Why we worship on Sundays.

“It was the Lord's Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit…” Rev 1:10 (NLT)

There are lots of Christians who are still unaware of why we worship on Sunday. We worship on Sundays for the following reasons:
Number one
because it was the day that Jesus rose again from the dead. He rose on the first day of the week which is Sunday. “It was early on Sunday morning when Jesus rose from the dead …” Mark 16:9 (NLT)
 Number two
we worship on a Sunday because it is the day that the Holy Spirit fell.  ” On the day of Pentecost, seven weeks after Jesus' resurrection, the believers were meeting together in one place.” Acts 2:1 (NLT)
 Number three
we worship on Sundays because that was the day the early church worshipped. They met on Sunday. This is why the bible says in Acts 20:7 (MSG), “We met on Sunday to worship and celebrate the Master's Supper.”

It is important we know this, because it helps us know why we do what we do. And when you study the Bible in John 20:19, you’ll observe that Jesus appeared to his disciples on Sunday. John 20:19 says, “Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”

Why is it important you know this?  It is because, until you know the purpose of a thing, you cannot receive the full benefit thereof. For instance, many people get married without knowing the purpose of marriage. Many people go into the ministry without knowing the purpose of ministry.  And as long as you don’t know the purpose of a thing, you are limited in your ability to enjoy that thing, and to fully maximize the use of that thing.

This is why I am letting you know some of the reasons we worship on Sunday, because I learned something from a great man of God that has passed on to glory, Edwin Luis Cole, he said, “a man who knows how, will always have the job, but a man who knows why will always be his boss”.  Ever since I heard this statement in 1996, I’ve always wanted to know why. Because a man who knows why will always be ahead.

PRAYER
Father I thank you for as I worship you with my spirit today, and offer the sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of my lips, including my offering and prayers, may they all be acceptable unto you, sanctified of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2.

DOING THE WORD
Make sure you are in the service today, to worship the Father from your spirit.

Don’t give up on your purpose.

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” Habakkuk 2:3(KJV).

I heard about a Man of God in America, who had a heart attack and died. While he was in a coma, he said I kept on telling God in my heart, “Lord remember the vision is not yet fulfilled. He said suddenly, his consciousness returned, and he came back to life.
God’s vision, purpose and plan for your life is more important to Him than it is to you. God specially designed you for your purpose. So, you are a once in a lifetime opportunity to God and this world. Therefore take your purpose seriously. If you do not fulfill your purpose, it will be a loss to God and to this world.
A man stood with a gun facing a popular minister in America, right in a church service, saying, “bow now to the power of satan.” He continued, “I want to show the whole world that satan is more powerful than God.” The minister told him to shoot. The man fired his gun and three bullets went to the right and three to the left, none touched the minister of God.
Purpose preserves life. Find it; it will add value to your existence. Living outside God’s purpose for your life is denying God his dream. That’s why you have to be born again; because that’s the only way you get into it.
Find out why you came into this world, because when you find your purpose and walk in it, it will eliminate all distractions from your life. This was the way the Apostle Paul lived his life. That is why Paul said in Acts 20:24, “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Just like the Apostle Paul, purpose should be the anchor of your focus. When you find it, your whole life changes. Your whole world changes.

Romans 8: 28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” This was what happened to Joseph, because he lived in God’s purpose. When you find your purpose, you cannot be disadvantaged.

At an early age, Joseph’s brothers hated him and sold him into slavery. On getting to Portipher’s house as a slave, Portipher,s wife lied on him, and Joseph found himself in prison. But it only drew him closer to the fulfillment of His purpose; because the prison was the only place he could meet the Pharaoh’s cup bearer. He interpreted the cup bearer’s dream in prison, and his interpretation came to pass just as he said.

Two years after the cup bearer was released from prison, he did not remember Joseph until Pharaoh had a dream. This means that sometimes, God has to let you stay in a waiting place until the appointed time of your exposure. Though sometimes you may not appreciate the waiting place. Only be rest assured, knowing that if you stick to God’s purpose, you will surely see its fulfillment at the appointed time.

