The word of blessing.
“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word …”
Luke 1:38
What do you do when the blessing is declared over your life? Your response should be the same with that of Mary in our opening scripture when angel Gabriel was sent to give her the Word that caused her to conceive.
Why is your response in verbalizing the Word important? It is because God does nothing on earth until a man says it. Just as for the Word to become flesh, the Word had to be believed, and the person who believed had to verbalize her faith saying, “Be it unto me according to thy word.” That was what made it possible for her to conceive. Therefore, if God's Word is going to come to pass in your life, you must believe it and speak it.
The most important decision of your life is the decision for your salvation. How does a man access salvation? The principle is the same; the gospel is declared to him, then he must believe and speak it. The Bible says, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:8-10. You activate salvation by words. Matthew 12:37 says, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” If you are going to function well in the kingdom of God, you must learn the importance and the power of words.
