"Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; …"
Hebrews 12:15
Grace is always available but there are certain things that can activate the grace of God and there are certain things that can stop the grace of God from working in your life. Our opening scripture shows us that someone can fail of the grace of God. The word 'fail of' in our opening scripture means 'to fall from'. Showing us that it is possible to fall from the grace of God.
This shows that not everyone is accessing great grace. Many people live their lives devoid of grace, while some others are experiencing favour upon favour. This is why you have to expose yourself to these teachings because they will help you grow in knowledge as you can only receive what you know.
Knowledge is so important because it is when you know something that you can have access into it and begin to enjoy its benefit in your life. What you don't know cannot benefit you or add any value to your life.
For instance, electricity has been available since God made man, but until it was discovered, man could not have access into it to enjoy it. This shows us that discovery is the key to access. We had crude oil in Africa for generations, but no black man knew that there was crude oil. But when it was discovered, we began to have access to it.
What discoveries have you made from the Word of God about who you are in Christ and the potentials and abilities that are deposited in you as a new creation? Until you have such knowledge, the victorious life full of grace and peace will continue to elude you. In John 5:39, Jesus said, "Search the scriptures ..." In 2 Timothy 2:15 Paul said, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, ..." Therefore, if you are going to walk in great grace, you must go for more knowledge of the Word of God.
Instruction.
Read Psalm 119:18; and let it be your prayer to God today.
For further study read:
Psalm 1:1-3, Job 23:12, Job 22:22-30.
