Go for knowledge

Go for knowledge.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, …”
Hosea 4:6

The word destroy in our opening scripture means to fail, to be brought low, perish, made dumb, etc.

From the foregoing, it means that failure is traceable to a lack of knowledge. So, if you are failing, what you need is not just somebody to pray for you; you need to find out what you do not know.

Success that is not founded on knowledge is not sustainable. It is when you know what made you succeed at first; you will be able to produce the same measure of success again.

To lack knowledge means to be unaware. This proves that what you do not know is what is killing you. In other words, you are vulnerable to what you do not know. Your greatest enemy is your ignorance, not the devil. A man of God said, “Ignorance is deadlier than satan.” This is because satan's greatest weapon is deception, and you can only deceive the ignorant. Where you are ignorant is your greatest point of vulnerability and that is where satan will keep on attacking you.

To reject knowledge means not valuing knowledge at all. Some people never read their Bibles, proving that they do not value the knowledge of God. Your life is a reflection of the value you place on knowledge. The quality of your life is the quality of your knowledge. Your life cannot be more excellent than your knowledge, so get knowledge.

Instruction.
Please pray the prayer in Colossians 1:9 for yourself today.

Lessons from the poor

Lessons from the poor.
“Then I said to myself, "Well, these are just poor people. They don't know any better…”
Jeremiah 5:4(MSG)

Today, I want to share with you some habits of the poor that has kept them poor. If you notice that you have any of these habits, refrain from them and start practicing the opposite from today and you will become rich.

Firstly, I found out that poor people are very stingy people and they do not know that their stinginess will cause them to remain poor. Be generous. Give a certain percentage of your income to help others.

I have also discovered that poor people hardly take risks. Many of the rich men in the world took a calculated risk and they became rich.

Also, I have come to observe that poor people do not read. They do not value knowledge. I remember a time when someone bought a book for about four thousand dollars. When they asked the man who wrote the book why he made it that expensive, he said that he did not want everybody to read it. I came to discover that a poor man does not place value on knowledge. Knowledge is too expensive for the poor.

I have also observed that wealthy people buy messages a lot, but poor people do not buy messages. They prefer to save their money at the expense of receiving information and knowledge that is able to change their financial status.

Poor people are not willing to invest in knowledge; they wait until they can get it for free. That gives the rich an edge over the poor, because the rich are willing to invest in knowledge. So they know what the poor do not know, that is why they are richer. Therefore, make up your mind to invest in knowledge.

Instruction.
List out the habits you have learnt today about the poor in a tabular form, then write down, on the opposite side, the opposite of those habits and begin to practice them.

For further study, read:
Isaiah 27:11, Hosea 4:6, Proverbs 8:10, Proverbs 15:14, Proverbs 24:3-5, 14.

Doing the Word
Invest in knowledge.

Worship

Worship.
“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate now for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2(AMP)

There are principles that govern divine manifestations. For instance, many people are unaware that a time of worship is a time that we hear from God. Worship opens your spirit to hear from God.

During a time of worship you can hear a rhema that can position you for your destiny. It is important you take worship seriously. Those who do not know how God operates may not prioritize their times of worship.

According to our opening scripture, Barnabas and Saul got the rhema that positioned them for their destiny during the time of worship. In April 1996, I was in a camp meeting, as we worshipped, God began to talk to me concerning this ministry and that rhema I received positioned me for my destiny.

In 2 Kings 3:15-16 Elisha demanded that a mistrel played before him, and as she did the power of the Lord came upon him and he began to prophesy. Prioritize worship because it is the door way to the supernatural.

Instruction.
Maintain an attitude of praise and worship to the Lord today.

For further study, read:
Acts 16:25-26, Ephesians 5:18-19, Colossians 3:16.

Doing the Word
Speak to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Understand God's Way

Understand God's way.
“Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.”
 Jeremiah 5:4

Wherever you are suffering lack today is because of a lack of knowledge or a principle you are ignoring in that area. According to our opening scripture, the people were poor because they did not know the way of the Lord, in other words, they did not know how God operated.

Jeremiah 5:5 says, “I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.” People become great by understanding principles. It is understanding principles that make people princes.

Matthew 11:28-29 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

The more you learn eternal principles from the Lord, the more favour you will enjoy. Learning is your escape from struggles. When you learn there will be rest in your soul. Therefore, as you put these principles you have learnt to practice, you will activate favour and you will find rest for your soul.

