Increase In Wisdom 1.

“If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.”
Ecclesiastes 10:10.

Another thing you need to do if you want to increase your competence is to increase in wisdom. According to our opening scripture, wisdom is profitable to direct.

What is wisdom? It is the ability to use knowledge effectively. So if you have wisdom, you can make use of knowledge. A lot of people have knowledge but they have little wisdom so they are not as effective as they should be.

Doing the right thing at the wrong time is proof of a lack of wisdom because wisdom is doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons with the right persons.

There are various ways we increase in wisdom. Number one, through prayer. You can ask God for wisdom. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

In Ephesians 1:17, Paul asked God to give the Ephesian church wisdom, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:” Therefore, having knowledge, you need wisdom to be able to effectively use knowledge.

Instruction.
Read 1 Kings 3:9, Genesis 41:38-40, Proverbs 8:15-16 and ask God to give you a wise and understanding heart to lead effectively and bring you to the top wherever you work.
