Monday, July 3rd. Accessing Your Inheritance 2. “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17 Yesterday you learnt that for you to access your inheritance in Christ you must be born again and you must receive the Holy Spirit. Today I want to take you further in this by letting you know that one other way you can access your inheritance in Christ is by knowing the truth. What is truth? Truth is the Word of God according to our opening scripture. In Acts 20:32 Paul says, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” This shows you that you can access your inheritance through the Word of God. Also, to access your inheritance in Christ you would have to confess and affirm what belongs to you. This is important because whenever God shows you something, He wants you to speak it. If you see from the Word of God that you are a child of God, you ought to declare that you are a child of God. If you see from the Word of God that you are rich, declare that you are rich. Doing that is speaking in agreement with what God has said and affirming His Word over your life. Affirmation is vital to the manifestation of a promise. “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” 1 Corinthians 2:12-13. Confession. In the Name of Jesus, I declare according to the Word of God that I am strong, the Word of God abides in me and I have overcome the wicked one. Amen. For further study, read: 2 Corinthians 4:13, 2 Corinthians 3:12, 2 Peter 1:19-21. Doing the Word. Whatever you see in the Word of God about yourself make it your declaration.