Instruction.
Please pray the prayer in Ephesians 1:17 for yourself today.

For further study read:
Psalm 25:12-13, Psalm 32:8, Psalm 37:23,
 John 8:31-32.

Doing the Word:
Go for the knowledge of God's Word, for any area of your life you are struggling.

Consecration activates favour

Consecration activates favour.
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.”
Daniel 1:8-9

Our opening scripture shows us that consecration activates favour. In Ruth Chapter one, you will read about Ruth and Orpah who were both daughters-in-law of Noami. They were married to Noami’s sons who were, at this time,  dead.

Orpah chose to return to her people but Ruth chose not to leave Noami but to go with her wherever she went. When she made that consecration saying in Ruth 1:16-17, “… Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.” When Ruth consecrated herself that way, she stepped into favour and she finally got remarried.

The Bible says in Proverbs 14:9(MSG), “The stupid ridicule right and wrong, but a moral life is a favored life.”

Instruction.
I encourage you to consecrate yourself to God again today to live a morally upright life.

For further study, read:
Psalm 141:4, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 2 Corinthians 7:1.

Doing the Word
Maintain your moral integrity. It activates favour.

State of Favour

State of favour.
“For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12

Today, it is obvious to us that God's favour upon our lives surrounds us like a shield. This means that the favour of God protects us. The favour of God will protect you, your household, and all that you have on every side.

I pray for you that armed robbers will not visit your house. I pray for you and your household, that none of you shall be kidnapped; none of you shall be assassinated in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that you and your family are protected from stray bullets, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. The evil machinations of the enemy against you and your house are brought to nothing in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:2(WNT) says, “through whom also, as the result of faith, we have obtained an introduction into that state of favour with God in which we stand, …” You live in a state of favour as a child of God. Therefore, whatever you believe for and confess, God is able to bring it to pass for you because He has brought you to a state of favour.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am standing in God’s favour. I have found favour with God and men. I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 84:11, Psalm 102:13, Proverbs 11:27.

Declare what you want and expect it to come to pass because you have found favour with God.

A life of favour.

A life of favour.
“And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]?”
Job 1:8(AMP)

Notice from our opening scripture that the Lord boasted about Job that he was an upright man even though he was a business man. This debunks the belief some people have that it is difficult to walk in integrity and prosper. Choose to walk in integrity in whatever you do, and as you do, I pray that God will raise you to greater heights in your business. He will raise you in such a way that your wealth will humble the wicked.

The Bible says in Psalm 67:6, “God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.” May God bless you in such a way that people will fear Him. According to Jeremiah 33:9, the goodness and the prosperity that God will bring to you will make men fear Him. I pray that God will bless you in such a way that Jesus will become attractive, that even those who mocked you will come to serve your God.

A Prayer for you.
I pray for you that in this season of favour, may God give you the grace to become the greatest in your community, state, nation and even in the world. I pray that even in the latter part of this year, you will receive a promotion and a blessing that is far greater than what you worked for in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

For further study, read:
Numbers 6:24-27, Psalm 29:11, 2 Thessalonians 3:16.

Doing the Word:
Expect a promotion in this season.

Express joy

Express joy.
“And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.”
 Deuteronomy 33:24

Asher, in our opening scripture, is interpreted as Happy. God wants you to live in joy and express joy. This is because when you are depressed, you will stop the flow of favour. Therefore, you must maintain your joy and serve God with joy.

See what happened to the children of Israel because they refused to serve the Lord with the joy and gladness of heart. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 28:47-48, “Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.”

This means that when you lose your joy and walk in Depression, you open the door to oppression. Nehemiah 8:10(GNB) says, “Now go home and have a feast. Share your food and wine with those who don't have enough. Today is holy to our Lord, so don't be sad. The joy that the LORD gives you will make you strong.”

Confession.
The joy of the Lord is my strength. No matter what is happening to me, I choose to rejoice because all things are working together for my good. In the morning am favoured. At noon am favoured.  At night am favoured. The favour of God is upon me and all I lay my hands to do. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 17:22, Isaiah 12:1-3, 2 Corinthians 8:2.

Doing the Word:
Always serve the Lord with joy and gladness of heart. Count it as a privilege to serve Him.

