Don't borrow

“The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
Proverbs 22:7(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us that the rich would always have dominion over the poor and the borrower is slave to the lender. Don't borrow. This is because every time you borrow, you are saying you will be a slave to whoever you borrow from.

Do you know that borrowing can be traceable to impatience? This is because when you borrow you want to enjoy today what you should enjoy tomorrow. You want to have today, what you can have tomorrow. So borrowing is using tomorrow's potential today. Therefore when you borrow you end up spending your unearned income before it came. That is not wise.

Child of God do not borrow or buy things on credit, it is one of the laws of uncommon prosperity. Don't borrow to buy clothes or to buy a car so that you can look prosperous, it is not wise. The Bible says in Proverbs 13:11, “Wealth [not earned but] won in haste or unjustly or from the production of things for vain or detrimental use [such riches] will dwindle away, but he who gathers little by little will increase [his riches].”

For instance, some people buy things on credit and before they are able to pay, the thing that they bought is already old, so they are paying for something that has no value to them anymore because they were impatient.

Therefore Romans 13:8a says, “Owe no man any thing, …” The Amplified version says, “Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, …” This is financial wisdom, I encourage you to live by it.

INSTRUCTION
If you are owing, make out a plan today on how you are going to pay your debts.

DOING THE WORD
Follow the discipline of contentment within your means. It is better to work and get paid in cash or kind than to borrow.

Train up your child

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6(KJV)

The word train in our opening scripture means to narrow the child. This means that training is aimed at giving you a focus. To train up a child also means to discipline a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I encourage you if you are a parent reading this today to take your children and your teenagers seriously. The reason is because you have to narrow them in the way they should think, the way they should talk, and the way they should act, because if you should get it right with them as children, you will not struggle with them as adults.

Personally, my parents didn't need to start advising me not to carry women because I had already being trained in the way I should go. So, the way the lives of your children will turn out to be as adults starts when they are still children. What quality of training are you giving to them now? What are you exposing them to? Are you exposing them to the wrong kind of movies and music? It is amazing to know today that some parents are not even concerned about what their children are exposed to on television and on the internet. If you don't narrow their focus today in the way they should go, you may start trying to repair them later, after they have departed from the right way.

I encourage you to train your children and narrow their focus both by teaching and by example. Whatever you do not want to see in your child, do not practice as a parent. Don’t tell them, don't watch this and then they see you watching it. Don't tell them, don't do this, but then they see you doing the same things you told them not to do. Don't even hide to do the wrong thing as a parent, because what you fail to deal with or overcome in your life, you will fight in your children. Think about it.

INSTRUCTION
Make intercession for children today that they will stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for their lives, and that the fear of God will be established in their hearts from an early age.

Your self perception

“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
Revelation 1:6(KJV)

During the French revolution in the 1700, they killed the king and his wife, but they captured his young son alive. They didn't want to kill him because they felt he was innocent and if they killed him, he will go to heaven, so they decided to give him to a witch to teach him how to curse, then they will kill him so he could go to hell because they hated his father. While the witch tried to teach the young prince how to curse, he refused to curse and said to the witch, I am a prince, we don't talk that way.

What is your self perception? Do you know you are a prince and a king unto God? The Bible says in Revelation 5:10, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” You were born to reign in this life as a child of God. The Bible also says in 1 Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

I encourage you to stop seeing yourself and talking about yourself contrary to who the Word of God says you are. The Word of God says you are royalty, the Word of God says you are holy, the Word of God says you are special, the Word of God says your life is for praise, and the Word of God says you have been called out of darkness, so you are not in darkness as a child of God, you are light in the Lord. Therefore I encourage you to see yourself in this light and walk in it because this is your true identity, do not accept anything less.

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar person, to show forth the praises of Him who has called me out of darkness into His marvelous light.

How much do you know

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: …” Hosea 4:6(KJV)

The word destroyed in our opening scripture is from the Hebrew word 'damah,' it means to perish, to destroy, to fail, to be brought to nothing, to be made dumb, to be brought to silence, etc. Therefore with the understanding of the word destroy, it means that God is saying here that my people fail because of a lack of knowledge, they are brought to nothing because of a lack of knowledge.

I want you to know that you are not where you are today because of the village you came from. Neither are you where you are today because of the family you came from, but you are actually where you are today because of your knowledge. It  is your knowledge that has brought you to where you are and if you are going to move from where you are to a better and higher place, you would have to get a superior knowledge than what you have right now.

