WISDOM - Chakam

“Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.”
Genesis 41:33(KJV)

From our opening scripture, Joseph counseled Pharaoh to get a man discreet and wise and set him over the land of Egypt.

The word 'wise' as used in the context of our opening scripture that Joseph was talking about is from the Hebrew word, 'chakam.' It is translated wise, intelligent, skillful,  add ful, cunning, subtle, wiser.

To explain this word further, it refers to being skillful in technical work. So if you are going to do well on your job, this wisdom is what you need.

Chakam also means to be wise in administration. Wisdom in this context means having administrative intelligence. Therefore, if you are managing anything no matter how small, you need wisdom.

Chakam also means to be ethically or religiously wise. From this context, we can define wisdom as ethical intuition. We see this wisdom(ethical intuition) at work in the life of Joseph because of what he did when Pharaoh called for him.

The Bible said in Genesis 41:14, “Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.”

Appearance matters. Notice the two things Joseph did immediately he was brought out of prison. These things was a proof he had ethical intuition at work in him; he shaved himself and changed his clothes. This shows you that wisdom refines you.