PRAYER
Father, I thank you for your grace is released upon me, to stay focused on your vision for my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Psalm 102:13, Daniel 10:14, Hebrews 10:36.

DOING THE WORD
Pursue your vision with patience. It may seem slow, wait for it. It’s on the way. It will come right on time.

Receive Enlightenment

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” John 1:4 (KJV)

Without the life that comes from Christ, men have no light. So true enlightenment comes when an individual receives the life of God. I remember a study was done many years ago, in the early 1940s and 1930s, and they studied all the way to the 1800s, and discovered that development and creativity has always followed a revival.
Let me explain, when Europe was the center of Christianity, they were the center of creativity. When Christians who wanted their freedom traveled from Europe to America, the pilgrims planted a cross and vowed that, from America the gospel will go to the whole world. Do you know what happened afterwards? They started producing, which brought about development and creativity.
Also, for Japan, China and the nations of Asia to become anything, they had to go to America and Europe to study. So what they have came from Europe and America.
Europe and America was able to bless the world, because of their connection to Christianity. But today, they are going down. Why? They’ve left their roots. They are no longer committed to Christianity as they use to be.
Are you aware that most of the developments of our world come from the Jews?  The mobile phones, the camera, most of these things are done by Jews. Why? Because they have a covenant linked to Abraham.
So, as a child of God, you must understand that when you got born again, something happened. You received life that enlightens. It not only enlightens you. But every seed that comes out of your union with your wife is also blessed.  That’s why no child of God should have a child that is a failure. The Bible says, “His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.” Psalms 112:2 (KJV)
Before Kenneth Hagin got born again, he was doing poorly academically. When he got saved, something amazing happened; he suddenly became an ‘A’ student. He started getting Straight ‘A’s. Why? Because he was born again. The same thing happened to me, when I was restored to Christ, my ability to comprehend increased.
You’ve got to understand what happened to you when you got born again, and what you have received in Christ. You have received enlightenment. Live with this understanding, and your developments and creativity will amaze this world.

PRAYER.
Father, I thank you for your life is working mightily in me. That life has brought enlightenment to my mind, and brings me knowledge of witty inventions that will amaze this world and cause me to be a difference maker everywhere I go. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Psalm 84:11, John 1:9, John 8:12, Luke 2:32.

DOING THE WORD
The life of God is working in you. Expect that life to cause you to be more excellent in all you do.

The purpose of the redemption

“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Acts 26:18 (KJV)

As long as you don’t know why you are a Christian, you are limited. And the only way you’re going to know why, is by getting into the Word of God for yourself.  This is important because, the man who knows how is always at the mercy of the man who knows why. So I want to encourage you to get into the word of God for yourself. And if you don’t mind, get the series, The importance of the Word of God.
When you read Acts 26:16-17, you will see that Paul the Apostle was called by the Lord to be a minister to the Gentiles. “But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;  Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee.”
So why was he called? What was he sent to do? What was the purpose of his calling? Number one; “to open their eyes”.  Number two; “to turn them from darkness to light”. Number three; “to turn them from the power of satan unto God.”  Number four; “that they might receive forgiveness of sins.” Number five; “that they might receive inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith.”
It says to open their eyes. This suggests, that the unbeliever is blind. And until you understand that the unbeliever is blind, your attitude to the unbeliever will be wrong. That is why Jesus prayed on the cross, He said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34 (KJV)
Think about this. There are many Christians today, who before they were saved, did a lot of terrible things. But after they were saved, they wondered how they could have done such things. It was because of the blindness of their hearts.
The understanding that the unbeliever is blind, and that the unbeliever is in darkness, and that he is under the power of satan, will help you understand your redemption.
I remember the story of a lady who was bathing her child, and drowned the child in the bath, and then called the police. When the police arrived, they asked her why she did it. She said she just heard a voice that told her, ‘drown the child,’ as she was bathing the child, and she did. That’s the devil, but because the unbeliever is under the authority and power of satan, they cannot resist such voices.
So now been born again, has removed the blindness from your heart. It has brought you from darkness to light, and from the power of satan, unto God. Praise God.