God is saying in our opening scripture that my people are failing because they are unaware. This means that your knowledge is what determines the quality of your life, it determines if you will succeed or fail. Always remember that your knowledge can be your lid in life or your knowledge can give you an edge or an advantage in life. Therefore I encourage you to get the right knowledge that can help you to make the quality of progress you desire.

Always give your best

“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, …”
John 12:3(KJV)

Our opening scripture stresses the value of the pond of ointment of spikenard Mary brought to anoint Jesus, the Bible says it was very costly. That is very important for us to take note of. This meant that she did not bring her left over to give to Jesus, instead she brought her very best.

Don't give God your left over. Your left overs are not for God. It is not a sacrifice when you bring something you don't need anymore or something you want to get rid of and then you bring it to the altar as a sacrifice to God, it is not acceptable.

Mary brought something very costly, “and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.” The Bible says in Matthew 26:8 that, “…when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?” They called giving to Jesus a waste, because they didn't understand that what Mary was doing that day was going to set her up to receive an eternal memorial from that singular act of obedience to give her best to Jesus.

Then Jesus said in Matthew 26:13, “Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.” That was what she got as a result of giving Jesus her best.

PRAYER
Dear Father I receive grace right now to always be a prompt to do it giver whenever you lay it upon my heart to give.

Partner with the gospel

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
Psalm 35:27(KJV)

Today, I want to encourage you to favour God's righteous cause by getting involved with partnering with the gospel. For instance, one of the ways you can partner with the gospel is by getting involved with the free distribution of A Word In Due Season. This is because not everybody can buy a devotional, but when you give so that it can go out for free you are fulfilling scripture because we have been called to preach the gospel to the poor. (See Luke 4:18) So through your partnership, you are making the gospel affordable to everyone.

Notice the Bible says in our opening scripture that God takes pleasure in the prosperity of the man that favours His righteous cause. This is why I am encouraging you to be actively involved in seeing that the gospel of Jesus Christ spreads rapidly. I encourage you to give your money, your time, your ideas, and your resources to facilitate the spread of the message of this new life in Christ that God has given us to propagate, through every available means. When you partner with the gospel in this way consistently, you are practicing one of the secrets for uncommon prosperity. God bless you.

INSTRUCTION
If you are not a partner with the gospel, prayerfully make a decision on the arm of ministry you would start partnering with consistently.

Consider the poor

“Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.”
Psalm 41:1-2(KJV)

Do you know that when you give to someone in need or you give to the poor it keeps you in health? Your reaction to the needy can also determine God's reaction to your health. The Bible says in our opening scripture, “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.” Why are some people never delivered in time of trouble? One of the reasons is because of their attitude to the poor.

When the Lord causes you to notice those who are in need within the church, are you moved to do anything to help them? Don't take it lightly and don't trivialize it when God moves upon your heart to do something to help a fellow brother or sister in Christ who is in need. It is one of the secrets of uncommon prosperity. When you live in that way, the Bible says, “The LORD will preserve you, and keep you alive; and you shall be blessed upon the earth: and you will not be delivered unto the will of your enemies.” Think about it.

You cannot die prematurely when you practice such a lifestyle. God will keep you alive because He needs you to sustain the poor and the orphans. At the same time you shall be blessed upon the earth, in other words you shall be empowered to prosper more and more, and God will not deliver you to the will of your enemies, in other words, witchcraft will not be able to work against you. This is the heritage of those who are doers of this truth, so I encourage you to go and do likewise.

INSTRUCTION
Be always willing to help those around you in any way you can.

Live consistently

“…turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:7(KJV)

When you learn to function consistently in the light of God's Word, you will prosper wherever you are and wherever you go. My life as a minster of the gospel is a testimony of this truth because I prospered when I was in Benin City, the city where our church started from. We were on radio once a week and the church was growing till we began to have two services.

When the Lord told me to come to Bayelsa State I obeyed and I came down to Bayelsa willingly leaving behind a four bedroom apartment where I stayed as a single Pastor at that time, I left all my belongings in the house which was later distributed to others. I left all these and the success and influence the church was beginning to have at that time in Benin City in obedience to come to Bayelsa where I was coming to start from the scratch in the latter part of 2005.

Now having obeyed the voice of the Lord and having remained consistent to the light of God's Word, I have also prospered in this city. I now have more than all I left behind in Benin City. We now have more members in our church, we are on several radio stations and television stations everyday. We are reaching the nations of the world on the internet through our website and blogspot that is been visited by people from China, Russia, America, as well as other nations of the world, we also have a daily devotional which you are holding in your hands right now. I live in a bigger house, I am married, I have lovely children and many other beautiful things that God has blessed me with in such a short time.

