A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 31st JULY 2019

Contend For Your Vision.

“Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.” Deuteronomy 2:24.

God told the children of Israel in our opening scripture that He had given them the land, but they had to contend for it. Whatever God has said concerning your future is what He has already given to you, but you have to contend for it.
If you do not contend for the many things that has been given to you by God, you may never see their manifestation. Stop saying that you are waiting for God to do something about what He has said. He is waiting for you to contend for it. You contend for it in prayer.

Zechariah 10:1 says, “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Notice that it is time for the latter rain, yet the Lord says ask for it. If you don't ask for it, it is time but it will never happen.

Your vision is for an appointed time, but you have to ask for it. If you don't ask, the Lord does nothing. Is the promise of God in your life overdue? Then contend for it. Remind God of what He said to you, “Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: …” Hosea 14:2a.

Instruction.
Please read Zechariah 10:1 and ask God for the rain of His Spirit upon your life for the fulfillment of all that God has spoken concerning you this year.

For further study, read:
Genesis 32:24-29, 1 Kings 8:54-61,
1 Chronicles 4:9-10, Isaiah 62:1,
1 Thessalonians 5:17.

Doing the Word
Declare the vision God has given to you daily.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 30th JULY 2019

Pray With Your Vision 2.

“For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God. And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said. And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee. For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.”
2 Samuel 7:24-27.

Our opening scripture is the prayer David prayed when he found out that God was going to build him a house, he turned it into a prayer. When God reveals His plan concerning any area of your life to you, the smartest thing for you to do is to turn it into a prayer.

If you don't do that and you keep quiet, do not blame God when you begin to experience any form of delay because you did not take responsibility for the fulfilment of the Word of God that came to you.
David took the responsibility of prayer based on the Word God gave him and it came to pass. See the concluding part of David's prayer based on that Word from God, “And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.” 2 Samuel 7:28-29.

Instruction.
Please read 1 Kings 8:56 and give God thanks because there shall not fail any of the Word which He has spoken concerning you and His vision for your life.

For further study, read:
Genesis 32:9-12, 1 Chronicles 17:15-27,
Psalm 89:34-37.

Doing the Word
Itemize the Word God has given you as an individual in line with His vision for your life and turn them into a prayer.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 29th JULY 2019

Pray With Your Vision 1.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.”
Jeremiah 29:11-12.

Our opening scripture shows us that after discovering God's plan and purpose for your life, which is your vision and your destiny in God, that vision should guide your prayer life.

For instance, in Acts 26:18 Paul's vision for ministry was clearly stated, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

This vision stated above that God gave to the Apostle Paul was what determined his prayer for those that were under his authority. We see this in Ephesians 1:17-18 as he prayed for the Ephesian church, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Did you notice that he prayed that their eyes may be enlightened and that they may also know their glorious inheritance which is in line with the vision 'to open their eyes' and 'to give them an inheritance.' This meant that the vision that God gave to the Apostle Paul guided his prayer life. You must also practice this; let the vision of God for your life guide your prayer.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause me to stand perfect and complete in all Your will for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Galatians 4:19, Ephesians 3:16-19,
Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:9-11.

Doing the Word
Pray in line with the vision God has given you daily.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 28th JULY 2019

Pray And Fast

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;”
1 Timothy 1:18.

Praying and fasting based on what God has said concerning you can also help in facilitating the fulfilment of your destiny. Jesus prayed and fasted. Paul the Apostle also prayed and fasted often according to the scriptures. Today in our opening scripture, Paul is also charging Timothy to war a good warfare with the prophecies that were given concerning him. This means that if you are going to finish your course as they did, prayer and fasting is also recommended for you.

There are many things that God wants you to have that satan is hindering. Daniel prayed and fasted for twenty-one days, but when the angel came to him, he said, “Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:12-13. If Daniel didn't persist in prayer, the angel would not have brought the answer.

Hence, I want you to know that there are many things you have prayed for and the answers have already been given in the realm of the spirit, but you need to contend until you see their manifestation. Do not be tired and give up. Contend in prayer against hindering spirits until all your answers are manifested. That is one of your roles in the fulfilment of your divine destiny.

Instruction.
Please read 1 Corinthians 16:9 and                          1 Thessalonians 2:18 and bind all forms of hindering spirits arrayed against you, your family, business, etc.

For further study, read:
Esther 3:1-15, Esther 4:1-17, Esther 5:1-14,
 Esther 6:1-14, Esther 7:1-10.

Doing the Word
Stop complaining about the answers that have not manifested, now you know you should bind the hindering spirits responsible for the delay and contend for their manifestation.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 27th JULY 2019

Fulfill Your Destiny

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:6-8.