CONFESSION
Father, I thank you for my redemption in Christ. Now the eyes of my understanding is flooded with light. I am now the light of the world. I have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. All my sins have been forgiven and I now have an inheritance among all them that are sanctified by faith in Christ. Amen.

Getting spiritual insight.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints” Ephesians 1:17-18 (KJV).

God wants us to live our lives with certainty; this certainty will only come from our spirits and an understanding of God’s plan and purpose for our lives.

Kenneth Hagin spoke about a young man who in seven years went from fifty dollars to seven million dollars. And they said this young man never invests or does any business until he knows in his spirit, he has meditated on the word of God, to know exactly what God wants him to do or he is not going to take that step. At the time Kenneth Hagin was preaching this particular message, he said, the young man was about to hit a deal that will cause him to make about fifty million dollars.

The young man said that there are sometimes deals will come to him that looks so enticing and his head will be telling him that if he does not invest in this, he will lose a big deal. Yet he says I will just wait until I hear from the Spirit, and he will let it pass.

Paul lived with such certainty because he knew what he was called to do and that was all he did.

In Ephesians 3:8-9, Paul said, “Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ”.

This is in line with what God said to Paul in his vision in Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes …” Why does God want your eyes to be open. It is because spiritual sight is important to accessing your inheritance.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” This reveals to us that the unbeliever is blind.

Ephesians 4:17-18 says, “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.”

This is why you need to pray Ephesians 1:17 for yourself. As you do, the eyes of your heart will be enlightened and revelations of God’s Spirit will flood your heart.

PRAYER
Father I ask today, that you grant unto me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Walking in line with God’s vision.

“Nathan gave David a complete and accurate report of everything he heard and saw in the vision”
                                                                                                      1 Chronicles 17:15 (MSG)

The word vision means ‘to see.’ Have you come to see what God wants to do with your life, or are you still experimenting with your life. “If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves …” Proverbs 29:18 (MSG).

God’s word translation puts Proverbs 29:18 in this way, “Without prophetic vision people run wild, but blessed are those who follow God's teachings.”
.
The ideology or message of a ministry should be in line with God’s vision for that ministry. What was God’s vision when He instituted the church? What was His dream. It is important we know it because, when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.

For instance, Paul the Apostle was an example of a minister whose ministry teachings and even prayer, was in line with God’s vision given to him. The purpose of Paul’s vision is found in Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

If you study Paul’s writing, you will discover that this guided his philosophy, his ideology of ministry and even his prayer. This we see in his prayer in Eph. 1:16 – 17 (BBE), “Give praise without end for you, keeping you in mind in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; And that having the eyes of your heart full of light, you may have knowledge of what is the hope of his purpose, what is the wealth of the glory of his heritage in the saints”

The church today must also do the same thing. Everything we do must be in line with God’s vision for the church. The church must not copy the world like we see in some places today. That is the Babylonian system. If the church should go in that direction, it is designed to fail.

There was a time in this nation when there was a craze to invest in the Nigerian Stock Exchange, to the point that even churches were pressurizing their members to invest. But the Lord told me not to join them, He just told me to keep on teaching my members the word. Not long afterwards, the Nigerian stock Exchange crashed.

As a child of God or as a minister, greed must not drive you. Instead be led by the Spirit in God’s plan and purpose for your life and the church.

PRAYER
Father I ask that you help me and other members of the body of Christ, to always align ourselves with your vision for the Church. I ask that you expose every seed of falsehood that have entered into our belief system. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: 2 Samuel 7:17, Jeremiah 23:28, Acts 20:27.

DOING THE WORD
Do not add to what God has called you to do. Just do what He has called you to do faithfully. Never copy the world.

Your role in God’s redemptive plan.

“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.”
Proverbs  29:18 (AMP).

As a child of God, it is important that you know that, you have a role in God’s redemptive plan. In other words, you have a role to fulfill in God’s vision.

Where there is ignorance of God, crime runs wild – Pro. 29:18. TLB. This means that the crime rate in a society is proof positive of the absence of vision in that society.

God has a vision for every society, and until the individuals in that society finds out what God’s vision (redemptive revelation) is they won’t be able to check the crime rate. But what a wonderful thing for a nation to keep and fulfill God’s laws.

