Taking territories

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”
 Colossians 1:13(KJV)

There are two kingdoms  fighting for supremacy over the seven spheres of influence in our world today. We have the Babylonian kingdom headed by satan, and the kingdom of God headed by Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in our opening scripture that we have been delivered from the power of darkness, in other words, we have been delivered from the authority and jurisdiction of darkness, and have been translated into the kingdom of Jesus.

This means that satan has authority over those in darkness. In Ephesians 6:12, the Bible talks about the rulers of the darkness of this world. The word 'rulers' in the Greek is 'kosmokrator' it refers to the spiritual forces that have power over the darkness in the world and which try to take territories for the kingdom of darkness.

For instance there are spiritual forces in regions who try to hold the people there captive, but we who are ambassadors of the kingdom of God go into such territories and invade them by prayer. After we've prayed up and bind those  spiritual forces holding  the people captive, we then release angels into that territory to facilitate the spread of the gospel in that region. (See 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Ephesians 2:2-3)

Then, after praying we must get the Word out, not only by personal evangelism but also through the sublime effect of the media, especially the radio and television whose waves permeates  the atmosphere with the Word of God leading to the salvation of many souls and increasing the influence of the kingdom of God, thereby taking that region for Christ. This is one of our strategy for kingdom invasion.

PRAYER
Dear Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus I pray that every available means by which the gospel is preached today will be effective in reaching the lost for the expansion of God's kingdom. Amen.

DOING THE WORD
“…pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:” 2Thessalonians 3:1