From our opening scripture today, we are able to see that Paul was able to finish his course and the end of the destiny God had for him before he died. If he had died earlier, he would not have finished that which God assigned him to do, that was why Paul always prayed and urged the believers to pray for him as well as seen in 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”

I encourage you to pray for your family, other believers, your leaders and pastors so that they are preserved from evil and be able to finish their course. This is important because if anyone dies before his or her time, their destiny is aborted. The right time to pass on to glory is when you have finished your course and have fulfilled the destiny God has for you. If you have not done that, God has promised you in His Word, “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” Psalm 91:16. So, keep living out your destiny and become all that God wants you to be, do all that God wants you to do and have all that God wants you to have.

Instruction.
Please read Psalm 79:11-12 and pray that every member of your family or church is preserved from untimely death in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 118:17, 2 Timothy 4:17-18, Jude 1:24.

Doing the Word
Read Colossians 4:17 and receive grace to finish your course without reproach.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 26th JULY 2019

Prayer Averts Evil

“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must keep praying until the answer comes.” Luke 18:1 (TLB)

Many destinies would not be fulfilled, not because God does not want them to be fulfilled but because they did not know the place of prayer when it comes to destiny fulfillment.

In Genesis 31:13. God had told Jacob to go back to the land of his fathers. As he was on his way there, he heard his brother Esau was on his way to kill him because he stole his birthright. If he didn't pray as he did, he would have been killed. His prayer averted death and turned his brother Esau's heart to favour him.

Never trivialize prayer for your destiny because it is necessary for destiny fulfillment. Those who don't pray will reap the consequences. In Acts chapter 12, James an Apostle was killed by Herod the king. Why wasn't he protected and delivered from death? Nobody was praying for him. But when Peter, another Apostle, was arrested and kept in prison by Herod, the Bible says, “But earnest prayer was going up to God from the church for his safety all the time he was in prison.” Acts 12:5 (TLB). The prayer of the church delivered Peter from death.

Therefore, if you are not praying for yourself and nobody is praying for you, you may not fulfill destiny.

Instruction.
Please read 2 Thessalonians 3:1 and ask God to deliver you and believers everywhere from wicked and unreasonable men.

For further study, read:
Genesis 32:9-13, 24-30, Acts 12:1-17.

Doing the Word
Don't wait for trouble before you pray. Take on the responsibility of prayer for yourself today.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 25th JULY 2019

Pray Forth The Word

“And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.”
1 Kings 18:41.

Our opening scripture was a prophetic word given to Ahab the king of Israel at that time by Elijah the prophet. I believe that many of you reading this devotional today have also received a prophetic word from God at one time in your life. God may have spoken to you and told you certain glorious things about your future and maybe you have not seen some of those things come to pass yet. It is not because they will not come to pass. It is because it will take prayer for them to come to pass.

Elijah prophesied that there is a sound of abundance of rain. This should immediately call for a celebration because at this time there had been no rain in Israel for three and half years. For many who would hear a word like that, they would have just gone about rejoicing and never stop to pray about the prophecy.

1 Kings 18:42 (NLT) says, “So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.” Elijah gave the Word, yet he went to pray while the king went to feast. When you continue reading 1 Kings 18:43-46 you will notice that Elijah continued praying until the Word was manifested. That is what you also need to do if you want to see your destiny or the prophetic Word God has given to you come to pass. You have to pray forth the Word.

Instruction.
Please read Isaiah 32:15 and Ezekiel 34:26 and pray for a rain of the Spirit upon you to increase your productivity in the remaining part of this year.

For further study, read:
Ephesians 6:18, Colossians 4:2, James 5:16-18.

Doing the Word
Persist in praying based on the Word God gave you until it is manifested.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 24th JULY 2019

Bind The Hindrance

“Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.”              1 Thessalonians 2:18.

There are many people who wonder why their destinies are not fulfilled. It is because the fulfillment of destiny requires both the God-ward and man-ward side. In other words, the fulfillment of destiny requires both divine and human collaboration.

Don't think if it is God's will it will happen even if I do nothing. No! You have a role to fulfill. That is why many destinies are disappointed because they feel that if God wants it for them, He is going to do it so they just relax and watch God do it if he wants to or cares to do it. It won't happen like that, you have to pray because according to Luke 11:2, God's will would not be done unless you pray.

In 1 Corinthians 16:9 Paul said, “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” This reveals that God has a great destiny for you but there will be spiritual oppositions. These oppositions or adversaries are responsible for the delays in the fulfillment of your God ordained destiny, hence, you must pray to bind them.