What produced all these? Knowledge. I knew the law of consistency would make me prosperous wherever I go. That can also be your testimony if only you will learn to function consistently in the light of God's Word.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for you will always cause me to prosper wherever I go even as I receive grace to always follow your instructions and to do your will willingly always in Jesus Name. Amen.

Be consistent 3

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
Proverbs 22:29(KJV)

The Bible shows us that if you are consistent and diligent you will indeed stand before kings and not before mean men; otherwise known as area boys in local parlance. If you are a business person reading this today, the question I will like to ask you is this, are you consistent in your business? Or you are unpredictable.

For instance I have been to places to buy something and you hear them saying that the person who was supposed to have sold that particular thing had just left. He lost that opportunity because he lacked consistency. Be consistent because you don't know when your biggest customer is going to come. Will you be there?

Many people lose what God had ordained to come to them to others because they did not learn the value of consistency and diligence. The Bible says in Proverbs 10:4, “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” Proverbs 12:24 says, “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.” I encourage you to choose the path of consistency and diligence.

INSTRUCTION
Prayerfully write out the things you must do everyday in other to become a standard in what you do.

For further study read:

Be consistent 2

“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:7(KJV)

I heard a story of a man named Steve Scott, he was always failing on his job until he met a dear man of God who counseled him saying that if he would read the book of Proverbs everyday, reading a chapter everyday for five years, he will be a millionaire. So he choose to begin reading the book of Proverbs. As he read it consistently everyday for two years, he was worth four million dollars.

Notice that the Man of God said five years, but as the young man began doing it and reading a chapter in the book of Proverbs everyday, he was worth four million dollars in two years because of consistency. Today Steve Scott is one of the wealthiest Christians in the world, and the company that he used to work for before he lost his job has become one of their major contractors.

Success and prosperity is the reward for habitual discipline. Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” I encourage you to go and do likewise.

PRAYER
Dear Father I believe I receive grace today for diligence and consistency in the Word of God in Jesus Name. Amen.

For further study read:
Deuteronomy 28:1, Hebrews 11:6, Isaiah 59:21

DOING THE WORD
Consciously meditate on the Word of God day and night, and you can also start reading a chapter in the book of Proverbs daily if you haven't started.

Be consistent 1

“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:7(KJV)

The Bible in our opening scripture begins to show us some of the conditions for Biblical prosperity. One of the principles we see here is consistency. You have to have a consistency in the Word of God, this means that if you are unstable you cannot have permanent prosperity. This was why Jacob said to his first son Reuben in Genesis 49:4, “Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel…”

Many people are not consistent in the Word, neither are they consistent in the things of God. They are not consistent in study and in hearing the Word of God, they are not consistent in confessing and speaking in line with the Word of God, they are not consistent in services and meetings in the house of God, they are not consistent in their offerings, tithes and first fruits.  There are so many inconsistencies that can be found in their lives because they do not know that these inconsistencies will end up limiting them in their prosperity. This explains why they experience the kind of prosperity that vacillates. Today they are up, and tomorrow they are down.

Therefore if you want to experience permanent prosperity according to the Word of God, there must be consistency in your walk with God.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you strengthen me to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

Don't envy the wicked

“Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.”
 Psalm 73:13(KJV)

The Psalmist in our opening scripture laments because of his sincerity to God after he had compared himself with unbelievers who seemed to be doing well and prosperous. He felt God had not rewarded him right for living in sincerity and purity.

Do you know that there are Christians like that today who compare themselves with unbelievers and feel like God had not treated them fair enough? This was the ordeal of the Psalmist here. The Psalmist said in Psalm 73:2-3(GW), “But my feet had almost stumbled. They had almost slipped because I was envious of arrogant people when I saw the prosperity that wicked people enjoy.”

Child of God do not make the mistake of comparing yourself with unbelievers because you are not working the same principles with them. The Bible shows us their way in Psalm 73:8, “They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.” You can't walk in the same way as a child of God. The Bible reveals to us the end of these wicked men who may seem to be prosperous and rich today without God.

