Manifesting the word

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:18(KJV)
From our opening scripture today, I want you to understand that, there are some conditions you must meet for you to be able to bring the Word of God to pass in your life.
The first thing as stated in our opening scripture, is to lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness from your heart. In other words, the Word of God that has been sown into your heart would become ineffective, if you do not get rid of all moral uncleanness, bad habits and unbelief. As long as you still hold such things in your heart, they will choke the Word. See Matthew 13:22, Mark 4:19, Luke 8:14.
Therefore, if you are reading this devotional today and you have any form of moral uncleanness, bad habit or unbelief in your heart, I will encourage you to repent, and completely turn from such ways, because if you continue in them, you will not see the fullness of the Word of God manifested in your life.
It is when you have totally purged your heart, that you can now actually receive with meekness the engrafted
Word which is able to save your soul. The engrafted Word which the Bible is talking about here, refers to the Word that has been sown into your heart. That word according to the Bible is able to save, that is, heal, preserve and bring wholeness to your soul.
So, don't argue with the Word of God. Whatever the Word of God says, let your heart say a yes to it, with a corresponding compliance to the Word, because it is able to produce wholeness in your soul. In other words, whatever the Word says, will be completely manifested and perfected in you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I come to you just as I am. I receive grace from your Spirit to live above every weakness. I choose to turn away from all that displeases you. Thank you Father for Your Word cleanses me, and sanctifies me in my spirit, soul and body in Jesus Name. Amen.

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;” James 1:2(KJV)
You may read the Word in our opening scripture and ask, “how can I count it a thing of joy when I am faced with a challenge or a temptation?” James 1:3-4 tells you the reason you should count it all joy. He says, “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
You will notice from James 1:3, that your attitude to life in times of trials and temptation is a revelation of your knowledge. That will begin to help you understand why someone can still be joyful when he is going through challenges, because he has Word-based knowledge. That knowledge which he has from God's Word, helps him to maintain a victorious attitude in the face of challenges.
Do you know that your faith actually needs those challenges for it to be perfect? Those phases and times of challenges are actually opportunities for your faith to show its true colours, and for it to be well developed, so that it will not be deficient in anyway. See 1 Peter 1:6-9.
Therefore, child of God, do not run away from challenges, embrace them, “for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:3-4(GNB)
PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because I know that the trial of my faith, refines my faith of all impurities, so that the strength of Christ is revealed in me, empowering me, for anything so that I can be equal to anything through the sufficiency of Christ in me, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Do you know God's will for you?

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”
Colossians 1:9(KJV)
From our opening scripture, we see that it is God's desire for you to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Why is it important you know God's will for your life, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding? Colossians 1:10 shows us, “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
This means that when you pray Colossians 1:9, your life will become more pleasing to God, because understanding the knowledge of His will, helps you to minimize your mistakes. Also, when wisdom and understanding is at work in you, it will increase your effectiveness, making you more fruitful, even as you increase in your knowledge of God.
Colossians 1:11 shows us more results the prayer in Colossians 1:9 is going to accomplish in us. As you pray this prayer, you will be; “Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” This lets you know that if you are going to be patient in the midst of challenges, and still be filled with joy, you must be filled with the knowledge of God's will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Therefore, with this understanding, I believe you can now see the importance of praying this prayer, so, if you want to know God's will for your life at every point in time, this is the prayer that you must pray for yourself often.
INSTRUCTION

