“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15(KJV)
Do you know that wisdom will help you to use knowledge to your advantage? For instance, in the business world, the first person that brought out the tablet was Microsoft, but it didn't sell.
Then another individual called Steve Jobs took his time and brought out the iPad and people wanted it. What gave him an edge over Microsoft? It's wisdom.
Wisdom is the timely act of intelligence. You may be intelligent but you must learn how to use it at the right time. Ecclesiastes 10:10(BBE) “If the iron has no edge, and he does not make it sharp, then he has to put out more strength; but wisdom makes things go well.” In other words, when the iron is blunt, instead of using more strength, wisdom lets you know that it is the right time to sharpen the edge. The King James Version says, “… wisdom is profitable to direct.”
So functioning in wisdom is what will give you cutting edge advantage. This means that success is not in effort. Efforts are good, but if they are not directed intelligently, it will lead to your own frustration.
In Ecclesiastes 10:15, the Bible says, “The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Proverbs 10:21 says, “The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.”
If the labour of the foolish leads to weariness, it therefore means that frustration is traceable to a lack of wisdom. So an individual may be working hard, but he remains frustrated. Why? It is because he does not understand the 'how to' of wisdom. He does not know how to go into the city.
Wisdom will show you how to have cutting edge advantage and minimize your stress thereby eliminating frustration.
