"And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, …" Genesis 15:2
From our opening scripture we see that Abram was seeing wrongly because he was seeing himself go childless. As long as he kept seeing himself that way, God's word concerning him that he will be made the father of many nations will not come to pass. So God had to change the inner picture of his future.
If God doesn't change the inner picture you have of your future, the future that God has planned will never happen. The children of Israel died in the wilderness; those who were 20 years and above when they came out of Egypt except Caleb and Joshua because they refused to believe the Word of God to them since they could not see what God had said coming to pass. They couldn't enter the promised land because of unbelief and their inability to see themselves the way God saw them. (See Numbers chapters 13 & 14)
No matter what God promised you, if you don't see it, it will never happen. This is why I say, vision is the mother of faith. When Abram in our opening scripture saw himself dying childless, what did God do? The Bible shows us in Genesis 15:5-6, "And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; …" God gave him a new picture, when he began to envision his children, that was when he was able to believe God.
I encourage you to allow the Word of God form new pictures in your mind that are in line with what God has said concerning you in His Word as you do, your faith will be activated.
Prayer.
Dear Father I thank you because the eyes of my heart are anointed to see visions and revelations that are in line with your purpose and plan for my life in Jesus Name. Amen.
