Love the undeserving 1.

Thursday, February   16th.
Love the undeserving 1.

“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”
Matthew 18:21-22

Peter one of the Apostles of Jesus wanted to know how many times he should forgive his brother that sins against him, he asked, “till seven times?” Jesus answered and said to him, “but, Until seventy times seven.” That is how many times we are to forgive those who offend us in a day.

You will agree that it is rare to find someone who will be able to sin against you seventy times seven times in a day. This shows us that we have a duty to keep on forgiving those who sin against us just like Jesus has forgiven us.

Choosing the path of unforgiveness is breaking God's Word. Therefore, our reaction to others reveals who we are. If you want to know who you really are, let somebody offend you, your true colour will come out. But if you are able to control yourself when others offend you and are still willing to forgive them knowing that you have an obligation to love according to the Word of God, you are truly an expression of who a Christian truly is. You are Christ revealed to your world.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because your love in me is greater than the hate in the world, therefore I am strengthened by your Spirit to love unconditionally and also to overcome all evil with good, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word.
Keep on forgiving.
