No more unbelief.

"But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John."

Luke 1:13.

You may expect that such a message in our opening scripture from an angel to any believing Christian should be received with faith and joy, but not so with Zacharias.

Luke 1:18 tells us about his response, "And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years." In life you will experience situations and challenges that will want to make you give up, give in, and quit. But you have to hold on to the Word of God. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:12, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses."

Zacharias’ unbelief brought him dumbness. The angel rebuked him for his unbelief and said to him, "And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season." Luke 1:20.

So, God wants you to control your tongue if you are going to see His promised Word come to pass in our lives. Speaking negatively after you have prayed will delay your manifestation. The reason for the delay in many things you believe for is your words; what you are saying. Because true faith is revealed in your conversations. You must learn to listen to yourself when you speak, it is not just the high moment of faith that is required, your daily confession also counts.

What you say every day largely determines the fulfillment of God's Word in your life. This is why Satan will put you under so much pressure so that you could speak negatively, because he knows God will bring your words to pass.

Prayer.

Dear Father, I thank you for strengthening me with might in my inward man to be able to lay hold on the confessions of my faith without wavering inspite of the contrary pressures I see, feel or hear in Jesus Name. Amen.

Doing the Word.

Hold on to your faith in God's word because there is nothing too hard for Him to do.
