True Christianity

Friday,  September 30th
True Christianity.

“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:”
Colossians 1:26-28

Christianity is not trying to attain, Christianity is an exchange. Christianity is not you trying to become righteous. Christianity is God taking away your sin and making you righteous; it is an exchange. (See 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 2:1-2)

Christianity is not you trying to be rich; it is Christ becoming poor that you through His poverty might become rich. “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Christianity is not trying to be healed, it is acknowledging your health. “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”     1 Peter 2:24.

Christianity is not trying to be victorious, it is living in the victory of Christ by your faith, “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57.

Christianity is not trying to become anything; it is Christ living in you; working in you and through you 24 hours a day everyday of your life. “I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20(AMP) True Christianity is Christ in you.

Confession.
I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Amen.

What His death accomplished

Thursday, September  29th
What His death accomplished.

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.”
Hebrews 2:9

Our opening scripture shows you that Jesus tasted death for every man; that includes you. This means that when Jesus died on the cross, He took your place. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death …” So when Jesus became sin for you on the cross and took your place, He died your death.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Therefore, in Christ you are righteous. He became your sin sacrifice that you might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

If you are in Christ you are righteous. Now that you are righteous, it is important for you to know why He made you righteous. Proverbs 10:2 says, “Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.” Now that you are righteous according to the scripture, death no longer has dominion over you.

Proverbs 12:28(AMP) says, “Life is in the way of righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation), and in its pathway there is no death but immortality (perpetual, eternal life).” The realm of righteousness is the realm of eternal life and immortality.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to Romans 5:17, that I have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, therefore I reign in life by Jesus Christ. I reign over death and I live in the realm of immortality and life. Amen.

Divine immunity

Wednesday, September 28th
Divine immunity.

“Paul gathered a bundle of brushwood and put it on the fire. The heat forced a poisonous snake out of the brushwood. The snake bit Paul's hand and wouldn't let go. When the people who lived on the island saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, "This man must be a murderer! He may have escaped from the sea, but justice won't let him live." Paul shook the snake into the fire and wasn't harmed. The people were waiting for him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. But after they had waited a long time and saw nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.” Acts 28:3-6(GW)

Science tells us that in every seven years all the cells in your body would have been completely replaced. This means that the cells you were born with are no longer in your body. That is the way the natural human life functions. If natural human life can renew itself, what about zoe; the God kind of life? That lets you know that when you receive the life of God, anything that was not working properly in your body will be renewed by the working of that life.

The Apostle John contemplated so much on the life of God, that he was called the Apostle of life.  He was the only Apostle according to history that died a natural death. All the other Apostles were killed or martyred but John could not be killed. When they tried to kill him, they threw him into boiling oil to fry him to death. By the time the oil burnt out, he stood up and continued preaching. There was no harm done to his body. What made it possible? The divine life had permeated his body. Eternal life renews itself.

That same life that was in Apostle Paul that gave him immunity from the bite from a poisonous snake, the same life that was in the Apostle John that made it impossible for him to be killed, that same life is in you today. You are completely immune from all harm by the life of God in you. Amen.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus I declare according to my faith in the Words of Jesus in John 10:28, I have eternal life, therefore I shall never perish neither shall anyone pluck me out of Christ. Amen.

Your divine image.

Tuesday, September  27th
Your divine linage.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”
2 Peter 1:3

God has given us all things that pertain unto zoe; the God kind of life. This means that everything that God has in His nature and every virtue in Him is in you because His life is in you. This means that whatever is revealed through Jesus who is the life of God manifested according to 1 John 1:2 can also be revealed through you.

Just as science lets you know that by reason of your natural birth, you inherited a lot of things from your parents, in the same way by reason of the new birth in Christ when you got born again, all the capabilities of Christ was inherited by you. You do not need to work for it; it is already in you now by reason of the new birth. So, whatever is not in Christ is not in you. Whatever cannot oppress Christ cannot oppress you.

John 1:12-13(AMP) say, “But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]”

Confession.
According to my faith in Jesus Christ, I declare that I am an offspring of God. I am born of God, not of blood, nor of the will of man, nor of the will of the flesh. I am a partaker of the divine nature. Amen.

Christ is my life

Monday, September  26th
Christ is my life.

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
Colossians 1:1-4

From the day you got born again, you are no longer sustained by your natural life. Christ is your life. This means you are no longer sustained just by flesh and blood; you are sustained by the divine life.

