The blessing and the anointing.
“And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him. And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him …”
Judges 13:24-25a
Do you know that there is a connection between the blessing and the anointing on your life? The Bible shows us in our opening scripture that it was after the Lord blessed Samson the Spirit of the Lord began to move him. So if you do not learn to function in the blessing, you will lose the anointing.
The Bible says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14. Notice that the blessing made it possible for us to receive the promise of the Spirit.
Isaiah 32:15 says, “Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.”
This shows us that when the Holy Spirit is upon your life it will produce the same effect with the blessing because when the Holy Spirit is upon you it is proof that the blessing is upon your life as well. Just as the blessing produces fruitfulness, when the Holy Spirit is upon you, He will also produce fruitfulness. Therefore, functioning with the Holy Spirit and the anointing will be easier for you if you will learn how to receive, function and flow with the blessing.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for blessing me with your Spirit, thereby empowering me for a life of productivity and fruitfulness all my days, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
