The Power of the Spirit.

“This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”     Zachariah 4:6(KJV)

The Lord is saying to us in our opening scripture that it is,  “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” In other words, the Lord is saying to us that it is not in numbers, or the number of people you know. So, stop relying on the people you know. This is because every dream that God gives to you will be impossible without His help.

Secondly, the Bible says in Zechariah 4:6, “…Not by might, nor by power, …” When the Word says that it is not by power, He is saying that it is not going to be by your own ability or financial power. You don’t have to go and beg people or start looking for the money. For some people when ever they are faced with a challenge or they are given an instruction from God, if they do not have the money or the people, they believe that they are sunk. No you are not sunk.  God can talk to people to get involved with your work and also speak to them to give to your work. It is the Spirit of God that is the master connector. Therefore, you must learn to recognize the sufficiency of God’s Spirit.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:5-6, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” How did we become able ministers? It is by the Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is the One that empowers you and gives you the capacity to carry out the new testament.

This means that if you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you have the capacity to do whatever God wants you to do. There is nothing you need for the work you need to do, that is not already in you because the Holy Spirit is already in you. All the ability you will ever require to do what God has told you to do is in the Holy Spirit, and that Holy Spirit is in you. Therefore, you have sufficient ability to do all things.

Confession
I have power, Holy Ghost Power. The Power and the ability of God is at work in me and through me. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I have the sufficiency of Christ at work in me. Nothing shall be impossible unto me because I am filled with power by the Spirit of the Lord, Who has made me an able minister of the new testament. Praise God.