Proverbs 29:18 (MSG) says, “If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.”

This means that when you are in the centre of God’s vision for your life, you are in the centre of God’s greatest blessings.

I remember reading a book called, Plans Purpose and Pursuit, by Kenneth Hagin. He talked about the time Jesus appeared to him and shared some things with him. The Lord said that for every meeting, there is a purpose and a plan, which we have to pursue in every meeting, as well as for our lives or for a ministry. Then he said, when the church or individual does not live according to that plan and purpose that Jesus had for him, they cannot see the full blessing and the glory that God wants them to enjoy.

Many times people ask us as a ministry, why is it that the presence of God is so strong? I just let them know we just do what He wants us do, how he wants us to do it, when He wants us to do it and with whom He wants us to do it. As you function that way, it will bring you into the full blessing.

PRAYER
Father I open my eyes, my ears and my spirit to be able to perceive, hear, understand and conceive all the instructions and directions, so I can fulfill my role in God’s redemptive plan.

Vision restrains you from disorder.

“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.”
                                                                                                      Proverbs 29:18 (HNV)

From our opening text, the word is saying to us that, without a vision, there can be no self restraint.
Proverbs 29:18 (GNB) puts it this way, “A nation without God's guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God's law!” This means that the disorder in society is a reflection of an absence of vision. When you look at the nation, a community, a family, a life, if that life is disorderly, it is because there is a lack of vision.

To perish in our opening text also means to dwell carelessly. Proverbs 29:18 (BBE) says, “Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy. So, when you find a careless person, lacking self control, you’ve identified someone that lacks vision.

To perish in our opening scripture also means to be made naked. Proverbs 29:18 (YLT) says,
Without a Vision is a people made naked, And whoso is keeping the law, O his happiness!
This reveals that sexual immorality is a proof of a life without a vision. A life of self restraint is impossible without a genuine vision from God.

When you observe the life of Joseph, you will discover that he had a genuine vision from God. Because, when he had the privilege and the opportunity to sleep with Potiphar’s wife, he refused. His vision restrained him. This is how you know a genuine vision from God. A genuine vision would always restrain you from doing the wrong things, and compromising your faith in God.

No matter what happens, living in God’s vision for your life is what counts. Living in God’s vision for your life is living in God’s perfect will for your life. And when you are in the centre of God’s will for your life, you can always lay claims to God’s provision and protection.

PRAYER
Lord I submit myself to you and to doing your vision for me. As I live my life in your vision, I ask that all the protection and provision I require for my well being, comes to me freely in Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Genesis 39:7-12, 2 Corinthians 5;14.

DOING THE WORD
Allow your vision to always constrain you to always live a morally upright life.

The responsibility of vision.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”    Proverbs 29:18 (KJV).

What is your vision? Find it out from God. Tell Him to show you, so that you would not be stranded or lost in life.

Do you have a vision for your family?  Until you have a vision for your family, you are not ready for marriage. Without having a vision for your family, you are not going to take them anywhere. You will live an empty unfulfilling life.

Responsibility of a vision
Without a vision for your family, how are the children going to be raised? Which school are they going to attend? Personally, I had to learn certain things about schooling, because of my children. This information was meant to guide me on the decision to make concerning my children’s schooling. I did all these because I wanted to have a home where I can raise children that will inspire the world.

Some people get married without a vision for their family, only for them to start asking questions later in their marriage, wondering about what marriage should be like.

Meanwhile, one of the reasons for frustrations in many lives and in marriages is poor preparation. The quality of your preparation is what decides the quality of your future. Your preparation also decides the quality of your experience, whether in marriage or in ministry.

Don’t live an empty life like a no body. Find God’s vision for your life and live in it. As a married man you should have a vision for your family, because every child that God has given to you to bring forth into the world was brought to the world with a God-given purpose and a direction. For instance, God told me how to raise my children. So you have to pray about it, if you have not yet found it.

As a parent find out from God what your child was born to do? Find out how that child is supposed to be raised. The bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6. This means that God has ordained a course for your child to follow, but if you do not know the way the child is supposed to go, how then can you guide him in the way to go.