I will like you to declare aloud, “Christ is my life.” Now if Christ is your life, whatever Christ contains is in you. Therefore if you want to know what your life is like, look at Jesus.

1 John 4:13-17 say, “Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of  God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” Therefore whatever cannot oppress Christ in heaven, should not oppress you here on earth because as He is, so are you in this world. Praise God.

Confession.
According to my faith in the scriptures I declare that Christ is my life. Therefore I am complete in Him who is the Head of all principalities and power and I am seated together with Him in heavenly places. As He is, so am I in this world. I am the Body of Christ, I carry His fullness. Amen.

He is eternal life.

Sunday,  September  25th
He is eternal life.

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
1 John 5:20

According to our opening scripture, Jesus Christ is revealed to us as the true God and eternal life. Yesterday, we looked at Him as the true God. Today I want us to look at what the scriptures say concerning Him as eternal life.

In John 1:4 the Bible says concerning Jesus Christ who was the Word made flesh, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” Jesus said concerning Himself in John 11:25-26, “…I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

Colossians 3:3-4 speaking concerning the man in Christ say, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” For the Christian Christ is your life. Your life is no longer in your breath; your life is hidden in Christ in God.

This was John's testimony by revelation concerning who Jesus really was; “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:1-3.

Confession.
I believe according to the scriptures that Jesus is the Word of Life. He is eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us. In Him was life and He is the light of men. By my faith in Jesus, I have received eternal life. Therefore I declare that He is my life. My life is hid in Christ in God.

The true God

Saturday,  September  24th
The true God.

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
1 John 5:20

Our opening scripture reveals that Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life. This means that you cannot know the true God without Jesus. He is the revelation of the true God. In John 14:6-7, Jesus Christ said about Himself, “… I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”

Hebrews 1:1-3 says, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”

Philippians 2:6-11(MSG) says, “He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! … an incredibly humbling process. He didn't claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death--and the worst kind of death at that: a crucifixion. Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth--even those long ago dead and buried--will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.”

Confession.
According to my faith in 1 John 5:20, I declare that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the true God and eternal life.

No oppression for you.

Friday, September  23rd
No oppression for you.

“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.”
 Isaiah 54:14

I want you to know according to the Word of God that from the day you got born again, you were far removed from anything that oppresses. Whether it is sickness, devils or human beings, you are far from all oppression.

Notice that our opening scripture says, “…thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear …” This reveals that you can only be oppressed by what you fear. So, if you are oppressed by anything, it is because you fear it. If your village people are oppressing you and you have all the proofs and signs to show for it, it is because you fear their power. You empower what you fear.

People are enslaved by what they fear. Say out loud, “I refuse to fear.” This is God's Word concerning you in Proverbs 3:23-26(MSG), “You'll travel safely, you'll neither tire nor trip. You'll take afternoon naps without a worry, you'll enjoy a good night's sleep. No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday's just around the corner, Because GOD will be right there with you; he'll keep you safe and sound.”

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am never alone. God is with me. Therefore, I travel safely always. In my path there is no death. I am free from all worries whenever I lay my head to rest both during the day and at night. Nothing shall make me afraid because God keeps me safe and sound. Amen.

Have no fear

Thursday, September 22nd
Have no fear.

“GOD spoke strongly to me, grabbed me with both hands and warned me not to go along with this people. He said: "Don't be like this people, always afraid somebody is plotting against them. Don't fear what they fear. Don't take on their worries.”
Isaiah 8:11-12(MSG)

Read the opening scripture again slowly and meditate upon it.

That is God's Word to you today. Do not be like the rest of the people in the world who live in perpetual fear; always suspicious that somebody is plotting something against them. Do not live your life in fears and worries. God is warning you today that they are unnecessary.

Some people are so afraid that they may just have an accident one day. Get rid of that fear. The Bible says in Deuteronomy 28:6-7(AMP), “Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out. The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” These are the Words that should fill your heart and be in your mouth, not your fears because you are not like the rest of the world.

If someone even tries to plot against you as a child of God, the Bible says this concerning them in Isaiah 54:15, “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.” The Good News Bible puts it this way, “Whoever attacks you, does it without my consent; whoever fights against you will fall.” Therefore do not fear or worry about those that are plotting against you, God already shows you their end; they will fall for your sake.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to the Word in Isaiah 54:17, No weapon that is formed against me shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment I condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Speak God's Word

Wednesday, September 21st
Speak God's Word.

