 10:36, “Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?”

Jesus was born as a new specie of human. He had a human body, but His Spirit was 100% divine. Thus, He was 100% human and He was 100% divine. He had no earthly father. His father was God the Father. He had the same life that God had. This is why He said in John 5:26, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;” This shows us that Jesus has the same life with the Father because He is the Son of God.

In Romans 1:4 the Bible says concerning Jesus that he was, “… declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:” This means that the resurrection of Jesus from the dead proved beyond all doubts that He was the Son of God in truth.

CONFESSION
I declare and believe that the Bible is the conclusive revelation of God. Therefore, with all my heart, I believe and I confess that Jesus is the Son of God in truth.

Knowing Jesus as Christ

“And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ…” Matthew 16:16(KJV)

To say that Jesus is the Christ means that He is the Messiah, that is the Anointed One. The one in whom resides the fullness of the Godhead bodily. One in whom resides the fullness of God's Spirit. He is the one upon whom came the fullness of God's anointing. The Bible shows this to us in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

The Bible also tells us in Colossians 2:9 “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” This means Jesus being the Christ was a physical embodiment of Divinity. All of God was fully expressed in Christ.

Isaiah the Prophet prophesied about the Messiah that was to come that the fullness of God's Spirit would function in Him in Isaiah 11:2 saying, “And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;” Jesus Christ had the Spirit of God upon Him without measure (John 3:34).

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for bringing the revelation to me of Jesus as the Christ. I thank you Father for according to your word in Colossians 1:27, which says that, “… Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Therefore I declare that because Christ lives in me, the fullnesss of the Godhead lives in me and the glory of God is manifested through my life. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
“And let the peace which Christ gives settle all questionings in your hearts, to which peace indeed you were called as belonging to His one Body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 (WNT).

Who is Jesus?

“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?”
Matthew 16:13(KJV)

Individuals have different perspectives of who Jesus Christ really is. When Jesus asked His disciples, whom do men say that I the son of man am? They said in Matthew 16:14, “…Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.”

Today, many people still do not have an accurate understanding and knowledge of who Jesus really is. They see Him as a great teacher or Rabbi, or as one of the greatest prophets who ever lived. But Peter speaking by revelation, (A revelation is a truth impacted to the human spirit without any sensory medium.) declared with certainty the truth about who Jesus really is.

So, in Matthew 16:16, Peter answered and said by revelation, “…Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  This is who Jesus is. He is the Son of God in truth. This is what is real to us. This is what we are sure of and we have no questions about it.

Seeing Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God is seeing Him from God's perspective of who He really is because that is what is revealed to us in the word of God.

CONFESSION
Father, I thank you for revealing to me from your Word the person of Jesus. I declare that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He is my Lord and Saviour.

Abide in the truth.

“Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the LORD God had made… The snake replied, "That's not true; you will not die. God said that because he knows that when you eat it, you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad."
Genesis 3:1, 4-5(GNB)

I want you to know that it was satan who spoke through the snake to the woman in our opening scripture. We know this because satan is always rebellious against the word of God. He loves to question the integrity of the word of God, and by so doing, corrupt the heart of his prey with doubt and then lure them with His deceitfulness and their lust.

Satan's primary aim is to see to it that you doubt the word of God. This is because he knows that when you start doubting the word of God, you are vulnerable to deception.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12(GW), the Bible says, “He will use everything that God disapproves of to deceive those who are dying, those who refused to love the truth that would save them. That's why God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie. Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned.”

It is important that you know that every step away from the word of God, is a step into deception. So, do not doubt the word of God that you have heard, read and received into your heart.

I pray for you, “That you will stand firm and hold on to these truths which you have been taught in this devotional. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us, strengthen you with his grace and give you unfailing courage and a firm hope. May He encourage you and enable you to always abide in His truth in your thoughts, words and deeds. In Jesus Name. Amen.”

Receive salvation.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:9-10(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us how to get saved. To become born again, you must confess with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, when you do, you shall be saved.

