Full of Power

Full of power.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you …”
Acts 1:8

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you receive power. Just as you can never separate water from wet, you can never separate the power from the Holy Spirit. If I pour water on you, you will become wet. So, you received wetness when I poured the water on you. In the same way, when you received the Holy Ghost, you received power. This means that wherever you find the Holy Ghost, you find power.

This is your rhema for today; the power of God lives in me because the Holy Ghost lives in me. So, if you are full of the Holy Ghost, you are full of the power of God.

In Acts 6:5 the Bible tells about such a man, “… Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost …” Then in Acts 6:8 the Bible says, “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.” Notice that the Bible says he was full of power because he was full of the Holy Ghost.

Have you received the Holy Ghost? If you have, it means this power resides in you. The power in you can produce miracles. It can heal the sick, fill you with divine ability for any task, bring abundance into your life, fill you with might, and strength when you feel weak. It can make you immune to all harm at all times. All you need to do is to stir up that power by praying in tongues. As you do anything is possible.

Confession:
I declare that I am full of power twenty-four hours a day of my life by the Holy Spirit who dwells in me. Amen.

For further study, read:
Luke 10:19, Acts 28:3-9, Acts 3:6-8.

Doing the Word:
Please stir up the power in you by praying in the Holy Spirit.

Conformed to His Image

Conformed to His image.
“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29

Our opening scripture shows us that we have been conformed to the image of Jesus who is the firstborn among many brethren. This reveals that Jesus is our Elder Brother.

If Jesus is my Elder Brother, it means that the same potential He has, I have also. That is why the Bible says we have been conformed to His image, in other words, we have being fashioned to be like Him because our nature is the same with Him because we have received His nature by reason of the new birth.

It was this understanding that gave me an edge when I was in school. If Jesus should write an exam will He fail? If He would not fail, then I should not fail because I have being conformed to His image. As a result of this understanding, during my university days, I never had an F, I never had an E and I never had a D even when I did not have continuous assessment. The least I had was a C; that means when they marked my scripts in courses where I had no continuous assessment I scored up to 50 and above.

This can also be your experience because you have being conformed into the image of the Son of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 is your rhema for today: “…But we have the mind of Christ.” You have the mind of Christ, so go and excel in all that you do. God bless you.

Confession.
I have been conformed to the image of the Son of God; therefore I have the potential of Christ in me. I have an excellent mind because I have the mind of Christ. Amen.

For further study, read:
Romans 13:14, 2 Corinthians 3:17-18,
 2 Timothy 1:7.

Doing the Word:
Renew your mind to your true potential in Christ.

Divine Prosperity

Divine prosperity.
“Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.”
 Isaiah 32:15

When the Holy Spirit came upon you, you received the ability to prosper. The grace and ability to make progress and to increase abundantly came upon you the day you received the Holy Spirit.

If you are experiencing the wilderness life right now, when you receive the Holy Spirit, and yield to His leading and instructions, before long your life will be a fruitful field. If your life is a fruitful field, your life will soon be counted for a forest.

When the Spirit of God is upon anything or anyone, He causes them to flourish because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of life. No matter what has been dead in your life, when the Spirit of life comes in, it will come to life. Psalm 104:30(MSG) says, “Send out your Spirit and they spring to life-- the whole countryside in bloom and blossom.”

Deuteronomy 8:18 is your rhema for today: “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am moving forward by the anointing of the Holy Spirit that has come upon me mightily. Every bondage is broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. I have received power to get wealth and to prosper in all I lay my hands to do. Amen.

For further study read:
Isaiah 29:17, Isaiah 44:3-4, Isaiah 54:1-3.

Doing the Word:
As the Lord prospers you, honour Him in your giving. Partner with the gospel financially.

The Safest Place

The Safest place
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Psalm 91:1(ESV)

God spoke to me saying, “Wherever you are is the safest place on earth.” It dawned on me that wherever I am, it does not matter what has been happening before I got there, it becomes the safest place on earth the moment I am there.

