“And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.”
2 Chronicles 9:1-2(KJV)
From our opening scripture, we see that wisdom is insightful intelligence. This is because when the Queen of Sheba was coming to Solomon, she was coming to ask him hard questions. When you check that in the Hebrew, the Bible is talking about proverbs and riddles.
That means that when the Queen of Sheba came to Solomon she came to test his wisdom to see if he will be able to tell the meanings of those hard proverbs and riddles. But when she came to Solomon, the Bible records that “… Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.”
That was wisdom working. It gave Solomon insightful intelligence. And that is the way God wants you to be.
The Bible tells us in Mark 12:13(GNB), “Some Pharisees and some members of Herod's party were sent to Jesus to trap him with questions.” But they could not. Luke 20:20(GNB) puts it this way, “So they looked for an opportunity. They bribed some men to pretend they were sincere, and they sent them to trap Jesus with questions, so that they could hand him over to the authority and power of the Roman Governor.” Then the Bible says in Luke 20:26(GNB), “There before the people they could not catch him in a thing, so they kept quiet, amazed at his answer.” And then after they tried and still could not fault the wisdom of Jesus, the Bible says in Luke 20:40(GNB), “…they did not dare ask him any more questions.”
