Victory in Christ.

“The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”   1 Corinthians 15:56-57(KJV)

From our opening scripture, we see that the sting of death is sin, this means that when people continue to live in sin, death will have an in road into their lives. Also, our opening scripture also lets us know that the strength of sin is the law. So wherever the law is preached, sin is powerful, and when the people begin to live in sin, then death has dominion.

This is why we preach the gospel of grace. The Bible tells us in John 1:17, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” So when we preach the gospel of grace, it liberates and brings all who believe to a victorious life in Christ Jesus. We have victory over sin because of Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Romans 6:14, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

Also, because of Jesus we have victory over death this is because the Bible says in Romans 5:21, “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Therefore for us who are in Christ Jesus, we are in a realm of grace and we live by truth. What is truth? The Bible says in John 17:17, “…thy word is truth.” And the Bible says in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” So our victory over sin, death and the law is maintained when we continue to live our lives based on the truth of the Word of His grace. The Word of His grace is able to build you up and give you your inheritance in Christ.(Acts 20:32)

Prayer
Dear Father I commit myself to you and to the ministry of your Word in my life. I thank you because your Word is building me up. May my heart be established by your truth and your grace, causing me to walk in victory and liberty from all guilt from my past in Jesus Name. Amen.