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12(AMP)

Don Gossett spoke about a swelling his wife had in her feet and it made her very sick. Then he saw in the Bible Psalm 27:1, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” So, he started confessing this scripture to his wife. As he did she received strength; and the woman that was lying down helplessly stood up and walked eventually without having to take medication.

When you speak the Word of God to your circumstances and challenges, you are speaking life to it. Therefore, no matter how dead the situation or challenge may seem, get a scripture from the Word of God just like what Don Gossett did for his wife, continue speaking it to that dead situation be it in your body, finances, ministry, etc. and it would come alive according to the Word of the Lord.

Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Therefore, whenever you are speaking the Word of God, always remember that you are releasing life.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Therefore I declare that I am strong, the Word of God abides in me, and I have overcome the wicked one. Amen.

Talk right.

Tuesday, September 20th
Talk right.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
 Deuteronomy 30:19

Kenneth Hagin shared a story many years ago of a young man that was sick and dying. He went there to pray for him, but when he laid his hands to pray the Lord spoke to him that the man had set laws in motion that cannot be reversed at that time. In other words, he had been talking about his death so long that at that moment, Kenneth Hagin's prayer cannot heal him. So the man died.

Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” This shows us that the level of increase you experience in your life is traceable to your mouth.

Your delay is not in the hands of devils, it is in your own mouth. Proverbs 13:2(DRB) says, “Of the fruit of his own month shall a man be filled with good things …” Do you know that Abraham could not have a child despite the fact that God wanted him to have a child until God changed his confession? God wants everybody to go to heaven but until you declare Jesus as your Lord with your mouth, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will not be saved. It is with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Your mouth is what determines the direction of your life. Use your mouth right.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to Proverbs 4:18 that my path is the path of the just and it is shinning brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. Amen.

Power over death.

Monday, September 19th
Power over death.

“But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”
2 Timothy 1:10

Our opening scripture shows us that Jesus Christ has abolished death. Therefore, no Christian should be afraid of death.

Hebrews 2:14-15 say, “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” When the Bible says that Jesus destroyed him that had the power of death, it means that through the death of Jesus He brought to nothing, made of no effect, paralyzed, reduced to zero the devil.

Why is it important for you to understand this? It is because you will not lose your fear of death until you realize that the one that has the power of death has been paralyzed. That means that the devil cannot kill you.

The power of death is not under the devil's jurisdiction when it concerns a Christian. No Christian will die unless they first confess it with their mouth. The circumstances surrounding their death notwithstanding. There must be a confession of death privately or publicly from a Christian before they can die. Therefore, when you realize that nothing can kill you without you saying it, then you know how to keep yourself alive.

Confession.
Jesus Christ has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. I believe and I declare that through the death of Jesus, He destroyed him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Therefore I have been delivered from the fear of death. Nothing shall by any means hurt me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word

Go for knowledge

Sunday, September 18th
Go for knowledge.

“They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness …”
Psalm 82:5

Satan's greatest threat is your knowledge of the Word of God. To be ignorant is to be vulnerable. Ignorance is darkness and knowledge is light. If satan is the prince of darkness and ignorance is darkness, it means that satan rules over the ignorant.

Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee …” This means that satan's greatest weapon over you is your ignorance.

According to Hosea 4:6 people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. The word destroyed in the Greek as used in that verse means to fail. This means that every failure is traceable to a lack of knowledge.

Until you understand your redemption and victory in Christ Jesus over satan, you will suffer under the whip lash of satan. Jesus said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 17:17 reveals that the Word of God is truth, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

Therefore according to John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Understanding your liberty in Christ is what guarantees your liberty in life. Galatians 5:1(MSG) says, “Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you grant to me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Stop the fear

Saturday, September 17th
Stop the fear.

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job 3:25

Fear is simply false evidence appearing real. You attract what you fear. Job said what he greatly feared and what he was afraid of is come upon him. So, stop the fear. Also, stop thinking and talking negatively.

What you are confessing is what will happen in your life whether good or bad. Proverbs 18:20-21(AMP) say, “A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].” The Good News Bible puts it this way, “You will have to live with the consequences of everything you say. What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.” The Message Bible says, “Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit--you choose.”

It is only the death you speak forth that will manifest in your life.

Therefore, stop speaking and confessing your fear rather start speaking and confessing your faith in the Word of God. Your present condition is an outward description of your thoughts and your words.