So, make it your responsibility, to live your life and guide your family in the light of God’s vision for their lives.

PRAYER.
Father I thank you for insight into the hidden details concerning God’s vision for my family, my marriage, my children, my spouse, and all that pertains to me. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Genesis 18:19, Deuteronomy 4:7, 6:7, Psalm 78:3-6, Ephesians 6:4.

DOING THE WORD.
Make it a responsibility to bring up your children and also guide your family as a whole in the way of the Lord.

Fulfilling your vision requires self control.

“Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
 Proverbs 29:18 (ASV).

To live without restraint is to live life without self control because of the lack of vision. One of the reasons I lived a morally upright life was because I allowed my vision to dominate me. I looked into the future and I wanted to have children that will not walk in certain ways because I carry my seed in me. There were certain things I did not think of doing, because I was a man with a vision.

The way you are seeing your future is what is determining your approach to life right now. God has a purpose for your life. Let that purpose get a hold of you and it will change you.

For instance, if you have a vision of writing books till when you are ninety, you should know you shouldn’t smoke. Because smoking shrinks your brain. Osward Sanders wrote his last book at the age of ninety – two. He did not dictate it, he wrote it himself. He was still sound in his brain at ninety – two.

This is why I had to study how the brain works, and am still researching about the human brain. I want to know how the brain functions. Why are some people forgetful? Are you aware that when you read, you energize your brain cells to create new brain cells? When you stop reading as you should, your brain cells start dying. If you are forgetful, check it, you will discover that you have not been reading as much as you should be reading. I researched on these things because as a teacher of the gospel I need to know how to develop my brain, to keep it sound for as long as am here teaching.

So, what do you need to start doing today, or what do you need to restrain yourself from doing because of God’s vision for your life. Make the necessary adjustments so that you can fulfill your purpose.

PRAYER
Father I thank you for I am sound in my spirit, soul and body. Every part of my being functions optimally for the fulfillment of my purpose. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: 1 Corinthians 9:25, 2 Peter 1:6.

DOING THE WORD
Invest in your personality by finding the right resource and information that will increase your effectiveness in line with God’s purpose and vision for you.

You are God’s garden.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 (KJV).

Why does the bible admonish us not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together? This is because we are God’s garden and He wants our lives to be well cultivated with His word.

For instance, if I was not a Pastor, First of all, I will locate the church for me and I would never miss a service. Do you know why? The bible says, “… you are God's garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [you are] God's building” 1 Corinthians 3:9 (AMP).

When God made His first man, He put him in the garden, and in that garden were all the supplies he needed. “And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden [delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted)” Genesis 2:8 (AMP).

So, if I was not a Pastor, one of the places I would need to find myself is God’s house. This is because my direction for life will be in God’s house. “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day …” Genesis 3:8.

When I got my call into the ministry, I was in a service. Before then, I already knew I was called, but I did not know exactly what I was called to do. And when the clarification came on the 5th of April 1996, I was in a service worshipping. Then, God spoke to me these words, “Preach the full message of this new life” (Acts 5:20).

Are you aware that you can get ideas for your business just by been in God’s house? Many people don’t know why we come to church. They come to church just to fulfill a religious duty. They go to church with this attitude; “today is Sunday, let’s go to church.” When they are in church they are thinking, “let church close and let’s go home.” They forget that, that is the garden where they are nurtured, your ideas are nurtured and refined there, and your vision is also refined there. Get to know this.

When you come to a service, the Pastor is not the one in charge of the service. It is the Spirit of God. That is why as the Pastor is preaching, and you are in the crowd listening, you can hear a thought given to you, as inspired by God’s Spirit.

If you train yourself to think this way, God will be able to do much with you. Because you would be thinking like Him.

PRAYER
Father I ask that as I increase in my commitment in my service to you with understanding, may my life be beautified and cultivated, and nurtured by the word and God’s Spirit for greater impact. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Isaiah 61:3, Matthew 18:20, 1 Peter 2:5.