If you are reading this today and you are under this commission or you have faith in this grace, because I am sent, such as I have, I give unto you: Wherever you are is the safest place on earth in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

God is your environment. You carry your own atmosphere everywhere you go. So, if you enter a place where the people are unable to make progress because of witchcraft, as long as you are there, the spell placed over the people in that place would not work in your life.

If you moved into a new house, be conscious of this truth; know that you came with your own atmosphere. Psalm 91:7-11 is your rhema for today: “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Confession.
According to the Word of the Lord that has gone forth concerning my safety, I declare in the Name of Jesus that wherever I am is the safest place on earth. The Lord has given His angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. Amen.

For further study, read:
Isaiah 26:3, Isaiah 54:15, Isaiah 54:17.

Doing the Word:
Speak the blessing over your day.

Your Address

Your address.
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
Acts 17:28

As a Christian God is now your dwelling place. For in Him you live, and move and have your being. For instance, if you live in a house, for a thief to come in, they would have to break into it. Similarly, as long as you are dwelling in God, if anything has to get to you, it would have to break through God. Can you now begin to understand how secure you are?

Anything that can not break through God cannot get to you. This is why satan and all evil cannot get to you. Colossians 3:1-3 is your rhema for today, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” This is why sudden death or satan cannot touch your life. Your life is not within his reach. Your life is hid with Christ in God. Live your life with this understanding.

Jesus said in John 10:28-29, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”

Instruction.
Declare Psalm 91 over you and your household.

Divine Utterance 2

Divine utterance 2
“But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
Matthew 10:19-20

I want you to realize that, as a Christian, you are never alone. Your Comforter, the Holy Spirit, is always with you. For instance, if you ever need to preach the gospel to someone, or you were asked a question to explain your Christian beliefs and convictions, you do not need to worry concerning what you shall speak, because it will be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. Even if  you are to attend an oral interview. Do not be afraid. The Holy Spirit will help you know how to answer the questions as you ought to.

You may be reading for an exam or a test, no matter how difficult it may seem to be, you do not need to do any malpractice. Just trust the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance all that you have read. Do not forget that the Holy Spirit is your memory box.

2 Samuel 23:2(CEV) is your rhema for today,  “The Spirit of the LORD has told me what to say.” If you have any presentation to make, an oral interview to attend or a person to preach the gospel to, know that the Spirit of the Lord will tell you what to say. I pray that your ears will be awakened every morning and every moment to hear what the Spirit is saying to you in Jesus Name. Amen.

Confession:
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that all answers that I need are inside of me, because I have the Holy Spirit and all answers are inside of Him. I have a sound mind because the Holy Spirit is my memory box. I know what to say because the Holy Spirit speaks through me. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 45:1-2, Proverbs 22:11, Proverbs 15:23.

Doing the Word:
Thank the Lord for putting a word in due season on your lips today.

Divine Utterance 1

Divine utterance 1.
“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”
 Luke 21:15

Do you know that the Holy Spirit wants to talk through you? When He says “I will give you a mouth …” It means He will give you such utterance and words beyond your human understanding. Your words will not be your own anymore. He will be the One doing the speaking in you.

When this ministry of the Spirit is at work in your life, you will always know what to say because He will be with your mouth and teach you what you should say. Then your words will always be with grace, seasoned with salt and you will know how you ought to answer every man. Your words can be with such precision if you yield to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life.

In Acts 6:10, the Bible lets us know that when Stephen spoke, the Spirit spoke through him and his adversaries were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit with which he spoke.

Exodus 4:12 is your rhema for today, “Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and will teach you what you shall say.” Praise God!

Confession.
The Holy Spirit lives in me. He lives in my spirit and my spirit lives in my body. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. He lives inside me. He talks through my mouth. He touches through my hands. He walks with my feet. Wherever I go the Holy Spirit goes. His power is inside of me twenty four hours a day, every day of my life. Amen.

For further study, read:
Jeremiah 1:9, Colossians 4:3-4, Isaiah 50:4.