Confession.
In the name of Jesus, I declare according to the Word of God that I shall not die but live to declare forth the works of the Lord. The number of my days I will fulfill. With long life will I be satisfied and I will show forth His salvation.

For further study, read:
Mathew 12:35-37, Psalm 118:17, Psalm 91:14-16.

Doing the Word
Never speak death over anything that concerns you.

What are you thinking?

Friday, September 16th
What are you thinking?

“And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.”
Genesis 20:11

You live within the context of your own thoughts. In other words, what you think is what decides your reality. Proverbs 4:23(GNB) says, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” This is why the renewing of your mind by the Word of God is very important.

Most of the decisions people make is based on perceived reality or assumptions. For instance, a guy is walking home alone at night. As he walks along that dark and lonely road to his house, he sees someone suddenly come out from the bush unexpectedly, immediately he begins to run away because of the person he saw. Why is he running? Every answer given will be based on perceived reality or assumption. He later discovered that the person actually went into the bush to ease himself and he did not mean any evil. This reveals that most of our fears are based on assumptions.

Whenever your heart is not trusting in God and His Word, you will lose your peace. Isaiah 26:3 says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” As long as you fix your heart and trust on God and His Word; which are thoughts of peace, the more peace you will experience in your life and around you because your life is shaped by your thoughts.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you because I know that you will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on you and I trust in you. I am delivered from wicked and unreasonable men and I am preserved from all evil in my going out and coming in now and always in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Thursday, September 15th
Guard your heart.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10

The thief been referred to in our opening scripture is satan. One of the reasons he comes is to steal. So, what does he steal? In the parable of the sower told by Jesus in Mark 4, it is revealed to us that the primary thing that satan is after to steal from you is the seed of the Word of God sown in your heart.

The Bible says in Mark 4:14-15, “The sower soweth the word. And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.” Satan cannot steal your joy or any other good thing you have in Christ until he steals the Word of God in your heart.

Satan steals the Word in your heart because he knows that the Word of God is the source of your joy and every other good thing you have in Christ. In John 15:11 Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” The Word in you is what sustains your joy.

Also, John 1:1-3 lets us know that the Word of God created all things therefore it is the source of all things. Therefore if satan cannot steal the Word of God in your heart, he would not be able to steal your joy or any other thing you have in Christ. “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23 (AMP).

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that you cause my heart to be good ground for your Word always. I ask that your Word will always produce abiding fruit in me whenever I hear it even as I continually make progress and prosper by the Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

The first and last Adam.

Wednesday, September 14th
The first and last Adam.

“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”
1 Corinthians 15:45

Adam the first man was a type of Christ who is referred to as the last Adam in our opening scripture.

In the same vein, when you were born the first time into this world, you were born with the life and nature of the first Adam which is the natural human life. The natural human life is subject to the law of sin and death, so all the propensities and challenges of the first Adam was revealed in you. When you get born again according to the second Adam who is Christ Jesus the life giving Spirit. You received eternal life  the nature of God which is superior to the law of sin and death. Therefore all the propensities and ability of Christ is revealed in you.

With this understanding, it is obvious that every child of God should not suffer what the children of the first Adam suffer. Children of the first Adam can give birth to dysfunctional children because the law of death is at work in them and that law distorts the human DNA. Those of us who are after the last Adam have been recreated in Christ therefore our DNA is upgraded, so when we give birth to children great is their peace, they are taught of the Lord, holy, pure and intelligent. Praise God.

Confession.
In the name of Jesus, I declare that I have been recreated in Christ. I am a new creation; my old previous moral and spiritual condition is passed away. I am walking in the newness of life. I am dead to sin and alive to God through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

Eternal life

Tuesday, September 13th
Eternal life.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
Romans 5:12

When did sin enter into the world? Our opening scripture shows us that sin entered into the world by one man. That man is Adam. So, what did he do? The Bible says in Romans 5:19, “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, …” Adam’s disobedience to God's word brought sin into the world and many were made sinners.

As a result death also entered the world. The Bible says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death …” Sin brought death. So, what is the remedy that delivers us from sin and death? The Bible says in Romans 8:1-2, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

Receiving eternal life into your spirit deals with the sin nature. Remember that sin is spiritual death revealed in conduct. Therefore, when an individual is not born again, he has spiritual death in his spirit because he is separated from God so he sins. Sickness is also spiritual death revealed in the physical body, so, when Adam was separated from God, sickness became possible. It is said that sickness is incipient death. But the moment you receive eternal life it stops the death processes in other words it would stop you from perishing. Eternal life fortifies you with righteousness in conduct and health in your body.

