The Right To Lead.
"So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved wisely. And Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of Saul's servants." 1Samuel 18:5 (NKJV)
The way David was accepted by all is amazing because he was only a young boy at this time holding such a sensitive leadership position yet he was widely accepted by all. This was because David though he was young distinguished himself and was successful in whatever Saul sent him to do.
David's success and accomplishments earned him the right to lead. This shows us that the right to lead is earned. Therefore, if those who have not earned the right to lead are appointed as leaders, the people under them will rebel against their leadership.
There are ways in which you can earn the right to lead. You can earn it by the position you occupy. You can also earn it through productivity and results. That was the way David earned his right to lead. Whatever he was given to do was successful therefore the people submitted themselves to his leadership.
I encourage you just like David to go for success in whatever you do, if you do, leadership will gravitate towards you.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You give success to all that I lay my hands to do and in all that has been committed to my trust. I ask that You bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Your hand might be with me, and keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
