“…they had first given themselves unreservedly to God…”
2 Corinthians 8:5(MSG)
Our opening scripture explains further to us how we ought to give ourselves completely and absolutely to God, following the example of the Macedonian church.
When you give yourself to God like this, there will be nothing that you have that will be too big for you to give to God, in worship to Him.
One time in a service, I was making some declarations over God's people as led by God's Spirit. As I did, one of our members in the congregation was prompted in his spirit at that point to give his shoes which was very expensive, and immediately, he came out to give it on the altar in obedience as a committed worshiper. As a result, favour broke out in his life, and that young man who sells shoes, even though he had no shop at that time, was able to buy a new car within a year.
Child of God, God is no respecter of persons, this is why the Bible says in Isaiah 1:19, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” It is your obedience and unreserved committal to God that will determine the level of abundance you will enjoy. God may have spoken to someone else in that service to give his shoes, but he hesitates. The person who hesitates and the one who responds promptly cannot get the same results in their lives.
Therefore, whatsoever God says to you today, do it promptly.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for grace to be a prompt doer of your Word and your instructions to me in Jesus Name. Amen