DOING THE WORD
Increase your commitment to God and to fellowshipping with other believers in church. Attend all services and special meetings, as you do, God will be cultivating your life for His glory.

Finding fulfillment.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”                                                                                               Proverbs 29:18 (KJV).

Your fulfillment in life is tied to your fulfilling God’s plan and purpose for your life.  Until you identify God’s plan and purpose for your life, you would never be fulfilled, and you also cannot measure your progress in life. This is because, if you do not know where you are going, how do you know that you have arrived.

Let’s assume a deaf and dumb man went to the park, wanting to go to Port Harcourt without any direction. Worse still, if he cannot read and write, he will enter into any bus. This is because he cannot hear the call to Port Harcourt; and he cannot understand the signs on the way to Port Harcourt. So, he is lost in life. In the same way, many people are lost in life.

This may have happened to you; you are out walking on the street in search of a place, then you walk up to someone for directions, then he tells you to go in a certain direction. Only for you to get there and discover that place is not where you are going. Meaning he directed you wrongly. So, all your efforts and time was wasted.

To avoid this from been the story of your life, you must know to whom you are assigned, and where you are assigned, and what you are assigned to do, otherwise, you would find yourself doing the right thing at the wrong place. How sad, to discover that all your efforts have been wasted.

Paul the Apostle knew those he was called to reach, God told him clearly in Acts 26:17, “Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee.”

He also knew why God called him to be a minister. In other words, he knew his purpose. We see this in Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

He also knew when he finished. He said in 2 Timothy 4:7 -8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.”

So, if you want to be truly fulfilled and happy in life, find God’s plan and purpose for your life, and begin to walk in it. By God’s grace you would also finish. Amen.

PRAYER
Father I thank you for the fulfillment that comes from walking in your plan and purpose for my life. I receive grace to finish my course without reproach. In Jesus Name. Amen.

God made you for a Purpose.

“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.” Proverbs 29:18 (AMP)

The Spirit of God gave me a definition of vision. He said, vision is a revelation of God’s plan and purpose for your life. The word, ‘plan’ answers the question, what am I supposed to be doing with my life. Are you aware that you were born to fulfill a purpose? Are you aware that you are not a product of chance? Neither are you a product of sexual gratification.

God made you for a purpose. Finding that purpose would cause you to live with a sense of mission. This is important because you cannot organize your life without a sense of mission. Having a sense of mission would organize your life and fill your life with inspiration.

The purpose that God has called you to fulfill is more important to God than it is to you because it is God’s vision. So, when I align myself with God’s vision, I become an absolute priority to God. This is because God’s vision furthers His course on earth.

It does not matter what you do, find out God’s vision for what you do. If you are a business man, are you aware that God has a vision for His business men? If you are a doctor, are you aware that God has a plan for His doctors?

Many lives are without inspiration, because they just do what they do without knowing they are supposed to fulfill a purpose, through what they do.

Purpose answers the question, why am I supposed to do, what I am supposed to do with my life. In other words, what God tells you to do is the plan, and the reason why you are to do what He told you to do is the purpose.

If God has called you, and you do not know the purpose, it will keep you behind in your call. So, if you are a banker, it is important you know why He has called you to be a banker.

You have to know God’s purpose for what you do. If you do not know why you are to do what you are doing, there are certain privileges and opportunities you cannot walk into, because you lack the key, which is the knowledge of the why (Purpose).

PRAYER
Father I ask that you grant me wisdom and revelation of your plan and purpose or my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

Vision here means, ‘to see,’ it refers to prophetic insight. In other words, the word is saying to us that where there is no vision (no insight), the people perish. Vision can also be defined as insight with foresight. It is the ability to see into the future.

Vision could also mean a redemptive revelation. So, where there is no redemptive revelation, the people perish. They become disorganized. So if we are going to be organized as the body of Christ or as individuals, we must understand God’s vision.