You are a possessor

“Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.” Luke 8:18(KJV)
You will notice from our opening scripture, that the one that says he has nothing, even that which he has, shall be taken. But I thought he didn't have anything? No. God knows he has something. This is because God gives us things by His Word.
Do you know you have something? Never in your life say again, “I don't have anything.” This is because when God speaks to you, whatever He says in His Word is yours is automatically your possession.
You will notice in our opening scripture, Jesus started by saying, ““Take heed therefore how ye hear:…” In other words, He is saying to us, “Be careful how you hear.” This is because whatever you hear and believe, becomes your possession. The Bible says in John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,…”
This is the principle for possession in the kingdom of God; hearing, believing and possession. This means you cannot possess, if you do not believe what you heard. Therefore, the question I will like to ask you today is this: “Do you believe every Word that God has spoken to you this year?” If you do, that means it is already your possession. It doesn't matter whether you have seen it with your physical eyes or not. Your evidence for possession is the Word of God.
Having this understanding is what will bring you into the reality of these things in the natural realm. God's Word translation, puts Luke 8:18 in this way, “"So pay attention to how you listen! Those who understand these mysteries will be given more knowledge. However, some people don't understand these mysteries. Even what they think they understand will be taken away from them."” Meditate upon these things.
CONFESSION
I am a believer and not a doubter, therefore, I lay claim to every good Word that God has spoken to me this year. I declare that all things are mine in Jesus Name. Amen.
For further study read:
Matthew 13:12, Mark 4:23-24(Amp), James 1:19-25.
DOING THE WORD
Bring out your prophecy note and confidently declare what God has spoken to you this year. They are your possession.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:10(KJV)
There are Christians, who make statements like, “I find it difficult to understand the Word of God.” or “I wish I can understand the Word of God like my Pastor.” Or maybe you are having difficulty understanding the Bible when you read it. That’s why you need to pray according to Ephesians 1:17-18.
As a child of God, I will also like you to understand that, “…it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, …” Matthew 13:11. In other words, it is your right to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.
There are a lot of Christians who are not aware that the things of the kingdom ought not to be hidden from them. This is because, now that you are a child of God, you ought to be aware of the hidden truth of the kingdom of God.
This is because the Bible says in 1Corinthians 2:9-10 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”
Therefore as a child of God, know that the Spirit of God dwells in you, Jesus called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, saying in John 16:13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
That Spirit is in you now, therefore, the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:12, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth and revelation knowledge in the Word of God.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your precious Holy Spirit anoints the eyes of my heart to be able to receive accurate insight and revelation from your Word. Thank you Father for my eyes are anointed to see, my ears are anointed to hear, and my heart is anointed to understand in Jesus Name. Amen.

Do you understand?

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”
Ephesians 1:17-18(KJV)
The Apostle Paul in our opening scripture, prayed for the Ephesian church, that God should grant unto them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. What is the significance of this prayer? And why is it important for you to always pray this prayer for yourself?
The answer is in Ephesians 1:18, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” This means that when the Spirit of wisdom and revelation is at work in you, it will cause the eyes of your understanding to be enlightened, in other words, it will bring you better understanding.
Why is understanding important? Understanding enhances your focus. It helps you to eliminate distractions and questions from your heart. So, when you have a clear understanding of the Word of God, and the rhema He has given to us this year, it will eliminate distractions and questions from your heart concerning the integrity of the rhema that God has given to us. Understanding is the anchor of convictions.
Therefore, I will like to encourage you to buy the new year's message. You may have been there when the Word was proclaimed, it doesn't matter. If you want to see that Word manifested in your life, hearing it once is not enough to give you the clarity and understanding you need to run with it. See James 1:25.
So, buy the message and the teaching series that accompany it, listen to them again, and again, and again, because what you keep on hearing, you will eventually believe, and what you believe is what will be manifested. I believe that this is your year, its your time to shine again, so maintain your focus on the Word of God.

Guard your Heart

“When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart.” Matthew 13:19(KJV)
Today, I want you to notice from our opening scripture, that satan is always after the Word of God. He always wants to steal the Word of God that has been sown into your heart. It could be the Word that God has spoken to you, concerning this year, and the great things He will do in your life this year.
You must continually guard that Word in your heart. Do not allow any form of unbelief into your heart. How do you know unbelief is beginning to come into your heart? You know unbelief is beginning to creep into your heart, when you discover that you are beginning to question the integrity of the Word of God.
The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” So, one thing that you must do for yourself this new year, is to set up a guard over your heart. Therefore, any word, circumstance, feeling, news or person, that wants to make you question the Word of God must not be allowed into your heart.
Maintain your faith and focus on God's rhema Word to you this year, and turn your focus away from every contradicting distraction. I want you to know that every contradiction is only a mirage. It will surely change to conform to the Word that God has already given to you this year, if only you will maintain your confessions of faith. God creates the fruit of the lips. See Isaiah 57:19.
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:12(AMP), “Fight the good fight of the faith. lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.”
CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that the Word of God is fruitful and productive in my life, in my ministry, in my family, in my job, in my finances, in my health and all that has to do with me in Jesus Name.