The Blessing of the Lord

The blessing of the Lord.
“You are the descendants (sons) of the prophets and the heirs of the covenant which God made and gave to your forefathers, saying to Abraham, And in your Seed (Heir) shall all the families of the earth be blessed and benefited.”
Acts 3:25(AMP)

If God wants all the families of the earth to be blessed, it implies that all the families of the earth are not blessed. You need to covet the blessing of the Lord. The blessing of the Lord is not the same with every other blessing.

Your father may bless you, your uncle and your friends may bless you, but it is not the same as the blessing of the Lord. The blessing of the Lord comes from Jesus Christ, so if you are not born again, you are not blessed. Acts 3:26(AMP) says, “It was to you first that God sent His Servant and Son Jesus, when He raised Him up [provided and gave Him for us], to bless you in turning every one of you from your wickedness and evil ways.”

Without being born again and receiving the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ, every other blessing is temporary - you can lose them. But when the blessing of the Lord Jesus is upon you it will sustain you in a life of prosperity. Even if you have lost all you had physically, the blessing of the Lord can give you twice as much as you lost previously just like Job.

Confession.
By my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that the blessing of Abraham is upon me, I am a great nation; I have a great name and I am a blessing. Everyone that blesses me is blessed, and anyone that curses me is cursed. In me shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Amen.

For further study, read:
Galatians 3:9-14, Ephesians 1:3, 1 Peter 3:9.

Doing the Word:
Always be willing to do good to others because you are the blessed of the Lord.

Honour God 2

Honour God 2.
“The reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it rests satisfied; he cannot be visited with [actual] evil.”
Proverbs 19:23(AMP)

To experience a lifetime of unbroken favour, you must make God the most honourable person in your life. As a man or woman that honours God, you must consciously express your fear, reverence and regard for God in all your dealings. All Job needed to be the greatest man in the East was to fear God and to hate evil according to Job 1:8.

When you honour God this way by having a high regard for Him according to our opening scripture, you will be able to minimize misfortune. Conflicts increases in our lives when we depend on human ability. You can minimize the conflicts in your life by putting your hope, trust and confidence in God.

Jesus finally overcame the devil when he was tempted in Matthew 4:3-11 by following this principle of honouring God above all else. Matthew 4:8-11(AMP) says, “Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory (the splendor, magnificence, preeminence, and excellence) of them. And he said to Him, These things, all taken together, I will give You, if You will prostrate Yourself before me and do homage and worship me. Then Jesus said to him, Begone, Satan! For it has been written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him alone shall you serve. [Deut. 6:13.] Then the devil departed from Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”

Instruction.
Let your honour for the Lord be so firm that you are willing to give up anything in the entire world to worship Him.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 10:27, Psalm 33:18-19, Psalm 103:17.

Doing the Word:
Only God should be worshipped by you. Do not idolize any man, job, money, or any material thing.

Honour God 1

Honour God 1. “A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.” Malachi 1:6-7 Our opening scripture shows us that one of the ways we express our honour for the Lord is in our giving. Do not be like one of those who look for the least amount they have whenever they want to give to God. They are never moved to give God their best. But God is saying in our opening scripture, “… if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear?” In John 8:29, Jesus said, “…the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” This shows us that Jesus honoured the Father. Jesus honoured the Father so much that He was willing to give His life so that we can be saved. Do you honour the Father? It would be expressed in your giving.

David was described as a man after God's heart. This was what he said one time he had an opportunity to offer a sacrifice to God in 2 Samuel 24:24(GNB), “… I will not offer to the LORD my God sacrifices that have cost me nothing." And he bought the threshing place and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver.” When David offered this sacrifice, it activated favour and God heard his prayers. See 2 Samuel 24:25.

Instruction.
I challenge you to make a commitment to God not to offer sacrifices that cost you nothing, just like David.

For further study read:
Deuteronomy 17:1, 1 Chronicles 29:1-21,            Malachi 1:11-14, Malachi 3:8-12.

Doing the Word:
Honour God in your giving.

Loving God

Loving God.
“Grace (God's undeserved favor) be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with undying and incorruptible [love]. Amen (so let it be).”
 Ephesians 6:24(AMP)

Loving God is putting Him first. What you do first is your priority. The difference in people is their routine. The difference in outcomes is their habits. The reason one person makes more progress than another is tied to his habits. Our habits reveal what we do daily. What you do daily determines what you become permanently. Therefore, if you are going to enjoy a lifetime of unbroken favour, there are things that you must do daily. One of such things is to always put God first in everything.