The Bible says in Romans 8:10-11, “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Confession.
There is therefore now no condemnation to me because I am in Christ Jesus, I walk after the Spirit. Therefore the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Amen.

Receive eternal life.

Monday, September 12th
Receive eternal life.

“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:15

The only condition for eternal life is believing in Jesus. Eternal life is a gift from God to all who believe in Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Not believing in Jesus keeps you under the wrath of God. John 3:36 says, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

It is God's will for everyone to believe in Jesus and receive eternal life. “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

1 John 5:11-13 says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Confession.
By my faith in Jesus Christ, I declare that I have received eternal life into my spirit. I have eternal life in me according to the scriptures. Therefore I am preserved from the wrath to come. I shall not perish and I will be raised up at the last day according to the scriptures. Amen.

Greater Love

Sunday, September  11th
Greater love.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:12-13

The greatest proof of love is self sacrifice. You do not truly love anyone until you get to the point where you are willing to die for them. It could be the love of a husband for his wife or the love of a wife for her husband; what determines the depth of their love is how far they are willing to go in sacrificing themselves for each other.

You may have felt worthless because of all the evil you did and all the mistakes you made in the past. I want you to know that Jesus died for every one of us and paid for all our sins as a proof of God's great love for us. That means that in the presence of God we all have equal value because the same price was paid for us all.

Do not think of God's love like the love of a man. Human love is limited and God does not love like men. There are certain things you could do to a human being and they could get to a point where they become fed up with you and they may not be able to tolerate you anymore. But God is not that way; He never gets tired of loving you and He keeps giving you an open door to come back into His embrace.

God Himself gives you an invitation to come to Him in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” That's how much He loves you.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you with all my heart truly appreciating your everlasting love for me. Inspite of all my mistakes and wrong doing, you sent Jesus to die for me; to pay for all my sins. You gave me a new life and a new identity in You. You made me accepted in the Beloved and made me the object of your love always forgiving me from all my short comings. Thank you Father for loving me so dearly. I receive grace to live above all weaknesses, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Why is He merciful?

Saturday, September   10th
Why is He merciful?

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,”
Ephesians 2:4

Do you know why God is merciful to you? The Bible gives you the answer in our opening scripture. God is merciful because of the great love with which He loves you. I will like you to make this declaration aloud, “God loves me with great love.” Say it over and over again until it imparts your spirit.

I want you to realize that God loves you so much, and He was willing to do anything to have you including the death of His only begotten Son whom He loved. That is to let you know how much He loved you and wanted to have you and keep you. When you know that God loves you that much it changes everything in your relationship with Him.

Romans 5:8-10(GNB), “But God has shown us how much he loves us---it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us! By his blood we are now put right with God; how much more, then, will we be saved by him from God's anger! We were  God's enemies, but he made us his friends through the death of his Son. Now that we are God's friends, how much more will we be saved by Christ's life!”

Knowing how much God loves, prizes and values you will cause you to have a better self esteem and deliver you from all forms of self hatred. Immediately you accept His love for you with your heart, you become a friend of God, saved by His life.

Confession.
I declare that I am a friend of God. God loves, prizes and values me. He loves me just like He loves Jesus, and I am saved by Christ's life. Amen.

Know God's Love

Friday, September   9th
Know God's love.

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”
John 3:16(AMP)

Without love life does not make sense. That is why God wants you to know from our opening scripture that He loves you with great love and He prizes you dearly. When you know that God loves you with great love, you will never feel inferior anywhere, anytime and before anyone.

I have been privileged to have grown up in an exposed environment. When I was growing up I was able to meet with the children of the rich and I noticed that many of them had insecurities. At that time one of the boys in my class from a wealthy home committed suicide. To know how rich they were, everything he wore on the day he killed himself was all new. He went shopping; bought new clothes and then went home to kill himself. He had everything a young child will want physically, but he never knew love.

Until you find out how much God loves you, you will feel worthless.

Knowing that God loves you and accepting His love, adds value to your life. When you do not know God's love you will attach your value to material things and positions but God's love shows you that your value is Christ.

Ephesians 3:19(AMP) says, “That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!”

Prayer.
Dear Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask that You grant unto me according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might by Your Spirit in my inner man; That Christ may dwell in my heart by faith; so that I may be rooted and grounded in love, and to know the experiential love of Christ which passes mere human knowledge, and to be filled with all the fullness of God. Amen.