Churches are been started all over the world and not many of them know or even have God’s vision. For many it is an assumption or a reaction. But until we get a hold of the concept of vision, the body of Christ will still be behind.
I remember listening to a speech by one of the most influential men in the world, though he is not born again. He said, he lives his life with a sense of mission and a sense of purpose. Yet some Christians don’t even know that there is a purpose for their lives. Some are unaware of it.
You have to live with a sense of purpose to be able to impact the world. I remember watching a business man been interviewed, “he said I never do anything to make money, I only do things to make a difference.” And he is a billionaire. They are able to achieve these things because they live with a sense of purpose.
Therefore, if your life is going to amount to anything, and if you want your life to make a global impact, you have to find out God’s vision for your life, and begin to live with the sense of purpose and direction it gives to you.
Living with a sense of purpose will certainly organize you and set you on the path of prosperity and increase.

PRAYER
Father I ask that you anoint the eyes of my heart today, so that I can have prophetic insight into your plan and purpose for my life, my ministry, my family and every area of my life. in Jesus Name. Amen.

Shine in your Purpose.

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29 (KJV)

The word ‘foreknow’ in our opening scripture meansto know beforehand,’ ‘to foreordain,’ ‘to foresee.’ In other words, the word is saying to us that God knew us before hand, fore ordained and foresaw us, before we were born into this world. God foresaw you as a unique vessel, and predestinated you.
The word ‘predestinate’ means ‘to determine before hand,’ ‘to mark off.’ So, God is saying to you that He has marked you for your destiny. This is why the Apostle Paul said, in Galatians 6:17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”

His marks are on you too. He has marked your path. This is why the bible says in Ephesians 2:10 (AMP), “For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” When you enter that path, you will only experience a greater glory each day.
This is why the bible says in Proverbs 4:18 (AMP),But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day [to be prepared].”
Do you want to shine? Then follow the path that God has ordained for you to follow. Find that path and start walking in it, until the perfect day. The perfect day is that day when you stand before Jesus, shining in all his glory.
Get involved with His plan of salvation and start leading others to Christ. As you do, you are helping God see his dream come true. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 “  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

God has found you, and through you, God wants to reach the unsaved and get them saved. It gives him pleasure. Luke 15:7 says “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

So, as you live out God’s purpose through your life as a soul winner, remember that you are  just like Jesus who said, in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” This is your purpose today. As you live out this purpose, remember that you shall shine as the stars in the kingdom of God forever (Daniel 12:3).

PRAYER
Thank you Father, for foreordaining me and determining beforehand that I should fulfill this destiny that you have assigned for me. I thank you for as I walk in it, my path will shine brightly more and more until the perfect day. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Read: Proverbs 11:30, Matthew 5:16, Matthew 13:43.

DOING THE WORD
Stick to your purpose in life. always remember that no matter what you believe God has called you to do, you must of necessity be a soul winner.

Sufficient Grace.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

You may say, “Pastor my father and my mother never married. Can I still fulfill my purpose?” Yes, He wants you to be a trophy of grace. That’s what he wants your life to be.
Someone else may say, “Pastor I was abandoned, but somebody picked me up. Can I still fulfill my purpose?” Yes, that is why He protected you from been killed. God’s purpose for your life preserved you. Have you heard Duncan Williams story? His mother was pregnant with twins, and she was bleeding. So, they said she had to abort the babies. They never knew the babies were two and they were alive, so they aborted the first one, thinking that was the only baby in her womb, because there was no scanning done to know the number of babies in her womb.  Finally the baby left in the womb grew to full term and the woman gave birth to it. That was how Duncan Williams was born into this world. His mother told him the story many years later, and said, “I would have aborted you.”
Duncan Williams said, “She couldn’t have aborted me (talking about his mother), because, God had a purpose for my life.” That’s why with all your mother went through when she was about giving birth to you, you did not die. It is because God wanted you, your purpose was so important to God, so He protected you in His grace.
Paul the apostle said in 1 Corinthians 15:10, “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

Paul the apostle was indeed a great man of God, yet he acknowledged that he was able to accomplish all that he did by the grace of God. If we will live with that understanding, we also will produce the same results and also finish our course in the full completion of our purpose.

PRAYER.
Thank you Father because your grace is heavy upon my life. I am daily been energized by your grace. Your grace strengthens me above all my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may be manifested in me. In Jesus Name. Amen.