So how do you put God first? The first way to put God first is by putting Him first in your day. Psalm 63:1 says, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;”

Secondly, you must put God first in your finances. Matthew 6:19-21 says, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” What you do with your money reveals your priorities.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you cause my love to abound more and more in knowledge and in all judgment, that I may approve things that are excellent and that I may remain sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Proverbs 3:9-10, Genesis 28:20-22, Psalm 5:3.

Doing the Word
Schedule your routine in such a way that God comes first in your day. Let God also come first in your finances. The first thing you do when you receive money should be to tithe.

Put the kingdom first

Put the kingdom first.
“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”
Matthew 6:33(AMP)

If you want to enjoy the favour of God consistently, then it is important for you to prioritize kingdom agenda. That is, you have to put kingdom agenda first. This is what you must do to experience a lifetime of unbroken favour, you must be totally dedicated to God and His kingdom.

An example of a people in scripture who activated the favour of God towards themselves because they prioritized the kingdom was the Macedonian Church. They were so addicted to the kingdom of God and God's agenda that, inspite of the fierce troubles they were experiencing, they gave spontaneously, even beyond what they could afford when they heard of the contributions for the relief of the poor Christians. Paul shows us why they were able to do this in 2 Corinthians 8:5(MSG), “… What explains it was that they had first given themselves unreservedly to God and to us. The other giving simply flowed out of the purposes of God working in their lives.”

A special favour and grace was bestowed on the Macedonian Church because of their unreserved devotion to God and to His kingdom. (2 Corinthians 8:1)

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you because the grace upon the Macedonian Church is released upon me even as I give myself unreservedly to You and to the kingdom, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:14-15,
2 Corinthians 8:1-5.

Doing the Word:

The doctrine of righteousness 2

The doctrine of righteousness 2.
“And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”
Philippians 3:9

Yesterday, we examined two of the four counts of righteousness. The first count was that righteousness is by faith in Jesus Christ. On the second count of righteousness, we saw that because we believe in Jesus Christ, righteousness has become our covering.

The third count of righteousness states that Christ is our righteousness. 1 Corinthians 1:30 shows us that Christ is our righteousness, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”

The fourth count of righteousness states that we are the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Romans 5:17(AMP) says, “For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

Confession:
By my faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work, I declare that I am righteous. Righteousness is my covering. Christ has been made unto me wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. For He was made sin for me, who knew no sin; that I might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Amen.

For further study, read:
Romans 5:18-21, Romans 8:1-4, Romans 10:3-10.

Doing the Word:
Rest in the righteousness which is of God by faith.

The doctrine of righteousness 1

The doctrine of righteousness 1.

“THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, …”
Romans 5:1(AMP)

Today, I want you to know, according to our opening scripture, that if you are born again, it means that you have been acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God.

In the New Testament, it is on four counts that we are made righteous. Today, I am going to show you two. The first count of righteousness states that we become righteous by faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:16(BBE) says, “Being conscious that a man does not get righteousness by the works of the law, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we had faith in Christ Jesus, so that we might get righteousness by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law will no flesh get righteousness.”

The second count of righteousness states that because we believe in Jesus Christ, righteousness has become our covering. Isaiah 61:10(BBE) says, “I will be full of joy in the Lord, my soul will be glad in my God; for he has put on me the clothing of salvation, covering me with the robe of righteousness, as the husband puts on a fair head-dress, and the bride makes herself beautiful with jewels.” This righteousness has been put upon us according to Romans 3:22, “Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:”

Confession:
I declare that I have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness; therefore I reign in life by Jesus Christ my Lord.

For further study, read:
Galatians 5:4-5, Romans 3:23-28, Romans 4:1-8.

Doing the Word:
Thank the Father for the gift of righteousness.

Do not live under the curse.

Do not live under the curse.
“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:”          Ephesians 2:11-12

To enjoy a lifetime of favour you will have to be born again. This is because the man outside of Christ is under a curse, whether he knows it or not. Our opening scripture shows us that the man that is not born again is without Christ, he has no share in the commonwealth of Israel, the covenant of promise, and is without hope and God in the world. As a result, he cannot have the favour of God working for him.

Till today, because of the commonwealth of Israel that our opening scripture talks about, the Jews still remain one of the most successful people in the world because of that blessing upon them.

This is why it is important for you to be born again. That is only way you can be redeemed from the curse and gain access to the blessing through Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:13-14 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Confession.
I declare that Christ hath redeemed me from the curse of the law, being made a curse for me: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Therefore the blessing of Abraham has come upon me through Jesus Christ; and I have received the promise of the Spirit through faith. Amen.