Someone may read this and say, “Is that all I need to do to be saved? No, it is too simple.” But that is a lie of the devil that has been sown into that person's heart. The devil is trying to deceive you by corrupting your mind because of the simplicity that is in Christ.

A lot of people expect to work so hard before they are saved. Some others expect to fast ten days before they are saved. No. All that is not required to receive the gift of salvation. It is a gift that is been made available to you through your faith in Jesus.

Jesus Christ has already done all the work required for your salvation all you need to do right now is to reach out to Him with your faith by believing with all your heart that He already paid for all your sins in His death, and that He rose again on the third day for your justification (so that you can be made righteous, just as if you never sinned). And then if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord of your life, you shall be saved.

So, if you take the word of God as final authority, and start living in line with the word of God, you have reduced your spiritual warfare by 99.9%. Welcome into the liberty we have in Christ. God bless you.

PRAYER OF SALVATION
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. Amen.”

God cares for you 2.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:6-7(KJV)

A lot of people are not humble because they do not believe that God cares about them. Some of them believe that God takes time so they manipulate their own way in other for them to get to where or whatever they want quicker.

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” From this scripture, we see that satan cannot come into your life if he does not have the opportunity. Satan is an opportunist. He has got no authority to come into your life unless you open the door to him.

1 Peter 5:9 says, “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” When you are going through some challenges satan will come to you and tell you that God doesn't care about you because of the challenges that you are going through. Or he may ask you, “If God cares about you then why are you going through this?” When you believe that lie, you will stay longer in that difficult place. You must believe in the love of God if you are going to make progress, because the Bible says that faith worketh by love (Galatians 5:6).
In 1 Peter 5:10, the Bible says, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” I want you to know that no matter what you are going through, you must be confident of one thing in your heart, that God is perfecting, establishing, strengthening, and will surely settle you. Romans 8:28 says, “… that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

In Ephesians 1:11, the Bible lets us know that God works all things according to the counsel of His will. So, trust God and be confident that things will work out for your good. Therefore, keep on believing and speaking it.

CONFESSION
I declare that all things are working together for my good. Because I love God and I am the called according to His purpose. I am a victor and not a victim. I refuse to consider the negative things that I see. But, I look at the things which are revealed to me in the word of God. For the negative things which I see are changing to correspond to the things which are revealed to me in the word of God.

DOING THE WORD
Resist the lies of satan and he will flee from you.

God cares about you 1.

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
2 Corinthians 11:3(KJV)

It is clear to us from our opening scripture that those who are being deceived by satan have their minds corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

So, when you are ignorant of satan's devices according to the word of God, you become susceptible to your mind being corrupted by the craftiness of satan from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The word simplicity from our opening scripture means, generosity and liberality. In other words, the word of God is letting you know that when satan comes to deceive you in his craftiness, he always wants to make you feel that God is not as generous and liberal as you think. He wants you to believe that God is not really concerned about you. And when you begin to believe that God is not really concerned about you, you come under pressure to perform. So, you begin to compromise, you begin to steal, you begin to do all the wrong things you must not do.

This is why the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”  Therefore, do not buy into the lies and deceit of the enemy against your life, but instead cast all your cares on the Lord because He cares about your life affectionately.

In Romans 5:8, the Bible says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Therefore, let your mind and your heart be confident in the truth that God loves you unconditionally. He is concerned about all your needs, concerns, problems, challenges and even about your sins, and He wants to help you live right.

I want you to know that God is interested about your marriage. He wants to help you have a better marriage. God is interested that you have children. He is interested that your business moves forward. But until you get a hold of these truths and have them as a conviction in your heart, you will still be vulnerable to the deceits and craftiness of satan.

CONFESSION
I believe and I declare that God has loved me with an everlasting love. He has drawn me to himself with His loving kindness towards me. I am the apple of His eyes. He cares about me and He has freely given me all things to enjoy. He will never leave me, nor forsake me. So that I may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
