Be consistent.
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
Psalm 1:1-3
Our opening scripture shows us that when we follow the principles of God's Word consistently, it will lead to a life of prosperity wherever we are and in whatever we do. This shows us that prosperity is not a function of your location; it is a function of your convictions and your practices.
Inconsistency and instability in your character as a Christian can minimize your effectiveness in life. Reuben became ineffective in his life because of instability in character. When it was time for him to enter into the fullness of the blessing for his life, he was disqualified because of instability in character. Genesis 49:4 says, “Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.”
James 1:25(GW) says, “However, the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget; they actually do what God's teachings say.” This should be your life this year. Consistency is the key to prosperity and success.
Prayer
Dear Father, I repent from every area of compromise and I receive grace for every area of weakness even as I commit to doing your will with integrity and sincerity, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
