The commanded blessing.
“They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.”
Psalm 84:7
A dear Man of God spoke about a time he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. While he laid down feeling weak, he remembered that there was going to be a service that day. He got up and went to the service in spite of the pain he was feeling. He left the service that day completely healed and healthy. Praise God!
What made that possible? Our opening scripture shows us, “They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.” In this year, make a decision that nothing will be able to stop you from appearing before God in the congregation of the saints.
This is important because every time you miss a service, you missed a blessing. The Bible lets us know that there is a commanded blessing released upon us every time we gather together for a service before God.
Psalm 133:1-3 say, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”
Confession
Read Numbers 6:24-26 and declare the blessing over you and your household.