Divine Creativity

Divine creativity.
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.”
Exodus 31:1-5
Our openi...ng scripture is showing us the operation of the Spirit of God, His workings and the effect of His presence in our lives. The Holy Spirit is able to fill you with all wisdom, understanding and knowledge in all manner of workmanship that will make you creative in whatever you do. Weather it is in graphic or web designing, fashion designing, artistry, developing computer software or inventing new ways of doing things better and faster in whatever field you are in. The Holy Spirit can impart you with such creativity that will put you ahead of the world in your field.
I have heard of believers who spent time praying in tongues and came out with fresh ideas which the world had never known. Proverbs 8:10-12 is your rhema for today: “Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” I encourage you to ask the Lord for knowledge of witty inventions in your field.
Instruction.
Please read James 1:5 and ask the Lord for wisdom and creative insight.
For further study, read:
1 Chronicles 1:7-12, 1 Kings 7:14, Exodus 35:30-35.
Doing the Word:
Receive wisdom by faith and thank the Lord for it.

Divine Strenght

Divine strength.
“And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;”
Isaiah 11:2

The day you received the Holy Spirit, you stopped being a weakling. This is because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of might. The Prophet Micah declared in Micah 3:8, “But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might …” If you use to declare that you are a weak person as a Christian, I want you to change that today. Instead of declaring that you are weak, speak the truth. The truth is the Word of God. Speak like the prophet Micah, declare aloud, “Truly, I am full of power and might by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Also, if you are always falling sick, tired, and having bodily ailments, etc. I want you to know that receiving the Holy Spirit can put an end to all such frailty. Romans 8:11 is your rhema for today: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Therefore, I want you to know that every time you are speaking in tongues, according to 1 Corinthians 14:4, you are edifying yourself by the Spirit. You are releasing life to your body and every part of your being. That life will fill you with might. It will improve and embolden you. It will also make you strong physically by vitalizing your mortal body. It will destroy the virus. It will destroy the contamination in your blood. It will completely inundate your whole being with power. So, the next time you are speaking in tongues, you know what you are doing. Praise God.

Confession.
I choose to believe the Word of God above all sensory evidence. Therefore in the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am strong, the Word of God abides in me and I have overcome the wicked one. Amen.

For further study read:
2 Corinthians 4:6-18, 2 Corinthians 12:9,
2 Corinthians 13:4.

Doing the Word:
The next time you see any contrary evidence, speak the Word of God to it.

Don't be ignorant

Don't be ignorant
“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”
 Psalm 82:5-6

You can never walk in the power of God beyond your understanding of that power. For instance, there was a story of a Christian man that was kidnapped in Edo State and taken to a place where they were to kill him. As they were moving towards him to hurt him, he spoke in tongues, this made the men stop and move backwards. That got his attention. The response of the men to him when he spoke in tongues made him know there was power been released. So he began to speak in tongues some more and the men finally left him unharmed and he escaped.

Many days after the kidnapping, he was in Oba market in Benin and he met a man who greeted him and started talking to him. He mentioned that he was one the men who kidnapped him, but the reason why they could not do any harm to him was because when he was speaking in tongues, fire was coming out of his mouth.

Matthew 3:11 is your rhema for today: you are baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. That was the fire that drove away those men. God is a Spirit according to John 4:24. Therefore, all of God is tabernacled in you by the Holy Spirit that dwells in you.  Walk in the consciousness of this truth.

Prayer.
Dear Father, may the power of your Spirit come upon me mightily today. May the fire and the power of the Sprit be stirred up in me to ward off every onslaught of the adversary against me, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Acts 13:4-12, Acts 16:22-26, Ephesians 5:18-21.

Doing the Word:
Stir up the power in you, praying in the Holy Ghost and singing praises to God.

Who is a Christian?

Who is a Christian?
“My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,”
 Galatians 4:19

Christianity is Christ reproduced in the human person. There are lots of people who have a wrong view of what Christianity means. Some of them think being a Christian means you are weak and powerless. They do not know what it means to be a Christian.