Beware of covetousness.
07:29

“But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you.” Matthew 6:33(GW)
Before God brings you to your wealthy place, He trains you to master money. This is why He is teaching you to prioritize Him and not money or possessions.
The unbeliever prioritizes money and not God, so as a child of God, in case you have prioritized wrongly, you need to prioritize rightly today. That is what separates you from an unbeliever. Therefore, as a child of God, what determines your joy and happiness in life? Is it your car, your house, your money, your food, etc.?
If your joy and happiness is based on these things, it means that you have been possessed by things, because they now control your life, and your happiness. This is why you hear some persons make statements like, “Until I have that car, I will not be very happy.” Or “Until I make such an amount, I will not be fulfilled.”
Jesus said in Luke 12:15, “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” Covetousness is a trap of satan to cause you to worship mammon.
It is time to break free from all forms of covetousness, and let your satisfaction and fulfillment in life come from God alone, and not things. The things of this life will fade, they will grow old and diminish. Things are not eternal, they are subject to change. They all give temporary satisfaction.
Therefore, base your joy and fulfillment on the eternal Word of God that liveth, and abides forever. The Word of God created the world, so it can give to you every good thing of life. See John 1:3.
Confession.
Father, I acknowledge you as my source, and I rejoice in You, because You are able to supply all my need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I rest in Your everlasting love and faithfulness towards me. Amen.

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”
Matthew 6:31-32(KJV)
Do you know that your heavenly Father already knows about the issues that you are worrying about? He is already aware of your needs and concerns, but as long as you continue to worry about them, He is not going to do anything about it, because you are in unbelief. See 1Peter 5:7.
When you choose to rest from the worries of your life, that is when God will swing into action on your behalf.
Some Christians sometimes reveal their lack of faith and confident rest in God and His Word, by trying to make their way successful through the arm of the flesh. So, they begin to look for connections, or some begin to borrow money here and there. No, that's not the way of success. See Jeremiah 17:5-8.
The Psalmist said in Psalm 121:1-2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” Trusting in the arm of the flesh is also unbelief, because the arm of the flesh will fail you. See 1 Samuel 2:9. Psalm 20:7-8 says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.”
Therefore, turn away from man's wisdom and do what the Word says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Its time to put the Lord first, then watch Him add all those things you desire to you.
Prayer.
Dear Father, my trust is in you alone. I rest from all my worries because I believe and I expect you to do for me exceeding, abundantly, and far above all that I can ask or think today according to your Power that is at work in me, in Jesus Name. Amen.

“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matthew 6:25-26(KJV)
Our opening scripture is an instruction from Jesus to you. He tells you not to worry about your life. Don't worry about food and clothes. If your heavenly Father feeds the birds, how much more will He feed you.
Jesus is letting us know that we are of a greater value than birds. So, one thing you must not do this year is worry. Do not worry about anything, no matter how big or small. This is because God never gets involved in anything you are worrying about, because the root of worry is unbelief. Unbelief hinders God.
The Bible says in Matthew 6:27, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?” In other words, can you by worry become any taller than you are right now? If you can't do that, then, “… why take ye thought for raiment? …” Matthew 6:28. In other words, why then do you worry about clothes?“… Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:” Matthew 6:28. Jesus is teaching us about life from the lilies of the field, they grow without toiling or spinning. So, Jesus is teaching us that life is not just about struggling, or savings. I believe in saving and I teach others to save, but there is more to your success as a child of God than savings.
Therefore, Matthew 6:29-30 says, “And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” This shows you that your success in life as a child of God is dependent on your faith.
Instruction.

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” 2 Peter 1:20(KJV)
Our opening scripture lets us know that the Word of God means what He says, and says what He means.
Therefore, if God has said to you that this is your year of heaven on earth. Do not begin to wonder how that is going to be, just believe it and accept it literally. Meditate upon it, until it forms a mindset and a conviction in your heart.(See Deuteronomy 11:18-21)
So, make sure you buy the message for the year, and keep on listening to it again and again, until the truth of that Word, dawns on your heart.
Get the theme scriptures and use them in prayer, and continually declare them as your confession. In Isaiah 57:19, the Bible says, “I create the fruit of the lips; …” In other words, you are creating what you are saying about your year, your body, your family, your business, your spouse, your children, etc. God will not create for you anything different from what you are saying.
God told the children of Israel, “… Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.” Leviticus 20:24. But the children of Israel doubted and began to make the wrong confessions, as a result, God spoke to them and said in Numbers 14:30, “Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.”
Therefore, child of God, stop complaining and doubting, because God is able to do what He said He will do. Remember those who complained and doubted did not enter the promised land, but they died in the wilderness. It was only Joshua and Caleb that entered because they believed and confessed accordingly. So, do likewise.
Confession.
I believe, and therefore have I spoken: this is my year of heaven on earth, all the blessings that God has blessed me with in heavenly places in Christ, are manifested in my life in their fullness this year. I declare that God is causing all grace, every favour and earthly blessings to come to me in abundance, in Jesus Name.