The Bible says in Psalm 73:17-20(GNB), “until I went into your Temple. Then I understood what will happen to the wicked. You will put them in slippery places and make them fall to destruction! They are instantly destroyed; they go down to a horrible end. They are like a dream that goes away in the morning; when you rouse yourself, O Lord, they disappear.” This is the end of the wicked. Don't envy them because they are on their way to swift destruction, but you are on your way to uncommon prosperity therefore maintain your sincerity to God.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for revealing to me the end of the wicked. I ask that you strengthen me with might by your Spirit in my inward man to remain steadfast to you and the principles of prosperity always in Jesus Name. Amen.

Reverence God 2

“O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.”
Psalm 34:9(KJV)

I heard a dear minister of God speak concerning his passion and reverence for the Lord. This minister said he had made up his mind to be the biggest offering giver in his church. When I heard that, I was stirred to begin to practice the same thing, and by the grace of God I have been going higher and higher in every way.

Why do I give the way I do? It is because of my high regard for God. Therefore what I will not give to my fellow man I will not give to God. David in 2 Samuel 24:24 had to offer a sacrifice to the Lord and Araunah the Jebusite offered to give David the king all he needed to offer the sacrifice as a free gift but David revealing his reverential fear and regard for God said to Araunah, “…Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.”

David refused to offer to God that which cost him nothing. What about you? Do you offer to God that which cost you nothing? Some Christians who do not understand what it means to hold God in high regard will come to church and give Him their change, not because that is all they have, but because they do not know that their offering is part of the expression of their worship and value to God.

INSTRUCTION
Start expressing increased reverence for God specially in your giving. As you learn to give at the highest point in your level, God will surely increase you more and more.

Reverence God 1

“The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”
Proverbs 19:23(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us a very important virtue we ought to cultivate in our lives. This virtue is the fear of God. Having the fear of God refers to having reverence for God. To have reverence for God is to hold him in high regard. Do you hold God highly in reverential fear and honour?

The Bible says in Proverbs 19:23, “The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.” This means that the regard that you have for God can minimize the problems in your life, this is because you shall not be visited with evil. Therefore having reverence for God and the things of God can minimize your spiritual warfare.

Unconsciously do you know that many persons physically show more regard for political public officers and their bosses than they physically express towards God? For instance if you were invited for an appointment with the President of the federal republic of Nigeria at 7am tomorrow, you will be there before 7am. Yet the same person who would not go late for a meeting with the President or go late to work doesn't mind going late for a service because he doesn't regard that service as an appointment with God.

Child of God reverence for God and the things of God is a virtue you must continue to cultivate more and more in your life because as you do you shall abide satisfied and you shall not be visited with evil.

INSTRUCTION
With what you've read today I encourage you to reflect on your life and step up your reverence for God.

For further study read:
Psalm 34:9-11, Proverbs 10:27, Proverbs 14:26-27.

DOING THE WORD
Physically express your reverence for God always.

Partner with God

“Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.”
2 Chronicles 26:1(KJV)

Today I will like to show you a principle that will help you in your journey of prosperity. Our opening scripture today tells us about Uzziah who became king as a teenager of sixteen years old. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 26:3 that, “Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem.” What made it possible for him to reign for such a long time in Jerusalem even though he began his reign as a teenager? The answer to that is found in 2 Chronicles 26:5, “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.”

The Bible lets us know that God made Uzziah to prosper in his reign because he sought the Lord. In other words, as long as he followed the way of wisdom, knowledge and instruction from God, God made him to prosper. So because his priority was in following the Lord, God helped him to take territories and caused his name to spread. (See 2 Chronicles 26:6-8)

Child of God, I encourage you to partner with God, make doing His will your priority, and as you do, He will help you to prosper in the works of your hands and He will cause your name to spread by giving you supernatural influence.

How did David get a great name? It was because he sought to do what no man had ever thought of doing for the Lord; he wanted to build God a house, because of that God told David he would build him a house, and his throne will be established for evermore (See 2 Samuel 7:1-16)

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for you are at work in me both to will and to do of your good pleasure always in Jesus Name. Amen.

1 Chronicles 22:13-14, 1 Chronicles 29:1-9,
2 Chronicles 31:20-21.

DOING THE WORD

Do you want to be rich?

