A right to the Name.

Friday, January 6th.
A right to the Name.

“Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.”
Acts 19:13

Today, I will like you to notice that these men in our opening scripture who went about casting out devils were not believers. The Bible calls them vagabond Jews. So because they were not born again, they did not have the right to use the Name of Jesus like those of us who are born again in Christ.

As a result of the illegal use of the Name of Jesus by these men, the Bible says in Acts 19:15-16, “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.”

Now the story is different for every born again child of God. It does not matter how many years ago you got born again, even if you just got born again yesterday, you still have absolute authority in the Name of Jesus over every devil because that Name has been given to every child of God. So be confident as you use that Name because all devils will surely obey you. The Bible says concerning you in 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Confession.
I declare that greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I have been born of God, therefore I have overcome the world and I have a right to use the Name of Jesus to command and enforce obedience over all devils, principalities and all powers. Amen.

Doing the Word.
Fear no evil; you have the Name of Jesus.
