Leadership

“Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” Acts 6:3.

In this month’s devotional you are going to be learning on leadership. This is important because you can never achieve anything great unless you know how to effectively work with people and through people.

All great enterprises in the world or on the earth  are led by people who have effective leadership skills. John D. Rockefeller said that one of the keys of success is learning how to do common things uncommonly. He also said he will do anything to learn how to work with people and through people.

People skill is very vital. We are all leaders in different capacities that is why you need to develop your leadership skills. For instance, do you know that the company McDonalds never grew beyond a particular level until a man called Ray Kroc, who had great leadership skills came into the company. Through his leadership skills, McDonalds have been able to spread around the world.
A leader is a lid. You will never rise above the leadership capacity you sit under. This is why leaders must keep on developing themselves. Under Saul’s reign as king of Israel, the kingdom never took new territories because he was a selfish leader; that was why in all Saul's battles, there was a compromise of God's instruction. On the contrary, under the reign of David as king of Israel, the kingdom extended and even took Jerusalem.

Therefore one thing you must develop as a Christian is your leadership ability because everything rises and falls on leadership. Your impact will never be greater than your leadership ability. So, I encourage you to take the leadership principles you will be learning in this devotional seriously this month because if you have effective leadership skills, you are bound to succeed.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You teach me to number my days, that I may apply my heart unto wisdom, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word
Try to make a regimen for your self-development this month. One of it should be to read a leadership book for thirty minutes every day.