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.” Matthew 6:31-32(KJV)

Today I will like to ask you a question, why do you want to be rich and prosperous? I wonder what your sincere answer to that question really is. Our opening scripture exposes to us what the Gentiles or unbelievers seek after, the reason why they want to be rich and prosperous is because of what they want to eat, what they want to drink and what they want to wear. The main objective of their prosperity is meeting their needs, pleasure and making a name for themselves; whether in the arts, science or in amassing material possession. Their focus is never for expanding the kingdom of God, such prosperity leads to their destruction. (See Luke 12:15-21)

The main priority you should have as a child of God as the reason why you want to be rich and prosperous should be for the expansion of the kingdom of God. Do not become so engaged by the things of this world that you forget the main reason why we are here. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When you make the kingdom of God your priority, you will of necessity have what to eat, drink and wear in abundance and He will also prosper the work of your hands.

INSTRUCTION
Today just like the Macedonian church in 2 Corinthians 8, I encourage you to first rededicate yourself to God and then commit yourself to the gospel in consistent partnership in prayer, giving financially and participation in kingdom expansion.

Who is a fool?

“For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.” Proverbs 1:32(KJV)

Our opening scripture tells us that the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. Who is a fool according to the Bible? A fool is first of all a person who have refused to acknowledge God. The Bible says in Psalm 53:1, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God…”

Another definition of a fool is found in Proverbs 1:22 where the Bible says that, “…fools hate knowledge?” So a fool is someone who despises knowledge. The Bible also shows us in Proverbs 1:7 that, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

I want you to know that the fact that you have been reading this devotional means that you do not despise knowledge and wisdom, that means you are not a fool. A fool will not crave such knowledge, neither will they acknowledge God, but you do.

Therefore I encourage you to continue in the way of wisdom, the way of wisdom is in practicing the Word of God by doing what the Word of God says concerning every area of your life and the principles you have been learning in this month's devotional on prosperity, as you do it will lengthen your days and give you riches and honour. (See Proverbs 3:16)

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask that you give unto me the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding in Jesus Name. Amen.

The purpose of prosperity

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
Genesis 12:2-3(KJV)

From our opening scripture we see that there was a purpose for the blessing that was upon Abraham. God blessed him for a definite purpose by giving him a global vision, and that vision was for him to be a blessing to all the families of the earth.

There is a reason why God has blessed you. There is a reason why God wants you to prosper. That reason is the purpose for prosperity. The purpose for prosperity is not just for you to be able to eat and spend money satisfying your own selfish desires alone. The purpose of prosperity is much more than that.

The Bible shows us the purpose of our prosperity when God spoke to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 8:8 saying, “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

So the purpose of prosperity is to establish His covenant. That means that the focus of your prosperity should be the kingdom of God. Why is it important for you to know this? It is because if the kingdom is not the focus of your prosperity as a child of God, your money will eventually destroy you. (See Proverbs 1:32)

Therefore no matter where you are in your journey of prosperity, get addicted to kingdom expansion and God will see to it that you increase more and more because He knows that your prosperity will establish His covenant.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for showing me the purpose for my prosperity. I ask that as I addict myself to kingdom expansion may I experience continual increase in my journey of prosperity in Jesus Name. Amen.

Go for knowledge 2

“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”
Acts 20:32(KJV)

Our opening shows you that it is the Word of God that will give you your inheritance. This means that without the Word of God, you would not be able to take a hold of your inheritance.

I heard the story of a Pastor whose church was not growing, so he took out some time to go and study his Bible. As he studied, God showed him the secret of the multitude dimension of ministry. As he applied those principles God showed him, his church began to grow indeed to multitude dimensions. The church has grown to the point that sometimes in their services, they have up to twenty thousand people as first timers. Where did he get the knowledge that led to such growth? He located the knowledge for church growth from inside the Bible.

Child of God no matter what you do, I encourage you to go for knowledge of the Word of God. In  John 5:39 Jesus said, “Search the scriptures …” Paul said to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

Initially we saw from Acts 20:32 that the Word of God will give you an inheritance, and now we see again in 2 Timothy 3:17 that the Word of God is able to furnish you, thereby giving you all the supplies you need for all good works. Praise God.

PRAYER
Dear Father I ask for a release of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you towards me today in Jesus Name. Amen.

Go for Knowledge 1

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that there are things that God has made ready for those who love Him. I want you to notice that even though these things are already prepared, the Bible says no eye had seen it, no ear had heard it and it had not entered into any man's heart because it was not revealed to them, but 1 Corinthians 2:10 says, “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

Child of God the things that God has prepared for you are not obvious to the natural man, they are revealed to you by the Spirit of God. Therefore it is your revelation that determines the quality of your life. Your revelation is your possession, that is why I made up my mind to study the Word of God so that I can know what God has made available to me, because my knowledge is what will determine the quality of my existence.