Greater glory

Thursday, September   8th
Greater glory.

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.”
2 Corinthians 3:7-9

According to our opening scripture, if the ministration of death in the Old Testament was glorious how much more shall the ministration of the Spirit in the New Testament exceed in glory. This means that every good thing or the manifestation of glory manifested and experienced by anyone in the Old Testament is the least we should have.

This means that the experience of glory that Moses had in the Old Testament is the least we should have in the New Testament. The Bible says concerning Moses in Deuteronomy 34:7, “And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.” The Message Bible puts it this way, “Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eyesight was sharp; he still walked with a spring in his step.” If Moses eye sight was perfect and he could still walk with a spring in his step in other words he was not feeble at 120 it reveals the least you should enjoy in the New Testament.

When I discovered this many years ago, I made up my mind that as a child of God I will never need to use glasses at anytime of my life even though my parents were already using glasses at that time. Therefore if you live to be 120, because you are under a more glorious testament, your eyesight would still be sharp and you will still be very strong physically.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that as I excel in years so shall I excel in strength. My strength is daily renewed like the eagle’s. My eyes shall not dim and my physical strength shall never by feeble all my days. Amen.

Spirit of life

Wednesday,  September  7th
Spirit of life.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:1-2

When you are born again, the Bible says that the spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes you free from the law of sin and death.

The Bible also says in Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” This shows that the Spirit of life in you slows down the ageing process. When the natural man grows older, he gets weaker because he does not have zoe. That should not be the case for the man in whom the Spirit of life dwells. When the Spirit of life dwells in you, He gives zoe  divine life to your body.

When you understand the power of zoe, sickness will become a strange thing to you. You will become immune to sickness and disease because your mortal body will be quickened by zoe. Sickness is spiritual death at work in the human body, but when you are inundated by the spirit of life, no longer will death work in your body. Hallelujah.

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to Romans 8:11 that the Spirit that raised up Christ from the dead dwells in me, therefore my physical body is vitalized by the spirit of life that dwells in me. Amen.

For further study, read:
John 6:63, 2 Corinthians 3:6, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

Qualified for service.

Tuesday, September  6th
Qualified for service.

“For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my [whole] spirit [rendering priestly and spiritual service] …”
Romans 1:9(AMP)

From our opening scripture it is obvious that we serve God with our spirit. The words of Jesus in John 4:24 states thus, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Until a man is born again, he is dead spiritually and a man who is dead spiritually is not qualified to offer up spiritual service or worship to God. I will like to remind you that on the 1st you learnt that any man that has not received eternal life into His spirit by believing in Jesus is dead spiritually even if he is alive physically. You also learnt that zoe is spiritual life, therefore the absence or separation from zoe is
spiritual death.

How do you receive life into your spirit? Jesus said in John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

You receive eternal life by believing in the Word of God, and the Word of God testifies concerning Jesus.

Therefore, if you are not born again and you are reading this devotional today, the Word of God is coming to you to give you the opportunity to receive the life and nature of God into your spirit so you can pass from death unto life. This is important because until a man is born again, his worship cannot be accepted by God. I encourage you to pray the prayer below:

Prayer of Salvation.
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins. I believe with all my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day for my justification. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my Lord and personal savior. Jesus, come into my heart, make me a new person. I receive eternal life into my spirit even now. Amen.”

More than a body

Monday, September 5th
More than a body.

“Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.”
Job 10:11-12

Our opening scripture clearly shows us again today that the body and the spirit are separate. So it is important you understand that you are more than flesh and blood. You are a spirit being.

James 2:26 says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” The Amplified Bible puts it this way, “For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead.” The Message Bible says, “The very moment you separate body and spirit, you end up with a corpse.…”

The scripture above makes it evident that the spirit animates the body, in other words the spirit gives life to the body. When an individual dies, it is said that he gave up the ghost; that means he allowed the spirit go. The spirit without the body is a ghost and the body without the spirit is a corpse.

In Luke 24:39(MSG) when Jesus was trying to convince his disciples that it was really Him they were seeing after His resurrection and not a ghost, He said to them, “Look at my hands; look at my feet--it's really me. Touch me. Look me over from head to toe. A ghost doesn't have muscle and bone like this."”