There is a story of a Christian man that was on his way to church in Lagos. While he was at the park, armed robbers drove past that way shooting sporadically in the air as they went. In the process he was met by a stray bullet. The bullet just rolled down his body and did him no harm. As people surrounded him to see what has happened, he took advantage of the opportunity and began to preach the gospel to the on lookers.

Why did the bullet not harm him? The Bible says in Galatians 3:27, “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” This is your rhema for today: you have been clothed and completely wrapped up with Christ. You have sunk into Christ. He is your covering. He is your shield. Nothing shall by any means hurt you.

This is the understanding you should have of who a Christian is. It is Christ reproduced in you. You are not ordinary anymore. You are born of God. The Bible describes a Christian in John 1:12-13 saying, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Confession.
I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord. He has given me the power to become a son of God because I believe in His Name. I am born again. I am not born of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, I am born of God.

For further study, read:
1 Peter 1:23, Romans 9:8, James 1:18.

Doing the Word:
Do not live according to the flesh, let the Word of God guide your conduct.

The Comforter

The Comforter.
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever-- The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.”
John 14:16-18(AMP)

The Holy Spirit is the greatest comfort for trauma. If an individual would receive the Holy Spirit, no matter the traumatic experience he or she may be going through, the Holy Spirit will solve it.

There are also Christians who are suffering from what we call the orphan spirit. One of the evidence of the orphan spirit is fear. There are Christians who are always afraid. They are always thinking that something bad is going to happen to them. If you are suffering from that, I want you to know that the Holy Spirit was given to alienate all our fears.

Your rhema for today is found in 2 Timothy 1:7 which says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Romans 8:14-16(AMP) says, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.”

Confession:
I refuse to fear. God has not given me the spirit of bondage again to fear. I have the Spirit of power, love and of a sound mind. I have received the Spirit of adoption wherefore I cry, Abba Father. God is my Daddy and I am His loved child. Hallelujah.

For further study, read:
John 14:26, Acts 9:31, Romans 8:26-27.

Doing the Word:
Never do anything without the help of the Holy Spirit. Always recognize His presence with you.

Anointing for Soul Winning

Anointing for Soul Winning
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Luke 4:18-19

God always anoints for a purpose. In the New Testament, one of the primary reasons for the anointing is for soul winning. So, if you will give yourself to soul winning, God will increase the anointing on your life. This is because that is the chief reason Jesus came. He came to seek and to save that which was lost, according to Luke 19:10.

This is your rhema for today; “The Spirit of the Lord is upon you, because He hath anointed you to preach the gospel …” I want you to know that the Holy Spirit has come to make you a soul winner, and the more you yield to the Holy Spirit the more you will have a passion for souls.

If you are one of those Christians who make statements like, “I do not have a passion for souls.” It is because you have not yielded to the Holy Spirit because one of the reasons the Holy Spirit came into your life is to make you a soul winner.
Anointed for soul winning.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because you have empowered me to preach the gospel. I expect the influence of your Spirit to convict the hearts of the unsaved to receive salvation. May the sick be healed and may every oppressed person go free, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Complete in Christ

Complete in Christ.
“… And the Spirit which he gave us is our witness that he is in us.”
1 John 3:24(BBE)

I want you to notice from our opening scripture that, the proof that God lives in us is the Spirit which He gave us. This means that, because the Holy Spirit is in you, it means that God has taken residence inside of you.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:17, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” When you got born again, the life of God supplanted your human life. You became plugged into God. There are many Christians who do not know this, so they continue to live the ordinary life. This is why Paul asked in 1 Corinthians 6:15, “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ?”

This is your rhema for today; Ephesians 5:30 says, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” Your body is a member of Christ. It is no longer your body anymore. Therefore what God will not tolerate in the body of Jesus Christ He will not tolerate in your body. Your union with Christ empowers you, so whatever bows to Him, bows to you.

Colossians 2:8-10(WNT) says, “Take care lest there be some one who leads you away as prisoners by means of his philosophy and idle fancies, following human traditions and the world's crude notions instead of following Christ. For it is in Christ that the fulness of God's nature dwells embodied, and in Him you are made complete, and He is the Lord of all princes and rulers.”