For further study, read:
Ephesians 2:13-19, Colossians 1:20-23, Titus 3:3-7.

Doing the Word:
If you are not born again, we encourage you to pray the prayer of salvation on page 66.

You have a better end

You have a better end.
“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”
Job 8:7
God always starts things small. He builds on principles. This is why every great vision starts small. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”
Your beginning may be small, difficult or challenging. But no matter what your beginning is like, always be conscious that the end of a thing is better than the beginning. This means that it does not matter how your life may have started, it will surely end better.
The process in the fulfillment of a dream requires patience. Therefore, if you are going to get to the end of your dream or vision, you will have to be patient. Hebrews 10:35-38 says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”
When it looks as though the dream or vision is taking time to be fulfilled always remember that God uses the process of patience to develop your character. Romans 5:4 says, “And patience, experience; and experience, hope:” The Amplified Bible shows it to us more clearly saying, “And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.”
Prayer:
Dear Father, I choose to hold on to your Word to me inspite of all contrary evidence. I believe that it will be unto me as you have said. Though my beginning was small, yet my latter end should greatly increase. Thank you Father, in Jesus Name. Amen.
For further study, read:
Deuteronomy 8:16, Job 42:10-17, Psalm 37:37.
Doing the Word:
Do not draw back from God's will because of contrary pressure.

The culture of honour

The culture of honour.
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:1-3

If you want to activate the favour of God on your life then you have to learn the culture of honour. Having the culture of honour helps to release the blessing and the favour of God in your life.

Our opening scripture is the fifth commandment which is the number of grace. It is the only commandment that comes with a blessing. Five is also the number of favour. So, if you want to activate favour, then you have to honour your father and mother.

I heard of a young man that died after beating up his father. The reason why such persons do not live long is very clear: they did not honour their parents. When last did you send something home to your parents? You do not need to have much to begin to practice this principle. I started by sending recharge cards to my parents, but today, as God has increased me, I send much more than that to them. If you do not learn to give to them from what you have now, you will not remember to give to them when you have much.

Honour activates favour, prioritize it.

Prayer.
Dear Father, thank you for teaching me the culture of honour. As I put it to practice, I thank you because favour is activated on my behalf, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Let God lead you

Let God lead you.
“… Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”
John 2:5

Faith cannot override the leading of God's Spirit. For instance, If God gives you an instruction and tells you not to travel, listen to Him and obey. Do not insist on your own way and begin to confess the scriptures that your going out is blessed and your coming in is blessed.

Your faith cannot override the leading of God's Spirit because the God that will protect you is the One who is telling you not to travel. So if you go  ahead to disobey the leading of God's Spirit not to travel, you are moving outside of the shield of favour at that moment and have become vulnerable. This explains why some Christians die in accidents. Sometimes it is because they violated divine instruction.

There are three important things about divine instructions. Firstly, obedience to divine instructions guarantees your protection. This is because wherever God guides you, He will protect you. Secondly, obedience to divine instructions guarantees your provision. This is because wherever God guides you, He provides for you. Thirdly, obedience to divine instructions will lead to your promotion.

Prayer.
Dear Father, teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart unto wisdom, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 6:22, Hebrews 11:7, Luke 5:5-6, Luke 6:46-49.

Doing the Word:
Obey divine instructions for it is your life.

The Blessing

The blessing.
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of the Lord is the divine empowerment to get wealth. So if you have a desire to be wealthy, you must understand that God has a way to lead you to wealth different from the world's way.

God's way is the blessing way. Therefore when you learn the way of the blessing you will be able to live outside the world's system.

Abraham was wealthy and the Bible shows us the source of his wealth. His servant said in Genesis 24:35, “And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.” This reveals that the blessing of the Lord made Abraham great and gave him great wealth.

God does not just give you fame, He makes you great. What is fame? Fame is popularity. Popularity is temporary significance while greatness is having enduring significance. It is the blessing of the Lord that makes you great.

Therefore if you will learn how to receive, function and flow with the blessing, greatness will be the consequence.

Confession:
In the Name of Jesus I declare that the blessing of the Lord is heavy upon me. Therefore I am empowered to be, do and have all that God has ordained for me to be, do and have. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 32:9-10, Genesis 32:24-29, Genesis 35:9-12.

