“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child,
differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord
of all;”
Galatians 4:1.
Our opening scripture shows us that as long
as you are not growing, there are certain things
you will not enjoy though they are
in your destiny. Your destiny in God will not just
happen. For you to walk in your destiny, you will
have to grow.
For instance, God choose Judas yet he did not fulfil
his destiny. Also, God spoke to the children of
Israel that they were going to enter the Promised
Land but the first generation of the children of
Israel never got there because of their unbelief. So,
the fulfilment of your destiny requires your
cooperation.
There are people who blame God because what He
said to them did not come to pass in their lives. God
is not to be blamed because the fulfilment of destiny
requires both human and divine collaboration.
That is why you must remain committed to your
personal growth.
The Message Bible puts Galatians 4:1 this way, “Let
me show you the implications of this. As long as the
heir is a minor, he has no advantage over the slave.
Though legally he owns the entire inheritance” This
reveals that if you don't grow, you will not enjoy
your inheritance.
Therefore where you are today as an individual, is a
reflection of your spiritual and your mental state.
Instruction.
Read Acts 14:26, Acts 15:40 and commend
yourself to the grace of God concerning your
work, job and assignment.
For further study, read:
Acts 20:32, 1 Timothy 4:12-15,
Hebrews 11:24-26 (NLT).
Doing the Word.
Meditate and act on 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to
shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth.”
