Have confidence in the Name.
“And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
Acts 3:16
In our opening scripture today, we see Peter the apostle testifying concerning the healing of the lame man at the beautiful gate. He testified to those who were amazed by the miracle that was done. He made them know that it was through faith alone the lame man was made strong and had perfect soundness.
Why is it important for every one of us to understand this? It is important because there are some Christians who erroneously depend on their own power and ability when praying for others. In other words, their focus when praying for others is usually on themselves and not on Jesus. So, they shout, they beg, they cry, so that God can be merciful and hear their prayer and heal. God does not hear you just because you shouted, He hears you because your confidence and faith is in the name of Jesus.
Therefore, I encourage you to put your faith in the power and authority that is in the Name of Jesus. Be confident in your heart that whenever you use the Name of Jesus every devil must obey, because all devils are subject to you in the Name of Jesus. Have such confidence, and do not expect anything less irrespective of how long you have been a Christian. You can get results in the Name of Jesus.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank you for your love towards me. I also thank you for the assurance you have given to me in your Word that whatsoever I ask in the Name of Jesus you will do. Thank you Father for the abundant supplies of your grace and your benefits toward me today and always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