It is important you have an understanding of these things so you would have the consciousness that you are a spirit being living in a body. This consciousness is what will begin to help you understand how to live life in the spirit. Romans 8:8-9 say, “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”

Confession.
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I am the temple of the Holy Ghost who lives in me. I have been bought with a price; therefore I glorify God in my body and spirit, which are God's.

Who is man?

Sunday, September 4th
Who is man?

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
 Genesis 2:7

The word formed in our opening scripture is from the Hebrew word 'yatsar' which means to squeeze into shape or to mould into form. So man's body was made from the dust of the ground.

After God made the body, He breathe or blew into his nostrils the breath of life. Life here is from the Hebrew word 'chay' which refers to life that animates. This life breathed into man by God activated the spirit of man, and he became a living soul.

From the above we can conclude that man is a spirit activated by the breath of life which gives life to the body made from the dust of the ground, and man has a soul (the seat of his mind, will and emotions).
I will like to remind you that on the 1st we learnt that physical death is the separation of the spirit and the soul from the body. So the true essence of man is in his spirit. Therefore man is a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 distinguishes them clearly, “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Confession.
I am a spirit, I have a soul and I live in a body. Jesus Christ is Lord over my spirit, soul and body. Jesus Christ is glorified in my spirit, soul and body, and my whole spirit and soul and body is preserved blameless unto the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Christ and your destiny

Saturday, September 3rd
Christ and your destiny.

“Who first saved us and then called us to this holy work. We had nothing to do with it. It was all his idea, a gift prepared for us in Jesus long before we knew anything about it.”
 2 Timothy 1:9(MSG)

Your destiny is hidden in Christ; therefore anyone who lives and dies without receiving Jesus Christ has lived a wasted life. This is because it is only in Christ you can enter into your destiny. He saved you with His life so that you can live for His purpose for your life. The day you got born again was actually the first day you entered into your destiny.

Ephesians 2:10(AMP) says, “For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” The Message Bible puts it this way, “No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.” This shows us that a truly fulfilled life is a life lived for the fulfillment of God's purpose.

Confession.
I declare by my faith that I am God's own handiwork; I am God's workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus. I am born again and empowered to do the good works which God predestined and planned beforehand for me to do. I am taking paths which He prepared ahead of time that I should walk in. I am living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for me to live. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Life in the gospel

Friday, September  2nd
Life in the gospel.

“But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:”
2 Timothy 1:10

The gospel of Jesus Christ reveals to us that death has been abolished. Therefore the gospel is a gospel of life.

The demands of God in the gospel are always equal to His provision. 2 Timothy 1:8 says, “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;” The Good News Bible puts it this way, “Do not be ashamed, then, of witnessing for our Lord; neither be ashamed of me, a prisoner for Christ's sake. Instead, take your part in suffering for the Good News, as God gives you the strength for it.” Whatever God demands from you is what He equips you to do.

Paul said in Romans 1:14-17(GNB), “For I have an obligation to all peoples, to the civilized and to the savage, to the educated and to the ignorant. So then,

I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who live in Rome. I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God's power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles. For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, "The person who is put right with God through faith shall live."” The gospel is God's power to save all who believe because the gospel gives life (Zoe).

Confession.
I declare according to my faith in the gospel that Christ is at work in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Understanding Life

Thursday, September 1st
Understanding life.

“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:15-16

There are two kinds of life. The first is eternal life which is called 'Zoe' in the Greek. Eternal or everlasting life as seen in our opening scripture refers to zoe. Zoe is the God-kind of life. It is life as God has it or the divine nature. Zoe is spiritual life.

There is also another kind of life called human or natural life. 2 Timothy 2:4 says, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; …” This life here refers to 'Bios' in the Greek. It is from 'bios' we get the word biology which is the scientific study of the natural processes of living things.

From the above, if zoe is spiritual life, it means that the absence or separation from zoe is spiritual death. Therefore spiritual death is the absence or separation from God or divine life. To be separated from God is to be separated from His life because God is the source of zoe. On the other hand,

physical death is the separation of the spirit and the soul from the body.

Any man that has not received eternal life into His Spirit by believing in Jesus is dead spiritually even if he is alive physically. And anyone who is dead spiritually is condemned already and the wrath of God abides on him.

John 3:18 says, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Confession.
I release my faith today based on the truth of God's Word that has come to me and I acknowledge that I believe in Jesus Christ with all my heart. I declare with my mouth that He is my Lord and I confess that I have zoe; the life and nature of God in my spirit. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
