The gospel of grace.

"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."

Acts 20:32

Grace is from the Greek word 'charis' which connotes, graciousness of manner or act, the divine influence upon the heart and its reflection on the life, gratitude, acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace, joy, liberality or generosity, pleasure, thank or thank worthy, etc.

When you expose yourself to the good news or the gospel of grace, it would cause you to grow spiritually. This is obvious from our opening scripture which says, "…I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, …" God's Word translation puts it this way, "I am now entrusting you to God and to his message that tells how kind he is. That message can help you grow …" Therefore if you are not exposed to the Word of His grace, you would not grow. This is why I am bringing you the gospel of grace in the month's devotional so that your spiritual growth can be enhanced.

You will only be able to increase in grace by developing and cultivating a strong spirit through the Word of God. The Bible says in Luke 2:40(AMP), "And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him."

Instruction.

Thank the Lord for this new month and also pray the prayer in Ephesians 3:16 for yourself today.

For further study, read:

Hebrews 13:9, 2 Timothy 2:1, 2 Peter 3:18.

Doing the Word

I encourage you to make developing your spirit a priority to you this month by studying the Word of God everyday.