There are people who have experienced a situation where someone promised to help them and till date they haven't been helped by that person. It's not just because the person is wicked, it is because when God opens the door, adversaries will arise. This is why it is necessary for you to know how to pray effectively instead of living your life thinking whatever will be will be. That is not Christianity. We know that things can change and get better. Activate that change by praying today.

Instruction.
Please read Isaiah 45:1-2 and pray that every opposition against your life and destiny will bow before you.

For further study, read:
Isaiah 62:6-7, 2 Corinthians 1:8-11,
Philippians 1:19, Colossians 4:3,
 2 Thessalonians 3:1.

Doing the Word
Whenever you encounter oppositions or delays always remember to bind the hindering spirits responsible for such.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 23rd JULY 2019

 Pray To Fulfil Destiny

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
1 John 5:14-15.

In the remaining days of this month's devotional beginning from today, we are going to be looking at the role of prayer in destiny fulfilment.

Prayer is a verbal request made upon God based on His promise to meet that need. Notice from our definition that prayer must be verbal; that means that we ought to speak. In Luke 11:2 Jesus said, “… When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” This shows us that God's will would not be done until we pray.

Prayer is the vehicle that facilitates the fulfilment of God's will in the earth. If God's will is going to be done and if your destiny is going to be fulfilled, then you must pray. It is important to note that you don't pray based on presumption, you pray according to the revealed will of God. You can't just pray and ask God to take you to space right now because there is no promise in the Word of God to guarantee any answer to such a prayer. So, when you are praying, it must be based on a promise in the Word of God. This is because effective prayer is the prayer based on God's Word and God's Word is the revelation of His will. The Bible is the written revelation of God's perfect will.

Instruction.
Please read Colossians 4:12 and ask God to endow you with grace to stand perfect and complete in all His will for your life.

For further study, read:
Psalm 5:3, Psalm 28:2, John 17:1-4.

Doing the Word
Draw grace from the Holy Spirit and expect Him to strengthen you to finish His purpose for your life without reproach.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 22nd JULY 2019

Guard Your Destiny

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;”
Romans 12:11.

Today I want to charge you to serve God with all diligence and fervency. If need be, you can go to God in prayer and ask for a divine intervention from Him for anything that is due you that is been delayed. Why is it important for you to pray this way? It is important because if you do not fulfill what God sent you, He will pick another person to do it.

God does not waste destines; if you are Judas and you fall, He will chose Matthias. Therefore, do not take fulfilling your purpose and destiny in God lackadaisically. Life is a battle so fight for your crown by fulfilling your divine destiny so that it will not given to someone else.

Revelation 3:11 says, “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” This reveals that there is a crown for you in destiny but someone else can take it if you do not fulfill your destiny.

There are people that have been destined by God to be Governors or Presidents of nations but they may never become it because they do not know these things, so, they do not pursue their destinies with diligence and fervency. That is why I encourage you to live your life with diligence, serve God with fervency and pray consistently for grace to fulfill your divine destiny.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You strengthen me with might in my inward man according to the riches of Your glory to be able to be all that You have ordained for me to be, do all You have ordained for me to do and have everything You have ordained for me to have, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Acts 1:15-20, 1 Corinthians 9:25, 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

Doing the Word
Do not be slothful. Diligently pursue the fulfilment of your destiny.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 21st JULY 2019

Decide To Obey 3

“… Follow me, and I will make you …”
Matthew 4:19.

Today, I will like to share a story with you about Kenneth Hagin to teach you the importance of obeying and following God's plan and purpose for your life.

Kenneth Hagin was pastoring for several years before the Lord began to let him know that he was not called to be a Pastor but a Prophet and Teacher. At first when he stopped pastoring he became an evangelist before he finally became a prophet and teacher. Since he was always traveling, his wife didn't like it.

His wife preferred him to be a Pastor than for him to be traveling around often. So, on the Sunday he came to take the church he was to pastor, as they were having Sunday school, he had a heart attack, he collapsed and became unconscious.

When his wife was called to see him and was told what happened, she immediately began to repent before the Lord that she was sorry. That day, she released her husband to serve God and to do whatever God had called him to do because God had told her earlier that He was going to call her husband home because of the way she was behaving which led him out of God's will and opened him to destruction and loss of life.
After she repented and gave her husband back to the Lord, he revived and joined her in the prayer surrendering to the call. As a result of that decision they took that day, many years later, their son was serving the American army at a base in Asia. As he rode his bike one day, there was a mishap and the bike fell down the mountain but his life was spared. At that same time, the Lord woke his father who didn't know what was happening up and said to him, “Today, your son would have died, but I spared him because you obeyed me to answer your call.” Decisions determine your destiny. That is why I encourage you if you are a wife reading this today to allow your husband follow God's plan and purpose for his life. It will be to your benefit.