Confession.
God dwells in Christ and I am in Christ and Christ is in me. Therefore, the fullness of God's nature dwells embodied in me. I am plugged into God, one Spirit with Him.

For further study, read:
1 Corinthians 12:13, John 1:16, Colossians 3:10-11.

Doing the Word:

Miracle working ability

Miracle working ability.
“What comes next is very important: I am sending what my Father promised to you, so stay here in the city until he arrives, until you're equipped with power from on high."”
 Luke 24:49(MSG)

The day you received the Holy Spirit, you were equipped with power from on high. The word power is from the Greek word dunamis which also refers to miraculous power. This means that you have received miracle working ability.

Every Christian has the ability to work miracles. The ability to work miracles comes from the Holy Spirit that you have been endued with. He completely wraps and cloths you in the power of God.

This was why Peter speaking in Acts 3:6-8 said, “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.” That is dunamis at work.

This is your rhema today: according to Ephesians 3:16, you are strengthened with might - dunamis (the miraculous power of God) by the Holy Spirit that lives in you. Praise God!

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because I am strengthened with miracle working ability according to the riches of your glory, by your Spirit in my inward man, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Divine Immunity

Divine immunity.
“Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.”
Luke 10:19(AMP)
Today, I want you to realize that because of the authority and empowerment you have received in Christ, you have divine immunity. You are completely immune from all the ability that the enemy possesses. Nothing that the enemy does against you shall in any way harm you.
This is your rhema for today: nothing shall in any way harm you. It does not matter the form the enemy chooses to come against you; weather physically or spiritually, it shall never ever harm you. If they chose to come against you physically, the Bible says in Isaiah 54:16-17(CEV), “Don't forget that I created metalworkers who make weapons over burning coals. I also created armies that can bring destruction. Weapons made to attack you won't be successful; words spoken against you won't hurt at all…”
If they try to come against you spiritually the Bible says in Numbers 23:23(GNB), “There is no magic charm, no witchcraft, That can be used against the nation of Israel. Now people will say about Israel, 'Look what God has done!'” You are the Israel of God, therefore no magic charm, no witchcraft can be used against you. It would not work because you have divine immunity in Christ. Praise God.
Confession:
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I have complete immunity in Christ. Therefore, no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against me is condemned according to the Word of the Lord. Amen.
For further study, read:
Genesis 12:1-3, Numbers 23:1-23, Galatians 3:29.
Doing the Word.

Delegated Authority

Delegated authority.
“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.”
Luke 10:17

The word subject in our opening scripture is from the Greek word hupotasso. It means to arrange under to obey, to do obeisance to. This means that the devils have been arranged under us to obey us. This means that the posture that demons have towards us that are in Christ is the posture to obey us.

The word name in our opening scripture is from the Greek word 'onoma' referring to authority, rank or character. Therefore, because we are in Christ, we have the right to use His name.

Jesus has given you His name to function with on earth. In other words, you have the right to use His authority and His rank to command obedience concerning things in heaven, on earth and under the earth because, according to Philippians 2:9-11, His Name has authority in all three realms. Therefore, whenever you speak in the Name of Jesus, it is as though Jesus is speaking.

This is your rhema today; according to Mark 16:17-18, In His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Amen.

Delegated power.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Luke 10:19

What does it mean to empower? To empower is to authorize or to give legal capacity or authority to someone. It also means to enable. To empower is to endow with ability. It also means to infuse with power or strength.

Jesus in our opening scripture, is empowering us with His word. The word 'power' in our opening scripture is from the Greek word 'exousia'. It refers to delegated power or delegated influence. It also means right, privilege, authority, jurisdiction, etc.

This is your rhema: you have the legal authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Serpents and scorpions are symbols of satan. He is called the old serpent, the devil in Revelation 12:9. But you have been given the legal authority to trample on satan. He is your subject.