1 Corinthians 2:12 says, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” It is only through your knowledge of the Word of God that you become aware of the things that are freely given to us of God.

For instance here in Nigeria, many Nigerians are unaware that the there was a time the federal government was giving money to entrepreneurs as grants from the federal government. Someone I know received over six million naira from the scheme. All they needed was for you to present your business plan in its different phases and you will get your money, yet most Nigerian entrepreneurs did not access it because they did not know about it, so it becomes obvious from this as well, that your knowledge is what decides the quality of your life.

PRAYER
Dear Father teach me to number my days that I may apply my heart to wisdom in Jesus Name. Amen.

The Knowledge of wisdom 2

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32(KJV)

Child of God I want you to know today that your lid in life is your knowledge. Secondly, it is important you understand that you can only take possession of what you know. In other words, you cannot take possession of what you don't know is yours and begin to enjoy it. It is from the moment you know it is yours you can confidently take possession of it and begin to enjoy it.

Do you know that faith is based on knowledge? You cannot express your faith beyond your level of knowledge. Do you know what is yours as a child of God? The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:21-22, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;” There is no limit to what you can have as a child of God. Do you believe this?

On Thursday September 4th, I shared with you the story of a Pastor who suffered lack until he found the knowledge of wisdom concerning his prosperity in Luke 12:32. Immediately he found it and believed it, that very hour God spoke to a member of his church to sow into his life. According to him, before this time none of his members had ever given anything to him. But the very moment he found the knowledge of wisdom, God spoke to one of his members to sow into his life. That same day after their evening service, that member called him aside, told him what God said he should give to him, then he took the Pastor to his house and gave him more things. That night marked the beginning of increase for that Pastor and his family.

This is the time for you to put your faith to work for your own increase.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because I know that you shall supply all my needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. All things are mine in Jesus Name. Amen.

The Knowledge of wisdom 1

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
 Luke 12:32(KJV)

Our opening scripture shows us that God likes to bless His children. Do you know that God likes to bless you? As simple as that question seems to be, there are many who do not know that God takes pleasure in doing them good. This is why satan takes advantage of them because satan always takes advantage of the ignorant.

God said in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge …” Child of God it is time for you to come out of every ignorance that pertains to your prosperity. That is why I am bringing you this knowledge so that you can embrace God's mind concerning your prosperity and well being.

The Bible says in Proverbs 24:14, “So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.” This reveals to us why prosperity continues to elude some persons, it is because they do not have the knowledge of wisdom. This is because if you find the knowledge of wisdom, then there shall be a reward. There is a reward you enjoy because of the knowledge of wisdom which can only be found in the Word of God. The knowledge of wisdom will surely bring to you that which you long for or expect, it does not fail.

Therefore I encourage you to take a hold of the knowledge of wisdom concerning your prosperity in these teachings, because if you can make it yours, then it will surely reward you with true riches and your expectation shall not be cut off.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because your Word is producing in my life what it talks about even as I take a hold of the knowledge of wisdom concerning my prosperity in Jesus Name. Amen.

The focus of God's love

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 1:2(KJV)

Our opening scripture today shows you that you are the beloved. God calls you His beloved. Now, who is the beloved? The word beloved is from the Greek word 'agapetos' which refers to someone who is the focus of God's love. Please make this declaration out loud, say, “I am the focus of God's love.”

In Jeremiah 31:3 God said, “… Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Notice God didn't say, I will love you depicting future tense, but God said, “… Yea, I have loved thee …” depicting past tense. In other words, God already loves you and He loves you with an everlasting love.

John the Apostle in expressing the mind of the Father towards us said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” The word prosper in that verse also means to 'have help on the journey of life, to make progress, to succeed in business affairs, to advance, to increase.'

This means that God has already planned that the journey of life for you will not be a struggle.

This means that God has planned that in your life, you are going to make progress, you are going to succeed in business affairs, you will make advancement and you will increase. God also planned for you to prosper in your health which is physical prosperity and in your soul referring to spiritual prosperity. So God has planned for you to prosper in all realms of life; spiritually, physically and materially because you are the focus of His love.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for making me the focus of your everlasting love, I thank you for causing me to succeed and prosper in all realms of life. By your grace I am making advancement in my finances and in my business, I prosper in my health, soul and spirit in Jesus Name. Amen

You are highly favoured

“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”
Ephesians 1:5-6(KJV)

The Bible in our opening scripture lets us know that we are accepted in the beloved. Now I will like to explain to you what it means to be accepted in the beloved. The word accepted is from the Greek word 'charitoo' it means to be highly favoured. This means that the Bible is saying to you child of God that you are highly favoured in the beloved. So if you are in the beloved, it means you are highly favoured.

