Thursday, July 6th. Heirs Of The Spirit. “This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.” Acts 2:32-33 The Holy Spirit is part of our inheritance in Christ. So, every child of God can receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not just for Pastors alone, He is for every child of God. Acts 2:38-39 says, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39 You receive the Holy Spirit through faith. Therefore, if you have not yet received the Holy Spirit, all you need to do is to pray saying, “Father, in the Name of Jesus by my faith I now receive the Holy Spirit and ability to pray in other tongues even as the Spirit gives me utterance.” Now that you prayed that prayer pay attention for that urge in your spirit; as you begin to sense that utterance has been given to you, just go ahead by faith and begin to speak in other tongues. Instruction. Take out time to worship the Lord by singing songs of worship to His Name. For further study, read: Acts 2:16-18, Acts 19:1-7, Galatians 3:13-14. Doing the Word. Edify yourself in the Spirit; praying in tongues.