You can make the right decisions today that will preserve the lives of your children in the future.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You give me an understanding of the times to do what I ought to do at the right time always in the pursuance of your plan and purpose for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 22:15-18, Genesis 26:3-6, Genesis 26:24.

Doing the Word
Faithfully follow God's plan for your life.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 20th JULY 2019

Decide To Obey God 2

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
Philippians 2:5-8.

Today, we are going to continue examining the decision to obey God. Jesus Christ is our role model for obedience. He obeyed even to the death of the cross to show us how we also ought to cultivate a life of obedience if we are going to fulfill our purpose.

What is obedience? Obedience is a choice. It is the voluntary exercise of the will in compliance with the instruction from a superior authority.

Obedience in the kingdom of God is not coerced, it's a choice. Jesus choose to obey God by making Himself of no reputation. This means that humility is a choice.
Also, in the kingdom of God obedience precedes promotion, provision and protection. Every time there is a loss in our lives, we can trace it to a point of disobedience. Every time you violate a divine instruction, you open yourself to loss and destruction.

A minister of God was involved in a plane crash, he was spared but his wife's knee was broken and many others were injured. He said, before they took the flight, his wife told him that she sensed in her spirit that they should not travel, but he didn't listen because he gave the people his word so he had to go. Thank God his life was spared. Yet, this shows us that it pays to obey God.

Prayer.
Dear Father, I thank You for grace to will and to do of Your good pleasure. I receive grace to faithfully obey Your Word and Your instruction to me always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 40:6-8, John 4:34, John 15:10, Hebrews 5:8-9.

Doing the Word
Faithfully obey God's leading.

Friday, 19 July 2019

A WORD IN DUE SEASON FRIDAY 19th JULY 2019

Decide To Obey God 1

“Choose to love the Lord your God and to obey him and to cling to him, for he is your life and the length of your days. You will then be able to live safely in the land the Lord promised your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."
Deuteronomy 30:20 (TLB)

The third important decision you need to make in determining your destiny is the decision to obey God and to do His Word. God will never force you to obey Him because He respects the human will, so He will give you the opportunity to choose to obey Him. This makes the place of decision a place of committal to go God's way.

One day, David made a decision to commit adultery with Bathsheba and also to kill Uriah her husband as a result the Lord told him that the sword will not depart from his house. See 2 Samuel 12:9-12.

You are where you are right now because of your decisions. Where you will be tomorrow will be because of your decisions. There are people who are already in hell because of some careless decisions they made contrary to the Word of God.
When you make the decision to always obey God and to do His Word, then you can lay claims on all the blessings in Deuteronomy 28:1-13. They are the reserved blessings for all those who have chosen to obey and serve God. Your part is to obey Him and do what He tells you to do. His part is to set you on high above all nations.

Instruction.
Make a commitment today to obey and serve God all your days by praying this prayer, “Father in the Name of Jesus, I am your child, I have made the decision to serve the Lord Jesus. He is the One I will serve; spirit, soul and body. I am willing to be willing to do whatever He wants me to do. I surrender my will in the Name of Jesus, and I declare by faith that I receive grace to live out a life of obedience, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Genesis 22:18, Genesis 26:1-5, Malachi 3:10-12.

Doing the Word
Declare the blessings in Deuteronomy 28:1-13 over your life.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON THURSDAY 18th JULY 2019

You Are Working For God

“Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.”
Ephesians 6:5-8.

From our opening scripture today, it is obvious that we serve God by the way we approach our work. With what you will learn today, I believe you will have a different approach to your work even if you are working in a secular environment.

Have respect for your boss as unto Christ. How do you treat your boss? Do you insult him or her? Do not do your work with eye service. Be like Joseph who never required supervision. See Genesis 39:11. If you only work when your boss is around, you are doing your work with eye service and God doesn't want that. Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (NKJV), “For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.”

It is God's will to work. Money is a reward for adding value. So if you want money to come to you, start working, and wherever you work, work as though you are working for Jesus. If the Lord was your boss, you will finish every assignment He gives you quicker. The Lord taught me many years ago saying, “Son wherever you work, the person who promotes is the Lord not your boss.” If promotion comes because you know your boss or your boss is not promoting you because you are a Christian, then Daniel would not have been promoted. Daniel was promoted because an excellent spirit was found in him. Also, the man Joseph would not have been promoted because he was not an Egyptian and he had been falsely accused and convicted of rape. Remember that you do not have to reap where you sow, you reap what you sow. Therefore, do your work with all diligence as though you are working for the Lord and he will promote you in due time.