When you realize as a child of God that you are highly favoured, you will begin to always expect good things to come to you in life. I encourage you to make this declaration out loud say, “In the Name of Jesus I declare by faith that I am highly favoured. My going out is blessed, my coming in is blessed. Good things always happen to me. When bad things happen, I expect something good to come out of it. Amen.”

When you know and understand that you are highly favoured, you will be rest assured knowing that no matter what happens to you or around you, you cannot be disadvantaged.

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus I am highly favoured, therefore I cannot be disadvantaged. All things that happen to me and all things that happen around me are working for my good because good must always come to me, because I am highly favoured. Amen.

A life of Prosperity

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
Romans 8:32(KJV)

From our opening scripture today, we see that the death of Jesus Christ for us is God's guarantee that He wants to meet all your needs. So if you believe that Jesus died for you, it is God's guarantee to you that He will meet all your needs.

Please make this declaration out loud, say, “God wants me to prosper. God is happy when I prosper. When I prosper the goodness of God is manifested to all men.” This lets you know that your prosperity is not for a selfish reason, but your prosperity is for a divine purpose. Do you know that your prosperity as a child of God is good publicity for the kingdom of God? The Bible lets us know in Psalm 73:1(MSG) “No doubt about it! God is good…” But do you know that your prosperity makes God look good to unbelievers?

God wants you to prosper so you can attract unbelievers to Christ. I heard the story of a muslim landlord in Lagos who having observed the lives of his Christian tenants that they were prospering, called one of his tenants who was not doing so well financially and began to advice him to start going to church with his tenants who are Christians so that he can also prosper and move forward in his life. So the man heeded the advice, started going to church with the other Christians, then he started prospering. Later on the landlord who was a muslim also decided to become a Christian and started going to church with them and he also prospered.

God can do the same thing with your life and He wants to do the same thing with your life. So do not be afraid, neither should you feel guilty because you are prospering. Use your prosperity to favour God's righteous cause by using your prosperity to win unbelievers to Christ.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you because the blessing of Abraham is at work in me because I am in Christ. Therefore I am blessed to be a blessing until all the families of the earth have been blessed in Jesus Name. Amen.

Depend on the blessing

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 10:22(KJV)

According to the Word of God in our opening scripture, it is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich. The Bible shows us how God spoke to Abraham and blessed him in Genesis 12:1-3, then in Genesis 13:2 the Bible says, “And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.” What made Abraham very rich in such a short time? It's the blessing.

Child of God I want you to know today that you are the blessed of the Lord. The Bible says in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” You have been blessed with all spiritual blessings including the same blessing that was on Abraham according to Galatians 3:14 which says, “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Therefore, as a child of God, your confidence and assurance for a wealthy and prosperous life should be in the blessing and not in your own ability. The reason why people steal and deceive to make money is because they are depending on their own ability and not on the blessing.

The blessing of the Lord on you is able to make you rich. Choose not to steal or deceive anybody, instead trust in the blessing to give you favour with all men. Trust in the blessing to give you ideas that will dominate this world. The blessing on you will teach you how to profit in business and all that you lay your hands to do. So trust in the blessing and it will establish you in your wealthy place.

CONFESSION
In the Name of Jesus I declare that I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. The blessing of the Lord on my life makes me rich in every way and adds no sorrow with it. Amen.

Think Prosperity

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he …” Proverbs 23:7(KJV)

Today I will like to tell you the story of a minister of God who was into full time ministry. For a long while after he answered his call, he suffered lack. At this time also, his wife was eight months pregnant and they had nothing in their house except salt. During this time his wife decided to go out to help do the laundry in other people's houses to help sustain them.

One day, as this Pastor studied his Bible at home, he came across Luke 12:32 where the Bible says, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” It was at this point it dawned on him that God wanted him to prosper and have something in life. From that point he opened his heart for prosperity financially, so he released his faith for what they lacked and they started coming in.

What is the revelation in your heart from the Word of God concerning your prosperity; financially, spiritually, in your body, in your mind, even concerning your safety and well being? This is important because some Christians have programmed their minds unconsciously to think contrary to the Word of God concerning their prosperity; financially, spiritually, concerning their health, their academics, their safety, etc. These contrary thoughts will certainly get into their mouth and they will begin to confess negatively, by so doing they will be hindering their own prosperity.