Doing the Word:
Do not trivialize the blessing like Esau (Genesis 25:29-34).

Activating Favour 2

Activating favour 2.
“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”
Hebrews 11:8

Our opening scripture shows us that Abraham's obedience to divine instruction activated the blessing and the favour of God upon his life. This means that a life of blessing and favour requires an unqualified committal to God's will for your life.

Are you willing to abandon yourself to the integrity of God and His Word? Abraham would have decided to go back to the land God called him out from, but he chose to abandon himself to the integrity of God, following and obeying the divine instructions promptly as they came to him.

You have to come to that point where you know that no Word from God shall be void of power or impossible of fulfillment. This means that God's power flows in the direction of His rhema to you. Therefore, when God tells you to do something, or demands something from you, you ought to receive that word with confidence and a willingness to obey, knowing that His provision will back you up.

Do you have a specific instruction from God concerning your life? If you do, then do not allow anything to distract you from going in that direction or obeying that Word from God to you. This is because, all of God's power, blessings and favour for you will only flow in the direction of His rhema for your life. Therefore prioritize divine instructions.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you fill me with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 40:7-8, Job 23:12, Job 36:11.

Doing the Word:
This is the time to take that step God has put in your heart to take, expect His provision to back you up.

Activating Favour 1

Activating favour 1.
“And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:”
Genesis 26:1-2

One way you activate the blessing and the favour of God upon your life is by following divine instructions.

There was a famine in Gerar, according to our opening scripture, and Isaac wanted to leave for Egypt because of the famine but the Lord appeared to him and told him not to go down into Egypt and he obeyed. Obeying divine instructions keeps you in the center of God's will for your life.

Are you quick to obey divine instructions when you receive them? In Genesis 26:3 the Lord said to Isaac, “Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;” Genesis 26:6 says, “And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:” As a result the Bible says in Genesis 26:12-14, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.”

Therefore, if you are not experiencing the favour of God in your life, one of the things you must observe in your life is your attitude to divine instructions.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for the release of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you towards me today, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 12:1, Genesis 22:1-18,  Proverbs 23:12.

Doing the Word
Obey divine instructions even if they seem unfavourable.

No more struggling

No more struggling.
“For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.”
Psalm 44:3

When the favour of God is upon your life, it will remove from your life unnecessary toiling and struggling to get things done. The Bible shows us in our opening scripture that they got their land not by their sword, or by their own arm, but by the favour of God.

When the favour of God is upon your life, it will facilitate things to come to you for free. The Message translation of Psalm 44:3 says “We didn't fight for this land; we didn't work for it--it was a gift! You gave it, smiling as you gave it, delighting as you gave it.”

You would not need to struggle for anything when the favour of God is upon your life. No matter how diligent or hard working you are as a Christian, always choose to recognize and rely on the favour of God as the secret of your success. Deuteronomy 8:17-18 says, “And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Prayer:
Dear Father, I choose to recognize and rely on your favour as the secret of my success. I confess that it is not my power neither was it the might of my hands that has given me this wealth. Lord, You are the One that has given me the power to get wealth. Thank you Father in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Genesis 24:35, Genesis 26:1-3, 6, 12-14,
1 Samuel 2:7-8.

Strategic Advantage

Strategic advantage.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
 Romans 8:28

To favour equally means to give someone a strategic advantage. This means that when the favour of God is upon your life, you cannot be disadvantaged. Wherever you are, you will be loved and you will continue to experience progress and new levels of success.

For instance, when Joseph was in Potiphar's house, he was made the boss. When he got into prison, he was still made the boss and when he got into the palace, he was made ruler over all Egypt. This is because the man or woman that has the favour of God upon his life would thrive wherever he goes no matter how favourable or unfavourable that place might be.

Be conscious of favour. When you are conscious of favour you will not be a complainer. Instead, you will be confident, knowing that all things will work together for your good. Even when unpleasant circumstances happen around you, you must maintain that favourable disposition, knowing that it will turn out for your good.

Any evil planned against you will end up giving you a strategic advantage because of the favour of God upon your life. This was the kind of understanding Joseph had, and he said to his brothers in Genesis 45:4-5, 8. “And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.”

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you because your favour has given me strategic advantage in the midst of negative occurrences. You cause all things to work together for my good because I love you, and because I am called according to your purpose, in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 30:5, Romans 8:37, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18.