Instruction.
Read Exodus 31:1-3 and ask God to grant you wisdom to be able to do your work exceptionally well.

For further study, read: Colossians 3:22,                  1 Timothy 6:1-3, Titus 2:9-10, 1 Peter 2:18-21.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON (TUESDAY 16th 2019)

Serve God With Your Spirit And Mind

“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son …”
Romans 1:9.

Our opening scripture reveals that we serve God with our spirit. Let all you do for God come from your spirit, in other words let your heart be in it otherwise such service is not accepted by God.

In Matthew 15:7-9, Jesus spoke with displeasure concerning worship that does not come from the heart saying, “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Secondly, we serve God with our mind. Paul said in Romans 7:25, “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Get your mind renewed and aligned with the scriptures by so doing you are serving God with your mind. You must realize that what you are thinking in your mind is part of worship because worship is more than an act, it is a life style.

The question I will like to ask you is this; “What are your predominant thoughts?” Are your thoughts exalting Christ or dethroning Him? I encourage you to meditate on the Word of God and let your mind be full of it because meditation is the key to transformation. It empowers you to do the Word of God. The mind plays a very important role in morality because the content of a man's mind is what determines his character. Therefore, I encourage you to load your mind with the Word of God.

Instruction.
Read Ephesians 1:17-19 and pray the prayer for yourself.

For further study, read:
Joshua 1:8, Proverbs 23:7a, Romans 8:5-9,
Romans 12:1-2.

Doing the Word
Meditate on Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

A WORD IN DUE SEASON (MONDAY 15th JULY 2019)

Serve God In Reverence And Holiness

“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:” Hebrews 12:28.

In continuation from yesterday, I want you to know that we serve God with reverence. We are expected to serve God with godly fear because that is the acceptable way to serve Him. The fear of God is scarce today in the lives of many in the church, that is why it has been said that this generation is slower than the older generation who were able to achieve things faster with God because they had a greater reverence and fear for God.

Job was the greatest man in the East in his days because he had the fear of God. See Job 1:1-3.

Secondly, I want you to know that we are expected to serve God in holiness. God wants us to live a life of holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (NLT) says, “God's will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.”
Hebrews 13:4 (NLT), says, “Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.”

Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause my love to abound more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; so that I may approve things that are excellent and to remain sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Psalm 19:14, Hebrews 5:7, 1 Peter 1:17.

Doing the Word.
Serve God with reverence and holiness.

A WORD IN DUE SEASON (SATURDAY 13th JULY 2019)

Choose To Serve God

“But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."                  Joshua 24:15 (NLT).

The second important decision that can determine your destiny is your decision to serve God.

Exodus 23:25 says, “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” This reveals that when you made a choice to serve God you made a choice to be blessed. Your decisions determine your outcomes, so if you do not like your outcomes then check your decisions.

According to Exodus 23:25, God is saying that if you serve Him, your health will become His priority. After E.W Kenyon got saved, he was struggling with the call of God upon his life and he had tuberculosis. Amazingly, someone came to him after he accepted his call and he was healed. His decision to answer his call led to his healing.

When you make your decision to serve God the Bible says, “There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil. I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.” Exodus 23:26-27. When you make your decision to serve God, these blessings become automatic in your life.

Prayer.
Dear Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare by faith that I belong to You; spirit, soul and body. Today, I receive grace to serve the Lord wherever He wants me to serve. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that the Blessing of God will rest upon me and my children as I serve. Holy Spirit, help me stay consistent in my service of the Lord, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

For further study, read:
Deuteronomy 11:13-14, Job 36:11, Isaiah 1:19.

Doing the Word.
If you are struggling with the call of God upon your life, I encourage you to answer your call today.

A Word In Due Season - Friday 12th July, 2019

Choose To Be Born Again

"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”
Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT)

Our opening scripture reveals that your decisions impact your children. The decisions you make today will impact your children.

The first decision you have to make is the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. When you choose to turn from transgression, the Spirit that is upon you and the Word of the Lord that is in your mouth will not depart from your mouth and out of the mouth of your children and out of the mouth of your grandchildren from now and forever. See Isaiah 59:20-21.

Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
In conclusion, your decision to get born again will not only affect your life and destiny positively today, but it will also help to shape the lives and destinies of your children.

Instruction.
Read Acts 10:44, Acts 2:16-17, Acts 21:8-9 and ask for an outpouring of the spirit upon every member of your family.

For further study, read:
Genesis 18:19, Galatians 3:26-29, Hebrews 11:24-26.