Child of God, I want you to know that God is for you always and He wants you to prosper in every area of your life. His desire for you is not to beg or to suffer, therefore condition your mind with the Word of God and begin to think and speak in line with the Word of God concerning your prosperity. As you do, things will certainly begin to change in your favour.

CONFESSION
Dear Father I boldly announce that I do believe your Word. I declare that your Word to me is true, therefore no matter what I see, no matter what I hear, no matter how I feel, I choose to hold your Word as my reality. Therefore I declare that you are causing me to prosper financially, spiritually, in my health, in my mind, and I am safe in my going out and in my coming in. In Jesus Name. Amen.

A plan of prosperity

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
2 Corinthians 8:9(KJV)

The Bible says in our opening scripture that Jesus became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. Abraham Lincoln once said, “One thing you can do to help the poor is not to become one of them.” This is because if you are poor you can't help the poor. It is the rich that provides jobs for the poor. Poverty does not glorify God in anyway, that is why He doesn't want you to be poor.

Do you know that your prosperity as a Christian is a testimony to the unsaved and to everyone else that God is good? For instance I remember that there was a time that when you said that you were a Pastor, you were seen as a church rat. Many people looked down on Pastors at that time, it was that bad that even if you told your Christian parents you had a call into the ministry, they wouldn't be happy with you. God didn't look good to them at that time, but now things are changing.

Please make this declaration, “God wants me to prosper, God is happy when I prosper, when I prosper it is a testimony to unbelievers and to all men that God is good.” God said in Jeremiah 29:11(GNB), “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” Be confident in God's plan for you because it is a plan of prosperity.

PRAYER
Dear Father I thank you for your great love which you have shown towards me. Your love towards me have made me great. Thank you Father for bringing me into my wealthy place even as you make my life a testimony of your goodness in Jesus Name. Amen.

God wants you to prosper

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
Psalm 35:27(KJV)

For the most part when people think about prosperity, all that comes to their minds is money and having a lot of it. Yes it is true that when you are prosperous you will have money, but having money is not what defines prosperity. Having money is financial prosperity which is just one area of prosperity. God wants you to prosper financially, but He also wants you to prosper in your spirit, soul and body. God wants you to be in health, and He wants you to reach all your goals.

Our opening scripture says that God has “… pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”, The word prosperity here is from the Hebrew word 'shalom'. Shalom means peace, nothing missing, nothing broken, safe, welfare, etc. This means that if all is well with you and you are dwelling safely, it means that you are prospering.

Child of God I want you to know that God is happy when you prosper. For instance, there are Christians who feel bad when they prosper because they have been wrongly taught about prosperity.

So when they begin to prosper, they begin to feel insecure with their wealth because they do not believe that God wants them to prosper.

Today I encourage you to purge your heart from all wrong teachings you have heard in the past concerning prosperity. This is important because your prosperity is going to start with your thinking, so stop thinking lack and shortage. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Open your mind to abundance, prosperity and wealth because that is your life in Christ.

PRAYER
Dear Father I open my heart to the life of abundance, prosperity and wealth. I thank you for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ upon me that has endowed me with the ability to make supernatural progress. I dwell in prosperity where nothing shall be missing or broken in my life in Jesus Name. Amen.

To prosper

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
3 John 1:2(KJV)

In the Old Testament, to prosper is from the Hebrew word 'tsalach' which means, to push forward, to break out or to break forth, to come mightily, to advance, to make progress, to increase. Therefore to be prosperous means to be endowed with the ability to go forward.

In the New Testament, to prosper is from the Greek word 'euodoo' which means, to succeed in reaching, to help on the road, success, to make progress, etc. Therefore to prosper in the New Testament means to make progress, to go forward, to succeed in reaching a goal or a target.

From the above definitions from both the Old and New Testaments, it is obvious that prosperity from God's parlance means more than money. So if you had a goal of getting married and you got married, you prospered. Why? It is because you succeeded in reaching your goal.

With this understanding, you can better appreciate what it means to prosper because you now know that every time you succeed in reaching a goal or you made progress, you prospered. So in this month's devotional you are going to be learning that God's will for you is prosperity. You would also learn how to prosper God's way and continue to heap success upon success in your journey of prosperity.

PRAYER
Dear Father my heart is open to your will of prosperity for me and by your grace I am making unhindered progress and exceeding all my goals in this month in Jesus Name. Amen.