Doing the Word:
If you are experiencing any challenge right now do not fret, it will turn out for your good. It is a positioning.

Highly Favoured

HIGHLY FAVOURED
"and the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women."

What does it mean to be blessed? To be blessed means to be highly favoured.
Psalm 5:12 says, "For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield."If you are born again, it is important for you to be aware that wherever you go, you carry an atmosphere of favour with you. It does not matter the negative things that may have been happening there before you came. Things will change because you have arrived with favour.

For instance, if you were transferred to a difficult department in your place of work and are currently working under a very difficult boss in a department that has been unproductive, as a child of God, your attitude must be different because you are highly favoured, you carry an atmosphere of favour wherever you go. Know that your presence there, will cause things to start working because you have brought favour to that place of difficulty. That is the race upon your life.

When Joseph was brought down to Egypt, God's favour was still upon his life, even though he came in as a slave. Genesis 39:2(AMP) says, "But the Lord was with Joseph, and he (though a slave) was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian."It does not matter who you are or where you work, remember that Joseph started out as a slave. Therefore, if you will be conscious of the favour of God upon your life, it will totally transform your status and make you successful and prosperous in all your affairs.

PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank You because I am highly favoured. Thank You for the atmosphere of favour that is with me everywhere I go. Wherever I go,things will start working. Whatever I lay my hands to do will be successful and prosperous, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Psalm 84:11-12, Genesis 39:2-6, Genesis 39:21-23.

DOING THE WORD:

YOU ARE BLESSED

YOU ARE BLESSED
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:"Ephesians 1:3

The believer in Christ is already a blessed man or woman because being born again is being born into the blessing. The Bible says in 1 Peter 3:9(AMP), "...for know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit blessing(from God--that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection)."

Galatians 3:26(AMP) says, "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith."The word sons here is from the Greek word "uihos" which refers to mature sons. This means that through faith in Christ Jesus, when we got born again, we were given access to what the first born (Jesus) had access to.

Galatians 3:27 says, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." To put on Christ means to "sink into Christ", "to be wrapped in Christ" or "to be clothed with Christ". This means that, as a Christian, the Father deals with you as though He is dealing with Jesus, Therefore, whatever He will give to Jesus, He will give to you. He responds to your prayer as though Jesus prayed. This is your true identity as a Christian, so walk in this consciousness because, from the day you got born again, you were baptized into Christ. Now you are clothed with Him. What a blessing you have received ! Praise God!

CONFESSION:
Blessed be the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He has chosen me in HIm before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and without blame before Him in love.

DOING THE WORD:
Give thanks to the Lord because the blessing of Abraham is yours.

From punishment to forgivness

From Punishment to Forgiveness
"So, why can't I likewise change what i

feel about Nineveh from anger to

pleasure, this big city of more than a

hundred and twenty thousand childlike

people who don't yet know right from

wrong, to say nothing of all the innocent

animals?"
Jonah 4:11(MSG)

God does not delight in the death of a

sinner or in doing evil. This was why God

wanted to save the people of Nineveh who

were a very wicked people. Initially, He

had decided to judge them for their sins

and to destroy them. But before He did,

He gave them one more opportunity to

repent and turn from their sins so that

He will forgive them and not destroy

them.

God sent Jonah to go and preach in

Nineveh to warn the people that they will

be overthrown in forty days if they do

not repent. Jonah refused because he knew

that if they believed and repented from

their sins and wickedness, God will

forgive them and will no longer destroy

them. Jonah wanted God to destroy the

people of Nineveh for their sins, but God

wanted to save them.

Finally, when Jonah preached to them,

they believed and repented, "God saw what

they had done, that they had turned away

from their evil lives. He did change his

mind about them. What He said He would do

to them He didn't do."

"Jonah was furious, He lost his temper.

He yelled to GOD, "GOD!  I knew it-- when

I was back home, I knew this was going to

happen! That's why I ran off to Tarshish!

I knew You were sheer grace and mercy,

not easily angered, rich in love, and

ready at the drop of a hat to turn your

plans of punishment into a program of

forgivness!" Jonah 4:1-2(MSG) if you will

respond to His favour today and repent

and be born again, He will turn His plans

of punishment into plans of forgiveness

for you.

INSTRUCTION:
Due to this understanding you have

received, pray for the salvation of souls

today, that their hearts will be opened

to the love of God and the gospel of the

Lord Jesus Christ. Also, tell someone

about the love of God today.
