Contend For Your Vision.
“Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.” Deuteronomy 2:24.
God told the children of Israel in our opening scripture that He had given them the land, but they had to contend for it. Whatever God has said concerning your future is what He has already given to you, but you have to contend for it.
If you do not contend for the many things that has been given to you by God, you may never see their manifestation. Stop saying that you are waiting for God to do something about what He has said. He is waiting for you to contend for it. You contend for it in prayer.
Zechariah 10:1 says, “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Notice that it is time for the latter rain, yet the Lord says ask for it. If you don't ask for it, it is time but it will never happen.
Your vision is for an appointed time, but you have to ask for it. If you don't ask, the Lord does nothing. Is the promise of God in your life overdue? Then contend for it. Remind God of what He said to you, “Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: …” Hosea 14:2a.
Instruction.
Please read Zechariah 10:1 and ask God for the rain of His Spirit upon your life for the fulfillment of all that God has spoken concerning you this year.
For further study, read:
Genesis 32:24-29, 1 Kings 8:54-61,
1 Chronicles 4:9-10, Isaiah 62:1,
1 Thessalonians 5:17.
