Saved By Faith

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
Ephesians 2:8.

Our opening scripture shows us that you cannot receive salvation without faith. You are saved by grace through faith. This means that you receive salvation by faith.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23-28, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”

So how do you receive this salvation that has been freely made available in Christ? Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Prayer Of Salvation.
“O God, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe He is the Son of God. I believe He died, He was buried and raised from the dead on the third for my sins. With my mouth, I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I take Him as my personal Saviour. By my faith in the blood of Jesus, I believe I receive the washing away of all my sins. By my faith in the Name of Jesus, I believe I receive eternal life into my spirit. Jesus come into my heart, make me a new person from this day forward. I repent of my sins and I turn away from them. I receive grace to live the Christian life. Holy Spirit, show me what I was born to do and I receive grace to follow through with it. Thank You Father, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