For instance, in the army, if you have one General,

and eight thousand Privates. All the Privates are all under the authority of the General. You have been empowered by Jesus, therefore no matter the number of devils that comes against you, you can walk over them. Praise God.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the devil and all demons are my subject. According to the word of the Lord, I trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Amen.

For further study, read:
Mark 16:17-18, Luke 10:17, Acts 16:16-18.

Doing the Word:
If satan manifests anywhere around you, cast him out.

The source of wisdom

The source of wisdom.
“And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:”
Genesis 41:38-39

The Holy Spirit has come to augment your potential and to increase your capacity for success. Pharaoh chose Joseph to become the Prime minister of Egypt because he saw that the Spirit of God was in him, making him more than a match for any other man, because there was none as discreet and as wise as he was in all of Egypt.

This is your rhema for today: just like Joseph, you are discreet and wise because the Spirit of God is in you. He is all you need to excel and succeed in any field of human endeavor because He is the source of all wisdom and discretion. If you will rely on Him, He is able to cause you to function with such excellence and wisdom that will distinguish you from all your peers. He will always keep you ahead of your competition (the men of the senses) and give you favour with men of influence.

For instance, Joseph was not made Prime minister of Egypt because he knew Pharaoh. It was because the Spirit of God was in him he had wisdom and discretion because .

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the source of wisdom is in me. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of wisdom and Christ is the wisdom of God and Christ is in me. Therefore the wisdom of God is inside of me. Amen.

Function in your potential

Function in your potential.
“But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from] the Holy One, and you all know [the Truth] or you know all things.”
 1 John 2:20(AMP)

Many of God's children are living beneath their potential because they are not yet acquainted with the understanding of the dynamic workings of the Spirit of God in their lives. This is why I want to make you aware of this knowledge so that you can begin to function in the fullness of your potential in Christ. This is your rhema for today: you are anointed and empowered with all knowledge and wisdom. Amen.

Therefore, never again should you confess that you lack wisdom. Instead, declare that Christ has become your wisdom according to 1 Corinthians 1:30. You have the Spirit of Power, of Love and of a Sound mind according to 2 Timothy 1:7. This is the Spirit that you have inside of you. So, declare that you have the mind of Christ, mental sagacity that surpasses human intelligence.

Stop confessing that it is difficult for you to understand or that you are forgetful. Instead, declare according to John 14:26 that the Spirit of God is teaching you all things and bringing to your remembrance all the information you need. The Holy Spirit has become your memory box. Your memory is blessed. Praise God.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus I declare that the Spirit of the Lord rest upon me, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. Amen.

For further study, read:
Colossians 1:26-28, Colossians 2:3,9-10,

Doing the Word:
Keep your confessions consistent with God's ability at work in you.

The Person of the Anointing

The Person of the anointing.

“Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.”
1 Samuel 16:13

The Holy Spirit is the person of the anointing. Therefore, it is impossible for you to have the anointing function in your life without receiving and having a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.

When Samuel anointed David in our opening scripture, the Bible shows us that, the Spirit of the Lord, who is the Person of the anointing came upon him from that day forward. Notice that David was anointed to become king so that he will lead Israel. This shows us that you cannot lead effectively without the anointing.

God's people are already anointed, this is why before anyone is made a leader over God's people it is important that they receive the anointing for that responsibility. This is because, it is impossible to lead an anointed people without the anointing.

The measure of your influence over God's people  will be equivalent to the measure of the anointing on your life. Your rhema for today if you desire to function more in the anointing of the Holy Spirit is for you to learn to always recognize Him as a person, cultivate a relationship with Him by fellowshiping with Him daily; spending time praying in other tongues and learning to follow the inward witness because He guides you from within.

Instruction:
Today, please take out a few minutes to sing to the Lord in worship.

Anointed for a purpose.

