Keep Out Of Debt
“Keep out of debt and owe no man anything …”
Romans 13:8(AMP)
One thing you must do for yourself this year is to keep out of debt and do not owe any man anything.
Learn the discipline of not living above your means but relying on the sufficiency of Christ even in difficult circumstances.
Apostle Paul expresses this discipline to us in Philippians 4:11-13(AMP) saying,
“… for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am. I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].”
This year do not acquire debts: do not buy clothes and shoes on credit. Do not spend your money before it comes. This is because whenever you buy anything on credit you have spent the money in your future. Clothes and shoes do not have second hand value, so do not invest in them.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that in this season, may the work of my hands, my ideas and my business be anointed with grace to produce wealth and increase, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
