God Wants You To Prosper
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest
prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth.”
3 John 1:2
The word 'prosper' in our opening scripture also means to succeed in business affairs. This means that God wants your business to succeed. God wants you to make progress and move from one level to another. We live in levels and we arrive in stages.
There are different levels of success. That is why the word to prosper in the Greek also means a prosperous journey and it also means to be successful. This means that the word prosper and the word success are interchangeable in our biblical context.
Therefore since to prosper means to be successful, we can read 3John 1:2 in this context, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest succeed in your business affairs and be in health even as your soul prospereth.” This scripture shows us that God wants you to prosper and succeed in all three aspects of your life.
One is the material aspect of your life, which includes: your finances, your business and your career. The second aspect is your health. God wants you to prosper in your health. God wants you to be healthy. Thirdly, God wants you to prosper in your soul. Therefore, your total success is a priority to God.
If you are not successful in all three realms of success; materially, physically in your health and spiritually in your soul, you are not truly successful in the sight of God.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that as I long after You and desire more of You and Your word in my life. I thank You for it activates Your good fortune, progress, success and prosperity in my spirit, soul and body, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Doing the Word