Anointed for a purpose.
“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and he went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him.”
Acts 10:38(ISV)
God is the source of the anointing. What is the anointing? We can define the anointing as the empowerment of God's Spirit for a particular purpose. Without the anointing of God's Spirit it will be impossible to fulfill God's calling upon your life. That is why whenever God wants to do something with your life, He anoints you.
There is an anointing to do business or to Pastor a Church. There is an anointing to sing or to write. Therefore, the measure of the anointing upon your life is what will determine the measure of your effectiveness in your calling.
You may not walk in the fullest measure of the anointing God has given you at the beginning of your calling, but the measure of the anointing for your assignment increases by humility, faithfulness, consecration, obedience to divine instructions and sticking to divine timing, etc.
That is your rhema for today. Ensure that you stick with the principles listed above so that the measure of anointing for your assignment would increase.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because the anointing that I have received of you abides in me. That anointing sets me on the course that I should follow and teaches me all things for the fulfillment of your call upon my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.
For further study, read:
Matthew 4:23-25, Mark 6:54-56, Philippians 4:13.
Doing the Word.
Meditate on Philippians 4:13. Know that whatever God has called you to do is what He has empowered you to do. Focus on your assignment.

Endued With Power

Endued With Power
"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."
Luke 24:49

Power in our opening scripture refers to dunamis in the Greek. This also revers to the creative power of God. Everything God created was created through the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the creative power of God. Whatever God says, the Holy Spirit creates.

Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power (dunamis), after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you..." This shows us that the Holy Spirit si the one that imparts dunamis to us. Today, I want you to understand that the power that resides inside you if you have received the Holy Spirit, is the creative power of God.

The day you received the Holy Spirit was the day everything you required and needed for life came into you. This is why Peter said in 2 Peter 1:3, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue." This is your rhema for today; know that the divine power of God is already inside of you. The day you received the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues, you were sentenced to success.

1John 4:4 says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

CONFESSION:
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. By His divine power, I have received all that I require for life and godliness. Amen.

DOING THE WORD

Receive rhema

Receive rhema

"Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou hath come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God."
Acts 10:33

Today I want you to understand that the rhema of God is a specific word, to a specific person, at a specific time. Cornelius, speaking in our opening scripture, was ready to hear God's rhema (what God had commanded) for him from the mouth of Peter the Apostle.

A minister of the gospel is a messenger. He has the rhema of God in his mouth to all whom God sends him to. The Bible says in Acts 10:44, "while Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word." I want you to notice from the verse we just read that whenever God's rhema is spoken, God's presence is released. When Peter spoke the rhema that God gave him for Cornelius and those with him which was consistent with what God had said in His Word, the Holy Ghost fell on all of them that heard the word.

I pray that, as you receive the rhema that God has for you in this season through this devotional, may you be empowered and endued with the ability of God's Spirit to be, do and have all that God has ordained you to be, do and have in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Acts 17:11-12, Acts 28:28, 1Thessalonians 2:3

Doing the Word:
In this month be consistent with the Word of God. Search the scriptures daily.

"A Word in Due Season"

"A Word in Due Season"

"And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a jut man, and one that feareth God, and of god report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. " Acts 10:22.

Our opening scripture was the conversation between the men that was sent by Cornelius to Peter. Cornelius was warned by an angel to send for Peter, and to hear words of him. In order for you to have a better understanding of that, it is important for you to know that there are two basic words for "words" in the New Testament.

The first one is logos and refers to God's way of thinking. It is from logos you get the word "logic", it refers to a matter, concept, idea, body of divine revelation (body of God's thoughts or how God thinks). Just as every word you speak is an overflow of your thoughts, and reveal God's way of thinking, talking and operation.

The second word used for "word"in the New Testament is rhema. This refers to an utterance or the spoken Word of God. The logos is what God has said while the rhema is what God is saying consistent with what God has said.

The word used for "words" in our opening scripture is rhema (What God is saying now). I want you to know that for every season of your life there is a rhema from God to you. In this month's devotional, God's rhema will be coming to you to empower you to take advantage of what God has made available to you in this season. Receive His Word every day with expectation and with them war a good warfare.

INSTRUCTION:
Give the Lord thanksgiving and praise for a new month and His faithfulness towards you. Also thank Him for anointing your ears and making you sensitive to His voice this season.

Acts 11:1-18

DOING THE WORD:
