Grace brought salvation.

Grace brought salvation.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Romans 3:23

Our opening scripture shows us that every one of us is guilty before God and none of us can save ourselves; so we all need a Saviour. Praise God, we find that Saviour in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,” When Jesus walked this earth over two thousand years ago, He was the grace of God manifested to all men. The Bible tells us in John 8 about the woman that was caught in the very act of adultery that was brought to Jesus by the scribes and Pharisees. According to the laws of Moses, she was supposed to be stoned to death because of her sin. However, the scribes and Pharisees who brought her to Jesus and demanded that she should be stoned to death according to the law, had not kept the law completely themselves; so they were as guilty as the woman they were trying to condemn.

Jesus said to them in John 8:7, “…He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” There was none of them who was without sin, showing that they were all guilty before God and needed a Saviour. If only the advocators of the law knew that the law made them guilty before God, they would fall before the feet of Jesus for grace. If the law could give salvation, Jesus would not have come to save us. But the law could not make anybody righteous, so the grace of God that brings salvation appeared. Just as he saved that woman, He wants to save you and give you grace to sin no more.
