Complete access in Christ 1.

“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”
 Ephesians 2:18 (KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that through Jesus Christ we have direct access to the Father. So, the Jew does not have more access than the Gentile. It says we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Ephesians 3:11-12 says, “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.” Therefore,  if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you now have access, with boldness, and confidence before the Father! So when I come to God, I receive special treatment because I am in Christ Jesus. Praise God.

For instance when you follow a dignitary to an occasion, they will treat you like a dignitary. They will say you came with so and so, this is the place we reserved for him and his entourage, this is the hotel we reserved for him and his entourage. Now you are enjoying that honor and privilege because of the person you came with. Personally, you may not be very educated or rich but because you are associated with that dignitary, you are getting that privilege.

In the same way, now that you are in Christ, you can have access to places He has access to, you have access to all that He has. Why? The Bible says in Romans 8:16-17, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” In other words, we share all that He has with Him jointly.

The Bible says in 1 John 4:17-19, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.”

CONFESSION
So great is your mercy and your love towards me. Your love has made me loose all my fears and given me confidence, your grace as empowered me to be what you want me to be, and your Spirit as glorified me, bearing me witness that I am your son, the beloved of the Lord.

DOING THE WORD
From now on always be confident before your Father. You have been given complete access.