“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” 1 Peter 3:7(KJV)
Sometimes, people wonder why I love my wife the way I do. One of the reasons is because of our opening scripture. This is why I give honour to my wife because we are heirs together of the grace of life.
Therefore, as I do the Word, I get the reward. All my prayers are answered. So, as a married man reading this today, do you know that you can actually shut the heavens over your life by the way you treat your wife? That's what the Bible says, (Please see Malachi 2:11-16) At the same time you can also live under an open heaven, just because of the way you treat your wife.
At this time of the year that we are fasting and praying, you can get much more from this spiritual exercise, if you will just change in your attitude towards your spouse.(See Isaiah 58:3-6,9)
Also, if you are a married woman reading this today, the Bible also teaches you on what you ought to do in Titus 2:4-5, “That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
So, as a married woman, the Bible encourages you to be sober(self controlled), love your husband and your children, be discreet(be prudent, and be cautious in speech), chaste(be virtuous and faithful), keepers at home(be a good house wife), finally, be obedient(submit yourself to your own husband.)
Any home where the husband and the wife put these things first to do them, that home will be filled with peace, and their marriage will be like heaven on earth.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for revealing the truth of your Word to me, I choose to be a doer of your Word. Therefore, as I put your Word to work in my marriage, may the blessing rest upon me and my household, and may my marriage be like heaven on earth, in Jesus Name, Amen.

“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Joshua 1:7-8(KJV)
The words you just read in our opening scripture, are God's words to Joshua. I will like you to read from your Bible the first six opening verses of Joshua chapter 1, and you will discover that before God spoke the words in our opening scripture to Joshua, He already gave him a word concerning the great things He was going to do with Joshua.
I will like you to understand that Joshua 1:7-8 was an instruction given to Joshua by God. This instruction was important because, Joshua's success and prosperity in what God has sent him to do was tied to the Word of God, and the instructions contained in it.
Therefore, if Joshua does not observe to do all that God has spoken to Him, he will not be able to enter in and posses the land that the Lord has given to the children of Israel.
Child of God, the Father has spoken to us, that this year is a year of heaven on earth , but you are responsible for how much of heaven you enjoy in your life this year. So, if you want to enjoy the very best that the Father has prepared for you this year, you must be diligent to begin to observe to do all that He has commanded you to do in the Word of God.(Please read Deuteronomy 11:18-21)
Meditate on the Word of God, let it be in your mouth day and night, then you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success. God bless you.

“And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.” 2 Chronicles 13:2-3(KJV)
From our opening scripture, we see that after David was made King over Israel, he gathered the people of Israel, and spoke with them concerning bringing back the ark of God back to Jerusalem, which was taken away during the reign of Saul.
David's plan of bringing the ark of God back to Jerusalem was the right thing to do, because that was what God wanted. But, you will discover as you study that chapter that they did not do it according to the due order that God had revealed to them in the Law of Moses.
The Bible says in 1 Chronicles 13:7, “… they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.” This was where they began to make mistakes, because the ark was not supposed to be driven on a cart, but it was supposed to be carried by the Priest of God alone. In Deuteronomy 10:8, the Bible says, “At that time the LORD separated
the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day”
So, “… when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.” 1 Chronicles 13:9. Uzza died that day before the Lord, because David and the children of Israel did not seek the Lord according to the due order.(See 1 Chronicles 15:13)
God has not changed, so, if you want to do anything for the Lord, follow after the due order revealed in the Word of God, because that is the only way you are going to experience the blessing, and the manifestation of all that He has spoken concerning your life. If you copy the way of the world, and do things the world’s way, you will cut off your divine supply.
