Consecration 2

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16.

You learnt yesterday that everybody that is succeeding in whatever they do had made a no going back committal at one point. That was the committal Esther was making in our opening scripture. She said emphatically, “… if I perish, I perish.” There was no going back. That was what made her the phenomenal Esther we all know. Her destiny was to save God's people from destruction, and she committed to it with her life. Eventually, she succeeded in fulfilling her destiny.

God had scheduled her destiny to deliver Israel at this time but at first she was scared but after she was charged by her foster father Mordecai, she made a no going back committal which made it possible for her destiny to be fulfilled. (See Esther 4:6-16).

When Esther made the commitment to her destiny, her influence expanded. The king said to her, “… "What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you — up to half the kingdom!" Esther 5:3 (NKJV)

I want you to know today that there is a call on your life. As you commit to that call with all your life just like Esther, your influence will certainly be expanded.

Just like Esther, God said to me, “You are unqualified to lead a people you are unwilling to die for.” Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” John 10:11 (NKJV). You will never fulfill your destiny until you are willing to die for it.

Instruction
Make a fresh commitment to the dream and vision that God has put in your heart; pledging to do whatever it takes to bring it to pass.
