The drought is not for you

Monday, January  25th
The drought is not for you.

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.”
1 Kings 17:1-4

Our opening scripture tells us about the day in Israel when the Prophet Elijah declared judgment on the nation because of the sins of Ahab, the king of Israel, at that time. I also want you to notice that as God was judging Israel with drought, He ensured that his servant Elijah was well taken care of. God arranged for his provisions. I want you to know that if you are serving God faithfully, no matter the challenges of the economy of the nation in which you live, God has arranged already supernaturally for your provisions. The drought is not for your sake; you are exempted.

What you need at this time is to listen and follow the instructions that God gives you. God instructed Elijah to go to the brook Cherith because that was where his provision was. He obeyed and went because if he is where God wants him to be, he will have provision.

Are you where God wants you to be? If you are, then you need not worry about anything because you will surely have provision.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for your guidance and leadership in my life. Thank you for your faithfulness to your Word concerning my provisions; it has given me an advantage in the midst of difficult circumstances, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Doing the Word
