“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:5-8.
Are you double minded? It means you are living your life without a focus. A lack of focus is one of the roadblocks to progress and success in life. This is one of the reasons people do not succeed.
It has been said that one of the reasons why men fail is broken focus. This is because a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
In Genesis 49:3-4, Jacob was talking to his firstborn and he said to him, “Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.”
Instability because of a lack of focus will hinder your progress in life and make you vulnerable to making the wrong decisions. Be focused. Find out God's vision for your life and maintain consistency.
Prayer.
Dear Father, I ask that You cause me to stand perfect and complete in all of Your will for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
